The aim of this research is to show the significant effects of albedo on the existence of out-of-plane equilibria in the elliptic restricted three-body problem under an oblate primary model. We computed out-of-plane equilibria numerically and graphically for different values of the parameters μ, α, e, k and σ where μ, α, e, k and σ are mass parameter, albedo factor, eccentricity, ratio of the luminosity of smaller primary to luminosity of bigger primary considered as constant and oblateness factor due to smaller primary, respectively. Further, we examined the stability of out-of-plane equilibria and found that these equilibria are unstable in linear sense for all parameters μ, α, e, k and σ. Finally, the three-dimensional periodic orbits are analyzed for different values of albedo factor α and oblateness factor σ.  相似文献

The phosphatic cement in the bioclastic sediment sequence on the northeastern shore of Dongdao Island in the South China Sea was studied and its paleoenvironmental implications discussed. Petrological characteristics and major, trace, REE element data unequivocally supported the notion that phosphatization was closely associated with avian guano decomposition and leaching, whereas carbon and oxygen isotope results further revealed that meteoric water were involved in these processes. AMS 14C dates on the brown phosphate cements indicate that they were formed around 5700, 5000–5100 and 2900 yr BP, respectively. The multi-episodes of phosphatization very likely correspond to intermittent seabird occupation on this island — possibly reflecting Holocene sea-level oscillation and/or long term climate changes in the South China Sea that have controlled seabird habitat. The phosphate cementation, which occurs widely in tropical islands, may be another useful monitor for sea-level and/or paleoclimate changes.  相似文献

The major and trace element geochemistry of lavas erupted from four volcanic front (VF) stratovolcanoes in southeastern Guatemala show differences in the relative importance of flux and decompression melting in a continental arc setting. The VF stratovolcanoes exhibit a wide compositional range from basalt to dacite, although modern Pacaya erupts basaltic lavas. The VF basalts have relatively low MgO contents and plot outside the field of primary arc magmas defined by melting experiments on hydrous peridotite. After subtracting the effects of the fractionation, assimilation, and alteration of some VF lavas, separate partial melting and mixing trends were identified for Agua–Pacaya and Tecuamburro–Moyuta.The distinct chemical signatures of the hemipelagic and carbonate sediments subducted off Guatemala provide constraints on material transfer processes that occurred between the slab and mantle wedge. Model fluids and melts from the subducted slab were calculated using recently published mineral–aqueous fluid partition coefficients. Wide separation of the model fluid and melt compositions on a U/La versus Ba/Th diagram creates diagnostic mixing curves with an enriched mid-ocean ridge basalt source. Fluid from mature ocean crust has high U/La, fluid from carbonate sediment has high Ba/Th, and fluid and melt from hemipelagic sediments have both high U/La and Ba/Th. In a simple single-stage model, a mantle metasomatized by fluid originating largely from the oceanic crust with only minor sediment fluid contributions best explains the overall large ion lithophile element composition of the VF lavas. (Th/Rb)N ratios of ∼1 in the VF lavas from southeastern Guatemala require a component of sediment melting. Therefore, a more realistic two-stage model to describe the Guatemalan arc data involves an initial hemipelagic sediment melt input to the wedge followed by minor fluid additions from the oceanic crust or sediments. Correlation between measures of slab input and extent of melting in the older VF lavas from Tecuamburro and Moyuta favors flux-dominated melting near the base of the mantle wedge. In sharp contrast, the lack of a relationship between slab additions and melting in younger lavas from Agua and Pacaya volcanoes implies a significant role for decompression melting closer to the top of the wedge. In this melting scenario, the rate of crustal extension determines the extent of melting.  相似文献

We study the non-collinear libration points in the frame work of photo-gravitational circular restricted three-body problem with Stokes drag acting as a dissipative force and considering the more massive primary as a radiating body and the less massive primary as a triaxial rigid body. The combined effects of radiation pressure and Stokes drag on the existence and stability of non-collinear libration points is analyzed. It is found that there exist two non-collinear libration points and are asymptotically stable in the interval 0.6149 ≤ q ≤ 1 for μ = 0.01, where q and μ are the radiation factor and mass ratio, respectively.  相似文献

A shallow-water model with horizontally nonuniform density is used to study the dynamics of jet flows that arise under the influence of buoyancy and the Coriolis force. Within this approach, the jet is described by a self-similar compactly-localized solution and interpreted as a band of shear flow having a temperature contrast with the ambient fluid. In addition to stationary states, the dynamics of such jets admit cyclonic rotation with a constant angular velocity and transverse nonlinear pulsations. The phase portrait corresponding to this model shows that regimes with pulsating jets develop along closed trajectories bounded by the separatrix loop. The theory predicts that the period for warm jet pulsations is longer than the inertial oscillation period caused by the Earth’s rotation, while for cold jet pulsations, it is shorter. Thus, only warm jets can have a noticeable effect on the atmospheric dynamics in the synoptic range. In particular, they may well be responsible for additional spectral peaks that appear in this range of wind speed fluctuations.  相似文献

Well-stratified lacustrine deposits of clay, silt, and marl occur within the rugged mountainous triangle of igneous and metamorphic rocks of Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. These deposits occur only in two sites along Wadi Feiran channel (Feiran and El-Tarfa Oases), where very dense acidic dykes intersect their stream courses. Such dykes played an important role in damming water from torrential rainfall during the humid period to form lakes. The SRTM (90 m) data and high-resolution images (IKONOS) have been utilized to reconstruct the paleolakes in terms of shape, size and water volume. Results show that lake deposits are located where acidic dykes cross narrow channel of high sinuosity. At their former heights, the dykes dammed the surface runoff, thus, three local freshwater paleolakes formed behind them. GIS analysis shows that the largest of these paleolakes was formed in the area of Feiran Oasis. Two other smaller paleolakes were formed at El-Tarfa Oasis due to the presence of two pronounced acidic dykes.These lake deposits were derived mainly from El-Tih Plateau via Wadi El-Akhdar. Another source of these deposits could have been a thin sedimentary cap over the weathered granites northeast of Feiran basin.  相似文献
