During the planning, designing, construction, operation and maintenance of highways, groundwater can be of important environmental
and constructional constraint that can significantly influence the safety operation of traffic and of big influence on the
operational costs of highways. To classify and conceptualize the relation between groundwater and highways, three important
groups of problems can be determined: groundwater protection from highway influences, protection of highway from groundwater
and economic use of groundwater for highway operation. In the present study, groundwater management strategies are represented
during all life cycles of highways. Greater emphasis is given to groundwater protection and field hydrogeological investigations
for proper groundwater management related to the highway. The approach adopted in Slovenia and the role of hydrogeology is

通过遥感技术与地面测定相结合的方法,对北京城市热岛现状作观测研究,得到北京城市地面的温度分布特点。使用北京大学城市边界层模式从气象观点就“楔形绿地”规划对北京城市气候的影响进行研究和评价,模式通过对城市地表复杂性和多样性的特征进行细致描述,建立了一个细致模拟城市特点的城市边界层能量平衡模式,并用此能量平衡模式得到的地面温度作为下边界条件,中尺度气象模式MM5做初始场和侧边界条件,建立一个最小分辨率为500 m的城市边界层模式系统,来研究城市边界层在中尺度背景场作用下的精细结构。通过个例模拟,模式能够较准确地模拟城市边界层的风温场分布情况,可以用来对楔形绿地规划进行模拟试验。通过对规划后的气象场在特定的气象条件下进行模拟,结果显示,建造大型的楔形绿地后,绿地区域及绿地周围约1 km以内的地区温度有所降低,降低的程度由规划前后的地表类型改变的剧烈程度、风速大小及与绿地的距离决定,但是这种规划方案却会因城市的下风方向的风速减小而导致通风不畅。 相似文献

Near Wall Flow over Urban-like Roughness 总被引:3,自引:35,他引:3
In this study, comprehensive measurements over a number of urban-type surfaces with the same area density of 25% have been performed in a wind tunnel. The experiments were conducted at a free stream velocity of 10 m s-1 and the main instrumentation was 120 ° x-wire anemometry, but measurement accuracy was checked using laser Doppler anemometry.The results haveconfirmed the strong three-dimensionalityof the turbulent flow inthe roughness sublayer and the depths of the inertial sublayer (log-law region) and roughness sublayer for each surface have been determined. Spatial averaging has been used to remove the variability of the flow in the roughness sublayer due to individual obstacles and it is shown that the spatially averaged mean velocity in the inertial sublayer and roughness sublayer can,together, be described by a single log-law with a mean zero-plane displacement and roughness length for the surface, provided that the proper surface stress is known. The spatially averaged shear stresses in the inertial sublayer and roughness sublayer are compared with the surface stress deduced from form drag measurements on the roughness elements themselves.The dispersive stress arising from the spatial inhomogeneity in the mean flow profiles was deduced from the data and is shown to be negligible compared with the usual Reynolds stresses in the roughness sublayer. Comparisons have been made between a homogeneous (regular element array) surface and one consisting of random height elements of the same total volume. Although the upper limits of the inertial sublayer for both surfaces were almost identical at equivalent fetch, the roughness sublayer was much thicker for the random surface than for the uniform surface, the friction velocity and the roughness length were significantly larger and the `roughness efficiency' was greater. It is argued that the inertial sublayer may not exist at all in some of the more extreme rough urban areas. The chemical composition of fogwater has been studied in the city of Strasbourg (France) from 1990 to 1999. During these years, fogwater samples have been collected and analysed for major ions and trace metals. This paper reports on the analysis of the collected dataset. The analysis revealed a significant decrease in acidity of approximately one pH unit over the course of the study. This decrease in acidity appears to be linked to a decrease in SO2(g) and the resulting SO42−. Trace metal concentrations have also strongly decreased over the 10-year period. Pb concentrations, following the elimination of leaded gasoline, decreased by more than one order of magnitude. 相似文献

An approximate method for linear analysis of asymmetric‐plan, multistorey buildings is specialized for a single‐storey, base‐isolated structure. To find the mode shapes of the torsionally coupled system, the Rayleigh–Ritz procedure is applied using the torsionally uncoupled modes as Ritz vectors. This approach reduces to analysis of two single‐storey systems, each with vibration properties and eccentricities (labelled ‘effective eccentricities’) similar to corresponding properties of the isolation system or the fixed‐base structure. With certain assumptions, the vibration properties of the coupled system can be expressed explicitly in terms of these single‐storey system properties. Three different methods are developed: the first is a direct application of the Rayleigh–Ritz procedure; the second and third use simplifications for the effective eccentricities, assuming a relatively stiff superstructure. The accuracy of these proposed methods and the rigid structure method in determining responses are assessed for a range of system parameters including eccentricity and structure flexibility. For a subset of systems with equal isolation and structural eccentricities, two of the methods are exact and the third is sufficiently accurate; all three are preferred to the rigid structure method. For systems with zero isolation eccentricity, however, all approximate methods considered are inconsistent and should be applied with caution, only to systems with small structural eccentricities or stiff structures. The sources of and pathways for groundwater recharge in urban areas are more numerous and complex than in rural environments.
Buildings, roads, and other surface infrastructure combine with man-made drainage networks to change the pathways for precipitation.
Some direct recharge is lost, but additional recharge can occur from storm drainage systems. Large amounts of water are imported
into most cities for supply, distributed through underground pipes, and collected again in sewers or septic tanks. The leaks
from these pipe networks often provide substantial recharge. Sources of recharge in urban areas are identified through piezometry,
chemical signatures, and water balances. All three approaches have problems. Recharge is quantified either by individual components
(direct recharge, water-mains leakage, septic tanks, etc.) or holistically. Working with individual components requires large
amounts of data, much of which is uncertain and is likely to lead to large uncertainties in the final result. Recommended
holistic approaches include the use of groundwater modelling and solute balances, where various types of data are integrated.
Urban recharge remains an under-researched topic, with few high-quality case studies reported in the literature.
