射电天文观测需要事先对射电源分布及天空背景有清晰的了解。目前国内射电天文台站缺乏射电天空与观测源分布可视化软件来对射电天空背景和观测源进行显示。开发一款简洁、移植性强的可视化软件,方便观测者直观地了解射电天空,帮助他们制定合理的观测计划。该软件使用C语言及PGPLOT子函数库编写,在Linux系统下运行,实现了星空的实时查询和按时查询,并支持用户更改观测台站、天空背景和射电源表等。该软件具有很好的扩展能力,将面向国内各天文台站及天文爱好者开源发布。 相似文献

The three‐dimensional building model is one of the most important components in a cyber city implementation. Currently, however, most building models do not have sufficient and accurate texture information. The lack of texture not only makes 3D building models less realistic in visualization, it may also fail to provide needed information in intricate applications. This study developed a polygon‐based texture mapping system to produce near photo‐realistic texture mappings for 3D building models. Textures of building exteriors were generated from mosaics of close‐range photographs acquired with commodity digital cameras. The developed system integrated multiple digital photographs to create texture mosaics that were continuous in geometric outlines and smooth in colour shadings, and correctly mapped them onto corresponding building model façades. A test example demonstrated that the resultant building model had more complete and accurate texture features as well as a near‐photo‐realistic appearance. 相似文献

Oceanographic data are complex in that they incorporate multiple measurements and various scales. They are truly three-dimensional, and often vary in time. As the ability to acquire data is constantly being enhanced by the introduction of new and increasingly sophisticated instruments, it is challenging for oceanographers to inspect oceanographic processes by analyzing the complex data conventionally. In this article, we discuss an integrated GIS/visualization approach to visualize oceanographic data in Monterey Bay in order to get a better understanding of upwelling processes. The GIS system performs data interpolation, unifies map projection, and filters the processed data to a computer visualization package. The multidimensional visualization and animation features of the visualization tool are used to gain insight into marine upwelling processes. In such an integrated environment, the water properties (i.e., temperature, salinity, and density) in Monterey Bay during upwelling are visualized, and the characteristics of upwelling are examined. The center of upwelling and the maximum depth of upwelling in Monterey Bay during the 1995 upwelling season are identified. The differences in temperature changing patterns between a typical upwelling year and an El Nino year are shown in this study. The integration of GIS and visualization makes it easier for oceanographers to discover and understand upwelling. 相似文献

This paper presents a Web-based three-dimensional Geographic Information System (3DGIS) for Wenchuan earthquake disaster assessment. With the help of information technology resources, geoscientists are in a position to learn more about the structure of the earthquake in efficient ways. Due to huge spatial datasets of Wenchuan, China and narrow network bandwidth, general-purpose applications are difficult to transmit and visualize these datasets on the network. The application aims to interactively represent and transfer large spatial objects of Wenchuan County, China, as well as for dynamically rendering them in networking environments. Level-of-detail (LOD) terrain models and vector maps are created, and the server–client architecture is presented.
