Stability against shallow mass sliding in saturated sandy slopes under seepage depends on the flow direction and hydraulic
gradient, particularly near the ground surface. Two modes of instability i.e., Coulomb sliding and liquefaction have been
studied and the critical flow directions discussed. The utility of the numerical approach in solving complex flow problems
with irregular boundaries and surface topography is demonstrated by means of two slope examples with different internal drainage
conditions. The numerical results for the seepage gradients at different points are compared with those predicted by the simple
expression derived in this study, and the corresponding effects on the stability are evaluated. 相似文献

黄骅坳陷埕北断坡处于歧口凹陷向埕宁隆起过渡的斜坡带上,发育多个不整合,这些不整合对该区的油气成藏起重要作用。利用地震资料,在剖面上将不整合划分为5种类型:褶皱不整合、断褶不整合、削截不整合、超覆不整合、平行不整合。其中平行不整合分布在凹陷区,褶皱不整合分布在基底,断褶不整合分布在大断裂下降盘,削截不整合分布在大断裂上升盘,而超覆不整合多分布在隆起斜坡区;利用测井资料,在纵向上将不整合划分为3层结构:不整合面之上岩石、风化粘土层及半风化岩石,由于每层结构的岩性与厚度不同,形成ACE型、ADE型、BCE型和BDF型4种岩性配置模式。不整合构成埕北断坡油气侧向运移的重要通道,同时在其之上形成超覆不整合油气藏,在其之下依靠风化粘土层遮挡形成削截不整合与褶皱不整合油气藏。勘探证实,研究区众多油气显示或油气藏均位于不整合面上、下50 m范围内。开展不整合与油气成藏关系研究,将拓宽黄骅坳陷隐蔽油气藏的勘探空间,对我国东部油气资源挖潜具有重要的理论与实践意义。 相似文献

This paper deals with groundwater hydrology at a prominent fracture zone landslide slope (Nuta–Yone landslides) in Japan with
an objective to explore an efficient method for the application of landslide stability enhancement measures. The correlation
analyses between the hydrological parameters and ground surface movement data at this landslide resulted in low correlation
values indicating that the geological formation of the area is extremely complex. For the purpose of understanding the groundwater
flow behavior in the landslide area, a three-dimensional transient groundwater flow model was prepared for a part of the landslide
slope, where the levels of effectiveness of applied landslide stability enhancement measures (in the form of multilayered
deep horizontal drains) are different, and was calibrated against the measured water surface elevations at different piezometer
locations. The parameter distributions in the calibrated model and the general directions of the groundwater flow in terms
of flow vectors and the results of particle tracking at the model site were interpreted to understand the reasons for variations
in effectiveness of existing landslide stability enhancement measures and to find potentially better locations for the implementation
of future landslide stability enhancement measures. From the modeling results, it was also understood that groundwater flow
model can be effectively used in better planning and locating the landslide stability enhancement measures. 相似文献

采用均匀设计安排试验,运用灰色理论中的灰色关联分析考察边坡稳定性影响因素的主次.结果表明,边坡稳定性影响因素的敏感性由大到小依次为:粘聚力、内摩擦角、重度、预应力、锚索间排距、锚索长度、锚固段长度、锚固角.可见,岩体的抗剪强度指标是影响边坡稳定性的最重要参数,其次是岩体的容重,而预应力锚索的设计参数对边坡的稳定性也有一定影响.这一分析结果为边坡开挖设计和加固方案的优化提供了重要依据. 相似文献

We estimate the response of chl-a (mg · m–3) to changes in concentrations of total phosphorus (TP) by calculating the slopeS = chl-a/TP in chl-a =f(TP) graphs. Results show that in years where algae are P-limited oligotrophic lakes respond less (median slope 0.21) to changes in nutrient concentrations than eutrophic lakes, (median slope 0.31) and these again less than hypereutrophic lakes, (median slope 1.02). We find no saturation value for the slope within the TP range considered (6–480 mg · m–3). Chl-a in eutrophic lakes responds more frequently to non-nutrient factors than oligotrophic and hypereutrophic lakes. Results obtained by replacing TP with a new nutrient parameter, TP = 0.056 · TP · IN0.226, in which inorganic nitrogen, IN, is factored in, suggest that nitrogen has an influence on chl-a in oligotrophic lakes. Blue-green algae respond less to changes in TP than other algal species, e.g., diatoms. 相似文献

Correlations in space and time play a fundamental role in earthquake processes. One direct manifestation of the effects of correlations is the occurrence of aftershocks due to the stress transfer in the vicinity of a main shock. Less obvious and more speculative changes in correlations may occur in the background seismicity before large earthquakes. Using statistical physics it is possible to introduce a measure of spatial correlations through a correlation length. This quantity characterizes how local fluctuations can influence the occurrence of earthquakes over distances comparable with the correlation length. In this work, the physical basis of spatial correlations of earthquakes is discussed in the context of critical phenomena and the percolation problem. The method of two-point correlation function is applied to the seismicity of California. Well defined variations in time of the correlation length are found for aftershock sequences and background seismicity. The scaling properties of our obtained distributions are analyzed with respect to changes in several scaling parameters such as lower magnitude cutoff of earthquakes, the maximum time interval between earthquakes, and the spatial size of the area considered. This scaling behavior can be described in a unified manner by utilizing the multifractal fit. Utilizing the percolation approach the time evolution of clusters of earthquakes is studied with the correlation length defined in terms of the radius of gyration of clusters.
