Palaeoenvironmental DNA (PalEnDNA) is defined as ancient DNA (aDNA) originating from disseminated genetic material within palaeoenvironmental samples. Sources of PalEnDNA include marine and lake sediments, peat, loess, till, ice, permafrost, palaeosols, coprolites, preserved gut contents, dental calculus, tephras, and soils as well as deposits in caves/rockshelters and at archaeological sites. PalEnDNA analysis provides a relatively new tool for Quaternary and archaeological sciences and its applications have included palaeoenvironmental and palaeodietary reconstructions, testing hypotheses regarding megafaunal extinctions, human–environment interactions, taxonomic studies, and studies of DNA damage. Because PalEnDNA samples comprise markedly different materials, and represent wide‐ranging depositional and taphonomic contexts, various issues must be addressed to achieve robust, reproducible findings. Such issues include climatic and temporal limitations, the biological origin and state (free versus bound) of PalEnDNA, stratigraphic reliability, sterile sampling, ability to distinguish modern from aDNA signals, DNA damage and PCR amplification, DNA extraction methods, and taxonomic resolution. In this review, we provide a non‐specialist introduction to the use of PalEnDNA for Quaternary and archaeological researchers, assess attributes and limitations of this palaeoenvironmental tool, and discuss future prospects of using PalEnDNA to reconstruct past environments.  相似文献

The lithostratigraphic framework of Lake Van, eastern Turkey, has been systematically analysed to document the sedimentary evolution and the environmental history of the lake during the past ca 600 000 years. The lithostratigraphy and chemostratigraphy of a 219 m long drill core from Lake Van serve to separate global climate oscillations from local factors caused by tectonic and volcanic activity. An age model was established based on the climatostratigraphic alignment of chemical and lithological signatures, validated by 40Ar/39Ar ages. The drilled sequence consists of ca 76% lacustrine carbonaceous clayey silt, ca 2% fluvial deposits, ca 17% volcaniclastic deposits and 5% gaps. Six lacustrine lithotypes were separated from the fluvial and event deposits, such as volcaniclastics (ca 300 layers) and graded beds (ca 375 layers), and their depositional environments are documented. These lithotypes are: (i) graded beds frequently intercalated with varved clayey silts reflecting rising lake levels during the terminations; (ii) varved clayey silts reflecting strong seasonality and an intralake oxic–anoxic boundary, for example, lake‐level highstands during interglacials/interstadials; (iii) CaCO3‐rich banded sediments which are representative of a lowering of the oxic–anoxic boundary, for example, lake level decreases during glacial inceptions; (iv) CaCO3‐poor banded and mottled clayey silts reflecting an oxic–anoxic boundary close to the sediment–water interface, for example, lake‐level lowstands during glacials/stadials; (v) diatomaceous muds were deposited during the early beginning of the lake as a fresh water system; and (vi) fluvial sands and gravels indicating the initial flooding of the lake basin. The recurrence of lithologies (i) to (iv) follows the past five glacial/interglacial cycles. A 20 m thick disturbed unit reflects an interval of major tectonic activity in Lake Van at ca 414 ka bp . Although local environmental processes such as tectonic and volcanic activity influenced sedimentation, the lithostratigraphic pattern and organic matter content clearly reflect past global climate changes, making Lake Van an outstanding terrestrial archive of unprecedented sensitivity for the reconstruction of the regional climate over the last 600 000 years.  相似文献

为了更好地做好雷电灾害风险评估,减少雷电带来的损失风险,提出了对雷电灾害风险评估标准中损失量的量化方法。一种方法是基于年雷暴日的量化,另一种方法是利用闪电定位资料,采用了多元回归分析对损失量进行量化,回归试验结果表明:F分布高度显著,相关系数平方可达0.7569。后一种量化方法比前一种量化方法造成的相对误差更小,因此利用年雷暴日量化分析仍存在不足,而基于闪电资料的量化分析更能科学地量化损失量,进而为精细化的雷电灾害风险评估提供科学的参考依据。  相似文献

西北地区是指贺兰山及六盘山以西和昆仑山以北的我国西北部的广大地区。作者在各露头剖面及钻井剖面的地层学和岩石学研究的基础上,采用单因素分析综合作图法,编制出了中国西北地区寒武系各统的各种单因素图和寒武纪各世的岩相古地理图。这些岩相古地理图具有定量、多级别和多类型的特点。定量,即每个古地理单元的划分和确定都有确切的定量的单因素数据和图件为依据。多级别,即已划分出三级古地理单元,如陆和海为一级;在海中又划分出台地、盆地和斜坡,为二级;在台地中,又划分出滩、坪、湖等,为三级。多类型,即每个古地理单元,主要是二级和三级古地理单元,还可根据其岩石特征区分出不同的类型,如台地可区分出碳酸盐岩台地、碎屑岩台地等,盆地可区分出硅质岩盆地、碎屑岩盆地、石灰岩盆地、复理石盆地、火山岩盆地等,滩可区分出亮晶颗粒滩(准滩、雏滩)、灰泥颗粒滩(准滩、雏滩)等。这种古地理图在西北地区还是首次出现。西北地区寒武纪岩相古地理格局可概括为“陆海并存,海中台盆相间分布,台中有滩坪湖,台盆间有坡”。新疆北山地区和西昆仑甘青地区的古地理特征有所不同,但其古地理格局和演化阶段以及海进过程则是相同的。  相似文献

Post‐earthquake safety evaluation of steel moment‐resisting frames mainly relies on the inspection of seismic damage to beam–column connections. Recently, in order to evaluate seismic damage of steel connections in a prompt and precise manner, a local damage evaluation method based on dynamic strain responses has been proposed and receives attention. In the evaluation method where strain responses are measured by piezoelectric strain sensors, a strain‐based damage index has been developed for evaluating individual seismic beam damage in a steel frame. However, for a steel frame suffering multiple beam damages, the damage index deteriorates its performance in identifying small damages with the presence of neighboring severe damages because of the moment redistributions induced by larger damages. This paper presents a decoupling algorithm that removes the issue of damage interaction and improves the performance of the damage index. The decoupling algorithm was derived on the basis of damage‐induced moment release and redistribution mechanism. The effectiveness of the decoupling algorithm was numerically and experimentally investigated using a nine‐story steel frame model and a large scale five‐story steel frame testbed that can simulate multiple fractures at beam ends. 采用WSR模型分析建筑工程抗震结构造价控制问题时,存在造价控制效果差的弊端。通过设计的高层建筑工程抗震结构造价控制模型构建造价控制的递阶层次结构,获取高层建筑工程造价控制的多种方案,从多种方案中通过三标度法和权重向量法获取造价控制的最优方案;另外采用质量量化QoS调度方法进行高层建筑工程造价效益控制约束均衡设计,以获取最优方案中高层建筑工程抗震结构造价控制的结果。实验结果表明,所设计模型可有效分析高层建筑的质量化特征,可改进控制高层抗震结构工程造价,预估消耗成本可控制在1.8万元以下,且分析耗时均值为0.15 h,具有节省成本和效率快的优势,控制效果较好。  相似文献

The middle valley of the river Ain (Jura) cuts through glacio-lacustrine deposits laid down in an ice-dammed lake during the most recent glacial advance. The total volume eroded is about 6·21 × 108 m3for a surface area of 3·7 × 107 m2. Erosion occurred between 18 ka BP and 6 ka BP , i.e. over a duration of some 12 ka. Sediment yield from the area was of the order of 2500 t km−2 a−1, which is comparable with modern-day sediment yield from NW African badlands. These high values are ascribed to the amenability of glacio-lacustrine deposits to mechanical weathering and to the rapid geomorphological changes that affected glacial and paraglacial sedimentary cover after the retreat of the ice. The valley slopes were destabilized by mass wasting (earthflow and mudflow), which was the predominant erosional process. 古代玻璃及玻璃质材料的定量分析对于研究其制作年代及产地、原料的来源以及制作工艺有着重要的参考意义。与电子探针(EMPA)、能谱扫描-电子显微镜(EDX-SEM)等分析方法相比,LA-ICP-MS能够快速且准确地提供样品主次量及微量元素信息。本文对LA-ICP-MS古代玻璃元素定量分析中的影响因素进行研究认为:在193nm激光下玻璃标准NIST610和康宁玻璃标准之间基体差异造成的影响较小,而采用玻璃标准NIST610为外标结合基体归一化法的校正策略测定康宁标准结果表明,该策略能够准确反映不同类型古代玻璃材料中成分组成;实验中不同剥蚀模式的研究,有助于不同实验条件的建立,从而满足不同研究的需要。本次研究对出土样品进行了分析,为该制品的产源研究提供了数据支持。  相似文献

Determining the carrying capacity of ecological resources is the key to finding contradictions between human activities and the environment, as well as the links between economic growth, environmental protection and social development. In recent years, the carrying capacity of the ecological environment has been extensively studied at home and abroad. Through extensive literature research and analysis, this paper discusses the current status and main problems of recent research on the carrying capacity of the ecological environment in China. For example, two of the main problems are that: 1) the concepts and connotations are not clear enough, and 2) the research content is not systematic enough. This is followed by a summary of the evaluation index system and main calculation methods. Finally, according to the research status and development trends at home and abroad, the possible direction for the development of this research field in the future is proposed.  相似文献
