Model calculations were carried out to determine the extent of the effects on the rotational bursting of F-coronal dust in eccentric orbits due to their interaction with the flow of coronal mass ejections (CMEs). The model included an initial limiting perihelion distance of 8 solar radii (RS) for all particles used. The parameters of the CMEs (velocity and proton number density) along with the various parameters of the dust particles (size and median density) were taken into consideration. By keeping these parameters the same and varying one of them, it was found that the velocity of the CMEs protons plays a major role in determining at which heliocentric distance the particle bursts. To a lesser degree, the median density of the particle also had a similar effect. Depending on the values of the dust particles orbital eccentricity, limiting sizes of the dust particles were found beyond which the particles do not burst. More particles bursted in regions close to their perihelion passage, however very few particles bursted near 8RS from which we conclude that the majority of the fragmented particles were outside the F-corona region. The results show that rotational bursting of the dust in eccentric orbits inside the F-corona forces the particles to fragment outside 8RS. 相似文献

在符合岩体实际的弹性、应变非线性硬化和具拐点的非线性软化的三段式光滑连接应力-应变关系条件下,求得静水压力下圆形巷、隧道围岩塑性硬化区和软化区的应力分布表达式。证明了所求得的巷道围岩径向和切向应力曲线在硬化区半径 和软化区半径 处均光滑连接,特别是所求得的切向应力 - 曲线没有尖峰向上的应力集中,此结果与日本学者久武胜保的试验结果一致。指出基于理想弹、塑性本构模型的Kastener解有明显缺陷,其 - 曲线尖峰向上的应力集中与实际不符。 相似文献

在大理岩、红砂岩和花岗岩的单轴压缩和常规三轴压缩试验的基础上,发现它们的极限包络线可以大致设为一条平均直线,利用此直线可以确定其斜率和粘结应力。用于计算硬化的两个硬化系数应选取应力-应变曲线上应力峰值前若干点的数据计算。试验发现岩石的破坏与阶段改变处相距不远,不能用Desai提出的方法确定阶段改变参数n。笔者认为取稍大于2的值是比较合适的。在预测材料的应力-应变曲线时,提出一种简单实用的方法,即把岩石初始压密阶段的终点作为初始状态,用该点的应力状态计算初始的硬化参数和累积塑性应变。 相似文献

The present paper introduces a comprehensive model that is capable of describing the behaviour, under cyclic loading, of the granular materials used in railway tracks and road pavement. Its main thrust is the introduction of the “Chicago” law in a continuum approach to account for the ratcheting effects. It also emphasizes rate-dependency as a dissipative mechanism that acts independently or jointly with the ratcheting effect as well as the non-associated plasticity. The numerical procedure is based on the return mapping algorithm, where Newton’s method is used to calculate the nonlinear consistency parameter of the flow rule and to obtain a consistent tangent modulus. When performing landslide susceptibility mapping of rotational slides in fine grained soils, slope algorithms found in common GIS software have two major shortcomings. Firstly, these types of terrain algorithms only consider the slope angle at the surface. Secondly, the algorithm is local by its design i.e. it only considers neighbouring pixels. Due to the behaviour of a retrogressive rotational landslide, it would be more preferable to consider slope information as a predetermined cross-section angle from the base of the slope. This paper presents a new method using shadow casting algorithms for preliminary landslide susceptibility mapping in cohesive soils. A case study from western Sweden is also presented. 相似文献

A simple mechanical model is formulated to study the dynamics of rubble-pile asteroids, formed by the gravitational re-accumulation of fragments after the collisional breakup of a parent body. In this model, a rubble-pile consists of N interacting fragments represented by rigid ellipsoids, and the equations of motion explicitly incorporate the minimal degrees of freedom necessary to describe the attitude and rotational state of each fragment. In spite of its simplicity, our numerical examples indicate that the overall behavior of our model is in line with several known properties of collisional events, like the energy and angular momentum partition during high velocity impacts. We use the mapping-phase high-altitude magnetic measurements provided by Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) between March 1999 and April 2003 to model nine relatively isolated magnetic anomalies of Mars. Each anomaly is modeled with an elliptical prism. Each component of the observed magnetic field is modeled independently using an elliptical prism in order to assess the reliability of the results and suppress non-crustal and nearby crustal source contaminations. The paleomagnetic pole positions are obtained from the magnetization vectors of the model source bodies. We clean the data by removing the bad tracks and then divide the entire data into two sets that are measured at different times. Applying covariance analysis in the Fourier domain to two maps of the same magnetic component that are derived from the two sets provides a means to extract the most common features of the maps. The quality of a model is evaluated and only good models are used in the final geophysical interpretation. Most poles that come from good models cluster in the Tharsis region, suggesting that Mars experienced polar motion since the magnetic source bodies were magnetized. 相似文献

We investigate planetary fly-bys of asteroids using an approximate volume-averaged method that offers a relatively simple, but very flexible, approach to study the rotational dynamics of ellipsoids. The asteroid is considered to be a deformable, prolate ellipsoid, with its interior being modeled as a rigid-granular material. Effects due to the asteroid's rotation, its self-gravity and gravitational interaction with the planet are included. Using a simplified approach allows us to explore in detail the mechanics of asteroid's deformations and disruptions during planetary encounters. We also compare our results with those obtained by Richardson et al. [Richardson, D.C., Bottke Jr., W.F., Love, S.G., 1998. Icarus 134, 47-76] who used a large numerical code. We find that many of the features reported by them can indeed be captured by our rather simple methodology, and we discuss the reasons why some of our results differ from theirs. 相似文献
