The author selects a thorny issue of doubled designations that bother policy-makers, professional planners and managers in the field of conservation for protected areas. The analyzed case study areas cover 5 National Geoparks of China in Sichuan Province, 18 UNESCO Global Geoparks in China, and 219 World Heritage sites in China and 8 European nations. Through analysis and synthesis, the author concludes that doubled designation, which also leads to unbalanced park distribution, is particularly prevalent in China other than in Europe. Therefore, on-site management agencies and related governments in China should carefully translate the doubled designations into responsibilities and harmonious partnerships between all stakeholders in order to enhance the management effectiveness and avoid paper park phenomenon. 相似文献

哈萨山蛇绿岩位于东昆中缝合带中部,为昆仑山世界地质公园三大核心地质遗迹之一,蛇绿岩出露较为完整,通过对蛇绿岩中堆晶辉长岩进行LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb同位素测年研究,获得年龄值为438.5±2.6 Ma,表明蛇绿岩形成于早志留世。岩石地球化学研究显示,蛇纹岩的原岩为橄榄岩类,蛇纹岩的稀土元素总量较低,呈右倾斜的配分曲线;辉长岩显示轻稀土较重稀土富集,具有不同程度的Eu负异常,配分曲线较为平缓,略呈右倾型;玄武岩具有轻稀土较重稀土富集的特征,具有明显的Eu负异常,相对富集大离子亲石元素,高场强元素呈平坦型,Nb、P轻微亏损,各样品配分曲线大致平行于E-MORB谱线,显示为同源岩浆,主要表现为E-MORB特征,并具有洋中脊向洋岛过渡的特征,其形成的构造环境应属初始小洋盆,可能为原特提斯洋洋壳残迹,形成于洋陆转换早期。 相似文献

地质公园作为21世纪兴起的新生事物,它把地质遗迹资源作为一种特殊类型的自然资源加以保护和利用,是人类合理利用地球资源的一项创举,在地质遗迹保护、科学知识传播和区域可持续发展中发挥了重要的作用。在中国,地质公园有三个类型:省级地质公园、国家地质公园和教科文组织世界地质公园。它们之间既有密切的关联,又各具特征,在理念、管理、标准、和发展目标等方面,存在一定的相似性,但又有明显的差异。对这些异同点认识上的不足导致在过去20年的地质公园发展过程中,产生了许多问题。本文从分析中国国家地质公园和教科文组织世界地质公园的异同点出发,指出其产生的历史和观念上原因,并给出可能的解决方案。 相似文献

The G-WADI network by UNESCO promotes the global capacity for management of water resources in arid and semi-arid areas.
The primary aim has been to build a comprehensive global network to promote regional and international cooperation so as to increase
knowledge and improve management practices through the sharing of information. The G-WADI objectives and achievements
of the past 10 years are reviewed. A number of key initiatives have been implemented––the formation of five regional networks,
the creation of a central G-WADI web site, promotion of near-real-time rainfall distribution software enhanced by the inclusion
of satellite based precipitation estimations, as well as workshop and web-based activities on chemical and isotopic tracers
and on rain water harvesting. Two workshops on surface and on groundwater modeling, supported by publications have been held
in India and China. The Asian G-WADI network remains very active, but activities in the other three regions are developing (Africa,

Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark (DHGG) is rich in geoheritage and contains scientific value for studying the sedimentation environments and paleoclimates of Western China. The Geopark is also notable for its aesthetic, cultural, artistic, and recreational value for tourism development. Since geographer Sven Hedin’s discovery of a yardang landform around Lop Nur in 1903, the area has been heavily studied. After the site was designated a National Geopark, geoconservation and geotourism began to rapidly develop and problems associated with these changes emerged. This study characterizes some of DHGG’s typical geoheritage, existing geoconservation, launched geotourism, and also describes some of the area’s challenges. In addition, the opportunities and challenges of DHGG arising from the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road (B&R) are discussed. To benefit the sustainable development of DHGG, it is prudent to continue promoting geodiversity, geoconservation, and geotourism by making use of the advantages brought by the B&R. 相似文献
