The mid‐Silurian Major Mitchell Sandstone of the Grampians Group outcrops at Mt Bepcha, western Victoria, represent a prograding fluviodeltaic sequence comprising four lithofacies and five ichnofacies. The stratigraphically lowest Interbedded Sandstone/Siltstone Facies is characterised by thin sandstone and siltstone beds with soft‐sediment deformation and scours with gravelly lag deposits. This lithofacies contains Thalassinoides, Palaeophycus, Rhizocorallium and intrastratal burrows, together indicative of the Cruziana Ichnofacies, and is interpreted as a shallow‐marine depositional environment on a low‐energy delta front with minor tidal influences. The overlying Massive Sandstone Facies lacks silt, and consists of predominantly massive and some plane‐laminated sandstone, abundant Skolithos linearis , rare Palaeophycus and a single small Cruziana problematica ; the trace‐fossil assemblage is assigned to the Skolithos Ichnofacies. This facies is believed to have been deposited in a marine high‐energy shoreface environment with continuously shifting sands, affected by periodic flooding events from the mouth of a nearby river. Above this is the Trough Cross‐bedded Facies, which contains trough cross‐bedding with gravelly lag deposits, a northwest palaeocurrent direction and large Taenidium barretti burrows (Burrowed Ichnofacies). This facies also contains abundant plane‐laminated sandstone with a northeast‐southwest palaeocurrent direction and ichnofossils of Scoyenia and Daedalus , representing the Scoyenia Ichnofacies. The Trough Cross‐bedded Facies is interpreted to have been deposited in shallow low‐sinuosity channels by overbank‐flooding events, most likely on a delta plain. The uppermost facies, the Plane‐laminated Facies, contains thin beds of current‐lineated, plane‐laminated graded coarse to fine sandstone that preserve arthropod trackways (Arthropod Ichnofacies). This facies was deposited on a periodically sheet‐flooded, subaerially exposed delta plain.  相似文献

五台岩群石咀亚群石榴云母片岩主要由石榴石、黑云母、白云母、斜长石、石英和钛铁矿等构成,少量样品含绿帘石、十字石、蓝晶石或斜方闪石.样品的SiO2为51.75% ~69.06%,Al2O2为11.99%~20.39%,个别贫钠,稀土元素配分模式上显示轻稀土富集、重稀土相对亏损的样式,无明显Eu异常[(La/Yb)N =3.10~ 19.20,(Eu/Eu*)N=0.90~ 1.13],高场强元素和大离子亲石元素与世界典型页岩成分一致.元素间的协变关系指示粘土矿物控制了岩石的化学成分.通过原岩类型判别、重矿物优选堆积判别、物源判别和沉积构造环境判别等方法,恢复其原岩以页岩为主,无明显的重矿物优选堆积,沉积物主要来自五台地区同时代的TTG或/和基性岩石,沉积于弧盆环境,可能的沉积时代为2.53~2.50 Ga.结合THERMOCALC变质相平衡模拟和变质锆石SHRIMP U-Pb定年结果,得到其在~1.95 Ga经历了p-t轨迹为顺时针样式的蓝晶石型变质作用.  相似文献

龙首山东段滑石口井地区存在一套浅变质的沉积岩系,原被认为属于古元古代“龙首山岩群”.本文取自这套变沉积岩系的2件样品的碎屑锆石年龄范围介于0.52~3.56 Ga之间,与相邻的寒武系大黄山群碎屑锆石年龄谱相似,其时代可能为中、晚寒武世.取自原“龙首山岩群”和寒武系大黄山群的3件变沉积岩样品中,共获得129个谐和的碎屑锆石年龄,主要分布在0.7~1.2 Ga(约占47%,峰值~0.8、~0.94、~1.0 Ga)和2.5~2.8 Ga(约占31%,峰值~2.5、~2.7 Ga),相对较小的年龄群集中在0.5~0.6 Ga(约占7%,峰值~0.56 Ga)和1.4~1.8 Ga(约占10%,峰值~1.5 Ga),其余年龄零星分布于1.8~2.4 Ga,少量锆石年龄>3.0 Ga.碎屑物源分析认为,大黄山群的碎屑物质主要来自祁连地块,其中新元古代末一早古生代初期的碎屑物质来自北祁连造山带相关的火成岩,新元古代碎屑物质来自祁连地块广泛分布的新元古代岩浆岩,而中元古代一太古宙碎屑物质可能来自祁连地块再循环的变质基底岩石.结合区域地质资料认为,龙首山东段的浅变质沉积岩系和寒武系大黄山群可能沉积于祁连地块北侧的大陆边缘,在构造背景上属于祁连造山带,而不属于阿拉善地块.  相似文献

东昆仑祁漫塔格花岗片麻岩记录的岩浆和变质事件   总被引:14,自引:6,他引:8  
东昆仑青海祁漫塔格尕林格一带原定为金水口群的眼球状花岗片麻岩,实际为新元古代早期形成的花岗岩.采用SHRIMP和LA-MC-ICP-MS两种方法对其中的锆石进行了测试,获得的年龄分别为938±5Ma和938±2Ma,代表了花岗岩的形成时代.花岗岩地球化学特征显示为S-型,属于钙碱性系列的弱过铝-过铝质花岗岩,εNd(0)为-9.4~-11.7,εNd(t=938Ma)为-0.6~-3.2,显示低的负值,tDM为1.6 ~2.1Ga,推测其源岩与白沙河岩组类似.东昆仑东段、柴北缘以及阿尔金均有1000~900Ma的花岗岩形成,表明这次岩浆活动比较广泛,可能与我国西部不同陆块间的汇聚有关,是我国西部新元古代克拉通基底形成的反映,同时也响应于全球Rodinia超大陆的形成.花岗片麻岩中1粒锆石边部获得了416±11Ma的年龄,与区域上志留-泥盆纪花岗岩形成时代一致,代表了新元古代花岗岩发生变质作用的时代,其中白云母40Ar/39Ar的坪年龄和等时线年龄为406±2Ma,代表了变质花岗岩的冷却年龄,这些年龄表明新元古代花岗岩卷入了古生代中期与祁漫塔格洋/海盆关闭有关的造山事件.  相似文献

对赣中周潭群副变质岩中的碎屑锆石开展了LA-ICP-MS U-Pb定年工作,两个石榴黑云母片岩和一个黑云母片岩三个样品中碎屑锆石给出的最年轻的年龄峰值分别为834±11Ma、830±11Ma和809±15Ma.这些碎屑锆石具有与江南造山带内冷家溪群及其相当地层类似的年龄谱型式和相近的最年轻的年龄峰值,表明周潭群应与它们有相似的形成历史和源区,产生于相似的构造环境.因此,周潭群在新元古代扬子地块与华夏地块拼接的过程中,应与冷家溪群、双桥山群等地层一样靠近扬子一侧,而不应属华夏地块.从黑云母片岩部分碎屑锆石的变质边获取的年龄分别为444±11Ma和438±11Ma,表明周潭群地层的变质作用发生在加里东期,与华夏地块其他地区的角闪岩相变质岩的变质年龄一致.相反,与周潭群同期的双桥山群、冷家溪群等地层均未达到角闪岩相变质.这表明,在扬子和华夏地块新元古代的拼接之后,二块体在(现在的)赣中地区又裂开,从而导致了周潭群和相邻的冷家溪群及双桥山群在加里东时期有不同的变质响应.  相似文献

分布于龙门山逆冲推覆带内的黄水河群夹片,为一套典型的浅变质(绿片岩)岩系,局部变质程度可达低角闪岩相,其中火山岩广泛发育.本文在野外地质调查基础之上,结合岩石学、岩相学分析,对干河坝组中采集的玄武岩锆石进行SHRIMP U-Pb测年,获得(799±8)Ma和(875±12)Ma两个206pb/238U加权平均年龄值,前者为玄武岩结晶(成岩)年龄,表明该玄武岩形成于新元古代中期,后者为捕获锆石年龄信息,代表晋宁运动的一次构造岩浆事件.结合区域上的成果资料,认为黄水河群与盐井群、苏雄组为晚青白口纪同时代沉积的地层.  相似文献

中国盐湖锂资源非常丰富,但由于镁锂比高、镁锂性质相似而使得二者难以分离,锂资源开发利用成本较高。本文采用组贡献法对LiCl·2Al(OH)3·2H2O的标准生成吉布斯自由能进行了估算,在热力学计算的基础上绘制了298.15K时Li+-Al3+-Cl--H2O体系和Li+-Mg2+-Al3+-Cl--H2O系的电位-pH(φ-pH)图。计算结果表明,通过调控体系的pH,可使溶液中的Li+与Al形成沉淀而Mg2+仍留在溶液中,从而实现溶液中的镁锂分离。在理论计算的基础上进行了镁锂分离的验证实验,实验结果与热力学计算结果基本吻合,镁锂分离效果良好。  相似文献

The determination of the thermal (temperature–time) histories of high‐P metamorphic terranes has been commonly based on the concepts of slow cooling and closure temperatures. In this paper, we find that this approach cannot reconcile a geochronological data set obtained from the amphibolite‐facies allochthonous Leknes Group of the Lofoten islands, Norway, which reveals an extremely complex thermal history. Using detailed results from several different geochronometers such as 40Ar/39Ar, Rb–Sr and U–Pb, we show that a model invoking multiple, short‐lived thermal pulses related to hot‐fluid infiltration channelized by shear zones can reconcile this complicated data set. This model suggests that hot fluids infiltrated throughout basement shear zones and affected the overlying cold allochthon, partially resetting U/Pb rutile and titanite ages, crystallizing new zircon and produced identical 40Ar/39Ar and Rb/Sr ages in muscovite, biotite and amphibole in various rocks throughout the region. This paper shows the enormous potential of coupling laser Ar‐spot data with thermal modelling to identify and constrain the duration of short‐lived events. An optimal P–T–t history has been derived by modelling the age data from a previously dated large muscovite crystal (Hames & Andresen, 1996, Geology, 24 :1005) and using Zr‐in‐rutile thermometry which is consistent with all geochronological data and geological constraints from the basement zones and allochthon cover. This tectonothermal model history suggests that there have been three episodic hot‐fluid and 40Ar‐free infiltration events, resulting in the total resetting of Ar ages during the Scandian (425 Ma) for 1 Ma at 650°C and two reheating events at 415 Ma for 400 ka at 650°C and at 365 Ma for 50 ka at 600°C, which are modelled as thermal spikes above an ambient temperature of 300°C. Independent confirmation of these parameters was provided by Pb‐diffusion modelling in rutile and titanite. The model suggests that the amphibolite facies rocks of the Leknes Group probably remained cold before being exhumed for at least 60 Ma (425–365 Ma) and successfully explains the presence of different minerals that crystallized or were totally/partially reset in the allochthon and in the basement. The migration of hot fluids for short periods of times within conduits extending through the basement and allochthon rock units is likely associated with episodic seismic activity during the Caledonian orogeny.  相似文献

Seismic-reflection data show that most deepwater (>200 m water depth) basins are filled by sand and mud dispersed across clinoformal geometries characterized by gently dipping topsets, steeper foresets and gently dipping bottomsets. However, the entire geometry of these ubiquitous clinoforms is not always recognized in outcrops. Sometimes the infill is erroneously interpreted as “layer cake” or “ramp” stratigraphy because the topset-foreset-bottomset clinoforms are not well exposed. Regional 2-D seismic lines show clinoforms in the Lower to Middle Jurassic Challaco, Lajas, and Los Molles formations in S. Neuquén Basin in Argentina. Time equivalent shelf, slope and basin-floor segments of clinoforms are exposed, and can be walked out in hundreds of metres thick and kilometres-wide outcrops. The studied margin-scale clinoforms are not representing a continental-margin but a deepwater shelf margin that built out in a back-arc basin. Lajas-Los Molles clinoforms have been outcrop-mapped by tracing mudstones interpreted as flooding surfaces on the shelf and abandonment surfaces (low sedimentation rate) in the deepwater basin. The downslope and lateral facies variability in the outcrops is also consistent with a clinoform interpretation. The Lajas topset (shelf) is dominated by fluvial and tidal deposits. The shelf-edge rollover zone is occasionally occupied by a 40–50-m-thick coarse-grained shelf-edge delta, sometimes incising into the underlying slope mudstones, producing oblique clinoforms expressing toplap erosion on seismic. A muddy transgressive phase capping the shelf-edge deltas contains tidal sandbodies. Shelf-edge deltas transition downslope into turbidite- and debris flow-filled channels that penetrate down the mud-prone Los Molles slope. At the base-of-slope, some 300m below the shelf edge, there are basin-floor fan deposits (>200 m thick) composed of sandy submarine-fan lobes separated by muddy abandonment intervals. The large-scale outcrop correlation between topset–foreset–bottomset allows facies and depositional interpretation and sets outcrop criteria recognition for each clinoform segment.  相似文献
