Under normal temperature, the creep experiments with complete samples of Gabbro and Marble rocks are made under uniaxial compression.
It is found that at the instantaneous creeping stage, AE activities increase with loading; at the steady creeping stage, large
AE signals may appear at lower background of AE action, andm—value which shows the relationship between AE amplitude and frequency keeps stable on the low value or decreases; at the
accelerate creeping stage, AE activities increase andm—value decreases quickly or decreases again after recovery. These experimental results are related to the quality of the samples.
In this paper, AE activities during three stages of creeping process are connected with the seismic patterns (for exampleb—value, foreshocks). Finally, it is pointed out the possibility that the foreshock—mainshock—aftershock earthquake sequence
has been formed by the mechanism of creep fracture of crustal rocks.

During and after the very wet 1991/1992 winter experienced in Jordan, significant slope failures occurred along several sections of the new Irbid-Amman highway in Jordan. The topography over most of the route is hilly, and significant amounts of cut and fill were used to construct the highway. One such slope failure lies at 44+800 km on the highway south of Jerash City at a distance of about 5.0 km from Wadi Zerqa bridge. A landslide occurred downslope of the highway embankment resulting in a collapse of the most of the gabbion wall supporting the embankment. This paper deals with the overall stability of the slope at 44+800 km. It presents the geological and geotechnical studies carried out at this site, identifies the causes and mechanism of instability, and presents appropriate remedial measures. The study concluded that the landslide movement occurred within the colluvium material. It resulted primarily from excess piezometric pressures generated within the slope as a direct consequence of inadequate drainage. It is recommended to reconstruct the entire gabbion wall with its foundation seated on the sandstone that underlies the colluvium and to install a surface drainage system at the site. 相似文献

The remote sensing observational study for infrared radiation of rocks was proceeded during the loading on rocks until failure.
The major instruments used in experiments were transient spectrum apparatus, intelligent spectrum apparatus, infrared radiation
thermometer, infrared spectrum radiometer, and infrared thermal imaging system. The experiments for 26 kinds of rocks were
made. The studies show that infrared radiation temperature of rocks increases along with increasing of stress. The amplitude
of infrared radiation spectrum of rocks also increases along with increasing of stress. The observational results of infrared
thermal imaging of rocks are consistent with infrared radiation temperature. Before formation of major faults for some rocks,
the belt-shape thermal imaging of temperature anomaly displaies in position of future major faults. This study has led the
new technology of remote sensing into rock mechanics and tend to establish a new field in rock mechanics — remote sensing
rock mechanics (or remote sensing rock physics). The application of remote sensing rock mechanics in prediction of earthquake
and rock burst, and in measurement of stress field in rock mass is expected.

根据室内岩石变形声发射实验结果,计算了声发射序列的地震非均匀度GL值,并以此探讨了岩石破裂失稳的可预测性。在双轴压缩、等速率加载条件下,含障碍体断层、挤压雁列断层和Ⅲ型剪切断层等非连续岩石标本在临近滑动失稳前,声发射活动均出现了显著的均匀—非均匀的状态变化,表现为GL值出现持续大于1的异常变化,GL值异常的位置与破裂成核部位相重合,并与断层走向一致;改变统计窗长、窗内分割数及能级统计下限计算声发射序列的GL值,结果表明,GL值计算结果具有一定的稳定性。综合分析认为,地震非均匀度(GL值)可以较好地刻画岩石失稳前夕因破裂成核导致的声发射活动在时间分布上的状态变化,GL值持续异常是岩石失稳的显著性标志,对预测岩石失稳具有较好的指示意义。 相似文献

与地面水平时地基土体的对称破坏模式不同,临近基坑(边坡)地基土体的破坏模式呈现明显的非对称性.利用FLAC-3D数值模拟技术,研究了在竖向极限荷载作用下临近基坑c-ψ土地基不同工况时的破坏模式,得出了与J.Graham所假设的边坡附近无黏性土地基破坏模式相一致的结论.最后将数值模拟结果与大尺寸模型试验数据以及J.Graham的基于应力特征线法的非对称滑动破坏模式的地基承载力理论解进行了分析对比.结果表明,采用叠加计算方法得到的承载力系数Nγq偏于安全. 相似文献

堤坝管涌的室内试验与颗粒流细观模拟研究 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
本文对水流垂直方向的堤坝管涌现象分别进行了室内模型模拟和颗粒流模拟实验。在室内模型试验模拟中采用先进的数码成像跟踪设备在细观的尺度上对土样在管涌发生发展的全过程进行了观察和记录,为颗粒流细观模拟提供了必要的细观参数及宏观依据。提出的二维孔隙率与三维孔隙率转换的关系公式很好的将室内模型试验的孔隙率同颗粒流数值模拟结合,运用颗粒流程序采用固液耦合的分析模型对管涌现象作进一步的数值模拟分析。根据模拟结果,分析了管涌产生、发展在颗粒细观尺度的原因,对管涌产生发展中的试样细观变化规律及流速的变化规律进行了分析。这些结果为PFC2D在渗流和渗透破坏等方面的深入研究应用提供了一定的实用依据,同时也为在细观尺度上解释和分析管涌现象提供了一条新的途径。 相似文献

本文在现场工程地质条件及变形破坏特征勘察的基础上,对高句丽太王陵的稳定性进行了研究,并用三维有限差分程序FLAC3D对陵体在自重和渗流场藕合作用下的应力和变形规律进行了研究。研究表明:(1)太王陵出现的条石内倾、条石拉开等变形是由其本身的结构特点及其在自重作用下形成的;(2)持力层承载力不足,地基失稳是引起该国家重点文物破坏的主要原因;(3)陵坡滑移是由于本身安全储备较低,在地基失稳和地震等的共同作用下引发的。 相似文献
