标量场的动量与宇宙波函数

我们用有限维超空间模型分析了标量场的动量对宇宙波函数的影响。指出经典禁戒区的范围与动量值密切相关;在一定的条件下,在α～0附近区域内会出现经典允许区;波函数的行为与算符顺序因子p有关。使用Vilenkin边条件,我们得出α一定时波函数随标量场φ的分布几率不依赖φ,这与忽略标量场的动量时算出的分布几率不同,因此对于剧胀宇宙的初条件的推断也不同。最后,我们把所得的结果与经典剧胀理论进行了比较。  相似文献

Quantum tunneling makes a Reissner–Nordstrom black hole turn into a Kerr–Newman black hole under angular momentum conservation

Hawking radiation can be viewed as a process of particle quantum tunneling near a black hole horizon. When a particle with angular momentum tunnels across the event horizon of a Reissner–Nordstrom black hole, the black hole will change into a Kerr–Newman one. In previous papers, axisymmetric black hole has been studied only when a keeps constant. Changing from Reissner–Nordstrom to Kerr–Newman should be a simple case when a varies. After this, more general radiation including changed a in Kerr or Kerr–Newman spacetimes can be studied in the future. The emission rate of the massless particles with angular momentum is calculated, and the result is consistent with an underlying unitary theory.   相似文献   

Flexibility, technology, and the daily life practices of distance students living beyond the digital mainstream

In this paper it is argued that even though communication technologies release distance students considerably from their dependency on a campus, students are still very much connected to places in their daily lives. These connections are constituted through the “placing” of technology, the students’ relations to people in their daily lives and the students’ relations to the education institution. Communication technology not only releases students from the spatial dimensions; it also attaches them to specific places. It is argued that the use of technology in distance education can reduce the students’ flexibility even if they do not have to attend campus regularly. The empirical analysis presented in this paper is based on a case study of a Master’s degree programme in Public Management offered by Open University Indonesia (Universitas Terbuka).  相似文献

The unresolved controversy over nuclear power: A new approach from complexity theory

We explore the controversy over nuclear power by looking at the plurality of narratives that have emerged throughout its history. We find a lack of consistency between the visions of nuclear power put forward by governments and industry and the experience associated with economic viability, nuclear accidents, waste handling, and so on. We use the conceptual tool of holon from complexity theory to provide a link between the models used for the governance of nuclear power and the realization of those models. The analysis of the holon over time reveals a systemic inconsistency between the way in which the story about nuclear energy is told and the experience gained after implementing nuclear energy according to the story. This inconsistency is due to the incompatible levels of observation used by different social actors endorsing different perspectives. The implementation of nuclear power has been based on the engineering view, focusing on the functioning of the nuclear power plant considered in abstraction from the wider implications of the adoption of this technology on the environment, on the economy, and on society. We cross-check this narrative with the societal metabolism view in order to provide a long term perspective of the interdependencies between nuclear power and the complex socio-economic system in which it is embedded. We conclude that the controversy over nuclear power may be treated as a problem of contrasting beliefs and normative values in clear disjunction from experience. The analysis presented in this paper suggests that more attention should be given to the quality of the narratives used in policy making.  相似文献   

Multilingual crews on Norwegian fishing vessels: Implications for communication and safety on board

In the last few decades, use of foreign labor in the Norwegian fishing fleet has increased. As fishing is a high-risk occupation, this article investigates a prevalent question regarding how the increased share of foreigners affects communication and safety on Norwegian fishing vessels. The article shows that multilingual crews and varying language proficiencies are not perceived by the fisheries actors themselves as risk factors in terms of safety in everyday operations. Fishing experience, hybrid language and body language compensate for language challenges and contribute to fishers' feeling of safety.  相似文献
