Impulse turbine, working as a typical self-rectifying turbine, is recently utilized for the oscillating water column (OWC) wave energy converters, which can rotate in the same direction under the bi-directional air flows. A numerical model established in Fluent is validated by the corresponding experimental results. The flow fields, pressure distribution and dimensionless evaluating coefficients can be calculated and analyzed. Effects of the rotor solidity varying with the change of blade number are investigated and the suitable solidity value is recommended for different flow coefficients. 相似文献

Given a set of test criteria that determine a quality specification,the question often arises whether anyof the tests are redundant because of intercorrelations.Simple selection of tests on the basis of partialcorrelations with the other tests is rejected on the basis that the random error in the data may be causingspurious correlations.One method is to use cross-validation to define the systematic principal components and examine thecorrelation structure in this reduced space.It is shown that the presence of principal componentsdominated by individual tests(‘variable specific’PCs),which are indicated by cross-validation as beingnon-systematic,must be taken into account.Having defined the dimensionality,a variable reductionmethod based on Procrustes rotation selects subsets of tests that preserve the structure of the samples inmultivariate space.This is an attractive proposition in the context of maintaining a quality controlspecification.It is also shown that the variable reduction technique can be used to aid the identificationof the true dimensionality of the data space.This approach is applied to a number of routine tests carriedout on aviation turbine fuel. 相似文献

This paper investigates by numerical simulation the influence of the Wells turbine aerodynamic design on the overall plant performance, as affected by the turbine peak efficiency and the range of flow rates within which the turbine can operate efficiently. The problem of matching the turbine to an oscillating water column (OWC) is illustrated by taking the wave climate and the OWC of the Azores power converter. The study was performed using a time-domain mathematical model based on linear water wave theory and on model experiments in a wave tank. Results are presented of numerical simulations considering several aerodynamic designs of the Wells turbine, with and without guide vanes, and with the use of a bypass pressure-relief valve. 相似文献

Although a lot can be learnt from technology transfer from wind turbines and ship propellers, there have been a few experiments investigating marine current turbines. As a result, a study has been carried out on the power, thrust and cavitation characteristics of 1/20th scale model of a possible 16 m diameter horizontal axis tidal turbine. Cavitation tunnel experiments for different blade pitch settings have been compared with simulations based on a developed blade element-momentum theory. This theory has been shown to provide a satisfactory representation of the experimental turbine performance characteristics. As an example application, the developed theory has been used to design possible horizontal axis tidal turbines for the tidal flows around Portland Bill. The results show that there is a clear balance between design loads and optimisation of energy yields. 相似文献

江苏近海属南黄海海域,是我国海上风电场最集中的地区,目前约占全国总装机容量的70%~75%,该区覆盖层厚度大,桩长深度范围(一般40~60m)多为粉砂、粉土、粉质黏土地层,尤其是泥面以下20m深度为易液化粉砂-粉土地层。而南黄海地区亦是我国的地震多发区,因此,研究了该区海上风电场水平场地的地震液化特性。首先基于南黄海某海上风电场50个机位的钻探资料统计特征建立了地层概化模型;随后通过动三轴试验和共振柱试验标定了土体动力分析参数;然后反演了3条地震波(EL-Centro波、Northridge波、Kobe波),将地表附近地震动峰值加速度PGA分别调整为0.05g、0.10g、0.20g、0.40g并进行场地液化分析,重点分析了地震作用下地层的超孔压比、总沉降、分层沉降等特性。研究发现,该区地层为可液化地层。当PGA=0.05g时,各层监测点的超孔压比均小于1.0,地层总沉降为1 cm左右;当PGA为0.10g和0.20g时,仅表层(12 m内)地层完全液化,地层总沉降分别为10 cm和17 cm;PGA=0.40g输入时,泥面下20 m地层均完全液化,地层总沉降为30 cm左右。不同地震... 相似文献

为了探讨海上风电工程基础与结构体系的抗震性能,采用ANSYS程序建立了三种基础型式的风电塔架结构数值模型,先采用振型分解反应谱法计算了结构的地震响应,进而分别将传统地震动和最不利地震动作为输入地震动,分析了三种基础结构体系的最大地震响应。结果显示:风电结构属典型的长周期结构,基础型式对结构的振动周期影响明显,单立柱桩式结构振动周期最长,八桩承台结构振动周期最短。地震作用下,单立柱桩结构的顶端位移响应也最大;振型反应谱法与传统地震动作用下结构的响应满足现行建筑抗震规范的要求,但最不利地震作用下结构的位移响应偏大,不满足规范对位移的相关规定;组合三桩结构底部基础与结构连接处是应力集中区。海上风电工程结构抗震设计的重要性应引起充分重视。 相似文献
