The Effect of Internal Fluid on the Response of Vortex-Induced Vibration of Marine Risers 总被引:5,自引:1,他引:5
Based on Iwan‘s wake oseillator model developed with the classical van der Pol equalion, the differential equation for the response of the vortex-induced vihration (VIV) of the riser considering the effect of the internal flowing fluid and the external marine environmental condition is derived. The effect of the intermal flowing fluid on the response of VIV of the riser is studied by means of the Finite Element Method. The results show that the effect of the internal fluid velocity on the VIV of the riser is strong when the natural frequency of the riser is close to the vortex shedding frequency. In addition, the increase of the top tension can decrease the sensitivity of the riser to the internal fluid velocity. 相似文献

The application of very large floating structure (VLFS) to the utilization of ocean space and exploitation of ocean resources has become one of the issues of great interest in international ocean engineering field. Owing to the advantage of simplicity in structure and low cost of construction and maintenance, box-type VLFS can be used in the calm water area near the coast as the structure configuration of floating airport. In this paper, a 3D linear hydroelastic theory is used to study the dynamic response of box-type VLFS in sinusoidal regular waves. A beam model and a 3D FEM model are respectively employed to describe the dynamic characteristics of the box-type structure in vacuum. A hydrodynamic model (3D potential theory of flexible body) is applied to investigate the effect of different dry models on the hydroelastic response of box-type structure. - The dynamic response behaviors of upright breakwaters under broken wave impact are analysed based on the mass-damper-spring dynamic system model. The effects of the mass, damping, stiffness, natural period, and impulse duration (or oscillation period) on the translation, rotation, sliding force, overturning moment, and corresponding dynamic amplifying factors are studied. The steady response of the ventilated thermocline to an increase in Ekman pumping is investigated, focusing on the effect
of the mixed layer depth distribution on the subsurface density anomaly. We consider only the subtropical gyre, and the mixed
layer is assumed to be deep in the northwest and shallow elsewhere with a narrow transition zone separating the deep and shallow
mixed layer regions. At the intersection of this narrow transition zone and the outcrop line, low potential vorticity fluid
is subducted into and ventilates the thermocline. In such a situation, an enhancement of the Ekman pumping confined to the
northern subtropical gyre leads to pronounced subsurface cold anomalies in the southern subtropics, which is free of anomalous
forcing. These density anomalies are much greater than those that occur when either the mixed layer depth is zonally uniform
or the Ekman pumping is enhanced in the whole subtropical gyre. They are caused by anomalous changes in the trajectory of
the low potential vorticity fluid in response to anomalous Sverdrup flow.
