The solution of a set of linear equations is central to Ordinary Kriging. Computers are commonly applied because of the amount of data and work involved. There has, until recently, been little attention devoted toward the conditioning of kriging matrices. This article considers implications of conditioning upon numerical stability, instead of on robustness which has been the main focus of past work. The effect of properties of the stationary covariance matrix on the conditioning of the kriging matrix is discussed. The relationship between the covariance and autocorrelation functions allows some conclusions about the conditioning of covariance matrices, based on past work in deconvolution. The conditioning of some coefficient matrices of stationary kriging, defined in terms of either the semivariogram or the covariance, is examined. 相似文献

The anomalies which are shown on the gravity and aeromagnetic data of the Chalkidhiki peninsula of Northern Greece reveal
the presence of three concealed dense and magnetized bodies. The ophiolitic belt which continues northwards of the geophysical
anomalies suggests that they are caused by structures which belong to it.
Multiple source Werner deconvolution shows that the lower surfaces of buried bodies in Toroneos Gulf and the one onshore are
concave upwards.
The northern concealed body has a width of 16 kilometers, while the southern one is 8 kilometres in width. A three-dimensional
model, well constrained, gives an estimate of the dimensions of the onshore feature.
The edges of the bodies, delineated by the terracing method, are formed by faults along the trend of the Hellenides orogenic
belt. The edges of the body in the outer part of Toroneos Gulf may be associated with seismic swarms that occurred in the

千岛岛弧地区属于全球地震活动最为活跃的地区之一. 本文利用哈佛大学测定的千岛岛弧地区地震的矩心矩张量(CMT)解, 分析该地区震源机制的一致性特征, 提出利用震源机制和构造应力场的一致性参数a进行地震预测的思路. 研究结果表明,MWge;7.5地震之前, 都有一致性参数a降低的现象,a的低值起始的时间在发生大震之前的10多天至110多天, a的低值截止的日期距大震在30多天至2天. 相互之间虽然并不完全一致, 但是差别不大. 这种现象的稳定性, 尚需时间的检验, 但是设想在长达数百公里的地区, 连续发生MWge;5.3的地震的震源机制都与构造应力场一致, 应当不是随机的现象, 而是一种具有预测意义的现象. 当积累的震例足够多时, 则有可能确定统一的评判标准和预测准则. 相似文献

In this paper, we present a new approach to estimate high-resolution teleseismic receiver functions using a simultaneous iterative time-domain sparse deconvolution. This technique improves the deconvolution by using reweighting strategies based on a Cauchy criterion. The resulting sparse receiver functions enhance the primary converted phases and its multiples. To test its functionality and reliability, we applied this approach to synthetic experiments and to seismic data recorded at station ABU, in Japan. Our results show Ps conversions at approximately 4.0 s after the primary P onset, which are consistent with other seismological studies in this area. We demonstrate that the sparse deconvolution is a simple, efficient technique in computing receiver functions with significantly greater resolution than conventional approaches. 相似文献

Historically, large and potentially hazardous earthquakes have occurred within the interior of Alaska. However, most have not been adequately studied using modern methods of waveform modeling. The 22 July 1937, 16 October 1947, and 7 April 1958 earthquakes are three of the largest events known to have occurred within central Alaska (M
s
=7.3,M
s
=7.2 andM
s
=7.3, respectively). We analyzed teleseismic body waves to gain information about the focal parameters of these events. In order to deconvolve the source time functions from teleseismic records, we first attempted to improve upon the published focal mechanisms for each event. Synthetic seismograms were computed for different source parameters, using the reflectivity method. A search was completed which compared the hand-digitized data with a suite of synthetic traces covering the complete parameter space of strike, dip, and slip direction. In this way, the focal mechanism showing the maximum correlation between the observed and calculated traces was found. Source time functions, i.e., the moment release as a function of time, were then deconvolved from teleseismic records for the three historical earthquakes, using the focal mechanisms which best fit the data. From these deconvolutions, we also recovered the depth of the events and their seismic moments. The earthquakes were all found to have a shallow foci, with depths of less than 10 km.The 1937 earthquake occurred within a northeast-southwest band of seismicity termed the Salcha seismic zone (SSZ). We confirm the previously published focal mechanism, indicating strike-slip faulting, with one focal plane parallel to the SSZ which was interpreted as the fault plane. Assuming a unilateral fault model and a reasonable rupture velocity of between 2 and 3 km/s, the 21 second rupture duration for this event indicates that all of the 65 km long SSZ may have ruptured during this event. The 1947 event, located to the south of the northwest-southeast trending Fairbanks seismic zone, was found to have a duration of about 11 seconds, thus indicating a rupture length of up to 30 km. The rupture duration of the 1958 earthquake, which occurred near the town of Huslia, approximately 400 km ENE of Fairbanks, was found to be about 9 seconds. This gives a rupture length consistent with the observed damage, an area of 16 km by 64 km. 相似文献

着重探讨了放射性测井曲线中自然伽马测井曲线、补偿中子测井曲线和补偿密度测井曲线的高分辨率处理方法及其应用效果。对于自然伽马及自然伽马能谱测井曲线,采用反褶积技术和有效的噪音压制技术;对于补偿中子测井曲线和补偿密度测井曲线采用了改进的α因子法。可以发现:高分辨率处理技术可明显地改善有关曲线的纵向分层能力;处理后的曲线与岩心柱状图及与微球、微电极等高分辨率曲线进行对比,其相关性有很大的改善;应用高分辨率处理后的曲线求薄层的泥质含量等参数,其相对误差明显下降。 相似文献
