A new hybrid ductile‐rocking seismic‐resistant design is proposed which consists of a code‐designed buckling‐restrained braced frame (BRBF) that yields along its height and also partially rocks on its foundation. The goal of this system is to cost‐effectively improve the performance of BRBFs, by reducing drift concentrations and residual deformations, while taking advantage of their large ductility and their reliable limit on seismic forces and accelerations along a building's height. A lock‐up device ensures that the full code‐compliant lateral strength can be achieved after a limited amount of column uplift, and supplemental energy dissipation elements are used to reduce the rocking response. This paper outlines the mechanics of the system and then presents analyses on rocking frames with both ductile and elastic braces in order to highlight the large higher mode demands on elastic rocking frames. A parametric study using nonlinear time‐history analysis of BRBF structures designed according to the proposed procedure for Los Angeles, California is then presented. This study investigates the system's seismic response and the effect of different energy dissipation element properties and allowable base rotation values before the lock‐up is engaged. Finally, the effect of vertical mass modeling on analysis results was investigated. These studies demonstrated that the hybrid ductile‐rocking system can in fact improve the global peak and residual deformation response as well as reduce brace damage. This enhanced performance could eliminate the need for expensive repairs or demolition that are otherwise to be expected for conventional ductile fixed base buildings that sustain severe damage. 相似文献

Lead rubber bearings, which have been extensively applied in many seismic isolation designs for buildings, infrastructures, and facilities worldwide, were tested under unilateral reversal loading as well as nonproportional plane loading including circular, figure-eight, and square orbits in this study. The test results indicate that unlike the unilateral hysteretic behavior, the bilateral one of lead rubber bearings is too complicated to be characterized adequately by a simplified bilinear hysteretic model. It is mainly attributed to the bilateral coupling effect, which can be clearly observed from the abnormal deformation of the mesh pattern drawn on the rubber cover during the tests. In addition, after being subjected to nonproportional plane loading, the tested bearings reveal visible permanent twisting deformation. The profiles of the cut bearings present the fracture of the inside lead plugs. Even so, the further unilateral reversal loading test results prove that the fracture might not affect the whole hysteretic behavior and mechanical properties very much. The applicability, robustness, and generalization of adopting three previously developed analytical models for describing the coupled bilateral hysteretic behavior of lead rubber bearings are further demonstrated by comparing their predictions with the nonproportional plane loading test results. Although the coefficients are identified from unilateral reversal loading tests, the three analytical models can still have an acceptable prediction capability. 相似文献

Most past researches relevant to viscoelastic (VE) dampers, regardless of analytical and experimental ones, aimed at their design (or pre-damage) performance. In reality, however, under maximum considered or greater shaking caused by earthquakes, the shear deformation of the VE dampers installed in a structure may exceed or is even much larger than their nominal design range, thus leading to damage to the VE material. Under this circumstance, the structural design might become not conservative when the viscoelastically damped structure is a retrofit design or is not a supplemental damping design. Therefore, in this study, the beyond design and residual performances of the full-scale VE dampers after suffering damage are experimentally probed and compared with their design (or pre-damage) performance tested before. To have more engineering sense in practice, some suitable and conservative empirical post-damage models through considering reduction factors in the Kelvin-Voigt model for assessing the beyond design and residual performances of the full-scale VE dampers after suffering damage are recommended. 相似文献

Structures undergoing inelastic displacements during earthquake ground motions are known to sustain some amount of residual displacements, which may make those unusable or unsafe. In this study an attempt is made to estimate residual displacements for elastic-perfectly-plastic single-degree-of-freedom oscillators with a given ductility ratio. Such oscillators belong to the class of bilinear hysteresis models applicable to steel structures, with post-yield-stiffness ratio taken as zero, and may be used for the conservative estimates of residual displacements when the post-yield-stiffness ratio is unlikely to become negative. Statistical estimation of residual displacement spectrum via normalization with respect to inelastic or elastic spectral displacements is considered and expressions are proposed for both types of normalizations. The statistical dependence of residual displacement on the seismological and site parameters and strong motion duration is also studied and a simple scaling model is proposed in terms of earthquake magnitude, epicentral distance, and geologic site condition parameter for the seismic region of western U.S.A. According to this model, the variation of residual displacement with period primarily depends on the site conditions, and the residual displacements are more sensitive to ductility ratio at low ductility ratios. 相似文献

为研究不同加固方式对钢筋混凝土(RC)圆截面桥墩抗震性能的影响,利用OpenSees有限元软件建立了普通RC桥墩以及分别采用钢套管、碳纤维增强聚合物(CFRP)、体外预应力筋进行加固的桥墩数值分析模型,对模型输入远断层地震动,进行增量动力分析。以墩顶峰值位移角与震后残余位移角为指标,对比分析了桥墩加固前后的地震响应。结果表明:采用钢套管、体外预应力筋和CFRP加固后,RC桥墩的峰值位移与震后残余位移均减小,钢套管加固方式对桥墩峰值位移的降低幅度最大,体外预应力筋加固方式对抑制桥墩震后残余位移的效果最好;随着剪跨比的增大,3种加固方式对桥墩在地震动作用下位移响应的抑制作用均逐步减小;随着轴压比的增大,3种加固方式对RC桥墩峰值位移的抑制作用逐步降低。 相似文献

强烈的燕山期造山运动使下扬子独立地块海相原型盆地和前陆盆地被改造成冲断、剥蚀严重的燕山高原,晚燕山期—喜马拉雅期太平洋板块斜向俯冲形成张裂断陷盆地叠置,最终使其成为具有由前白垩系挤压冲断体系和上白垩统—新近系伸展断-坳陷体系组成双层结构的改造型残留叠合盆地。这既造成下扬子海相古生-中生界油气地质高复杂性,又造就了残存于晚期上白垩统—新近系断-坳陷盆地下伏的海相烃源岩“二次生烃”和晚期成藏优势。各个古近纪伸展断陷往往是独立的海相烃源含油气保存单元,古近-新近系区域盖层共同构筑的沉积重建型整体封闭保存体系和具晚期混源特色的海相有效烃源是海相含油气保存单元晚期成藏的基础,时空匹配的有效成藏组合是晚期成藏的必要条件。南黄海、苏北盆地是下扬子区沉积重建型整体封闭体系最好的构造单元,也是海相烃源晚期成藏的主要场所,印支和燕山运动不整合面上下、浦口组、泰州组和阜宁组一段是海相烃源古生中储或古生新储晚期成藏的主要层位,盐城、阜宁、海安、高邮、溱潼和黄桥—如皋断陷保存单位是首选勘探靶区。 相似文献

为了解决U-Net模型应用于云检测时对碎云和薄云存在漏检的问题,本文提出了一种改进的U-Net网络模型,并应用于FY-4A数据进行云检测。首先,利用国家气象卫星中心提供的云检测产品生成二分类云标签;其次,将U-Net模型的编码器与残差模块相结合,使得网络参数共享,并避免深层网络的退化问题;最后,在解码器中融入密集连接模块,将浅层特征与深层特征进行连接,便于获取新的特征,并提高特征使用率。试验结果表明,模型在测试集上的IOU值和Dice系数分别为91.5%和95.2%,可以很好地检测出薄云及大量碎云,效果明显优于U-Net模型。 相似文献

AbstractThe study of the unsaturated soils is a very complex field to which several researches in laboratory and on site are directed these last years. An experimental study aims to quantify the influence of the Skempton coefficient B characterizing the degree of saturation on the behavior of the granular sand to the liquefaction resistance of sand. The study is based on undrained triaxial tests performed on natural Chlef sand carried out at an initial relative density Dr = 50% under a confining pressure of 50, 100 and 200?kPa for Skempton coefficient B?=?10 to 92%. The results of the tests show that an increase of confining pressure leads to an increase of the shear stress of the samples. For the lower value of the degree of saturation results of our findings indicate an increase of the resistance to liquefaction; our results are in good agreement with others observed in several research projects conducted with other sands. The increase of Skempton coefficient B induces an increase of pore water pressure and a decrease of the shear strength. The pore pressure (u) increases with an exponential manner with the increase of the degree of saturation; while the residual shear strength (Rs) decreases with logarithmic manner with the increase of degree of saturation (B). 相似文献
