This paper is part of a special issue of Applied Geochemistry focusing on reliable applications of compositional multivariate statistical methods. This study outlines the application of compositional data analysis (CoDa) to calibration of geochemical data and multivariate statistical modelling of geochemistry and grain-size data from a set of Holocene sedimentary cores from the Ganges-Brahmaputra (G-B) delta. Over the last two decades, understanding near-continuous records of sedimentary sequences has required the use of core-scanning X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry, for both terrestrial and marine sedimentary sequences. Initial XRF data are generally unusable in ‘raw-format’, requiring data processing in order to remove instrument bias, as well as informed sequence interpretation. The applicability of these conventional calibration equations to core-scanning XRF data are further limited by the constraints posed by unknown measurement geometry and specimen homogeneity, as well as matrix effects. Log-ratio based calibration schemes have been developed and applied to clastic sedimentary sequences focusing mainly on energy dispersive-XRF (ED-XRF) core-scanning. This study has applied high resolution core-scanning XRF to Holocene sedimentary sequences from the tidal-dominated Indian Sundarbans, (Ganges-Brahmaputra delta plain). The Log-Ratio Calibration Equation (LRCE) was applied to a sub-set of core-scan and conventional ED-XRF data to quantify elemental composition. This provides a robust calibration scheme using reduced major axis regression of log-ratio transformed geochemical data. Through partial least squares (PLS) modelling of geochemical and grain-size data, it is possible to derive robust proxy information for the Sundarbans depositional environment. The application of these techniques to Holocene sedimentary data offers an improved methodological framework for unravelling Holocene sedimentation patterns.  相似文献

为了实现普通数码相机应用于摄影测量任务前的检验,提出了一种简易室内数码相机检校场的建立方法和流程。首先进行检校场地的建立,包括场地的选择、标志点的制作及其坐标的量测,然后对检校场的可靠性进行了验证。结果表明所建立的简易室内数码相机检校场能够满足普通数码相机应用于近景摄影测量的检校要求。并且,检校场建立简易,费用较传统数码相机检校场大大降低,是对传统大型室内数码相机检校场的改进。  相似文献

A novel methodology for simultaneous discharge and channel roughness estimation is developed and applied to data sets available at three experimental sites. The methodology is based on the synchronous measurement of water level data in two river sections far some kilometers from each other, as well as on the use of a diffusive flow routing solver and does not require any direct velocity measurement. The methodology is first analyzed for the simplest case of a channel with a large slope, where the kinematic assumption holds. A sensitivity and a model error analysis are carried out in this hypothesis in order to show the stability of the results with respect to the error in the input parameters in the case of homogeneous roughness and to analyze the effect of unknown roughness heterogeneity on the estimated discharges. The methodology is then extended to the more general case of channels with mild slope and validated using field data previously collected in three Italian rivers: the Arno (in Tuscany), the Tiber (in Latium) and the Vallo di Diana, a small tributary of the Tanagro river (in Southern Italy). The performance of the proposed algorithm has been investigated according to three performance criteria estimating the quality of the match between the measured and the computed stage and discharge hydrographs. Results of the field tests can be considered good, despite the uncertainties of the field data and of the measured values.  相似文献

Automatic calibration of complex subsurface reaction models involves numerous difficulties, including the existence of multiple plausible models, parameter non-uniqueness, and excessive computational burden. To overcome these difficulties, this study investigated a novel procedure for performing simultaneous calibration of multiple models (SCMM). By combining a hybrid global-plus-polishing search heuristic with a biased-but-random adaptive model evaluation step, the new SCMM method calibrates multiple models via efficient exploration of the multi-model calibration space. Central algorithm components are an adaptive assignment of model preference weights, mapping functions relating the uncertain parameters of the alternative models, and a shuffling step that efficiently exploits pseudo-optimal configurations of the alternative models. The SCMM approach was applied to two nitrate contamination problems involving batch reactions and one-dimensional reactive transport. For the chosen problems, the new method produced improved model fits (i.e. up to 35% reduction in objective function) at significantly reduced computational expense (i.e. 40–90% reduction in model evaluations), relative to previously established benchmarks. Although the method was effective for the test cases, SCMM relies on a relatively ad-hoc approach to assigning intermediate preference weights and parameter mapping functions. Despite these limitations, the results of the numerical experiments are empirically promising and the reasoning and structure of the approach provide a strong foundation for further development.  相似文献

新疆数字地震台网地方性震级量规函数的初步研究   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1  
基于2009~2014年新疆测震台网数字地震记录资料,运用震级残差统计方法,选择16269个2.0≤ML≤5.4地震事件,共计获得了179561个单台记录;利用最大地动位移衰减特性方法,选用3.6≤ML≤4.5的746个地震事件作为研究对象,对新疆数字台网地方性震级量规函数进行了研究。将得出的量规函数值进行对比后认为,现阶段使用的量规函数值在0~200km的震中距范围内偏小,导致此范围内台站测定的震级偏小;在200~800km的范围内,测算的震级值较稳定,偏差范围在±0.1的范围内;在400~800km震中距范围内,由最大地动位移衰减特性方法得出的量规函数偏小。由于目前各地震台站使用的地震计仪器响应不准确,造成量规函数偏小的原因有待用计量更加准确的台站仪器响应参数进行验证,以便得到更加精确的新疆台网地方性震级量规函数。  相似文献

利用2010年以来河北省测震台网记录到的654个M_L≥2.5地震波形数据,使用Moya方法联合反演计算震源谱及各台站场地响应。河北省测震台网实时接收168个台站数据,最终反演得到151个测震台站场地响应结果。结果显示,频率1~20Hz内各台站均存在不同程度的场地放大效应,随着频率的变化,各类基岩台的场地响应变化较为复杂。位于第四系沉积类的台站场地响应在低频段1~8Hz内放大效应显著,在高频段8~20Hz内呈现快速衰减趋势。选取2017年以来河北省测震台网记录的M_L≥2.0地震数据,对各台站单台震级与台网平均震级进行对比统计、分析,最终得出代表河北地区的地方性震级M_L新量规函数。针对2020年7月12日河北唐山5.1级地震,利用本文得到的台站场地响应结果对震级偏大且有放大作用的台站进行放大作用消除,再分别用现用地方性震级M_L量规函数和河北地区地方性震级M_L新量规函数对单台震级进行重新计算,结果显示震级偏差均有所减小。  相似文献

基于2009~2018年江苏及相邻数字地震台网记录的2602次地震事件观测资料,通过震级残差统计方法得到了72个台站的单台震级与台网平均震级的偏差、平均偏差和标准偏差,分析了震级偏差频次分布和定量统计结果,进而修正了江苏及邻区的地方性震级量规函数。实际地方性震级测定结果表明,使用校正后的量规函数比新震级国家标准(GB17740—2017)中量规函数所测定的震级的标准差更小,且单台震级残差相对更集中于0,这说明该量规函数有助于提高江苏及邻区地方性震级测定精度。  相似文献

重力基点网是我国开展地质调查、地震监测、测绘等测量工作的重要基础设施,面对原有基点网覆盖面不足且受到不同程度损害这一现状,目前已不能满足开展大比例尺重力调查以及高频率重复监测等工作的需求.本文以广西重力基点网重建为契机,利用A10-022绝对重力仪对全区42个重力基点与2个相对重力仪标定场的绝对重力值进行了测定.整个实施周期涵盖了计量参数校准、全球绝对重力仪国际比对、室内同点重复性以及全网部分基点独立安装检查等较为完整的测量流程,并通过连续运输与观测期间环境因素的记录与对比分析,总结了适合于该类型仪器室外条件下工作的技术手段与应对措施.观测结果表明:利用A10绝对重力仪能够高效率与高精度的完成广西重力基点网室外设计点位测定工作,国际比对及重复性验证确保了本次重建基点结果的可信度;A10采用双模式的氦氖激光频率存在漂移并受温度及气压等多种因素的综合影响,但短期内中心频率未出现较大波动,建议定期对其进行校准;各基点观测误差主要受到台站质量、人文活动及突发事件等环境扰动的影响,并与仪器内外温差存在较高的相关性.本文给出的A10绝对重力仪的参数设计、技术手段与影响因素的详细分析,能够为今后同类型仪器的观测实施提供重要参考,并有助于室外绝对重力观测的全国推广与应用.  相似文献

 Arcsecond-level accuracy of NASA's ICESat (Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite) satellite laser altimeter beam pointing angle is required to satisfy the scientific goal of detecting centimeter-level elevation changes, over time, in the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. Two different approaches, termed “topographic inferred” and “direct detection”, were examined for calibrating the laser pointing angle (that is, detecting and removing pointing determination bias) at the 1.5-arcsec level, using information independent of the onboard pointing instrumentation. Both approaches entail estimating the beam pointing by differencing the three-dimensional position of the altimeter instrument and the laser-beam spot (or “footprint”) location on the ground. Analytical assessments of the two approaches are discussed, along with recommendations for the ICESat pointing determination calibration strategy.
