Thin and relatively thin anelastic layers (compared to the signal wavelength) generally represent hydrocarbon reservoirs, where the rock is a sandstone or a source rock saturated with brine, oil and gas. The study of the seismic response of these layers is important to detect the hydrocarbons on the basis of the reflection and transmission coefficients and the wave velocity and attenuation properties. Different seismic experiments (source-receiver configurations) can provide useful information to characterise its properties. In this work, we consider varying thicknesses and Q values of the layer and analyse the reflection and transmission coefficients. Moreover, we obtain spectrograms of surface seismic profiles and vertical and horizontal well profiles (VSP and HSP, respectively) to analyse their frequency content with offset due to variations of the attenuation properties of the layer. In addition, we compare the effects due to NMO stretching and intrinsic attenuation related to the low-frequency shadows (LFS) observed in real data after stacking, since LFS can have several causes. Ambiguity is present in this case, indicating that non-stretch NMO is required, otherwise an offset mute of the data may remove useful information regarding the intrinsic (physical) loss.  相似文献

Gazeteers and geographical thesauri can be regarded as parsimonious spatial models that associate geographical location with place names and encode some semantic relations between the names. They are of particular value in processing information retrieval requests in which the user employs place names to specify geographical context. Typically the geometric locational data in a gazetteer are confined to a simple footprint in the form of a centroid or a minimum bounding rectangle, both of which can be used to link to a map but are of limited value in determining spatial relationships. Here we describe a Voronoi diagram method for generating approximate regional extents from sets of centroids that are respectively inside and external to a region. The resulting approximations provide measures of areal extent and can be used to assist in answering geographical queries by evaluating spatial relationships such as distance, direction and common boundary length. Preliminary experimental evaluations of the method have been performed in the context of a semantic modelling system that combines the centroid data with hierarchical and adjacency relations between the associated place names.  相似文献

Self-potential is a passive geophysical method that can be applied in a straightforward manner with minimum requirements in the field. Nonetheless, interpretation of self-potential data is particularly challenging due to the inherited non-uniqueness present in all potential methods. Incorporating information regarding the target of interest can facilitate interpretation and increase the reliability of the final output. In the current paper, a novel method for detecting multiple sheet-like targets is presented. A numerical framework is initially described that simulates sheet-like bodies in an arbitrary 2D resistivity distribution. A scattered field formulation based on finite differences is employed that allows the edges of the sheet to be independent of the grid geometry. A novel analytical solution for two-layered models is derived and subsequently used to validate the accuracy of the proposed numerical scheme. Lastly, a hybrid optimization is proposed that couples linear least-squares with particle-swarm optimization in order to effectively locate the edges of multiple sheet-like bodies. Through numerical and real data, it is proven that the hybrid optimization overcomes local minimal that occurs in complex resistivity distributions and converges substantially faster compared to traditional particle-swarm optimization.  相似文献
