Preface I am pleased to contribute an article to GSIS to com-memorate the great achievements of Prof.Dr.Gottfried Konecny on the occasion of the celebration of his 90th birthday. I was lucky to work closely with Gottfried as an ISPRS Council member for the first time in 1984 in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil,when I was elected as Congress Director of the Kyoto ISPRS Congress to be held in 1988.Gottfried was elected as ISPRS President for 1984~1988.At the first Council meeting under the President Gottfried,he said to all Council members"as we are like a family,I request that we address each other by our first names".If he had not said this,I might have called him Professor Konecny,according to Japanese custom.  相似文献

In and around the beds of vesicomyid clam (Calytogena soyoae) located off Hatsushima Island in Sagami Bay, central Japan, hydrogen sulfide concentration in bottom water and interstitial water was measured every 10 cm from just above seafloor to 40 cm deep usingin situ separative dialysis bags. While hydrogen sulfide over 0.01 mmol/kg was not measured from the seawater just above the dense clam beds, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide increased rapidly below 10 cm deep. The results indicate that the habit of the clam is correlated with high concentration of hydrogen sulfide contained in pore waters of sediments between depths of 10 and 20 cm from the bottom surface. Concentrations of hydrogen sulfide ranging from approximately 0.05 mmol/kg to 0.6 mmol/kg might be suitable requirement for the habitat ofC. soyoae.  相似文献

The M=7.2 southern Hyogo prefecture earthquake, which occurred on January 17, 1995, destroyed the region severely. Further researches are necessary to explain the problems obtained from this earthquake. We have discussed some characteristics correlating with this earthquake, such as distribution of aftershocks and disaster, relationship between fault and generation of inland shallow earthquakes, strong motion and so on. The tectonic movements of surface faults may be different from those of deep faults. Earthquakes may not be restricted directly by the tectonic movements of surface faults. The strong motion zone is often appeared in the region a little away from the both ends or from the single side of a fault instead of the region of a focal fault. Some mechanisms of strong motion have also been discussed.  相似文献

An ASCA observation of the Jovian impact of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 is reported. Four impacts of H, L, Q1 and R were observed and four impacts of B, C, G, and Q2 were observed within 60 minutes after their impacts. No significant flaring of X-ray emission was observed. Upper limit X-ray fluxes of 90 % confidence level, averaged 5 minutes just after the impacts, were 2.4 × 10–13 erg sec–1 cm–2, 3.5 × 10–13 erg sec–1 cm–2, 1.6 × 10–13 erg sec–1 cm–2 and 2.9 × 10–13 erg sec–1 cm–2 for the impacts of H, L, Q1 and R, respectively, in the 0.5(0.7 for H and Q1)–10 keV energy range. However, a hint of X-ray enhancement around Jupiter from July 17 to July 19 was detected with about 2 6 × 10–14 erg sec–1 cm–2 in the 0.5–10 keV energy range.  相似文献

Four runs of experimental landform development, with the same uplift rate, different rainfall intensity, and the same material of different permeability adjusted by the degree of compaction, showed complicated effects of rainfall and mound-forming material. In the run with more rainfall on less permeable material, low separated ridges developed in the uplifted area, because abundant overland flow promoted valley erosion and slope processes from early stages. In the run with less rainfall on less permeable material, valley incision proceeded mostly in major valleys where surface water converges. Canyons developed during early stages and later a high massive mountain emerged. The effect of rainfall difference, however, appeared completely opposite on more permeable material accompanied by lower shear strength. In the run with more rainfall on more permeable material, a massive mountain similar to that with less rainfall on less permeable material appeared, and low separated ridges appeared in the run with less rainfall on more permeable material as in the run with more rainfall on less permeable material. In the former case, similar amount of water available for Hortonian overland flow in early stages estimated from rainfall rate and permeability can explain the development of similar landforms. In the latter case, while abundant surface water with more rainfall on less permeable material made fluvial erosion active from early stages, the deficiency in surface water with less rainfall on more permeable material apparently attenuated fluvial erosion but possibly accentuated slope processes and slope failures by seepage water flow through more permeable material of low shear strength. The active erosion from early stages apparently resulted in the development of enduring similar low landforms later in the dynamic equilibrium stage. These experimental results indicate that similar landforms can emerge from different environmental and lithologic controls, and that process does not necessarily follow from form.  相似文献

Remote sensing activities in Japan are reviewed under three sectors; the government, private and universities. International activities are also reviewed.

The largest governmental activity is the launch of earth observation satellite by National Space Development Agency (NASDA). Apart from that, remote sensing technology is utilized in many government research institutes.

The first level activities in private companies are research, design and development of rockets, spacecrafts, sensors and receiving stations which are carried out by five big electronic companies. Aerial survey companies and oil exploration companies are presently utilizing technology of remote sensing.

University professors are bearing the responsibility for research and education as well as advising the government and private companies.  相似文献

利用三江源地区14个站1961-2005年逐月降水资料,对全区近45年夏季降水异常的时空特征及与大气环流异常的关系进行了分析.结果表明,近45年来,三江源地区的夏季降水量具有良好的空间一致性,总体呈微弱的减少趋势,减少幅度为9mm/45a;三江源地区经历了5个干、湿交替的阶段,存在较明显的准2年、准4~6年的振荡周期,自1980年代中期后12~14年左右的周期信号较强;1968、1979及1986年是3个明显的气候突变点,小波分析结果与降水序列大-小-大-小-大的变化趋势及突变检验存在良好的对应关系.环流分析表明,三江源地区夏季旱、涝年份的大气环流配置形势在高度距平场、风场和温度场均呈反向变化,可作为强信号,对三江源夏季降水的异常预测起指示作用.  相似文献

2005年南京市PM_(10)浓度时间序列分析   总被引:6,自引:2,他引:4  
根据南京市2005年的PM10日均浓度和气象观测资料,利用Maflab小波分析工具,对PM10浓度的年时间序列进行分析,得出了该地区PM10日均浓度的变化规律:2—5月较大,6-9月较小,10—12月较大;并且全年共有5个突变点。结合HYSPLIT4污染扩散模式,对污染源进行追踪,结果表明:造成南京市大气污染主要有局地污染物的排放和外来污染物的输送两种类型;在垂直方向上,污染物的长距离输送一直稳定在低层。  相似文献
