In this paper, complete geometric symmetry of extended quantum Zakharov–Kuznetsov (QZK) equation are investigated. All of the geometric vector fields for the new extended QZK equation are presented. At the same time, a plethora of exact solutions are obtained by the application of the group theorem. In addition, 1-soliton solution of the extended QZK equation with power law nonlinearity is obtained by the aid of traveling wave hypothesis with the necessary constraints in place for the existence of the soliton.  相似文献

Having recognized that it is the tropospheric temperature (TT) gradient rather than the land–ocean surface temperature gradient that drives the Indian monsoon, a new mechanism of El Niño/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) monsoon teleconnection has been unveiled in which the ENSO influences the Indian monsoon by modifying the TT gradient over the region. Here we show that equatorial Pacific coralline oxygen isotopes reflect TT gradient variability over the Indian monsoon region and are strongly correlated to monsoon precipitation as well as to the length of the rainy season. Using these relationships we have been able to reconstruct past Indian monsoon rainfall variability of the first half of the 20th century in agreement with the instrumental record. Additionally, an older coral oxygen isotope record has been used to reconstruct seasonally resolved summer monsoon rainfall variability of the latter half of the 17th century, indicating that the average annual rainfall during this period was similar to that during the 20th century. There are various factors governing the spatial and temporal variability of soil water storage including soil properties, topography and vegetation. Some factors act locally, whereas others act nonlocally, which means that a factor measured at one location has effect on soil water storage at another location. The objective of this study was to examine the effects of local and nonlocal controls of soil water storage in a hummocky landscape using cyclical correlation analysis. Soil water storage, soil properties and terrain indices were measured along a 128‐point transect of 576 m long from the semiarid, hummocky, prairie pothole region of North America. There are large coefficients of determination (r2) between soil water storage and sand content (r2 = 0.32–0.53), organic carbon content (r2 = 0.22–0.56), depth to carbonate layer (r2 = 0.13–0.63), wetness index (r2 = 0.25–0.45) and other variables at the measurement scale at different times, indicating strong local effects from these variables. The correlation coefficients were also calculated by physically shifting the spatial series of soil water storage with respect to that of controlling factors. The shifting improves the correlation between the spatial series, and the length of shifting indicated the difference in the response of soil water to its controlling factors. For example, the value of r2 increased more than eightfold (r2 = 0.47–0.64) after shifting the spatial series of soil water storage by 54 m, almost equal to the average length of existing slope, compared with the very weak correlation (r2 = 0.02–0.08) at the measurement scale. This indicated the nonlocal effect from the relative elevation. The identification of nonlocal effects from factors improves the prediction of soil water storage. In this paper we consider the time-dependent diffuse reflection and transmission problems for a homogeneous anisotropically-scattering atmosphere of finite optical depth and solve it by the principle of invariance. Also we consider the time-dependent diffuse reflection and transmission of parallel rays by a slab consisting of two anisotropic homogeneous layers, whose scattering and transmission properties are known. It is shown how to express the time-dependent reflected and transmitted intensities in terms of their components. In a manner similar to that given by Tsujita (1968), we assumed that the upward-directed intensities of radiation at the boundary of the two layers are expressed by the sum of products of some auxiliary functions depending on only one argument. Then, after some analytical manipulations, three groups of systems of simultaneous integral equations governing the auxiliary functions are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we present our most recent results on the sub-iron (Sc to Cr) to Fe nuclei abundance ratios in the low-energy cosmic rays of 50 to 250 MeV nucl.–1 and their implications as observed in theSkylab experiment. In view of the importance of this ratio in determining the cosmic-ray pathlength in interstellar medium, we have obtained additional data in the same detector module and the results of final analysis are reported. Charge determinations in the Lexan detector were made from an average of about four independent measurements ofZ for each of the cosmic-ray events and the mean charge resolution is obtained asZ/Z0.2. From about 100 events of calcium to nickel in low-energy cosmic rays, sub-iron (Sc to Cr) to Fe–Co ratio is determined as 1.43±0.40 in 50–250 MeV nucl.–1. This shows a large energy dependence of the ratio as compared to the value of 0.4–0.8 in 200–1000 MeV nucl.–1 as measured by many investigators. The origin of this large enhancement of the ratios in low-energy cosmic rays is not known at present. Some possible suggestions are briefly mentioned.  相似文献
