Within the framework of the linear theory taking into account the action of the Coriolis force, we study waves induced in a continuously stratified fluid with one thermocline by periodic variations of pressure on the free surface. The fluid fills a bounded basin of constant depth. We establish the dependences of the wave amplitudes and wave velocities on the period of disturbing pressure. The sequence of transformations of generated waves from the barotropic character of motion to baroclinic depending on changes in the period of disturbing pressure is studied in detail.  相似文献

Preliminary results of a space experiment using the IKFS-2 infrared sounder (Meteor-M2 satellite) showed high-quality of measurements of spectra of the outgoing thermal radiation of the atmosphere–surface system and the adequacy of developed IR radiation atmospheric models in the 15-μm carbon gas absorption band used to recover the vertical profiles of the atmospheric temperature. Outgoing radiation spectra measured by IKFS-2 instruments make it possible to restore vertical temperature profiles with errors close to 1K in most of the 0–30 km high-altitude region, except for the lower troposphere and altitudes above 30 km, where these errors are close to 2–3K.  相似文献

Based on mathematical simulation, quantitative estimates of the effect that coarse dust particles have on the accuracy of retrieving the optical characteristics of aerosol have been obtained from the results of ground-based measurements of the spectral fluxes of both direct and scattered solar radiations. The results of verifying a retrieval algorithm (used at the AERONET ground-based network) based on special test models showed that the aerosol characteristics retrieved with this algorithm are unsuitable for calculating integral solar fluxes and for simulating space spectrometric IR measurements when the concentration of dust particles in the atmosphere exceeds their concentration in the well-known CONT model of continental aerosol by a factor of two or more.  相似文献

Considered is a possibility of specifying the forecast of volcanic aerosol distribution in the atmosphere using the data of ground-based actinometric measurements. To simulate the aerosol distribution, the FlexPart software (Norwegian Institute for Air Research) was used. Using the FlexGraph software (Planeta Research Center for Space Hydrometeorology), the visualization and interactive analysis were carried out of aerosol concentration fields at different time moments. The prognostic concentration of volcanic ash from Grímsvötn volcano (May 2011) is bound to the results of measurements of aerosol optical depth in Hamburg at one of the points of AERONET global network. The comparison of the corrected aerosol concentration with the measurements at other AERONET points demonstrated the competence of the proposed approach. To specify the aerosol cloud distribution forecast on the territory of Russia, the Roshydromet actinometric network data can be used.  相似文献

We have estimated and compensated the error in long-term series of the aerosol optical thickness (AOT) calculated from the data on direct integral solar radiation measured by a standard actinometer at the Meteorological Observatory of the Moscow State University (MO MSU) for strong atmospheric turbidity conditions. The necessary corrections have been obtained by the Monte-Carlo simulation of the actinometry measurements for different atmospheric conditions, taking into account the angular size of the field of view of the instrument; and a special correctional formula has been obtained. This correction formula has been applied for all timed AOT values of above 0.5 observed at the MO MSU for the entire time period from 1955 to 2013. Changes in the long-term average AOT values in Moscow occurred only when the smoky haze from the forest and peat fires affected the aerosol turbidity of the atmosphere. Here, the significant decreasing trend of aerosol optical depth of the atmosphere from 1955 to 2013 has been retained with the same confidence level.  相似文献

The development of the AIRS (EOS/Aqua) and IASI (MetOp) satellite hyperspectral IR sounders opens new opportunities for determining the average tropospheric carbon dioxide concentration (XCO2 X_{CO_2 } ) and total methane content (QCH4 Q_{CH_4 } ) in the atmosphere from large distances, which is important in climatic studies and since the ground network for CO2 and CH4 observations is scarce. The improved scheme for XCO2 X_{CO_2 } retrieval from the AIRS data, which was used to construct the XCO2 X_{CO_2 } spatial distribution based on the AIRS data for July 2003 and 2010 covering Siberia, is presented. A similar methodology was also used to retrieve instantaneous XCO2 X_{CO_2 } values from the cloud-cleared IASI data for July 7, 2008 and the YAK-AEROSIB experimental region. A comparison of the satellite data with quasi-synchronous aircraft observations gives an error of about 2.2 million−1. The iterative physical algorithm was developed in order to retrieve QCH4 Q_{CH_4 } . The efficiency of the proposed algorithm was estimated during the experiments with actual IASI data covering the Siberian region during several days in July 2008. The QCH4 Q_{CH_4 } estimates were validated by comparing them with the spatially superimposed and quasi-synchronous QCH4 Q_{CH_4 } , estimates based on the AIRS data. The standard deviations of both types of estimates are not more than 3%.  相似文献
