摘    要:本文采用陕西、湖北、浙江、江西及北京地区的烧土标本测得十七个不同时代的地磁倾角与偏角数据,按照地球磁场的中心偶极模式推算了各相应时代的虚地磁极(Virtual Geomaffnetic Pole)的地理座标,得到了六千余年间VGP的移动曲线.对此曲线的一些特征进行的初步探讨表明,在近数千年间,磁极运动的方向无固定的趋势,运动的速度亦不均匀,而运动的轨迹迂迥曲折,其平均位置与地理极不重合.

Abstract:The declinations and inclinations of 17 epochs were determined using the baked earth collected from Shanxi, Hubei, Zhejiang, Jiangxi provinces and Beijing region. According to the geocentric dipole model for the magnetic field of the Earth the geographic coordinates of Virtual Geomagnetic pole (VGP) for all these epochs were calculated and the wandering path of VGP for the last 6000 years was obtained. The preliminary analyses indicate that the motion of VGP during the last several thousands of years is not uniform-there is no preferential tendency in the direction of the pole movement and the trajectory of the movement is quite tortuous, and contains turns, even loops. The average position of the geomagnetic poles determined in such a way docs not coincide with the geographic pole for the last 6000 years.
