Abstract:The fluctuating characteristics of hydrodynamic forces on a bed particle has been systematically studied. The test results with a single particle proudding out of bed indicates that the averaged-time forces on a particle are linear to the square of longitudinal averaged-time velocity. The coefficients of lin force (C1) and drag force (Cd) arc 0.296 and 0.392 rcspcchvcly, close to the resistance coemcicnt of particle settling in septical water.fluctuating intensity of the forces on particle is less than 10 percent of the averaged-take values. The coemcient of fluctuating lift force (c, ) is 0.078 and that of fluctuating drag force (C,) is 0.15I. Probability density of fluctuating stresses is corresponding with normal distribution.
