Abstract. During the execution of a slug test, the water level in a well is instantaneously raised or lowered and changes in the water level are monitored as it seeks its equilibrium position. A method to generate artificial time-histories from given floor response spectra is presented in this paper. The original method proposed by Levy and Wilkinson1 is modified. New iterative equations are developed, based on extensive computational experimentation, to speed up and stabilize the convergence process. The present approach, when applied to spectra with peaks in the high frequency range (40 to 100 Hz) along with seismic peaks, converges very closely to the target spectra within eight iterations regardless of damping values. The original computer program for synthetic time-history generation was developed on the UNIVAC 1100 series computer. This program was converted to work on the IBM PC. The PC based program ‘MICRO-SEIM’ saves the response spectra generated at each iteration and the final synthetic time-history on the PC diskette. The post processing program reads those saved data from the diskette and plots the spectra and time-history.  相似文献

Abstract. WATEQB is a BASICA revision for IBM PC of WATEQF, a geochemical model for chemical equilibrium and saturation of natural waters. This model computes the speciation of inorganic ions and complex species in solution for a given water analysis.
WATEQB is identical to the FORTRAN IV version from the standpoint of chemical process; however, the structure of the program differs from the original version. The structure of the program is not complex and allows the user to try some new modifications, if necessary.
Due to the limited memory of personal computers and in contrast to the large volume of the original version of the program, the author has created four data files, one of which is of random access type. Reading the thermochemical data is possible through these four data files.
This paper demonstrates how to set up the input data to execute WATEQB and describes the program rather than the model. The users of WATEQB will increase as personal computers become more common.  相似文献

《山西地震综合数据处理系统》是遵循《国家地震局数据库技术规范》,以PDP-11/23~+小型机与IBM/PC联机为硬件支撑,以网状型数据库为核心,含前期处理、库管理、数据检索、科学计算、分析会商5个子系统的较大型应用软件系统。具有对数据进行收集、录入、预处理、存储、管理、加工及应用等功能。整个系统通过总控菜单程序实现了异种机间上百个模块的调度,使查询-处理一体化。该系统把地震数据库、日常监测数据处理、专家地震预报系统有机地衔接于一体,可直接服务于地震科研和震情会商。该系统的建设是山西省重大科技攻关项目,也是国家地震局的合同制项目。  相似文献

Abstract. We have developed a program which aids in the design and analysis of pumping tests and slug tests. In design mode, the program emphasizes calculation and plotting of the sensitivities of drawdown (or head) to well function parameters. In analysis mode, the program can analyze a given set of experimental data. For pumping tests, the program allows multiple observation wells and multiple variable-rate pumping wells. The program is written in a modular fashion, allowing easy addition of well functions to the currently existing library. An example based on a hypothetical pumping test illustrates the utility of sensitivity analysis for well test design.  相似文献

Understanding dynamics in time and the predominant underlying factors that shape them is a central question in biological and medical sciences. Data are more ubiquitous and richer than ever before and population biology in the big data era need to integrate novel methods. Calibrated Individual Based Models (IBMs) are powerful tools for process based predictive modelling. Intervention analysis is the analysis in time series of the potential impact of an event such as an extreme event or an experimentally designed intervention on the time series, for example vaccinating a population. A method for big data analytics (causal impact) that implements a Bayesian intervention approach to estimating the causal effect of a designed intervention on a time series is used to quantify the deviance between data and IBM outputs. Having quantified the deviance between IBM outputs and data, IBM scenarios are used to predict the counterfactual. The counterfactual is how the IBM response metric would have evolved after the intervention if the intervention had never occurred. The method is exemplified to quantify the deviance between a calibrated IBM outputs and epidemiological data of Bovine Tuberculosis with changing the cattle TB testing frequency as the intervention covariate. The advantage of IBM data validation and uncertainty assessment as time series is also discussed.  相似文献

Summary A common computer program for the interpretation of vertical magnetic anomalies of spheres and horizontal cylinders has been developed. The input consists of the observed anomalies noted against their distances measured from an arbitrary point in the profile and a code number for each model. The program is written so that the positions and magnitudes of the maximum and minimum anomalies are located and their ratios and signs are used to define the initial parameters of the model under consideration. The errors resulting from these approximate values are derived and are solved for the increments to be given to the initial values. The process is repeated until the sum of the squares of the errors is less than 0.25% of the sum of the squares of the observed anomalies. The method has been tested on various theoretical examples and the results justify the validity of the programme.  相似文献

Abstract. The protection and cleanup of aquifers is a matter of high priority for all states and the federal government. One concept that is receiving increased attention is that of wellhead protection. Capture zones showing the area influenced by a well within a certain time are useful for both aquifer protection and cleanup. If hydrodynamic dispersion is neglected, a deterministic curve defines the capture zone. Analytical expressions for the capture zones can be derived for simple aquifers. However, the capture zone equations are transcendental and cannot be explicitly solved for the coordinates of the capture zone boundary. Fortunately, an iterative scheme allows the solution to proceed quickly and efficiently even on a modest personal computer. Three forms of the analytical solution must be used in an iterative scheme to cover the entire region of interest, after the extreme values of the x coordinate are determined by an iterative solution. The resulting solution is a discrete one, and usually 100-1000 intervals along the x-axis are necessary for a smooth definition of the capture zone. The presented program is written in FORTRAN and has been used in a variety of computing environments. No graphics capability is included with the program; it is assumed the user has access to a commercial package. The superposition of capture zones for multiple wells is expected to be satisfactory if the spacing is not too close. Because this program deals with simple aquifers, the results rarely will be the final word in a real application. However, the program is useful as a first phase in developing wellhead protection or aquifer cleanup schemes.  相似文献

One of the methods for studying the near-surface low-velocity zone and for subsequent determination of static corrections is the technique of employing first arrivals. During the past few years several computer algorithms, based on some simplifying assumptions, have been suggested for automatic determination of first arrivals. This paper suggests a new method for automatic picking of first arrivals, which works under quite general assumptions concerning the character of the data. The method is based on the use of correlation properties of signals and the application of a statistical criterion for the estimation of first arrivals time. A number of dimensionless parameters is used in the algorithm making it possible to regulate the level of reliability and the resolution of the picking procedure. The second stage of the algorithm is the parameterization of the traveltime curve, that is a division of the previously obtained t—x curve into separate rectilinear segments. The suggested algorithm of parameterization is based on an heuristic use of some properties of maximum likelihood estimates. This permits location of the breakpoints of the t—x curve and the estimation of the parameters of each rectilinear segment. A computer program has been written based on the picking and parameterization algorithm. This program has been tested on a large amount of field data and the results show that it works at least as well as the hand procedure.  相似文献

Historically, specific capacity information has been used to calculate aquifer transmissivity when pumping test data are unavailable. This paper presents a simple computer program written in the MATLAB programming language that estimates transmissivity from specific capacity data while correcting for aquifer partial penetration and well efficiency. The program graphically plots transmissivity as a function of these factors so that the user can visually estimate their relative importance in a particular application. The program is compatible with any computer operating system running MATLAB, including Windows, Macintosh OS, Linux, and Unix. Two simple examples illustrate program usage.  相似文献

An interactive program written for an APPLE II+ 48K computer is presented which solves Glover's (1960) analytical solution for recharge from a rectangular basin. A Visual Basic program for an Excel spreadsheet was written to construct a master recession curve (MRC), using the adapted matching strip method, for recession analysis of ground water level time series. The program uses five different linear/nonlinear regression models to adjust individual recession segments to their proper positions in the MRC. The program can also be used to analyze the recession segments of other time series, such as daily stream discharge or stage. Some examples of field data from Croatia are used to illustrate the usefulness of its application.  相似文献

A new version of the computer program FLASH (Flow-Log Analysis of Single Holes) is presented for the analysis of borehole vertical flow logs to estimate fracture (or layer) transmissivities and far-field hydraulic heads. The program is written in R, an open-source environment. All previous features have been retained and new features incorporated including more rigorous parameter estimation, uncertainty analysis, and improved data import. 研究了应用主动锚索控制装置控制相邻建筑地震响应的有效性。首先,建立了主动锚索-相邻建筑系统的运动方程;然后应用广义振型分析方法,寻求了主动锚索联结的相邻建筑的力学特性,特别是振型阻尼比;最后,在频率域内应用广义振型分析与虚拟激励相结合的方法,建立了主动锚索控制装置联结相邻建筑的随机地震响应的分析方法。应用本文建立的公式,我们编制了计算机程序,进行了广泛的参数研究,以评价控制装置的有效性,并确定最优传感器类型及控制装置参数。研究表明,如果应用速度传感器,并能适当地选择主动锚索控制器的参数,则可以显著地提高系统的振型阻尼比,减小两个结构的地震响应。  相似文献
