Precursory stages of failure development in large rock samples were studied and simultaneous observations of the space-time variation of several physical fields were carried out under different stress-strain states. The failure process was studied in detail. A hierarchical structure of discreet rock medium was obtained after loading. It was found that the moisture reduced the rock strength, increased the microcrack distribution and influenced the shape of the failure physical precursors. The rise in temperature up to 400 °C affected the physical precursors at the intermediate and final stages of the failure. Significant variations were detected in the acoustic and electromagnetic emissions. The coalescence criterion was slightly depending on the rock moisture and temperature effect. The possibility of identifying the precursory stage of failure at different strain conditions by means of a complex parameter derived from the convolution of physical recorded data is shown. The obtained results point out the efficiency of the laboratory modelling of seismic processes.  相似文献

Time delays associated with processes leading to a failure or stress relaxation in materials and earthquakes are studied in terms of continuum damage mechanics. Damage mechanics is a quasi-empirical approach that describes inelastic irreversible phenomena in the deformation of solids. When a rock sample is loaded, there is generally a time delay before the rock fails. This period is characterized by the occurrence and coalescence of microcracks which radiate acoustic signals of broad amplitudes. These acoustic emission events have been shown to exhibit power-law scaling as they increase in intensity prior to a rupture. In case of seismogenic processes in the Earth's brittle crust, all earthquakes are followed by an aftershock sequence. A universal feature of aftershocks is that their rate decays in time according to the modified Omori's law, a power-law decay. In this paper a model of continuum damage mechanics in which damage (microcracking) starts to develop when the applied stress exceeds a prescribed yield stress (a material parameter) is introduced to explain both laboratory experiments and systematic temporal variations in seismicity.  相似文献

In the present article, the dependencies of the acoustic signal total energy and the energies of the wave packets of different types of the waves on the elastic parameters and permeability of rocks have been studied. We have considered traditional logging tools containing acoustical monopole source. Calculations were performed in a frequency range of dozens of kilohertz, typical for acoustic well logging. It was shown that in a typical high-velocity formation (vs > vf, where vs and vf are the velocities of the shear wave in the rock and of the compressional wave in the borehole fluid, respectively), the pseudo-Rayleigh waves, whose elastic properties depend mainly on the shear modulus of the rock, contributed significant energy to the total signal energy in the borehole. The energies of different wave packets depend on the permeability in different ways. The greatest sensitivity to permeability change has been shown by the acoustic signal total energy and the energy of the low-velocity part of the pseudo-Rayleigh wave packet. The theoretical analysis was illustrated by real sonic log data.  相似文献

通过实验研究不同煤样变形破坏全过程的声发射和电磁辐射效应的演化规律,分析了煤样变形破坏过程中电磁辐射和声发射信号的相关性和煤样变形破坏的微观机理,提出了煤样变形破坏过程中电磁辐射和声发射信号分别是在煤样内的裂纹面滑移和裂纹扩展时产生的观点,较好地解释了煤样变形破坏过程中声电效应的变化规律和特征,为进一步提高电磁辐射及声发射、电磁辐射综合预测煤岩动力灾害的可靠性和准确性提供了理论基础.  相似文献

The analysis of the data of variations of the apparent electric resistivity of rocks (AR) in the area of the Chirkey HES has been carried out for the period after the water reservoir was filled. For measurements the method of dipole electric sounding has been used with location of potential dipoles around the water reservoir with a distance between them of 5.2–11.3km. The analysis of the data obtained for the period of observations (1976–1988) has shown that the filling of the water reservoir affected the environment for a long time. After it was filled (1975), at different observation points located around the water reservoir a decrease of 1.6–2.4 times was registered in the AR over the period from 1976–1988. This is connected with the process of inundation of the rock mass, which continued for more than 14 years. The process of water filtering into the surrounding rock mass was complicated; that is, it varied in time and space. At the initial stage of the reservoir filling the AR variations of a high amplitude (30–40%) were observed. These variations are considered to be connected with the seismic regime of the area of the water reservoir. A synchronous decrease in the AR, registered at the receiver points was followed by an increase of the number of the earthquakes of energetic class (K = 10). The given anomalous data are connected by an increase in the water filtration into fractured zones, whose filtration features change on being affected by tectonic stresses.  相似文献

A series of acoustic emission (AE) experiments of rock failure have been conducted under cyclic load in tri-axial stress tests. To simulate the hypocenter condition the specimens are loaded by the combined action of a constant stress, intended to simulate the tectonic loading, and a small sinusoidal disturbance stress, analogous to the Earth tide induced by the Sun and the Moon. Each acoustic emission signal can indicate the occurrence time, location and relative magnitude of the damage (micro-crack) in the specimen. The experimental results verified some precursors such as LURR (Load/Unload Response Ratio) and AER (Accelerating Energy Release) before macro-fracture of the samples. A new parameter, the correlation between the AE and the load, has been proposed to describe the loading history. On the eve of some strong earthquakes the correlation between the Benioff strain and the Coulomb failure stress (CFS) decreases, similar to the variation of LURR prior to strong earthquakes.  相似文献

An overall acceleration of rock glacier displacement rates in the Alps has been observed in recent decades, with several cases of destabilization leading to potential geomorphological hazards. This behaviour has been attributed to the rising permafrost temperature, induced by atmospheric warming and regulated by thermo-hydrological processes. Landforms derived from the interaction of glacier remnants and permafrost are widespread in mountain areas, but are less studied and monitored than talus rock glaciers. This work presents a comparative study of a talus rock glacier and a glacial-permafrost composite landform (GPCL) in the Eastern Italian Alps. The two landforms are only 10 km apart, but have rather different elevation ranges and main slope aspects. The kinematics and ground thermal conditions were monitored from 2001 to 2015 along with geomorphological surveys, analyses of historical maps and remote sensing data. The dynamic behaviour of the rock glacier was similar to the majority of monitored rock glaciers in the Alps, with an acceleration after 2008 and a velocity peak in 2015. In contrast, the GPCL had a nearly unchanged displacement rate during the observation period. Statistical analyses of kinematic vs. nivo-meteorological variables revealed a dynamic decoupling of the two landforms after 2008 that corresponds with increased winter snow accumulation. Although the kinematics of both landforms respond to ground surface temperature variations, the collected evidence suggests a different reaction of ground surface temperature to variations in the precipitation regime. This different reaction is likely due to local topo-climatic conditions that affect snow redistribution by wind. The different reactions of the two systems to the same climatic forcing is likely a legacy of their different origins. GPCL dynamics result from interaction of permafrost and residual glacial dynamics that are associated with possible peculiarities in the internal/basal meltwater circulation, whose future response is uncertain and requires improved understanding. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

为准确确定露天煤矿地下水分布与类型,根据不同赋存条件电磁差异,基于磁场强度与电阻率参数进行异常划分与类型判别。以新疆某露天煤矿为例,采用高精度磁法通过磁异常强度确定烧变岩边界,并采用高密度电法和瞬变电磁法通过电阻率圈定低阻异常区,结合异常响应差异分别推断地下水分布范围与赋存类型。地面钻探验证探测成果的准确性。结果表明:露天煤矿烧变岩水与砂岩裂隙水电磁响应差异明显,基于磁场强度与电阻率的双参数综合电磁法能准确圈定其分布范围,并判别其赋存类型。  相似文献

— In order to verify some precursors such as LURR (Load/Unload Response Ratio) and AER (Accelerating Energy Release) before large earthquakes or macro-fracture in heterogeneous brittle media, four acoustic emission experiments involving large rock specimens under tri-axial stress, have been conducted. The specimens were loaded in two ways: monotonous or cycling. The experimental results confirm that LURR and AER are precursors of macro-fracture in brittle media. Results of five-year electromagnetic monitoring of a rock mass of the Tashtagol mine are presented. The introduction of the interval intensity parameter for disintegration zones is shown to be instrumental in the numerical classification of the rock mass state in terms of three gradations: stable, unstable, and intermediate. 随着石油勘探工业的持续发展和技术水平的日益提高,低孔低渗油气藏已成为我国油气勘探开发的重要领域之一,但是该类油气藏的储层岩石物理关系复杂,对其评价也相对较难。本文针对中深层气藏低孔低渗储层评价存在的困难,采用修正的White气体包裹体模型开展岩石物理研究。首先对气体包裹体模型进行分析,得到纵横波速度的计算公式,进而理论计算并分析纵横波速度与孔隙度、饱和度、压力及温度参数的变化关系,最后结合岩心实验对理论计算结果进行了验证。研究结果表明基于气体包裹体模型的理论计算结果与实测数据吻合较好,可以较好地为低孔低渗复杂储层声波速度测量及解释提供技术支持。   相似文献

寻找地震前兆是国内外地震预报的难点.在实验室开展岩石变形实验,观测相关物理量的演化特征和规律,是前兆探索中重要的基础工作.本文对压性雁列断层进行变形实验,根据应力时间曲线将具有前兆意义的变形阶段分为强偏离线性阶段、亚失稳阶段和失稳阶段,利用红外热像仪记录各个阶段的热场变化,特别是亚失稳阶段的热场表现.研究结果显示:强偏离线性阶段,岩桥区挤压升温;亚失稳阶段,断层带增温,且高温点扩展连通,断层带内侧卸载降温,断层带上的协同化增温和断层带内侧(包含岩桥区)的协同化降温是失稳前的重要信号;失稳阶段,应力释放,标本整体降温,只有断层带因摩擦升温.总之,亚失稳阶段的热场具有明显特征,利于识别出亚失稳态;不同变形阶段、不同构造部位温度变化不同,在寻找与构造活动相关的热异常时,应考虑变形所处的阶段及异常所处的构造部位.  相似文献

在地震等灾变的发生之前,会出现一定的前兆现象。中通过实验方法对这些前兆现象之一的态矢量的异常变化进行了研究。实验使用声发射技术(Acoustic Emission),对三轴应力条件下岩石试件内部微裂纹的产生和扩展进行了记录。实验结果表明在岩石试件最终破坏之前,表征态矢量的相关参量都发生了异常明显的变化,这表明态矢量的异常变化可以被用作为岩石等脆性材料灾变的前兆,使用态矢量方法可以对脆性材料的破坏乃至地震作出预测。  相似文献

Dynamic processes within the Earth are capable of modifying many of its physical properties. This review considers the modification of electrical resistivity mainly by time-changes in the stressfield experienced by crustal materials. Laboratory experiments indicate that certain rock types, whose resistivity is controlled by the volume and geometry of microcracks, can undergo large resistivity variations in response to the typical strain accumulation and release that accompanies major earthquakes. Electromagnetic response functions are reviewed with regard to their ability to monitor time-changes of resistivity in active regions. Some examples of the different experimental techniques used to investigate precursory changes in response functions prior to earthquakes are noted. The problems and successes of the subsequent correlation and interpretation of the derived response as a function of time are then discussed. Only relatively few controlled and integrated studies of time-dependent electromagnetic response functions exist. Those which are available, however, emphasise that changing stress-differentials occurring before major earthquakes can be monitored using suitable electromagnetic techniques.  相似文献

The essential conditions for effective and ecologically safe exploitation of underground waste storage are maintenance, prevention, and monitoring of tightness of rock masses covering and surrounding the reservoir rock complex. This monitoring can be realized by a especially designed acoustic measurement system.The reservoir rock complexes - without leakage - are supposed to be in physical equilibrium; without changes of rock dynamic properties the acoustic emission vanishes. In contrast, as is shown, the results of the field tests carried out in coal mines proved that there was a correlation between the stresses and the acoustic emission ratio. The laboratory experiments also showed correlation between changes of permeability of coal samples and acoustic emission.the explanation of the observed results is based on the development of inelastic deformation of a rock skeleton. The plastic strains in the porous rock appear after overcoming the yield point. The yield point value can be extended by increase of shear stresses, effective stresses and interstitial pressure.In particular, there are three kinds of dynamic phases which may appear preceding the failure of leak tightness:
1. (1) breaking of the rock masses due to stress (Griffith criterion of stability may be expressed in terms of the acoustic emission parameters),
2. (2) the dilatant corrosion of pressure plasticity resulting from chemical, physical and thermal activities, and
3. (3) the destructive increase of pressure in rock pores.
This paper presents the statistical parameters describing the acoustic emission from the rock mass and the dynamic processes mentioned above are described in terms of seismoacoustic activity.  相似文献

Stick-slip of fault in laboratory accompanies change of temperature. Temperature change is not only concerned with sliding friction, but also with the stress state of the sample. In this article, we use infra-red thermal imaging system as wide-range observation means to study the temperature variation of different stages during the deformation of sample. The rock sample for the experiment is made of granodiorite from Fangshan County with a size of 300mm×300mm×50mm. It is cut obliquely at an angle of 45°, forming a planar fault. Two-direction servo-control system was used to apply load on the sample. The load in both directions was forced to 5MPa and maintained constant (5MPa) in the X direction, then the load in the Y direction was applied by a displacement rate of 0.5μm/s, 0.1μm/s and 0.05μm/s successively. The left and below lateral of the sample were fixed, and the right and top lateral of the sample were slidable when loaded. The experiment results show not only the temperature change from increase to decrease caused by conversion of stress accumulation to relaxation before and after the peak stress, but also opposite variation of temperature increase on fault and temperature decrease in rock during instability stage. Most important of all, we have found the temperature precursor identifying the position of instability through the temperature variation with time along the fault. It shows that rate of temperature increase of instability position keeps relative high value since the stage of strongly off-linear stage, and accelerates in stage of meta-instability. After separating the effect of friction and stress, we found that temperature increase occurs in the rock near the fault instead of on the fault, which means the mechanism of temperature increase is stress accumulation. Temperature of fault at the instability position does not increase, which means the position is locked. We speculate that the position of locked area on fault with high stress accumulation near the fault may be the future instability position. It is of significance of studying temperature variation during stick-slip to the monitoring of earthquake precursors. Heat caused by friction of earthquake needs long time to transfer to the surface and could not be detected as a precursor. While the stress of surface rock near the fault would change as the stress of interior rock changes, which could cause detectable temperature variations. The research purpose of this article is to find special change positions before instability. As the temperature variations are caused by stress and slip of fault, the results are also meaningful to analysis of stress and displacement data related to earthquake precursors.  相似文献

在单轴压力下对灰岩、花岗岩、石英岩三种样品的破裂过程与电磁辐射进行了实验室试验。结果表明,含有石英晶体的岩石,在破裂过程中产生的电磁信息,其振幅具有脉冲形态;随着应力水平的增高,电磁脉冲的频度增加,与声发射具有同步发展的趋势;不同结构的介质,主破裂前又呈现出平静和高潮两种不同类型。此外,含有石英晶体的岩石其主破裂及解体过程中,伴随最强的电磁脉冲,出现明显的闪光现象。文中对实验结果作了初步的讨论。  相似文献

This paper presents the main results of developing a method for continuous monitoring of rock resistivity. The method uses continuous electromagnetic radiation of man-made or natural origin as a sounding signal. Underground electrical antennas are used as sensors. The physical basis of this method is the dependence of rock resistivity on the degree of fluid saturation, which changes under mechanical stress variations in geological media.  相似文献

在传统的勘探电磁学理论中,往往把岩层磁导率近似看成空气中的磁导率,从而得到简化后的电磁场响应式,主要用于指导非磁性介质情况下的电磁探测.本文开展了磁性介质的电磁响应理论、数值模拟和特征分析等研究,以便实现对磁性矿体的电磁精细探测.首先推导出磁性层情况下的电磁响应表达式;然后,计算了几种典型磁性介质地质断面的响应曲线,并对其响应特征进行了分析;研究结果表明:当磁性层位于地表时,当表层相对磁导率μr1.2,磁性层对电磁测深曲线具体明显的影响;当岩层为中间层时,只要μr1.2,对H型、A型曲线中段会有影响.对H型曲线,主要表现在使极小值处的曲线抬高、变宽,以致使曲线形态发生变化;当磁性层处于最后一层时,不论岩层的磁导率是多少,对各类二、三层曲线来讲,不会影响曲线的形态,只是使渐近线前第一个极值点的位置右移,极值点至渐近线之间的线段变得较为陡峭.  相似文献
