Altimeter Measurements of Wind and Wave Modulation by the Kuroshio in the Yellow and East China Seas 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The Kuroshio is the major ocean current conveying heat and water mass in the Pacific Ocean. The impact of the Kuroshio on
regional wind and wave distributions has been studied with spaceborne-altimeter measurements in the Yellow and East China
Seas. In this region the Kuroshio trajectory is relatively stationary and the monsoon patterns dominate, making it an ideal
natural laboratory for large scale air-sea-current interaction research. Major findings from this study include: (a) The Kuroshio
exerts significant influence on the wind and wave distributions over a swath about 800-km wide along its path. (b) Seasonal
average wind speeds reach a maximum near the Kuroshio axis. The magnitude of enhancement ranges between 20 and 50 percent.
(c) The distribution of the surface wave heights displays similar spatial patterns to the wind-speed distribution. The Kuroshio
effects on wave heights are further complicated by the hydrodynamic modulation of wave-current interaction and the influence
of thermal stratification on wind-wave generation. (d) Kuroshio effects are most prominent in the first and last quarters
of the year, and least prominent in the third quarter. 相似文献

研究旨在提出波流联合作用下海底管道侧向运动数值模拟分析方法。通过建立三维离散刚体模拟海床,梁单元模拟海底管道,设置了两个载荷步模拟管道与土壤接触的过程,解决了实体模型不易收敛的问题。分析了不同管—土法向行为接触刚度、不同管—土切向行为摩擦系数、不同波流参数以及不同单位长度管道水下质量对海底管道侧向运动的影响。研究表明:海底管道的最大等效应力、最大侧向位移、最大接触压力以及最大横向摩擦剪应力对于管—土法向行为接触刚度的变化并不敏感;管道的最大侧向位移随着管—土切向行为摩擦系数增大而减小,呈现出线性变化的关系;当波高一定时,管道的最大侧向位移随着流速的增加而增大,并且波高越小,最大侧向位移随流速增加的速度明显越大;管道最大侧向位移随着单位长度管道水下质量的增加而减小,并且呈现出线性变化的关系。 相似文献

Experimental study of the transformation of bound long waves over a mild slope with ambient currents
The effect of currents on the variation of cross-shore bound long waves forced by bichromatic waves over a plane slope was investigated in the laboratory. In still water the growth rate of the shoaling bound long waves over the slope is proportional to h– 5/2 (h is still-water depth). It was found that the opposing current makes the amplitudes of the bound long waves greater than those of still water for all cases. However, the amplitudes of bound long waves in a following current are reduced in the weakly modulated cases but are enhanced in the fully modulated case. 相似文献

This paper is the product of the wave modelling community and it tries to make a picture of the present situation in this branch of science, exploring the previous and the most recent results and looking ahead towards the solution of the problems we presently face. Both theory and applications are considered.The many faces of the subject imply separate discussions. This is reflected into the single sections, seven of them, each dealing with a specific topic, the whole providing a broad and solid overview of the present state of the art. After an introduction framing the problem and the approach we followed, we deal in sequence with the following subjects: (Section) 2, generation by wind; 3, nonlinear interactions in deep water; 4, white-capping dissipation; 5, nonlinear interactions in shallow water; 6, dissipation at the sea bottom; 7, wave propagation; 8, numerics. The two final sections, 9 and 10, summarize the present situation from a general point of view and try to look at the future developments. 相似文献

The dynamical features of air-sea coupling waves and their stabilities in a simple coupled air-sea model in the tropics have been studied with respect to interaction occurring among different types of the free waves in the o-cean and in the atmosphere. It is pointed out that there exist a stable and an unstable air-sea interaction modes in the tropical coupled system , respectively. The propagation of the unstable mode relies greatly on the zonal space scale, i. e. only for wave length ranging from 5 000 km to 10 000 km can the disturbance unstably move slowly eastward. The waves that slowly propagate unstably eastward agree well with the observational facts. Finally,it is also proposed that the interaction between Kelvin wave in one medium and Rossby wave in another medium is a necessary condition for the occurrence of destabilization of the coupled air-sea system in the tropics. 相似文献

随着超大型海洋结构物的设计和研究日益受到重视,研究多物体之间的流体动力干扰特性显得十分必要。用波动源在截面周线上分布的方法,就垂直桩柱间三维流体动力干扰对波浪力的影响进行了系统的研究,不仅可得到单行柱列的流体动力干扰力学机理的新特性,而且对多行桩柱阵列的研究也取得了若干新的发现:多行柱柱阵列的遮蔽作用强于单行的;无论是单行还是多行柱列,其流体动力干扰特性存在一个十分敏感的来波频域,在此区域内,力的幅值会大大超过其他频域的受力,而且桩柱阵列与交错阵列的力学特性也有所不同。这对超大型海洋结构物的设计有着重要的指导意义。 相似文献

The shelf-break front is an omnipresent phenomenon in coastal oceans all over the world, but there is still no definitive explanation for the genesis of such a front. It is possible that different mechanisms are operative at different times and locations, but all of them should have something to do with the sharp change of bottom topography near the shelf-break. A couple of recently proposed mechanisms of shelf-break frontogenesis are dicussed. One of them invokes a flow convergence produced by local air-sea interac- tion over sloping topography, whereas the other relies on the depth dependence of wind-induced shear dispersion. These novel ide- as are based on new observational evidences and previous theoretical studies, and they are demonstrated here using an idealized o- cean-atmosphere coupled model and a stand-alone ocean model. The air-sea interaction mechanism seems plausible for the shelf- break front in the East China Sea, and the shear dispersion mechanism is likely to be applicable to the shelf-break front off the northcastem United States. 相似文献

This paper proposes an optimum design medel for the offshore jacket platform considering multi-design criteria,multi-design constraints and the structure-pile-soil interaction,and gives an optimum designprocedure in which the proposed optimum design model is used together with structural analysis softwareSAP91 and optimum algorithm software OPBI.The Chengbei ~#11 offshore platform,which lies in theShengli oil field,is designed by use of the above optimum design model.The results show that the optimumdesign model is stable,and it depends on neither the optimization algorithm nor initial values of design vari-ables.All values of the objective function converge to the same minimum value,and the speed of conver-gence is high,showing that the proposed optimum design model is reasonable. 相似文献

The hydrodynamics of side-by-side barges are much more complex than those of a single barge in waves because of wave shielding, viscous effects and water resonance in the gap. In the present study, hydrodynamic coefficients in the frequency domain were calculated for both the system of multiple bodies and the isolated body using both low-order and higher-order boundary-element methods with different element numbers. In these calculations, the damping-lid method was used to modify the free-surface boundary conditions in the gap and to make the hydrodynamic results more reasonable. Then far-field, mid-field and near-field methods were used to calculate wave-drift forces for both the multi-body system and the isolated body. The results show that the higher-order method has faster convergence speed than the low-order method for the multi-body case. Comparison of different methods of computing drift force showed that mid-field and far-field methods have better convergence than the near-field method. In addition, corresponding model tests were performed in the Deepwater Offshore Basin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Comparison between numerical and experimental results showed good agreement. 相似文献

The interaction of water waves with multiple circular cylinders is analysed briefly in this paper.The formula obtained by Linton and Evans is improved to introduce a relation of phase between cylinders.The condition for the existence of the solution has been proved.The numerical results are compared with ana-lytic solutions(Linton and Evans),numerical solutions and experimental data(Isaacson),and good agree-ment has been found. 相似文献

采用过滤和切向超滤将黄河、长江和钱塘江水样分成< 1 .0μm ,< 0 .4μm ,< 5000Dalton ( 相当于1 .5mm 孔径) 三个级分,分别对三个级分滤液与铅进行吸附络合反应的动力学进行了初步研究。黄河水样< 1.5nm 超滤液与铅吸附络合反应呈快反应,< 0.4μm 和< 1 .0μm 的各级过滤液呈慢反应;长江和钱塘江水样各级滤液均呈慢反应。长江和钱塘江水样与铅反应存在络合竞争,反应速率取决于竞争离子络合物的解离速率;黄河水样则没有络合竞争。黄河水样< 0 .4μm 和< 1 .0μm 的滤液与铅的络合反应速率由铅与胶体之间的反应决定,反应速率由液膜扩散控制。 相似文献
