An existing 2D time-domain method for separating irregular incident and reflected waves by wavelet transform [Ma et al., 2010. A new method for separation of 2D incident and reflected waves by the Morlet wavelet transform. Coastal Eng., 57(6):597–603] is extended to account for obliquely incident irregular waves propagating over sloping bottoms. The linear shoaling and refraction coefficients are adopted to determine the amplitude and phase changes of waves. The optimal central frequency of the Morlet wavelet is determined by the minimum Shannon wavelet entropy. Numerical tests show that the present method can accurately separate waves over horizontal depths. For waves at sloping bottoms, however, the separation errors increase as bottom slope increases and are significant for waves with incident angle larger than π/3.  相似文献

Wavelet analysis is a relatively new technique and in the recent years enormous interest in application of wavelets has been observed. This modern technique is particularly suitable for non-stationary processes as in contrast to the Fourier transform, (FT), the wavelet transform (WT) allows exceptional localization, both in time and frequency domains. The wavelet transform has been successfully implemented in signal and image processing, ordinary and partial differential equation theory, numerical analysis, communication theory and other fields. On the other hand, the application of the WT to ocean engineering and oceanography is rare. In this paper the WTs capability to give a full time–frequency representation of the wave signals is demonstrated. The processing of the time series of the non-stationary deep water waves, waves breaking at the tropical coral reefs and mechanically generated waves in the wave flume demonstrates the ability of the wavelet transform technique to detect a complex variability of these signals in the time–frequency domain. Various spectral representations resulting from the wavelet transform are discussed and their application for wave signals is shown.  相似文献

A new technique for measuring wave profiles by wavelet transform using the Mexican Hat wavelet as the mother wavelet is introduced. This technique has the potential to provide low cost, high resolution field measurements of wave profiles in the laboratory. The experiments to capture the video image of the wave profile were carried out in a wave flume. Then, the Mexican Hat wavelet was adopted to trace out the exact profiles of the waves from the captured video images. The series of tests on numerical data and video images show promise as means of detecting two-dimensional profiles of waves.  相似文献

The wavelet transform (WT) is now recognized as a useful, flexible, and efficient technique to analyze intermittent, non-stationary and inhomogeneous signals as well as images which are obtained from experimental or in situ measurements. In this study, the two-dimensional continuous wavelet transform (2-D CWT) was introduced to analyze the spatial image of waves. The numerical algorithm of 2-D CWT was developed and testified in simulated wave field of regular and random waves. Some more simulated wave fields of various wave conditions and sea bed slopes were then assumed to verify the analytical accuracy of this new technique. The comparisons of estimations to theoretical values for several wave parameters show that the 2-D CWT is capable of identifying the directional spectra and wave properties in shallow water.  相似文献

通过小波变换分析的波能过程定义了两个描述波浪群性的参数,由数值模拟波浪和实测波浪资料对其与常用的波群参数进行对比分析,结果表明基于小波波能过程定义的群性参数是有效的,从而展示了小波变换用于在时频域上分析波群的能力。详细探讨了波浪记录长度对群性参数稳定性的影响,分析结果表明,波浪观测长度对于波群参数的影响较大,在考虑波浪群性的波浪模拟及分析时,建议模拟时间长度应在400~500个波以上。  相似文献

在随机海浪条件下,基于修正的四阶非线性薛定谔方程(m NLS)能够有效地模拟畸形波的非线性演化,文中利用小波变换对演化过程进行分析,并对时频谱特征参数(能量集中区域在时域和频域的分布范围)以及能量集中度进行了定量描述,结果表明,当畸形波出现时,能量可以由低频向高频扩散且能量集中度相对较大。  相似文献

本文采用经验模式分解 (EMD)与小波变换相结合的方法分析非平稳机械故障信号的奇异性 ,进行机械故障诊断。与直接对原信号进行小波分析相比较 ,该方法提取的奇异性特征明显。数值模拟和对故障轴承的振动信号分析表明了该方法的有效性。  相似文献

The use of wavelet transforms is explored to investigate the nonlinear dynamical characteristics of ship roll and coupled heave-roll motion. The harmonic character, double period character and chaotic character are observed via a time–frequency window of the wavelet transform. Typical wave parameters in different stability regions are considered. Features such as restoring rolling, divergence rolling, steady state and chaotic responses of ship roll are obtained as well. The investigation in this paper not only highlights the feasibility of using wavelet transforms in the analysis of nonlinear dynamic characteristics of ship rolling in waves, but also shows how it could enhance the analysis abilities.  相似文献

In this paper, we define a time-domain pressure transfer function calculated from SIWEH (smoothed instantaneous wave energy history) transforms, and a time-frequency domain pressure transfer function calculated from wavelet transforms, of synchronized wave and pressure data. It is our objective to study whether the time-domain pressure transfer function and the time-frequency domain pressure transfer function can provide new interpretation of wind wave behaviors. The detail structure of local time-frequency pressure transfer function in three-dimensional plot from wavelet transform is not employed due to its large variations, instead the time-integral wavelet spectral pressure transfer function and frequency-integral wavelet SIWEH pressure transfer function are used. These two averaged pressure transfer functions are smooth approximations of frequency-domain Fourier and time-domain SIWEH pressure transfer functions, respectively.Application to real ocean waves reveals that in frequency-domain the measured Fourier and wavelet spectral pressure transfer functions can be approximated by the linear pressure transfer function in the dominant wave range. In time-domain, the wavelet SIWEH pressure transfer function is a better indicator of wind wave behaviors than the SIWEH pressure transfer function. A value higher than 0.5 for the wavelet SIWEH pressure transfer function is a good discriminator of relative shallow-water long waves and wave groups are mostly composed of relative low frequency long waves.  相似文献

进行海面微尺度波频率分析时,为消除重力波影响,引入二维 EMD(经验模态分解)方法滤除造成频率混叠的长重力波,然后进行傅立叶变换,得到海面微尺度波谱,进一步处理得到斜率波数谱。斜率波数谱提取结果表明:采用二维EMD方法可以有效滤除图像中混叠的长波信息,在此基础上进行微尺度斜率波谱计算的结果与国外已有结果基本一致。文中还将二维 EMD 方法与小波方法的处理结果进行了比对,结果表明在滤除长波的影响时,二维EMD方法具有其较明显的优势。  相似文献

Diapycnal mixing plays an important role in the ocean circulation.Internal waves are a kind of bridge relating the diapycnal mixing to external sources of mechanical energy.Difficulty in obtaining eigen solutions of internal waves over curved topography is a limitation for further theoretical study on the generation problem and scattering process.In this study,a kind of transform method is put forward to derive the eigen solutions of internal waves over subcritical topography in twodimensional and linear framework.The transform converts the curved topography in physical space to flat bottom in transform space while the governing equation of internal waves is still hyperbolic if proper transform function is selected.Thus,one can obtain eigen solutions of internal waves in the transform space.Several examples of transform functions,which convert the linear slope,the convex slope,and the concave slope to flat bottom,and the corresponding eigen solutions are illustrated.A method,using a polynomial to approximate the transform function and least squares method to estimate the undetermined coefficients in the polynomial,is introduced to calculate the approximate expression of the transform function for the given subcritical topography.  相似文献

提出了小波变换与高斯函数相结合进行影像去噪的方法,在去除高斯白噪声的同时能够有效去除椒盐噪声。此方法是在小波域内结合小波变换的特点对高频子带分别进行高斯低通滤波,将滤波后的小波系数经过反变换后即可得到经过去噪后的影像。实验表明该方法不仅对高斯噪声和椒盐噪声去噪效果明显,而且保留了影像的细节信息,其滤波效果优于中值滤波和小波软阈值法。  相似文献

为进一步降低侧扫声纳回波信号中非高斯分布的乘性噪声,获取更佳效果的侧扫声纳图像,提出了一种利用小波和NLM(nonlocal means)滤波的组合降噪方法。首先采用同态变换将侧扫声纳回波ping信号中的乘性噪声转换为加性噪声,然后利用小波阈值和NLM滤波对侧扫声纳每ping回波数据实施降噪处理,最后经过小波反变换和指数变换获取降噪后信号和图像。仿真实验和实测数据验证结果表明,该方法适用于侧扫声纳回波信号处理,可以获取较好的图像降噪效果。  相似文献

对风浪超射现象进行实验研究,由于峰频率谱值不易精确定,因此通过谱分析不易获得精确的风浪超射曲线。在风浪槽中4个风区处观测随风时成长风浪,以子波变换分析风浪资料,结果表明,风浪高频组成波在成长中姓能量超射,与Sutherland等结果相比,该能量超射幅度更大。  相似文献

声学多普勒流速剖面仪(ADCP)是对海洋内波监测的有效手段,但受到仪器本身和复杂的海洋环境噪声等影响,走航式ADCP记录的海流数据存在大量噪声,且混有流速异常值。为了进一步提高海洋内孤立波的提取精度与准确性,本文针对走航式ADCP海流数据特点引入IGG3方法的权函数因子,设计了一种抗差Vondrak滤波器,并与快速傅里叶变换、小波分析和滑动平均3种传统滤波方法进行对比,以验证抗差Vondrak滤波方法的有效性与优越性。研究结果表明,抗差Vondrak滤波方法不仅可以有效地滤除流速噪声,还可以自适应剔除海流观测数据中的异常值,由其提取出的内孤立波准确且各层水平流速清晰。因此,与传统滤波方法相比,抗差Vondrak滤波方法在内孤立波提取方面具有一定的优越性。  相似文献

小波变换突破了传统Fourier变换等信号处理方法均限制,具有表征信号局部特征的能力,信号的局部奇异性包含了信号的许多重要信息,论文研究了信号的奇异性检测问题。给出小波变换和信号奇异性的关系,实现小波分析对信号各类奇异间断点的有效检测,最后进行实例分析,说明此理论与方法适用于对边缘信号与突变信号的处理和提取,为海底底质识别提供理论依据。  相似文献

基于现有地磁日变理论和改正方法,对国际公开地磁静日变数据进行傅里叶变换和一维连续小波变换综合分析,判断大于0.2 Hz频段为磁扰变化场在频域的体现,并利用一维离散小波变换将数据分离,完善了已有的地磁静日变改正方法。根据日变数据特征和一维离散小波分解特性,选定sym8小波作为基本小波对数据进行7尺度分解,将日变数据中长期变化和短期变化与磁扰部分在保证保真度条件下有效分离,并与傅里叶级数分解和低通滤波处理效果作对比验证,结果显示一维离散小波变换处理效果更佳。日变数据中短、长期变化与磁扰两部分数据的有效分离并分别改正可提高海洋地磁测量日变改正质量,降低海洋地磁数据处理过程中误差累积程度,提高了现行日变改正方法的科学性、准确性。  相似文献
