在太阳系的形成和演化过程中,发生在天体物质间的撞击作用是最重要的地质过程之一.撞击构造是地外天体表面最常见的地貌单元,大部分天体的地貌演化主要受撞击作用控制.撞击过程产生的温度、压力和应变速率比岩石圈内的其他地质过程高多个数量级,形成广泛分布的撞击产物,如气化物、熔融物、冲击变质和变形等.虽然撞击过程转瞬即逝,撞击作用向天体注入能量并改变其内、外结构,对天体的圈层系统产生长远影响.持续撞击在天体表面累积了大量的撞击坑,撞击坑的空间分布反映了受外来撞击的历史.内太阳系在~3. 8 Ga前的撞击频率更高,但是大量撞击盆地是否灾变式的密集形成仍在持续争议;~3. 8 Ga以来的撞击频率趋于稳定,但是缺乏具有明确事件指代性的标定样品.在同一天体上,撞击坑的空间密度指示了相应地质单元的形成时间,因此撞击坑统计常被用于估算地外天体表面地质单元的相对年龄.基于月球软着陆探测任务返回的样品,前人已约束了不同直径的月球撞击坑的形成频率,进而建立了使用撞击坑统计估算月球表面地质单元的绝对模式年龄的方法.另外,内太阳系天体可能经历了相似的撞击历史,因此地-月系统的撞击频率已被缩放至其他类地行星.撞击坑统计是探索太阳系天体的撞击历史、遥估地外天体表面的相对和绝对年龄的主要方法,也是行星地质研究的基本工具.该方法的整体可靠性已得到大量实验的验证.同时,该方法在理论基础和技术细节上还存在大量的不确定性.修正该方法是完善太阳系撞击历史的重要研究内容,也是未来采样返回探测任务的重要科学目标.  相似文献

Here we present detailed geological maps and cross-sections of Liverpool, Wolfe Creek, Boxhole, Veevers and Dalgaranga craters. Liverpool crater and Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater are classic bowl-shaped, Barringer-type craters. Liverpool was likely formed during the Neoproterozoic and was filled and covered with sediments soon thereafter. In the Cenozoic, this cover was exhumed exposing the crater's brecciated wall rocks. Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater displays many striking features, including well-bedded ejecta units, crater-floor faults and sinkholes, a ringed aeromagnetic anomaly, rim-skirting dunes, and numerous iron-rich shale balls. Boxhole Meteorite Crater, Veevers Meteorite Crater and Dalgaranga crater are smaller, Odessa-type craters without fully developed, steep, overturned rims. Boxhole and Dalgaranga craters are developed in highly foliated Precambrian basement rocks with a veneer of Holocene colluvium. The pre-existing structure at these two sites complicates structural analyses of the craters, and may have influenced target deformation during impact. Veevers Meteorite Crater is formed in Cenozoic laterites, and is one of the best-preserved impact craters on Earth. The craters discussed herein were formed in different target materials, ranging from crystalline rocks to loosely consolidated sediments, containing evidence that the impactors struck at an array of angles and velocities. This facilitates a comparative study of the influence of these factors on the structural and topographic form of small impact craters.  相似文献

Remote sensing and GIS techniques play a substantial role for the identification of possible terrestrial impact structures, for mapping target-rock lithologies and deciphering the structural style of known craters. In this case study the lithological and structural characteristics of the highly eroded Proterozoic Strangways impact crater in the Northern Territory have been analysed on the basis of Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper satellite imagery, topographical data and airborne geophysical data. Regarding Landsat data, the calculation of basic statistical parameters and the optimum index factor has been found useful for a pre-selection of informative band combinations. By means of the analysis of multisensoral data, the distribution of crystalline basement rocks, siliciclastic target rocks of the Roper Group as well as post-impact deposits and deeper seated Proterozoic dykes can be detected. The original crater dimensions of the Strangways structure are carefully estimated at 26?–?29 km by combining the remote sensing data with the distribution of shatter cones localised in the field. The remote sensing/GIS approach of a geological interpretation based on multisensoral sources and combined fieldwork data can be successfully applied to other impact structures on earth, as well.  相似文献

The 100-km diameter Popigai impact crater (astrobleme), which formed 35.7?Ma ago as a result of the collision of an ordinary chondrite asteroid, was discovered in the 1970s. The impact site was studied in detail for nearly two decades, and various geological investigations were performed there. They included drilling of numerous wells (about 850), geophysical surveys, and investigations of impact breccias and impactites. This research was generally performed in connection with the identification of the unique resource of industrial impact diamonds, which were found in impact rocks for the first time in the world. The extensive research data acquired over 20–30 years include geological maps, collections of rock samples and thin sections, core samples, etc. All these materials are stored in the Russian Research Geological Institute in St Petersburg. Although a lot of data on the Popigai crater have already been published, the available materials and new analytical methods offer the opportunity to obtain some new data on mechanisms of rock-forming processes during an impact event, to improve existing geological models, and to compare in detail all these features to those established in other large craters on the Earth. Modelling of the physical processes of impact cratering has been extended and new data contribute significantly to the study of impact cratering and other problems of comparative planetology. In particular, many different hypotheses of rock-forming mechanisms are tested, especially those of impact melting of various target lithologies, homogenisation of huge volumes of melt products, and their mode of ejection, deposition, cooling, etc.  相似文献

撞击角砾岩是陨石撞击过程形成的特有岩石种类,是研究撞击成坑过程、陨石坑定年、矿物岩石冲击变质的理想对象。岫岩陨石坑是一个直径1800m的简单陨石坑,坑内有大量松散堆积的撞击角砾岩。本研究通过光学显微镜、费氏台、电子探针、X射线荧光光谱仪、电感耦合等离子质谱仪等分析测试手段,主要研究了岫岩陨石坑撞击角砾岩的岩相学和冲击变质特征,并在此基础上讨论了撞击角砾岩的形成过程和陨石坑的形貌特征。岫岩陨石坑内产出有三种撞击角砾岩,分别是来自上部的玄武质角砾岩和复成分岩屑角砾岩,以及底部的含熔体角砾岩。组成玄武质角砾岩和复成分岩屑角砾岩的碎屑受到的冲击程度较低,仅有少量石英发育面状变形页理,指示不超过20GPa的冲击压力。而组成含熔体角砾岩的碎屑受到了很强的冲击,发育了熔融硅酸盐玻璃、石英面状变形页理、柯石英、二氧化硅玻璃、击变长石玻璃、莱氏石等冲击变质特征,指示的峰值压力超过50GPa。本研究证实了含熔体角砾岩通常产出在简单陨石坑底部,由瞬间坑的坑缘和坑壁垮塌的岩石碎屑与坑底的冲击熔体混合形成。岫岩坑的真实深度是495m,真实深度与直径的比值为0.275,符合简单陨石坑的尺寸特征。陨石坑内的撞击角砾岩中心厚度为188m,与直径之比为0.104,略低于其它简单坑,可能是受丘陵地貌影响导致改造阶段垮塌到坑内的岩石角砾偏少。  相似文献

Impact structures can be catalogued according to the age of the rocks in which they are now found ("country rocks"). The observed frequency distribution of craters by age of country rock is shown to be statistically indistinguishable from the predictions of a simple model in which it is assumed that the survival time for craters is the same as that for their target rocks. Other models are considered, but do not match the data. A lower limit of the rate of bombardment through the Phanerozoic, based only on documented craters, is 0.13 +/- 0.09 events/ma/10(8) km2 for craters with diameters > or = 10 km and 0.09 +/- 0.08 events/ma/10(8) km2 for craters with diameters > or = 20 km. The data allow, but do not demand, an increase in meteorite flux over the Phanerozoic but do not allow any significant decrease. We estimate that only about 6% of the existing terrestrial impact structures of diameter greater than 10 km have been discovered to date, and only 16% of those with diameter greater than 20 km.  相似文献

当陨石撞击地球表面时, 它所引起的瞬时(1秒至1微秒)动态高压(数十至数百个吉帕)和高温(大于1500℃), 必然导致陨石撞击坑(astroblems)的生成并使周围岩石发生变质作用, 这便是撞击变质作用(impact metamorphism)。目前关于撞击构造(impact tectonics)作用研究的主要进展涵盖如下四个方面:1.撞击坑的构造形貌及形成机制; 2.撞击变质作用及撞击变质岩; 3.撞击作用的数值模拟和实验研究; 4.撞击作用的经济地质意义。陨击作用研究不仅具有学术意义, 还具有实际的经济地质意义。南非的Vredefort-Witwatersrand是最老的撞击构造, 它以丰富的金铀矿床而闻名; 加拿大的肖德贝里(Sudbury)以同撞击作用期的大型铜镍矿床著称; 如今北美、中美不少地区正在探索与陨击期后构造有关的油气储集。此外, 许多陨击变质岩可以供作建筑材料。不少撞击坑已经辟为旅游胜地, 如德国的Nordlingen Ries撞击坑。我国撞击构造的研究已有不少进展。20世纪90年代初发现了海南白沙陨击坑, 此外内蒙古的多伦、江苏的太湖和辽宁的岫岩罗圈里等地也发现有陨击构造的证迹, 不过, 都尚待进一步的工作予以证实。全球撞击构造研究经验可以借鉴的是, 在长期构造稳定区较易于发现陨击坑; 不少撞击构造被隐伏在第四纪或更老的沉积物之下, 所以采用人造卫星发回资料解译地球表面的照片, 加上地球物理勘探, 可以有效地确定研究靶区, 在此基础上再加强岩石学、构造学研究予以确认。   相似文献

环形构造是一种常见的地质现象,特别是在月球上分布更为普遍。本文论述了三种成因的环形构造,即:侵入岩成因的环形构造,火山成因的环形构造,以及小天体撞击形成的撞击坑。文中详细介绍了它们的成因与结构特征,指出侵入岩成因的环形构造主要由岩浆冷凝收缩形成,在遥感影像上主要表现为影像色调的不同;火山成因的环形构造为火山口,在遥感影像上具有环形结构;而小天体撞击形成的撞击坑形态复杂,如碗形坑、中心锥环形坑与多环撞击坑,撞击坑的坑沿外缓内陡,遥感影像上表现为环形或弧形构造,有些撞击坑具有辐射纹。  相似文献

撞击坑是太阳系内大多数类地行星表面的一种重要地质过程,文中介绍了撞击坑形成的机制和撞击坑研究中的数值模拟方法。首先介绍模拟撞击成坑过程的基本理论与策略,着重指出状态方程在数值模拟中具有重要作用。然而,相对于客观世界物质复杂多样,在撞击坑数值模拟中仅有少数物质的状态方程,因此在研究中不可避免地使用其他物质的状态方程进行替换。详细阐述了状态方程替换的概念和原则,即它们的雨贡纽曲线必须相似。其次进一步从理论上分析这种替代过程对物理属性以及溅射速度的影响。最后,开展两个小型撞击坑的数值模拟,靶区分别使用花岗岩和石英岩,模拟结果显示了两次模拟中的峰值压力、温度以及密度的相似性和差异性。这种分析能够有助于行星科学领域的研究,尤其是在目前从月球、火星以及其他星体正在获取越来越多数据的阶段。  相似文献

本文根据核爆炸岩石熔融玻璃的地球化学研究结果,与超速陨石撞击坑的熔岩进行比较,获得在远离热力学平衡条件下,各种玻璃和熔岩在化学成分上分布十分均匀的重要结论。岩石玻璃和熔岩是由基岩各组成岩石按一定比例混合熔融形成的。它们的主量元素和痕量元素丰度受基岩元素背景值制约。文中根据熔体和靶岩的化学成分,计算了熔岩各组成岩石的百分比。玻璃陨石是地壳岩石受撞击熔融形成的。同一撒布区的玻璃陨石化学成分相近,说明起源于同一源坑;而玻璃陨石化学成分的不同,则说明母岩组成分量的差异。因此,文中通过模拟计算,得出各玻璃陨石的组成源岩。澳大利亚撒布区的玻璃陨石,Al2O3,K2O 和Na2O 与 SiO2及 K2O/Na2O 比值不完全相同,说明澳大利亚撒布区存在着几个不同的源岩和源坑,至少有印支、爪哇、菲律宾和澳大利亚四个相应撞击坑。  相似文献

研究区位于内蒙古自治区奈曼旗和库伦旗南部,构造区划属于华北板块北缘的天山-赤峰活动带^[1]。区内晚石炭世地层以陆源碎屑岩和碳酸盐岩沉积为主。二者在空间上具有相变关系。按微相组合或基本层序,沉积构造,生物特征及其空间分布规律,可划分出滨岸相,潮坪相,台后盆地相及台地相4种岩相,8个微相;它们构成一个较为完整的海进层序,属于海侵体系域沉积。反映华北板块北缘晚石炭世海槽属于被动陆源盆地-即陆表海环境。  相似文献

以 31届国际地质大会有关论文为基础 ,综述了国内外撞击构造研究的最新进展 ,分 4个方面 :(1)新的撞击坑发现与报道 :除已知的 145个之外 ,还有巴西的 14个撞击坑 ,其中 7个目前已经证实 ;蒙古的 2 0个撞击坑 ,其中 11个已经证实 ;中国自 2 0世纪 70年代以来发现和报道的 8个撞击坑和对它们的研究简况。 (2 )撞击构造与地球演化 :涉及到地球的起源 ,天体撞击在地球形成中的作用 ,撞击周期 ,撞击与地磁 ,地轴变动的关系 ,撞击作用与板块构造 ,撞击与地球内动力的关系 ,太阳系其他行星上的撞击作用对比。 (3)撞击构造研究方法 :包括对复杂撞击坑中心隆起的深钻研究成果 ,对海洋巨型撞击坑的地震测量 ,撞击熔岩的分异与蚀变的物理化学实验计算 ,深部流体与撞击作用的研究进展 ,撞击压力测量的新方法 ,撞击变质作用在矿物学上的进展 ,撞击数学模型的建立与应用。 (4 )撞击构造与经济矿产 :包括金刚石 ,宝玉石 ,Au ,Ag ,Cu ,Ni,Co ,Se ,Te ,Pb ,Zn ,PGE ,REE ,U ,Th等多种元素与矿产以及石油、煤、天然气与撞击构造的关系 ,这些矿产在成因、分布规律、控制作用与撞击构造的关系。  相似文献

Impact cratering was an important — even dominant — process affecting the crustal evolution of the small terrestrial planets. The fundamental highlands/maria dichotomy of the Moon's surface can be traced to a late heavy bombardment by basin-forming, asteroid-sized bodies which produced not only a topographic division in the lunar crust but also localized the later eruptions of mare basalts. Major impact basins with diameters in excess of 200 km are recognized throughout the inner solar system from Mars to Mercury. Similar craters must have formed on the Earth prior to 4 Ga ago, and the minimum number of such basin-forming impacts can be calculated by scaling from the observed (minimum) number preserved on the Moon. When allowance is made for differences in impact velocity, gravitational cross-section and the effects of gravity on crater diameter, it is found that at least 50% of a presumed global sialic crust would have been converted into impact basins by 4 Ga ago. Among the effects resulting from the impact of an asteroidal object on the early crust were: (a) establishment of a topographic dichotmy of 3–4 km (after isostatic adjustment), (b) pressure-release partial melting of the upper mantle and rapid flooding of the basin floor by basalt, and (c) enhancement of thermal gradients in the sub-basin lithosphere and upper asthenosphere. Comparative planetary data such as impact scaling can be used as important constraints on models of the early terrestrial crust. For example, the topography resulting from impact bombardment produced discrete oceans and dry land by 4 Ga ago, making unreasonable models of a globe-encircling ocean on the Earth after that time.  相似文献

Two general classes of lunar impact breccias have been recognised: fragmental breccias and melt breccias. Fragmental breccias are composed of clastic-rock debris in a finely comminuted grain-supported matrix of mineral and lithic fragments. Impact melt breccias have crystalline to glassy matrices that formed by cooling of a silicate melt. Most lunar impact breccias in our collection probably sample ejecta from large complex craters or multi-ring basins, although linking individual breccias to specific impact events has proven surprisingly difficult. A long-standing problem in lunar science has been distinguishing clast-poor impact melt breccias from igneous rocks produced by melting of the lunar interior. Concentrations and relative abundances of highly siderophile elements derived from the meteoritic impactor provide a useful discriminant, especially when combined with petrologic and geochemical evidence for mechanical mixing. Most lunar impact melt breccias have crystallisation ages of 4.0?–?3.8 Ga, corresponding to an episode of intensive crustal metamorphism recorded by whole-rock U?–?Pb isotopic compositions of lunar anorthosites. This may reflect a short-lived spike in the cratering rate, although other explanations are possible. The question of whether or not a cataclysmic bombardment struck the Earth and Moon at ca 3.9 Ga remains open and the subject of continuing investigations.  相似文献

The 35.7 ± 0.2 Ma old Popigai crater, Siberia, with a diameter of about 100 km is one of the best preserved large terrestrial impact structures. The heterogeneous target at the impact site consists of Archean to Lower Proterozoic metamorphic rocks of the crystalline basement, Upper Proterozoic quartzites and other clastic deposits, as well as Cambrian to Cretaceous clastic sediments and sedimentary rocks, including carbonate rocks. Moreover, Proterozoic and Permo-Triassic dolerite dykes are found in the target area. We report major element, Sr and Nd isotope data for 13 of these target rocks and for various types of impactites. The 15 analysed impactite samples include tagamites (impact melt rocks), suevites and impact glass from small veins. Furthermore, two impact breccias and two impact glass-coated gneiss bombs were analysed. We discuss the relation of these impactites to the target lithologies, and evaluate on the basis of literature data the relation of microkrystites (and associated microtektites) in Upper Eocene sediments to the Popigai event.The impactites have SiO2 abundances ranging from 59 to 66 wt.% and show significant variations in the content of Fe, Ca, and Ti. They have present day 87Sr/86Sr ratios between 0.7191 and 0.7369. Their Sr model ages TSrUR range from 1.9 to 2.3 Ga. The 143Nd/144Nd ratios for the impactite samples cluster between 0.5113 and 0.5115. The Nd model ages TNdCHUR range from 1.9 to 2.1 Ga.In an εCHUR(Nd)-εUR(Sr) diagram, the impactites and Upper Eocene microkrystites (and associated microtektites) plot in a field delimited by Popigai target lithologies. The impactites are restricted to the field of crystalline basement rocks and Upper Proterozoic quartzites, but they show different isotopic signatures in different crater sectors. Impactites and Upper Eocene microkrystites plot in different, only partly overlapping clusters. The leucocratic microkrystites and microtektites have a higher affinity to the post-Proterozoic rocks in the target area than the impactites. Seemingly, the melanocratic microkrystites originated mostly from crystalline basement. This data alignment supports the assumption that Popigai is the source crater for all three types of ejecta. For the first time, clear relations are established of the geochemically variable Upper Eocene microkrystites and associated microtektites to specific target lithologies at Popigai crater. Finally, the observed range in Sr and Nd isotope parameters determined for impact melt lithologies that originated during the Popigai event show a much higher variability than known from other craters. This result indicates that mixing of impact melt which later formed tagamite sheets and glass particles in different impact breccias, was incomplete at the time of ejecta dispersal.  相似文献

Highly deformed regionally metamorphosed rocks of the Natal-Namaqua belt north of Durban preserve the features of a major Precambrian geosynclinal sequence, with possible reactivated oceanic and continental floor material. The broad scale grouping of similar lithologies into mappable geologic units is possible. Formation status is assigned to certain units, classified in the Natal group. Variation of lithologic character of these rocks within the belt is correlated with facies of orogenic deposition. Three zones of regional progressive metamorphism are recognised, and the metamorphosed rocks of the belt can be divided into a high-pressure intermediate, intermediate-pressure and intermediate-low pressure facies series types corresponding to the upper-greenschist facies, low-amphibolite facies and middle-amphibolite facies respectively. These three metamorphic terrains display considerable differences in composition and structural style, and correspond to the major tectonic units of the belt. Evidence gained from a study of the distribution of regional metamorphism in the Natal-Namaquarides north of Durban, has reinforced the favourability of applying the theory of plate tectonics to the development of the orogen in an attempt to obtain a broader understanding of the geologic history of the belt. Furthermore, the complex suite of metamorphites and associated intrusive phases constituting the belt involves the deformation and metamorphism of lithological types similar to those described in orogenic belts in other parts of the world.  相似文献

火山口附近是多种岩性、岩相叠合的地区,堆积厚度大、储层孔隙度大、储层物性好,是天然气勘探开发的有利目标区.火山口位置的确定对天然气的勘探开发部署具有特殊意义.利用岩石薄片X衍射技术,在松辽盆地深层富碱酸性火山岩中识别出特征的碱性暗色矿物--钠铁闪石,从而确定其为碱流岩.碱流岩是富碱岩浆演化晚期的产物,岩浆喷发到地表时粘度大,流动性差,往往堆积在火山口附近.碱流岩可以作为确定火山口存在的重要标志之一,它的确定对提高深层火山岩天然气勘探开发的效率具有重要的指示意义.  相似文献

Impact between windblown quartz grains as a source of desert dust is consistent with laboratory abrasion experiments and has received some field confirmation in the Negev. The suggestion is that an important process on Mars now gains support from laboratory studies; even though their geochemical interpretation is controversial, they show that dust generation by impact is tenable even for quartz. A simple mechanism for small dust production from sand seas is proposed; internal stresses can be mobilized by impact energy. A speculative mechanism (the andesite scenario) is proposed for fine particle production by particle impact on Mars. The internal stress range in terrestrial sand grains may vary, depending on the nature of the source rock, and this may influence particle production by impact processes.  相似文献

大青山高级变质岩不仅记录华北克拉通早期大陆形成演化历史,也保留了中下部地壳岩石流变信息,它们经历了下部地壳构造层次高角闪岩相-麻粒岩相条件变质变形、深熔作用改造,形成了复杂构造样式和构造要素组合.韧性剪切带是高级变质岩中主要构造形迹,控制着早前寒武纪高级变质岩主体构造格架.依据野外地质产状、变形特征与构造要素叠加改造关系,韧性剪切带划分为早期近水平顺层伸展型和晚期陡倾韧性剪切带.近水平顺层伸展韧性剪切带呈残留状保留在后期变形改造较弱部位上,主要沿着不同地质单元或者岩性层界面上发育,是在伸展变形体制下形成的.晚期陡倾韧性剪切带呈近东西方向展布,规模较大,叠加和改造早期构造形迹,形成于晚期造山挤压构造环境中,以左行滑移为主.这两种韧性剪切带都形成于地壳中深部构造层次高角闪岩相-麻粒岩相条件下,变形机制主要为熔体增强颗粒边界扩散和颗粒流动,使岩石发生大规模的塑性流动.在宏观上形成了不对称流动组构、条纹条带构造、熔融线理、层内流动褶皱等构造形迹,在微观上矿物晶体没有发生明显塑性变形,均匀消光,晶体为三边平衡结构,与静态变质结构相似,形成了地壳深部构造层次上变质构造岩-构造片麻岩.   相似文献
