Summary The displacement produced in an infinite homogeneous, isotropic elastic medium due to a steadily progressing crack has been obtained in a closed form by using Laplace transforms andCagniard's method. A transient Green function due to suddenly applied line loads in an isotropic and homogeneous half-space is reported in this paper. The derivation of the half-space Green function in the Laplace and the Fourier transform spaces is first reviewed. Following an explicit inversion of the Fourier transform, the inverse Laplace transform is implemented along the contour integral on the p-complex plane in an integral form. The half-space Green function consists of full-space Green functions and a singularity-free complementary term. It can be easily incorporated into current transient boundary elements using the transient full-space Green function. Combined with finite elements, the half-space Green function can be used in a hybrid procedure to solve transient half-space problems without discretization of the free surface. Numerical results are presented to illustrate transient wave propagation in a half-space.  相似文献

We present a unified formulation of an analytical method for evaluating the response of a random soil medium to surface or earthquake excitations. Specifically, we are interested in this study to the case of a horizontally stratified layered soil profile. Soil properties, mass density and shear modulus of each layer are modeled as spatial random fields. The soil profile is laying on a homogeneous half-space. Integro-differential equations are formulated and solved using the Laplace transform method. Numerical results are, firstly, obtained in terms of effects of soil properties on distributions of mean dimensionless displacement and stress with depth. Then, the amplification function of the surface layer of a soil profile is formulated and a parametric study is conducted to examine the effects of stochastic variations of mass density and shear modulus on the amplification function. We, lastly, computed the seismic response of a site located in the basin of Metidja in Algeria to base rock accelerations which were recorded at Keddara's station during the May 21, 2003 Boumerdes earthquake, in terms of free surface Fourier spectrum amplitudes and accelerations. Comparison between computed accelerations and recorded ones at Dar Elbeida site has proved the effectiveness of the approach.  相似文献

本文首先讨论了压力空腔和爆炸中心的等价问题。计算层状介质中的空腔爆炸所产生的位移场时,可先求介质的单位脉冲响应,然后将其与等价的爆炸点源函数做褶积。对于均匀的半空间,自由面位移的暂态解是由三个无量纲的参数所决定的;由此可导出远场位移的精确解。本文也讨论了爆炸点附近的运动。最后还导出多层介质中空腔爆炸所产生的表面位移谱的形式解。  相似文献

The two-dimensional problem of the generation of water waves due to instantaneous disturbances prescribed at the bed of a beach sloping at an arbitrary angle is studied here. It is formulated in terms of an initial-boundary-value problem for the velocity potential describing the motion in the fluid region assuming the linear theory. Using the Laplace transform in time and the Mellin transform in distance, the problem is reduced to solving a difference equation whose method of solution is of considerable importance in the literature. The form of the free surface is obtained in terms of a multiple infinite integral that is evaluated by the method of steepest-descent. For some prescribed forms of the disturbance at the bed of the beach, the free surface is depicted in a number of figures for different beach angles. It is observed that as the beach angle decreases, the maximum wave height increases, which is plausible.  相似文献

The scattering of SV waves by a canyon in a fluid-saturated, poroelastic layered half-space is modeled using the indirect boundary element method in the frequency domain. The free-field responses are calculated to determine the displacements and stresses at the surface of the canyon, and fictitious distributed loads are then applied at the surface of the canyon in the free field to calculate the Green's functions for displacements and stresses. The amplitudes of the fictitious distributed loads are determined from the boundary conditions, and the displacements arising from the waves in the free field and from the fictitious distributed loads are summed to obtain the solution. The effects of fluid saturation, boundary conditions, porosity, and soil layers on the surface displacement amplitudes and phase shifts are discussed, and some useful conclusions are obtained. It is shown that the surface displacement amplitudes due to saturation and boundary conditions, different porosities, or the presence of a soil layer can be very dissimilar, and large phase shifts can be observed. The resulting wavelengths for an undrained saturated poroelastic medium are slightly longer than those for a drained saturated poroelastic medium; and are longer for a drained saturated poroelastic medium than those for a dry poroelastic medium. As porosity increases, the wavelengths become longer; and a layered half-space produces longer wavelengths than a homogeneous half-space.  相似文献

Summary The present note makes use of electromagnetic equations of Maxwell and those of mechanical motions to work out the problem of disturbances in two perfectly conductive media—an ideal liquid and a perfectly elastic solid-acted upon by a magnetic field perpendicular to their plane of contact. The displacement suffered by solid medium has been determined when a tangential force, exponentially decaying with time, acts in the plane of contact of the two media. A plane strain model for dynamic soil-structure interaction problems under harmonic state is presented. The boundary element method is used to study the response of a homogeneous isotropic linear elastic soil. The far field displacement at the free surface is approximated by an outgoing Rayleigh wave. The finite element method is used to describe the response of the building, of the foundation and possibly of a finite part of the inhomogeneous non-linear soil. Two coupling procedures are described. The model is applied to a problem previously studied in the antiplane case. Incident P, SV and Rayleigh waves are considered. The results show an amplification and an attenuation of the structure motion with frequency when incident Rayleigh waves and P, SV body waves are respectively considered.  相似文献

常见弹性波动理论的建立是基于介质均匀这一基本假设,实际介质的非均匀性非常普遍.为研究连续介质中波的传播特征,本文从弹性力学中建立弹性波动方程的三个基本方程出发,考虑连续介质弹性参数的空变特征,建立非均匀介质的弹性波动方程,利用Alkhalifah声学近似思想建立位移表征的纵波波动方程,利用本征值问题求解方法建立标量波频率-波数域传播算子,从而建立描述纵波传播的标量波方程,其中波函数为纵波位移的散度,不同于均匀介质标量波方程的波函数为位移势.随后推导含PML边界波动方程差分格式并建立不同模型数值模拟进行数值试算,与均匀假设标量波方程和变密度方程对比证明本方法的准确性和稳定性.  相似文献

Summary An attempt is made to study the dynamic response of a thick, homogeneous isotropic elastic sphere under the action of uniformly distributed internal and external pressure distributions which vary sinusoidally with time. An exact solution of the problem is obtained with the aid of the Laplace transform method and the theory of residues. Some main properties of the radial vibration field are examined. Summary An initial value investigation is made of the transient development of dispersive long waves on a homogeneous rotating shallow ocean generated by an arbitrary steady or oscillatory wind stress disturbances. The significant effect of the rotation on these long waves is examined. The solution of the problem related to physically realistic wind stress distributions is obtained with physical implications. The principal features of the wave motions are explored. In place of complicated Green's function technique, the problem is solved by the generalized Fourier transform and the Laplace transform methods combined with the asymptotic techniques. In most previous studies on the dynamic response of a long cylindrical cavity subjected to internal transient dynamic loads, the porous medium was usually assumed to be completely saturated by ground water. In practice, however, the full saturation condition does not always exist. In this paper the surrounding soil and the lining of the cavity are respectively treated as a nearly saturated porous medium and an elastic material, and the governing equations for the dynamic problem are derived. A set of exact solutions are obtained in the Laplace transform domain for three types of transient loads, i.e. suddenly applied constant load, gradually applied step load and triangular pulse load. By utilizing a reliable numerical method of inverse Laplace transforms, the time-domain solutions are then presented. The influence of the degree of saturation of the surrounding soil on the dynamic response of the lined cavity is examined for numerical examples.  相似文献
