An alternative floating system for an offshore airport and other reclamation works is presented. It consists of precast boxes filled with FRP hollow spheres which sit on pile system. A top slab system consisting of precast and cast in situ concrete slabs will make the whole system monolithic. The light weight but strong spheres will enable the system to make use the uplift force from water. The precast boxes and slab system will transfer the difference between the gravity and uplift forces, as well as any lateral forces to the pile system. The feasibility of construction of a pile-based offshore airport in open sea is considered. The concept of a pile-based airport relies on technology used to construct long concrete bridges, over sea arms and straits, during the last four decades. The features of four major bridges, in conjunction with prefabrication of prestressed structural elements, are described. The airport platform, which is set 16 m above sea level, obviates the need for protective embankments. The platform consists of modular units, supported by piers, which are based on foundations of steel piles. The modular units comprise tube girders, 35–60 m long, set on piers 15 m apart. Longer girder spans are expected to diminish the impact of the airport on the coast. Cost estimates are provided for a pile-based offshore airport serving medium haul aircraft, using 45×15 m2 and 60×15 m2 grids, and long haul aircraft, using 60×15 m2 grids. Cost comparison with a fill island airport is provided using two different geometries. It is shown that the pile-based airport is a viable option, both technologically and economically. This new concept provides advantages over the fill island option regarding the requirement of materials, technology of construction, the modular approach and the diminished environmental impact. 相似文献

沉箱预制时在沉箱底部四个角各放置一个木盒,该木盒经防腐处理,一面作为牵引孔、朝外、不封、其余五面用木板封住。木盒上面预留一个直径15㎝朝上的销钉孔,放置销钉。放置木盒时需与周边钢筋留有至少8㎝以上的钢筋混凝土保护层,浇筑混凝土时在销钉孔放置圆形预埋件。沉箱出运时以钢丝绳扣为拉鼻,通过销钉孔利用大直径圆钢作为销钉固定钢丝绳,牵引机将拖运牵引力传给沉箱,带动沉箱前移。 相似文献

Although submarine cable in-line seafloor observation systems are very effective tools for real-time/long-term geo-scientific measurements,, there are technological difficulties for deploying as many sensors as on land. To solve this problem, JAM-STEC developed an expandable and replaceable satellite measurement station called the adaptable observation system (AOS). The AOS is a battery operated mobile observatory connected to the backbone cable system by a 10 km long thin fiber cable to ensure real-time data recovery. The system consists of a branching system, a junction box, a fiber cable, and a battery system for a six-month operation. Installation and construction of the AOS will be conducted by a towed vehicle and an ROV. A thin fiber cable-laying system was developed and tested for practical operation. On the motions of the underwater remotely operated vehicle with the umbilical cable effect 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper, a hydrodynamic model is developed to simulate the six degrees of freedom motions of the underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) including the umbilical cable effect. The corresponding hydrodynamic forces on the underwater vehicle are obtained by the planar motion mechanism test technique. With the relevant hydrodynamic coefficients, the 4th-order Runge–Kutta numerical method is then adopted to solve the equations of motions of the ROV and the configuration of the umbilical cable. The multi-step shooting method is also suggested to solve the two-end boundary-value problem on the umbilical cable with respect to a set of first-order ordinary differential equation system. All operation simulations for the ROV including forward moving, ascending, descending, sideward moving and turning motions can be analyzed, either with or without umbilical cable effect. The current effect is also taken into consideration. The present results reveal that the umbilical cable indeed significantly affects the motion of the ROV and should not be neglected in the simulation. 相似文献

A numerical method for the dynamic simulation of towed cables is presented. The cable is loaded by fluid drag, tension, gravity and buoyancy, including the effects of weights and floats. The development of a cable can be simulated as well as the separation of a cable under excessive load and the subsequent behavior of the broken parts. The system is constructed from a set of generic elements representing such items as cable or rope strands, knots (reference points on rope sections), kinks (sliding reference points on cable sections that change length), cable ends and winches. A mathematical graph organizes these elements in a general and flexible fashion: it allows construction of complex systems and permits structural redefinition during the simulation. The nodes of the graph coincide with the various reference points of the problem, at which physical parameters are lumped and to which sets of ordinary differential equations are associated that define the motions of the points. The links of the graph describe the physical connections between the nodes. Application of new methods for solving stiff, sparse systems of coupled ordinary differential equations enables efficient simulation of snap-loads and other severe events. Results are presented that compare quantitatively with laboratory measurements. A further example shows the behavior of a breaking cable that is qualitatively reasonable. 相似文献

This paper analyses nonlinear dynamics of cable towed body system. The cable has been modeled and analyzed using a new nodal position finite element method, which calculates the position of the cable directly instead of the displacement by the existing finite element method. The newly derived nodal position finite element method eliminates the need of decoupling the rigid body motion from the total motion, where numerical errors arise in the existing nonlinear finite element method, and the limitation of small rotation in each time step in the existing nonlinear finite element method. The towed body is modeled as a rigid body with six degrees of freedom while the tow ship motion is treated as a moving boundary to the system. A special procedure has been developed to couple the cable element with the towed body. The current approach can be used as design tool for achieving improved directional stability, maneuverability, safety and control characteristics with the cable towed body. The analysis results show the elegance and robustness of the proposed approach by comparing with the sea trial data. 相似文献

为进一步完善海南国际旅游岛的交通基础设施,三亚市政府提出在红塘湾海域进行填海,用于机场及附属设施建设。而伴随着海南国际旅游岛和自由贸易试验区国家战略的稳步推进,三亚将重点保护和优化具有品牌效应的标志性景观地区。本研究运用空间视线分析及实景模拟分析法,分析三亚新机场填海工程对周边三个标志性滨海景区,即南山文化旅游区、天涯海角风景区、鹿回头风景区的景观特征影响。分析结果认为:填海建设机场将对三亚重要滨海景观资源造成较大自然和人文冲击。自然景观方面,项目填海占据了南山文化旅游区和天涯海角风景区较大的视觉范围,大尺度的直线人工岛及大体量的人工设施将改变整体环境的"自然"特征。人文景观方面,天涯海角风景区的"天地尽头"景观意象受影响大,直接破坏"天之涯""海之角"陆海分界、海阔天空的意象;建成后噪音、灯光将破坏南山文化旅游区的肃静和庄严感,南海观音也将面临灯光、噪音的日夜干扰;对于鹿回头景区,"前无去路"的内涵将受到影响。建议项目用海评估论证应纳入区域景观影响的内容,结合区域发展定位和战略需求,对新机场填海工程的可行性进行全方位论证。 相似文献

A numerical approach for predicting motion and tension of extensible marine cables during laying operations in a rough sea is presented here. The solution methodology consists of dividing the cable into straight elements, which must satisfy an equilibrium equation and compatibility relations. The system of nonlinear differential equations is solved by the Runge–Kutta method, taking the effect of regular and/or irregular waves into account explicitly.
Illustrative applications of the method are given for a typical cable laying ship. The results are presented as rms values of the cable dynamic tension and corresponding dynamic factor for two different types of cable and several values of cable stiffness. The effect of axial deformation on the maximum tension at the shipboard pulley location is highlighted. 相似文献

Towed cable systems are frequently used in marine measurements where the length of the towed cable varies during launch and recovery. In this paper a novel method for modeling variable length cable systems is introduced based on the finite segment formulation. The variable length of the towed cable is described by changing the length of the segment near the towing point and by increasing or decreasing the number of the discrete segments of the cable. In this way, the elastic effects of the cable can be easily handled since geometry and material properties of each segment are kept constant. Experimental results show that the dynamic behavior of the towed cable is consistent between the model and the physical cable. Results show that the model provides numerical efficiency and simulation accuracy for the variable length towed system. 相似文献

This paper presents a methodology for making decisions based on uncertain information through the use of an analytical feasibility study of an airport island in the North Sea as an alternative to the present inland airport, Amsterdam Schiphol, in The Netherlands. The multidisciplinary project, called Flyland, quantified several conflicting aspects, including uncertainties, for each of five alternative locations for the new airport. The methodology combines the Analytic Hierarchy Process and Monte Carlo approaches and allows comparison of the alternatives on the basis of their morphological and ecological effects. The resulting scores rank the alternatives and quantify the distinctions between them by taking uncertainties into account. We found that with respect to morphology and ecology, it is most favourable to keep the Dutch national airport inland. The methodology can easily be extended to include other factors and reflect a wider range of multidisciplinary aspects (costs, accessibility, environmental aspects) of the airport island location. 相似文献

In situ observations of the movement of a current meter attached to a long cable system of a drifting research vessel are discussed. A method is suggested which allows the cable configuration to be restored using measurement data on tangent orientation with respect to the given points. The compiled data indicate that the elements of the cable system shift by dozens of metres with a speed of the order of tens of cm per second. These shifts account for about 90% of the estimated value of current velocity energy pulsations in the frequency band corresponding to the proper frequency oscillations of the current meter and of the vessel's roll and-and-pitch motions.Translated by V.
