南极格罗夫山普通球粒陨石的岩石学和矿物学特征及分类   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
从南极格罗夫山地区回收的11个陨石均具有球粒结构,确定为普通球粒陨石。研究了这些陨石的岩相学特征和矿物化学特征,进行了化学群-岩石类型的划分。结果表明,在所研究的11个普通球粒陨石中,4个为H群,6个为L群,1个为LL群。其中GRV 020010(LL3)和GRV 021481(H3)的两个陨石是稀少的、在我国尚末见过的非平衡普通球粒陨石。进行了陨石磁化率的测试,初步探讨了磁化率在陨石化学群分类中的作用。  相似文献

中国第15次南极考察队于1999年元月在格罗夫山实施首次考察时回收了四块陨石,填补了我国南极陨石回收的空白。根据国际陨石协会命名委员会新回收陨石的命名原则,这些陨石已分别命名为GRV98001,GRV98002,GRV98003和GRV98004。根据初步岩石、矿物以及全岩化学分析,这四块陨石分别属于石质球粒陨石(GRV98001),L5型球粒陨石(GRV98002),H4型球粒陨石(GRV98004)和极细粒八面体缺陨石(GRV98003)。  相似文献

继1998~2000年我国第15、16次南极科考队在南极格罗夫山发现32块陨石之后,2002~2003年第19次科考队成立了以回收陨石为中心任务的格罗夫山综合考察分队,在同一地区成功回收4448块陨石。我国的南极陨石回收工作不但实现了零的突破,而且成为继日本和美国之后拥有南极陨石数量最多的国家之一。通过对第15、16次队回收的32块陨石以及第19次队4448块陨石中的38块代表性样品的化学一岩石类型划分工作,除平衡型普通球粒陨石外,发现了2块火星陨石、2块橄辉无球粒陨石、6块非平衡L3型陨石、4块碳质球粒陨石和1块非平衡型顽辉石球粒陨石等特殊类型陨石。本文主要介绍了南极陨石的回收和研究进展,以及我国在南极格罗夫山回收陨石的情况和已取得的初步研究成果。同时对我国今后的陨石回收与研究工作提出初步设想。  相似文献

Three new carbonaceous chondrites (GRV 020025,021579 and 022459) collected from the Grove Mountains (GRV), Antarctica, have been classified as the CM2, CO3 and CV3 chondrites, respectively. A total of 27 Ca- and Al-rich inclusions have been found in the three meteorites, which are the earliest assemblages formed in the solar nebula. Most of the inclusions are intensively altered, with abundant phyllosilicates in the inclusions from GRV 020025 and FeO enrichment of spinel in those from GRV 022459. 在南极格罗夫山普通球粒陨石的风化等级划分中出现了和Wlotzka(1993)标准矛盾的现象。部分普通球粒陨石的金属和陨硫铁氧化不足20%,然而硅酸盐却发生了蚀变。如果考虑金属的氧化量,这种风化程度应为W1,如果考虑硅酸盐的蚀变,这种风化程度应为W5。对于存在如此大的差异本文给出了折衷的解决办法——对金属和硅酸盐同时进行风化等级划分。金属的风化等级划分为W_m0-W_m4五个,硅酸盐风化等级划分为W_s0-W_s3四个。依据新方案,GRV 021588、021636、021772和021957等4块无法用Wlotzka(1993)标准来确定风化等级的陨石的风化等级均为W_m1-W_s1。而陨石GRV 023312的风化等级为W_m3-W_s0,其相当于Wlotzka(1993)标准中的W3。  相似文献

Although acapulcoites and lodranites played a key role in understanding partial differentiation of asteroids, the lack of samples of the chondritic precursor limits our understanding of the processes that formed these meteorites. Grove Mountains (GRV) 020043 is a type 4 chondrite, with abundant, well-delineated, pyroxene-rich chondrules with an average diameter of 690 μm, microcrystalline mesostasis, polysynthetically striated low-Ca pyroxene, and slightly heterogeneous plagioclase compositions. Similarities in mineralogy, mineral composition, and oxygen isotopic composition link GRV 020043 to the acapulcoite-lodranite clan. These features include a high low-Ca pyroxene to olivine ratio, high kamacite to taenite ratio, and relatively FeO-poor mafic silicates (Fa10.3, Fs10.4) relative to ordinary chondrites, as well as the presence of ubiquitous metal and sulfide inclusions in low-Ca pyroxene and ƒO2 typical of acapulcoites. GRV 020043 shows that evidence of partial melting is not an essential feature for classification within the acapulcoite-lodranite clan. GRV 020043 experienced modest thermal metamorphism similar to type 4 ordinary chondrites. GRV 020043 suggests a range of peak temperatures on the acapulcoite-lodranite parent body similar to that of ordinary chondrites, but shifted to higher temperatures, perhaps consistent with earlier accretion. The mineralogy and mineral compositions of GRV 020043, despite modest thermal metamorphism, suggests that most features of acapulcoites previously attributed to reduction were, instead, inherited from the precursor chondrite. Although partial melting was widespread on the acapulcoite-lodranite parent body, ubiquitous Fe,Ni-FeS blebs in the cores of silicates were not implanted by shock or trapped during silicate melting, but were inherited from the precursor chondrite with subsequent overgrowths during metamorphism.  相似文献

富尖晶石球粒状CAI(富Ca-Al难熔包体)是球粒陨石中一种特殊类型的CAI,在南极格罗夫山碳质球粒陨石GRV020025和GRV021579中共发现两个富尖晶石球粒状CAI———GRV020025-3RI8和GRV021579-3RI5。GRV020025-3RI8具有占统治地位的尖晶石,在球粒的最外边存在严重蚀变的不规则边,钙钛矿主要分布在靠近边的位置。与GRV020025-3RI8比较,GRV021579-3RI5的尖晶石中的钙钛矿消失,深绿辉石出现,薄薄的蚀变层位于尖晶石核和富钙辉石边之间。两个富尖晶石球粒状CAI的尖晶石均具有低含量FeO和ZnO的特征,而且GRV021579-3RI5具有较GRV020025-3RI8更高的TiO2含量。岩石学和矿物化学特征表明,GRV020025-3RI8和GRV021579-3RI5都经历过熔融结晶过程,它们的蚀变均发生在非氧化的含水或无水的环境中。  相似文献

Bulk compositions of metallic Fe-Ni from two equilibrated ordinary chondrites, Jilin (H5) and Anlong (H5), and two unequilibrated ones, GRV 9919 (L3) and GRV 021603 (H3), were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The CI-, Co-normalized abundances of siderophile and chalcophile elements of metallic Fe-Ni from the unequilibrated ordinary chondrites correlate with 50% condensation temperatures (i.e., volatility) of the elements. The refractory siderophile elements (i.e., platinum group elements, Re), Au, Ni and Co show a flat pattern (1.01×CI Co-normalized), while moderate elements (As, Cu, Ag, Ga, Ge, Zn) decrease with volatility from 0.63×CI (Co-normalized, As) to 0.05×CI (Co-normalized, Zn). Cr and Mn show deficit relative to the trend, probably due to their main partition in silicates and sulfides (nonmagnetic). Metallic Fe-Ni from the equilibrated ordinary chondrites shows similar patterns, except for strong deficit of Cr, Mn, Ag and Zn. It is indicated that these elements were almost all partitioned into silicates and/or sulfides during thermal metamorphism. The similar deficit of Cr, Mn, Ag and Zn was also found in iron meteorites. Our analyses demonstrate similar behaviors of W and Mo as refractory siderophile elements during condensation of the solar nebula, except for slight depletion of Mo in the L3 and H5 chondrites. The Mo-depletion of metallic Fe-Ni from GRV 9919 (L3) relative to GRV 021603 (H3) could be due to a more oxidizing condition of the former than the latter in the solar nebula. In contrast, the Mo-depletion of the metallic Fe-Ni from the H5 chondrites may reflect partition of Mo from metal to silicates and/or sulfides during thermal metamorphism in the asteroidal body.  相似文献

The concentration of Pd in 7 carbonaceous chondrites, 18 ordinary chondrites, 3 achondrites, 29 iron meteorites and other samples has been determined by stable isotope dilution using solid source mass spectrometry. The Cl chondrite Orgueil gives a ‘cosmic’ abundance for Pd of 1.5 (Si = 106 atoms), in good agreement with the currently accepted value.The concentration of Pd shows little variation among the carbonaceous chondrites, but in ordinary chondrites decreases from the H to L to LL groups. Pd in achondrites is approx 100 times lower than in chondrites. Data for iron meteorites plot around the ‘cosmic’ PdNi ratio; however the Pd data falls into distinct groups, corresponding to the chemical group classification. These results support the hypothesis that at least two fractionation processes have occurred during the formation of iron meteorites.  相似文献

We classified five new ordinary chondrites from North West Africa. NWA 3010 is an L6(S5), NWA 3011 is an L5(S5), NWA 3012 is an LL4(S5), NWA 3013 is an L5(S5), and NWA 3014 is an H4(S1). The meteorites experienced a range of terrestrial alteration, with NWA 3010 equal to weathering grade W2, NWA 3011 equal to W3, NWA 3012 equal to W3, NWA 3013 equal to W2, and NWA 3014 equal to W4.  相似文献

Grove Mountains (GRV) 99018 is a new eucrite (0.23 g), consisting mainly of pyroxene (50.5 vol%) and plagioclase (37.2 vol%) with minor silica minerals (7.0 Vol%) and opaque minerals (5.2 vol%). It was intensely shocked, leading to partial melting, formation of abundant tiny inclusions in pyroxenes and plagioclase, and heavy brecciation. Exsolution of most pyroxenes (1-3μm in width of the lamellae), recrystallization of the shpck-induced melt pockets and veins (5-20μm in size), and homogeneous compositions of pyroxenes of  相似文献

本文研究了2个富钙长石-橄榄石型包体和2个富黄长石-尖晶石型和富尖晶石-辉石型包体(分别来自宁强和南极格罗夫山碳质球粒陨石)的矿物岩石学特征,并对它们进行了对比。富钙长石-橄榄石型包体的矿物模式组成具有富橄榄石和缺失黄长石的特征,其可能是球粒和典型难熔包体之间的中间产物,是认识它们之间相互关系的钥匙。矿物岩石学特征表明富黄长石-尖晶石型和富尖晶石-辉石型包体可能是星云直接凝聚的产物,而富钙长石-橄榄石型包体经历过熔融结晶过程。富钙长石-橄榄石型包体的初始物质可能是富Al的球粒或含难熔组分的蠕虫状橄榄石集合体。矿物化学组成对比研究发现,GRV 022459-RI6中的尖晶石具有最富FeO的特征,表明包体的蚀变可能发生在高氧逸度的星云环境。  相似文献

Neutron activation analysis was used to determine As, Au, Bi, Cd, Co, Cu, Ga, In, Sb, Se, Te, Tl and Zn in 11 samples representing 9 chondrites of grades E4–6. These chondrites exhibit systematic intra- and inter-grade differences particularly for highly-variable elements, the differences being E4 ? E3 > E6 ? E5. The abundance pattern for these 13 and an additional 16 elements in E3-6 chondrites differs from those of other primitive meteorites—the carbonaceous and unequilibrated ordinary chondrites. A search for statistically-significant interelement relationships among the 13 elements (for grades E4–6) reveal that 40 elementpairs are linearly and/or exponentially correlated. Similar consideration of data for 37 elements in 12 chondrites (grades E3–6) reveals that 191 element-pairs exhibit such relationships, 170 involving linear and/or exponential correlations, the remainder involving anti-correlations. The patterns depicting these relationships—i.e. the correlation profiles—and elemental abundance patterns, factor analysis and two-element correlation diagrams are consistent with all enstatite chondrites representing a single evolutionary sequence. The primary process responsible for the chemical trends of these chondrites involved thermal fractionation accompanied by geochemical fractionation of sulfide-plus-metal from silicate, probably during condensation and accretion of solid material from the solar nebula. Chalcophile elements may have been fractionated during condensation or, after accretion, during thermal metamorphism in the parent body. No genetic model proposed thus far accounts for the detailed chemical trends, although the constrained equilibrium theory and two-component condensation theories qualitatively seem most satisfactory. The correlation profiles of enstatite, carbonaceous and unequilibrated ordinary chondrites are distinctly different, pointing to major differences in the formation conditions of these different sorts of primitive meteorites.  相似文献

Total N has been measured in a number of meteorites by neutron activation analysis using the reaction N14(n, p)C14. From each meteorite a number of chips have been analysed to investigate the variation of N contents in a sample. Many meteorites are found to contain a heterogeneous distribution of N. Eighteen chondrites, mostly of the classes C3, H4, H5, L4, L5, L6 and LL6, and six achondrites are found to have average N contents of 10–45 ppm. These do not show any clear-cut dependence of N on petrological group. However, the inherent heterogeneity or the fact that from most meteorite classes only single falls were studied might be responsible for this lack of correlation. In Cold Bokkeveld (C2) N is high (420 ppm). Unlike C, N content of ureilites is low (26 ppm). Nitrogen is enriched in the non-magnetic as compared to the magnetic fractions in H-group chondrites. Analyses of sieved Bjurböle phases show no enrichment of N in finer matrix material, nor any depletion in chondrules. In two gas-rich meteorites, Kapoeta and Assam, there is no excess N in the dark phases. Nine iron meteorites and three mesosiderites were analysed. Twenty analyses of Canyon Diablo and seven of Odessa establish a very heterogeneous N distribution in these meteorites.  相似文献

The compositions and textures of phases in eleven equilibrated ordinary chondrites from the H, L, and LL groups spanning petrographic types 4-6 were studied and used to constrain the thermal histories of their parent bodies. Based on Fe-Mg exchange between olivine and spinel, average equilibration temperatures for type 4-6 chondrites encompass a small range, 586-777 °C, relative to what is commonly assumed for peak temperatures (600-950 °C). The maximum temperatures recorded by individual chondrites, which are minima relative to peak metamorphic temperatures, increase subtly but systematically with metamorphic type and are tightly clustered for H4-6 (733-754 °C) and LL4-6 (670-777 °C). For the Ls, Ausson (L5) records a higher maximum olivine-spinel temperature (761 °C) than does the L4 chondrite Saratov (673 °C) or the L6 chondrite Glatton (712 °C). Our data combined with olivine-spinel equilibration temperatures calculated for other equilibrated ordinary chondrites using mineral compositions from the literature demonstrate that, in general, type 4 chondrites within each chemical group record temperatures lower than or equal to those of types 5-6 chondrites.For H chondrites, the olivine-spinel closure temperature is a function of spinel grain size, such that larger grains, abundant in types 5-6 chondrites, record temperatures of ∼740 °C or more while smaller grains, rare in types 5-6 but abundant in type 4 chondrites, record lower temperatures. Olivine-spinel temperatures in the type 6 chondrites Guareña and Glatton are consistent with rapid (50-100 °C/Myr) cooling from high temperatures in the ordinary chondrite parent bodies. With one exception (∼500 °C/Myr), olivine-spinel data for St.-Séverin (LL6) are consistent with similar cooling rates. Cooling rates of order 100 °C/Myr at ∼750 °C for type 6 chondrites are considerably higher than previously determined cooling rates for lower temperatures (?550 °C) based on metallography, fission tracks, and geochronology. For H chondrites, current thermal models of an “onion shell” parent body are inconsistent with a small range of peak temperatures based on olivine-spinel and two pyroxene thermometry combined with a wide dispersion of cooling rates at low temperatures. Equilibrated chondrites may have sampled regions near a major transition in physical properties such as near the base of a regolith pile.  相似文献

40Ar/39Ar年龄谱是研究陨石冲击事件的重要资料。根据对55块陨石40Ar/39Ar冲击年龄和陨石暴露年龄的分析,发现陨石的冲击年龄与陨石类型之间存在对应关系。据此,将陨石冲击事件划分为九期。其中3900-4000Ma、470-540Ma和小于65Ma是陨石母体的三个重要演化阶段。阶段Ⅰ、Ⅱ和Ⅲ(冲击年龄大于30亿年)主要涉及高钙型无球粒陨石。所有球粒陨石的冲击年龄均小于30亿年。陨石暴露年龄因类型而异,铁陨石最大,石铁陨石次之,石陨石最小。  相似文献

A New Martian Meteorite from Antarctica:Grove Mountains (GRV) 020090   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15  
Reported in this paper are the petrology and mineral chemistry of GRV 020090, the second Martian meteorite collected from the Grove Mountains, Antarctica. This meteorite, with a mass of 7.54 g, is completely covered by a black and glazy fusion crust. It has two distinct textural regions. The interstitial region is composed of euhedral grains of olivine, pigeonite, and anhedral interstitial maskelynite, with minor chromite, augite, phosphates and troilite. The poikilitic region consists of three clasts of pyroxenes, each of which has a pigeonite core and an augite rim. A few grains of subhedral to rounded olivine and euhedral chromite are enclosed in the pyroxene oikocrysts. GRV 020090 is classified as a new member of lherzolitic shergottites based on the modal composition and mineral chemistry. This work will shed light on the composition of Martian crust and magmatism on the Mars.  相似文献

Acid-resistant residues were prepared by HCl-HF demineralization of three H-type ordinary chondrites: Brownfield 1937 (H3), Dimmitt (H3,4), and Estacado (H6). These residues were found to contain a large proportion of the planetary-type trapped Ar, Kr, and Xe in the meteorites. The similarity of these acid residues to those from carbonaceous chondrites and LL-type ordinary chondrites suggests that the same phase carries the trapped noble gases in all these diverse meteorite types. Because the H group represents a large fraction of all meteorites, this result indicates that the gas-rich carrier phase is as universal as the trapped noble-gas component itself. When treated with an oxidizing etchant, the acid residues lost almost all their complement of noble gases. In addition, the Xe in at least one oxidized residue, from Dimmitt, displayed isotopic anomalies of the type known as CCFX or DME-Xe, which is characterized by simultaneous excesses of both the lightest and heaviest isotopes. The anomaly in the Dimmitt sample differs from that observed in carbonaceous-chondrite samples, however, in the relative proportions of the light- and heavy-isotope excesses.The results of this study do not show an inverse correlation between trapped 20Ne36Ar and trapped 36Ar abundance, as has been reported for acid-resistant residues from LL-chondrites. The results of this work therefore fail to support the hypothesis that meteoritic trapped noble gas abundances were established at the time of condensation.  相似文献

撞击作用发生在太阳系形成和演化的所有阶段,是最基本的地质过程之一.陨石可以从微观尺度记录下这些重要的过程.在所有陨石族群中,L 群普通球粒陨石保留了最完备的冲击变质记录,对撞击发生的时间、冲击过程中的物理条件提供了重要制约.矿物学证据表明,在太阳系形成 100 Ma 内,L 群陨石母体可能发生一次撞击裂解事件,并在随后重组.4. 48 Ga左右,原始小行星带经历大范围的撞击作用,这一事件也记录于L群普通球粒陨石中,可能是由月球大撞击事件溅射的大量碎屑进入到原始主小行星带引起.约800 Ma,包括L群陨石母体在内的内太阳系部分天体经历了同时期撞击事件,可能由这一时期裂解的大质量小行星产生的溅射物引发.L群陨石母体在~465 Ma发生撞击裂解,这一事件在 L 群陨石中保留了丰富的矿物学、年代学记录,并在地球全球奥陶纪地层发现相关信息.综合与该事件相关的所有L群陨石冲击变质特征,本文认为该裂解事件是由一颗大直径(18~22 km)石陨石质小行星,以较低速率(5~6 km/s)撞击导致.同位素年代学数据表明,L 群普通球粒陨石母体很可能未受到晚期大撞击事件的影响,这难以用L群陨石母体过小予以解释.可能的原因有:① L群普通球粒陨石母体在原始主小行星带分布非常有限,导致其受到晚期大撞击事件影响的概率不高;② 晚期大撞击事件对原始主小行星带的影响可能并没有之前估计的那么严重,一个持续时间更长但更加温和的撞击模型更加符合现阶段的观察.  相似文献
