A discussion of statistical methods used to estimate extreme wind speeds   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Summary Wind speeds in extra-tropical latitudes are known to be approximately Weibull distributed. Hence a Weibull distribution fitted to all available data is often used to predict extreme winds. The most extreme values then, however, have little influence on the estimated parent Weibull distribution, and the accuracy of the extreme value predictions obtained in this manner may be questioned. In the present paper such a “Weibull method” is compared to a method based on statistical extreme value theory, “the annual maxima method”. The comparison is based on 30 years of 10 minute wind speed averages measured hourly at 12 meteorological stations located at airports in Sweden. Results show that the Weibull method generates incorrect estimates of the tails of the distributions of wind speeds and of the distribution of yearly maximum wind speed, and that serial dependence of individual measurements has to be taken into account. In addition, it is inherent in the Weibull method that it does not provide any confidence bounds for the estimates. The annual maxima method avoids these problems. The measurements were rounded, first to entire knots, and then to m/s. A further, “technical”, result is that if this rounding were disregarded in the estimation procedure, then the computed standard errors of the parameter estimates would be erroneously low. Hence, if rounding is done, it should be taken into account in the estimation procedure. We also believe this to be a clear indication that rounding of the data decreases estimation accuracy.  相似文献

利用额济纳旗1960—2017年9月21日—10月31日气象资料,分析了最佳观赏期内人体舒适度指数、温湿指数、风寒指数、着衣指数、旅游气候舒适度。结果表明,近58 a来,研究区平均气温和最低气温呈上升趋势,相对湿度和风速呈减小趋势;胡杨林景区最佳观赏期人体舒适度指数、温湿指数、旅游气候舒适度指数呈上升趋势,风寒指数、着衣指数呈下降趋势;旅游气候舒适度、人体舒适度指数、温湿指数均与平均气温、最低气温呈极显著正相关关系,与风速呈极显著负相关关系,风寒指数、着衣指数分别与平均气温、最低气温呈极显著负相关关系,与风速呈极显著正相关关系(P0.01),气温升高是人体舒适度和旅游气候舒适度变化的主导因子。  相似文献

以安徽省56个国家级气象站1980—2018年年最大风速序列为研究对象,采用基于三参数Weibull分布的变点检验方法对年最大风速序列均一性进行检验,以郎溪站数据为例,给出了检验和分析的具体过程,最后将该方法检验结果与PMFT法、SNHT法检验结果进行了对比分析。结果表明:56个站点的年最大风速序列均通过Weibull分布检验,而通过正态分布检验的年最大风速序列只有45个,表明年最大风速序列更符合Weibull分布;Weibull法检测出的18个非均一点中有15个得到印证,检验准确率为83.3%,PMFT法检测出的4个非均一点均由迁站造成,检验准确率为100%,SNHT检测出的20个非均一点中有15个得到印证,检验准确率为75%。造成序列非均一的主要原因是台站迁移、仪器换型、仪器高度调整和探测环境变化等;综合比较发现,PMFT法对年最大风速序列非均一点的敏感程度不如Weibull和SNHT,而SNHT法对待检序列要求较高,且检验准确率不及Weibull法,表明Weibull方法在年最大风速序列的均一性检验中更具有优势。  相似文献

A physically based wind-erosion climatic factor has been derived: $$CE = \rho \int {[u^2 } - (u_T^2 + \gamma ^l /\rho a^2 )]^{3/2} f(u)du$$ where ? is the air density, a is a constant made up of other constants (von Karman, height of wind speed observation, roughness parameter), u is the horizontal wind speed, u T is threshold wind speed, f(u) u) is a wind speed probability density function, and γ is the cohesive resistance caused by water on the soil particles. Cohesive resistance is proportional to the square of water content relative to water content at ?1500 J kg?1. Relative water content is approximated from the Budyko dryness ratio and the Thornthwaite PE index with similar results. CE is calculable from wind speed and other generally available meteorological data, and is usable in the wind erosion equation without some of the limitations of a previously used wind erosion climatic factor.  相似文献

An estimate of roughness length is required by some atmospheric models and is also used in the logarithmic profile to determine the increase of wind speed with height under neutral conditions. The choice of technique for determining roughness lengths is generally constrained by the available input data. Here, we compare sets of roughness lengths derived by different methods for the same site and evaluate their impact on the prediction of the vertical wind speed profile.Wind speed and direction data have been collected at four heights over a three-year period at the North Norfolk Wind Monitoring Site. Wind speed profiles were used to generate sector roughness lengths based on the logarithmic profile formula. This is the only direct way of determining roughness lengths. The simplest and cheapest method is to use maps with published tables giving roughness length estimates for different terrain types. Alternatively Wieringa (1976, 1986) and Beljaars (1987) give formulae for determining roughness lengths from wind speed gusts or standard deviations.The four sets of estimated roughness lengths vary considerably. They were used to estimate 34 m wind speeds from 12.7 m observations. The profile-derived roughnesses are used simply as a check on the prediction of the wind speed profiles. The terrain-derived roughness lengths give reasonable results. Gust-derived and standard deviation roughnesses both predict wind speeds which are lower than the observed ones. The error is greater in the case of standard deviation roughnesses. If stability corrections are applied in the prediction of the vertical wind speed profile, the results are considerably improved.  相似文献

卫星反演海面风场资料能够弥补海上气象测风资料缺乏的不足,对近海风能资源评估具有重要意义。通过ASCAT(Advanced Scatterometer)风速数据与美国及中国近海岸浮标测风资料的对比分析,结果表明,ASCAT风速的均方根误差为1.27 m·s-1。比较利用近海岸浮标逐小时风速及与其相匹配ASCAT瞬时风速计算的各项风能参数,得出ASCAT与浮标的平均风速和风功率密度的残差分别在±0.5 m·s-1和±50 W·m-2以内,该残差占浮标计算结果的比例分别在±8%和±12%以内。使用ASCAT风速资料拟合的Weibull分布函数与浮标的结果较吻合。因此,ASCAT风速资料也能够为海上风能资源评估提供有用的风能参数信息。最后使用ASCAT瞬时风速数据分析了中国近海10 m及70 m高度处的风能资源的空间分布特征,结果表明,台湾海峡平均风速和风功率密度最大。  相似文献

风能始源于大气的运动,具有很大的随机性和间歇性。风速预测是风电场风功率预测的基础,其准确性具有重要的意义。对于复杂地形条件下,风速的预报一直是各国研究的难点和重点。为了提高风电场短期风速预报的准确性,本研究采用多种边界层参数化方案来集成预报风速,将各单一边界层参数化方案预报的风速及相应的实测风速数据,应用随机森林算法建立集成预报模型,对风电场的短期风速进行集成预报研究。试验结果表明,采用集成预报风速方法,预报的风速误差相比于单一边界层参数化方案预报的风速误差明显减小,对研究区域的风速、风向等气象要素有着较好的模拟效果,能够有效提高风速预报的准确率。  相似文献

风能是一种重要气候资源,随着我国风电规模的迅速增大,发展风能资源评估系统和风功率预测系统已成为一项重要的研究内容。国内外对复杂地形风场结构的数值模拟有大量研究,随着计算机能力增强,以往用于空气动力学精细流场计算的计算流体力学(Computational Fluid Dynamics,CFD)模式越来越多地在气象领域得到应用,人们开始研究用中尺度预报模式和CFD模式结合进行复杂地形风场的数值模拟。本文的耦合模式系统采用中尺度气象模式(WRF),通过嵌套网格到内层尺度(一般是几公里),然后通过耦合CFD模式Fluent软件获得高分辨率(水平30~100 m,垂直150 m高度以下10 m)的风速分布资料,得到精细化的风场信息。通过对鄱阳湖北部区域和云南杨梅山复杂地形的风场模拟,提供了风能评估和预报的一种可行的方法。  相似文献

Summary ?A statistical analysis of wind speed and direction data for five selected meteorological stations at the Cyprus coast, is carried out in this study. Daily, monthly and annual variations of wind speed are established. The Weibull distribution statistics of the sites are also determined. In addition, an attempt is made to find the sea-breeze circulation effects in the same wind data. The wind statistics obtained are expected to serve as a validation test for wind energy applications, mainly along the southeastern coastline. 风力发电在提供清洁能源的同时亦带来了一定程度的水土流失和生态环境破坏。特别是山地风电场,由于其所在的山区土壤抗蚀性低,且植被破坏后恢复难度大,在开发过程中引起的水土流失问题尤为突出。回顾了山区风电场水土流失特点、影响风电场水土流失关键因子等方面的相关研究成果,并对其进行了总结。山区风电场水土流失具有地域不完整性及扰动多样性的特点,道路施工区、风电机组建设区是水土流失的重点区域;水土流失呈现时空分布不均性特点,水土流失时段主要集中在施工期,且流失剧烈阶段主要发生在每年的降雨集中期;降雨是影响风电场水土流失的关键因子,滑坡稳定性系数在降水期间急剧下降,降水入渗作用促进了边坡变形破坏向不利的一面发展,容易引起水土流失及边坡不稳;降雨侵蚀力指标与降雨量及雨强有关,按照获取气象资料的不同,目前主要采用月降雨量及日降雨量来分别估算降雨侵蚀力;在进行山区风电场水土流失强度预测时,将整个预测区域划分为4~6个单元,确定各预测单元工程扰动前、施工期、扰动后的土壤侵蚀模数,采用类比法结合数学模型法预测造成的水土流失量。  相似文献

This study conducted meteorological simulations in northern Colombia by analyzing different planetary boundary layer (PBL) schemes available in the numerical Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. The study area included three nested domains with horizontal resolutions of 18 km, 6 km, and 2 km, with 38 vertical levels. The evolution and structure of the PBL were analyzed during the driest months (March, April, and May 2016) and in regions with the highest particulate matter concentrations. Sensitivity analysis of the WRF model was performed with two local and two non-local PBL schemes. The results were validated using observations of the surface air temperature, relative humidity, and surface wind speed collected from three meteorological stations in the area. The PBL heights were experimentally determined using radiosonde data provided by a station located in the center of the study area. Variations in PBL heights were estimated using linear regression methods and minimization of statistical errors for the bulk Richardson number, as well as analysis of vertical temperature and wind profiles. The WRF model reliably reproduced the daily values and diurnal cycles of temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed within the PBL and accounted for the influence of topography and sea breezes. Horizontal heat advection dominates the upwelling of air masses when sea breezes are active. The onshore wind direction starts to change from east to northwest, implying a decay in the land breeze regime. All schemes overestimate the mixing height and tend to underestimate surface air temperature values at night. All show wetter conditions and underestimate wind speed. Although the non-local Yonsei University (YSU) scheme shows the best performance, it also shows the largest sources of errors when determining the behavior of the surface layer during stable conditions. Relative humidity and wind speed estimates provided by the local Mellor‐Yamada‐Nakanishi‐Niino (MYNN) scheme were closer to those recorded at the meteorological stations.  相似文献

Crop residue effects on aerodynamic processes and wind erosion   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
Summary This study focuses on both the mechanisms and degree of wind erosion control that various residue levels provide. First, scale parameters of Weibull wind-speed distributions at meteorological stations were modified to predict friction velocity distributions at eroding field sites. Simplified erosion prediction equations then were used to evaluate wind erosion on highly erodible, loose, sandy soils. Parameters for the erosion prediction equations were developed from wind tunnel data on soil loss and threshold friction velocities at various residue levels. Erosion-control mechanisms of flat residue include restricting soil emission from the surface and increasing threshold wind speeds. A minimum of 30 to 60 percent flat cover is needed to provide adequate control on highly erodible sands. The control level by flat residue can be increased by using short fields. Erosion-control mechanisms of standing residue include reducing the soil-surface friction velocity and intercepting saltating soil. Standing residue is more effective than flat residue, and 5 percent vertical silhouette area of standing residue per unit horizontal area provides adequate erosion-control in low and moderate wind regimes.Contribution from USDA, ARS in cooperation with Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station, Contribution Number 95-41-J.With 6 Figures  相似文献

利用塔克拉玛干沙漠腹地塔中气象站2009-2018年的地面观测资料,细致解析塔中地区的风蚀起沙特征,所得结论如下:(1) 临界起沙风速表现出明显的季节变化特征,夏季>春季>秋季>冬季, 塔中地区的临界起沙风速介于4.47-4.92 m/s,日最大值出现09:00-10:00时。(2) 春夏季是沙尘的多发季节。春、夏季,沙尘水平通量的平均值分别为2638.9 kg/m和3298.9 kg/m,起沙持续时间的平均值分别为291.5 h和336.7 h。(3) 风蚀起沙事件更容易发生在白天, 沙尘水平通的最大值出现在10:00-11:00,起沙持续时间的最大值出现在10:00-13:00。(4)风蚀起沙事件在春季主要集中在偏东方向,在夏季主要集中在偏北方向上。  相似文献

为了解决区域自动气象站的风向传感器、风速传感器的检测难题,设计出一种新型便携式风向风速传感器检测仪。该检测仪通过上位机软件和单片机来实现智能检测和控制等功能,工作时由单片机对步进电机驱动器编程可控制步进电机的精确定位,进而精确控制风向传感器的转动角度或风速传感器的转动速度,将传感器输出值与步进电机的标准值进行对比,最终实现自动化检测风向传感器、风速传感器计量性能的目的。通过与现有检测方法对比,结果显示其精确度更高,稳定性更好;该检测仪体积小、重量轻、操作简单便于携带、集合了风向检测功能和风速检测功能;能有效地解决野外区域自动气象站的现场检测难题。  相似文献

风速预报是风力发电研究中的关键问题,也是一个十分困难的问题,其预测、评估技术还有待进一步提高.在预测短期风力(提前48~72 h对每小时的风速进行预测)时,通常采用数值天气预报模型进行预测.然而,初始扰动和模式物理过程的不确定性会影响气象数值预报的精度.将为数值天气预报模式提出一种新的后处理优化方法作为主要的思路,利用数据挖掘得到的关联规则来优化气象数值预报的结果,在中尺度模式WRF对风电场风速进行预报的基础上,将模式预测与统计分析及智能优化算法相结合,针对中国风电场的气候特征,利用一种新的修正模式误差的方法,极大地提高了风电场风速预报精度,提出了适合中国风力发电场的有效风速预报系统方案.  相似文献

Variations in extreme wind speed over the European part of the Arctic are studied from the data of meteorological observations, reanalysis, and modeling based on the INM CM4 climate model. It is demonstrated that the extremes determined from the observational data are a mixture of two datasets well simulated by the Weibull distribution. According to the special metaphoric terminology, they are called “black swans” and “dragons.” The analysis of extreme wind speeds based on the reanalysis and INM CM4 data demonstrated that they consist of “black swans” only. This important fact indicates that the models (at least those with medium horizontal resolution) are not able to simulate some essential circulation mechanisms causing the formation of significant anomalies of wind speed. Hence, the problem of direct identification of wind speed extremes based on the atmospheric modeling remains open.  相似文献

用MM5模式对2 0 0 1年4月1 7~1 9日、5月1 2~1 5日辽宁省出现的大风过程进行了模拟,并与1 3个代表点的气象观测站资料或野外风电场测风资料作了对比。结果表明:模式能较好地模拟区域风场的演变和分布特征;对逐时风速的模拟与实况有一定差异,但模拟值与实况变化比较同步,基本反映出单点风速变化的趋势;对瞬时风速大于1 0m·s-1和平均风速大于9 0m·s-1的模拟明显偏小。模拟试验初步说明,MM5模式对区域地面风场形势、单点风速随时间变化特征的模拟较好,但可能减弱大风的实际强度。  相似文献

本工作旨在风电场已初选,并有一至几个月的短期测风资料为前提的情况下,研究出一种有较先进的方法、较高的精度、较快的速度推算场址风能参数的模式。由于风能是风速立方的函数,因此,习惯上用寻求两地风能参数相关的订正方法误差较大。这次工作立足于先订正原始风速及标准差,再用这两参数推算各风能参数。经计算比较,选择全概率公式订正风向风速,再用差值法订正标准差,最后用韦伯尔公式计算风能参数。风电场选址时风向风速都应该考虑,因此,选择各风向均出现的时段作考察月为好。比较结果发现,9、10、11月作为考察期准确性较高。  相似文献

风灾是北京地区玉米减产的一个重要因素,是影响玉米产量最常见的一种气象灾害,严重的风灾可造成玉米绝收。为实现对玉米风灾造成损失的定量评估,利用收集到的历史上出现的玉米风灾及产量损失数据,结合自动气象站观测资料,分析了风灾发生过程中对玉米产量损失影响显著的气象因子,最终确定选取玉米受灾过程中的最大风速的最大值、持续时间内的最大风速的平均值、最大风速持续时间和过程降水量4个气象因子,并考虑到玉米不同生育期抗风能力的不同,增加了玉米生育期影响因子,利用这5个要素,运用统计学方法建立了北京地区玉米风灾损失定量评估统计模型。通过对样本数据的拟合及剩余样本的检验,建立的定量损失评估模型具有一定的准确性和实用性,可为政策性农业保险的定损,以及生产部门确定风灾损失及保险公司理赔提供科学依据。  相似文献
