Fourier-based algorithms originally developed for the processing of seismic data are applied routinely in the Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data processing, but these conventional methods of data processing may result in an abundance of spurious harmonics without any geological meaning. We propose a new approach in this study based essentially on multiresolution wavelet analysis (MRA) for GPR noise suppression. The 2D GPR section is similar to an image in all aspects if we consider each data point of the GPR section to be an image pixel in general. This technique is an image analysis with sub-image decomposition. We start from the basic image decomposition procedure using conventional MRA approach and establish the filter bank accordingly. With reasonable knowledge of data and noise and the basic assumption of the target, it is possible to determine the components with high S/N ratio and eliminate noisy components. The MRA procedure is performed further for the components containing both signal and noise. We treated the selected component as an original image and applied the MRA procedure again to that single component with a mother wavelet of higher resolution. This recursive procedure with finer input allows us to extract features or noise events from GPR data more effectively than conventional process.To assess the performance of the MRA filtering method, we first test this method on a simple synthetic model and then on experimental data acquired from a control site using 400 MHz GPR system. A comparison of results from our method and from conventional filtering techniques demonstrates the effectiveness of the sub-image MRA method, particularly in removing ringing noise and scattering events. Field study was carried out in a trenched fault zone where a faulting structure was present at shallow depths ready for understanding the feasibility of improving the data S/N ratio by applying the sub-image multiresolution analysis. In contrast to the conventional methods, the MRA sub-image filtering technique provides an overall improvement in image quality of the data as shown in the field study.  相似文献

An alternative data processing procedure is proposed in this paper for the purpose of enhancing the signal/noise (S/N) ratio of ground penetrating radar (GPR) data. The processing methodology is achieved by performing the logarithmic transform in conjunction with the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD), a new nonlinear data analysis method in signal processing. The synthetic model study and field example indicate that the logarithmic transform is effective in alleviating the attenuation problem. Additionally, the spectrogram obtained from Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) shows that the decomposition sensitivity of the EEMD method is greatly improved with the aid of the logarithmic transform. This new method allows us to extract the signal components from noisy GPR data efficiently. The success of this study suggests a possible nonlinear analysis application in future GPR investigation, particularly in the filter design and gain correction.  相似文献

Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a powerful tool for detecting defects in and behind reinforced concrete (RC) structures. However, the traditional way of interpreting GPR data involves considerable manpower and is time-consuming. The aim of this study is to illustrate a new approach to recognize GPR images of RC structure voids automatically. Firstly, synthetic GPR images are created by FDTD method. As multiple waves caused by steel bars seriously interfere with the target echo signals, it is difficult to identify targets from the forward modeling images. According to the periodicity of multiple waves from steel bars, the predictive deconvolution method is used to suppress those waves and the outcome is preferable. Then, the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm is proposed to automatically recognize voids in GPR images. The automatic identification procedure includes four steps: 1) collecting training data, 2) extracting features from GPR images, 3) building the SVM model and 4) identifying the voids automatically. The results show that the proposed method provides a suitable tool to locate the cover depths and lateral ranges of the voids, and the trained SVM model gives a favorable outcome when noise (no more than 5%) is added to a synthetic GPR image.  相似文献

本文讨论了射线追踪法实现二维地电断面的探地雷达图像的正演合成问题,其中包括二维地电断面的数字拟合、多层连续界面介质中高频电磁波的反射与透射统一的运动学边界方程;根据Huygen's-Fresnel原理导出了均匀介质中二维管状体模型的衍射雷达波的计算公式;给出了用射线追踪法合成的二维地电模型的探地雷达图像;用衍射波公式合成了二维管状模型的雷达图像,并与物理模拟作了比较.在此基础上,用Kirchhoff积分法对数字模拟与物理模拟记录的雷达图像作了偏移处理,并给出了实例.  相似文献

采用质量脆弱性评价方法检测地震区绿色施工建筑钢结构时,易受噪声的干扰,且检测深度较浅,未能全面检测钢结构的损坏情况。提出综合BIM结合表面图像分析的钢结构无损检测方法,使用小波分解方法对建筑钢结构的检测图像进行去噪处理,通过膨胀与腐蚀处理增强检测图像的清晰度,采用红外图像技术,依据缺陷边缘处检测图像恢复的变化率,通过旋转跟踪法依次提取缺陷边缘,构建基于BIM的地震区绿色施工建筑钢结构检测模型,全面掌控地震区绿色建筑钢结构的材料、无损检测以及管理等过程,管控建筑钢结构全寿命周期,完成建筑钢结构的无损检测。实验结果表明,所提方法有效检测率为100%,检测深度高达1 499 mm,且检测结果的相对误差仅有0.000 7%。  相似文献

机载探地雷达可以用于人类无法到达的危险地区、植被严重覆盖的地下目标体探测,然而由于机载探地雷达的特殊性,影响机载探地雷达探测效果的因素包括天线的极化方向、天线的飞行高度以及地表粗糙度等.为了研究这些影响因素与探测效果之间的关系,用三维时间域有限差分模拟电磁波的传播过程,以沙漠地区地下空洞掩体的机载探地雷达探测为实例,分别模拟了不同天线极化方向、天线高度及地表粗糙度情况下的机载探地雷达剖面,分析了各因素对机载探地雷达探测地下空洞目标体的影响.天线极化方向与目标体走向垂直更有利于地下目标体探测;天线距离地表越近,可以获得更高分辨率的雷达剖面;沙漠地表起伏越大,雷达剖面中的散射杂波能量越强,浅部地下目标体信号容易被掩盖.为了消除起伏地形造成的散射杂波,提出用逆时偏移成像技术对共炮集机载探地雷达数据进行偏移成像,成像结果优于基尔霍夫偏移成像结果.  相似文献

多震源混合地震采集技术,即将多个震源以一定编码方式连续地激发,得到多炮混合的地震数据.该技术能减少地震采集时间,节约采集成本,但是混合数据的直接偏移会在成像剖面中引入严重的串扰噪声,影响成像效果.从数学上看,地震成像属于典型的数学物理反问题,可以采用线性反演方法求解一个正则化约束的最小二乘(LS)优化问题,获得更高质量的成像结果.全变分(TV)正则化方法是图像去噪和复原领域中广泛应用的热点技术,其能在去除噪声的过程中保留图像的边缘信息和不连续性.在对TV图像去噪复原方法原理分析的基础上,本文将多震源混合数据直接偏移成像问题转换成图像复原的极小化能量泛函问题,用TV正则化代替传统最小二乘偏移(LSM)中的L2范数正则化,提出基于全变分原理的混合数据直接偏移方法.该方法使用基于梯度的快速迭代收缩阈值与快速梯度投影组合算法——FISTA/FGP求解最优化问题,能有效压制串扰噪声,增强同相轴连续性,提高成像分辨率.理论模型测试结果表明:将本方法应用于混合数据,无论是去噪效果还是成像精度都得到显著改善.  相似文献

近年来,探地雷达(GPR)凭借其快速、高效、无破损等特点,已经广泛应用于浅地层目标探测中.数值模拟是研究探地雷达电磁波在地下结构中传播规律的有效手段.辛算法是一种保持Hamilton系统总能量不变的时域数值计算方法.本文提出了基于一阶显式辛分块龙格库塔方法的探地雷达数值模拟方法.通过对比本文算法与时域有限差分方法计算结果可知,在同等计算精度下,本文算法可以节省25%的计算时间.并基于本文算法对两个复杂GPR模型进行正演模拟,得到模拟GPR探测wiggle图,这有助于更好的理解和分析实测雷达数据.  相似文献

不规则地震数据会对地震多道处理技术的正确运行造成不良影响,降低地震资料的处理质量。本文将广泛用于图形图像重建的凸集投影方法应用到地震数据重建领域,实现规则样不规则道缺失数据的插值重建。对于整道缺失地震数据,将POCS迭代重建过程由时间域转移到频率域实现,避免每次迭代都对时间做正反Fourier变换,节约了计算量。在迭代过程中,阈值参数的选择方式对重建效率有重要影响。本文设计了两种阈值集合模型进行重建试验,试验结果表明:在相同重建效果下,指数型阈值集合模型可以有效减少迭代次数,提高重建效率。此外,分析了POCS重建方法的抗噪性能和抗假频性能。最后,理论模型和实际资料处理效果验证了本文重建方法的正确性和有效性。  相似文献

地质雷达是利用电磁波对地下不同电性介质进行探测的地球物理仪器,其探测速率快、分辨率高,可弥补探槽和其他地球物理方法存在探测盲区的缺陷,正在越来越多地应用于活动断层探测领域。本文以乌拉山山前断裂为例开展地质雷达探测工作,使用无人机正射影像技术对测线进行地形校正,获得断层浅部地质雷达图像。研究结果表明,本文研究方法能有效反映探槽揭露的地层单元和断层分布。本次探测中,雷达波形图像特征为:浅地表的土壤层反射波总体较弱;粗粒沉积为主的砾石层反射波总体较强,同相轴连续性好;细粒沉积为主的砂层反射波弱于砾石层,波形以中、高频为主,同相轴具有弱连续性;对于洪冲积地区,地质雷达能分辨具有一定特征的地层单元,这为剖面图像的断层识别提供了标志;通过无人机正射影像技术对地质雷达测线进行地形校正,有利于获得更为准确的探测结果。  相似文献

In this paper we deal with an indirect measure of the dielectric permittivity of the soil starting from GPR surface data collected on a buried “cooperative” target, meant as an object buried on purpose and whose extent is known a-priori. This target is exploited in order to achieve, from its image obtained from a suitable GPR data processing, an indirect measure of the dielectric permittivity of the embedding soil. GPR data processing is based on a linear microwave tomographic approach funded on the Born Approximation. Using this Born approach on two-dimensional inversion tests, we investigate the effect of the soil's electrical conductivity and permittivity on this indirect measure and demonstrate that the electrical field scattered by a spot-like buried object permits an accurate estimation of the soil permittivity even when no information of the soil conductivity is available.  相似文献

The upper 30 cm of the soil profile, which hosts the majority of the root biomass, can be considered as the shallow agricultural root zone of most temperate crops. The electromagnetic wave velocity in the soil obtained from reflection hyperbolas in ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data can be used to estimate soil moisture (SM). Finding shallow hyperbolas in a radargram and minimizing the subjective error associated with the hyperbola fitting are the main challenges in this approach. Nevertheless, we were motivated by the recent improvements of hyperbola fitting algorithms, which can reduce the subjective error and processing time. To overcome the difficulty of finding very shallow hyperbolas, we applied the hyperbola fitting method to reflections ranging from 27- to 50-cm depth using a 500-MHz centre-frequency GPR and compared the estimated moisture with vertically installed, 30-cm-long time-domain reflectometry (TDR) sensors. We also compared TDR and GPR sample areas in a 2-D plane using different GPR survey types and different hyperbola depths. SM measured with TDR and GPR were not significantly different according to Mann–Whitney's test. Our analyses showed that a root mean square error of 0.03 m3 m−3 was found between the two methods. In conclusion, the proposed method might be suitable to estimate SM with an acceptable accuracy within the root zone if the soil profile is fairly uniform within the application depth range.  相似文献

An important problem of marble-quarry management is assessing the quality and the homogeneity of quarry blocks before excavation. In this study, we decided to image the limestone, which we studied in a marble quarry, in terms of layer thickness, discontinuities and cavities using the ground-penetrating-radar (GPR) method. The method was successfully applied to detect and map the fractures with the cavities in a marble layer according to depth in the Ankara City Polatli Town (Turkey) region, which represents upper Miocene–Pliocene lacustrine carbonate rocks.This paper is based on interactive transparent 3D visualisation of the 2D GPR profiles to determine changes in layer thickness and discontinuities. In addition, this paper indicates the importance of the appropriate opacity-function construction to obtain transparent 3D visualisation. Firstly we acquired and processed parallel 2D GPR profile data, then we assigned two different amplitude–colour ranges using a limited number of colours to determine the layer thickness and its discontinuities separately. We obtained a 3D volume using parallel 2D GPR data and displayed a limited amplitude range by arranging an opacity function. Therefore, we obtained transparent 3D blocks for thickness and discontinuities, and we formulated an interactive 3D display to image the horizontal, vertical and inclined discontinuities and their directions in the xy plane versus depth. The GPR results were compared with the petrographical investigation on the basis of textural and mineralogical compositions. The vesicular textures within carbonate platform were supported by the GPR results.  相似文献

Optimal electromagnetic wave propagation velocities and subsurface images for ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data can be specified by using an imaging scanning method. In addition to time-migrating the unmigrated GPR section, we remigrate the already time-migrated section by a one-step remigration operator using different velocities. This creates many time-migrated images for different constant migration velocities. In this way, the computation time for time-migration is very much reduced. Time-migrated reflector images `propagate' when the constant migration velocity is continuously changed. For this `propagation' there exists a wave-equation-type partial differential equation. Each time-migrated section can thus be viewed as a snapshot for a certain migration velocity. The time-migrated reflector images behave like `waves', called image waves. This is applied to real GPR data acquired over a concrete body within which a steel cable frame is buried. The method produces a quick velocity scan to find a reliable migration velocity leading to the best time-migrated image.  相似文献

无单元Galerkin法采用滑动最小二乘法拟合场函数,只需节点无需单元,具有前处理简单、精度高、解高次连续等优点,被用于求解探地雷达(GPR)正问题.本文从Maxwell方程出发,推导了GPR正演需满足的波动方程;详细介绍了滑动最小二乘法形函数的构造方法.针对EFGM不满足插值条件导致强加边界条件的处理变复杂的特性,采用罚因子法对强加边界条件进行了处理;同时为了消除EFGM进行GPR正演模拟时来自截断边界处的超强反射,采用透射边界条件把GPR波在截断边界处的反射波透射出去,进而压制了来自截断边界处的反射波.然后,编制了EFGM的GPR正演模拟Matlab程序,应用该程序对典型GPR地电模型进行了正演模拟,并把该正演剖面图与基于线性插值FEM正演剖面图进行了对比,结果表明了EFGM用于GPR正演计算的正确性及有效性,并且在相同节点数条件下,EFGM比矩形剖分的FEM的精度要高,更有利于指导雷达剖面的数据解译.  相似文献

针对Cole-Cole频散介质中的复介电常数是jω的分数次幂函数,传统的时域有限元法难以离散及计算时间域分数阶导数,本文采用Pade逼近算法将含有时间分数阶导数的Cole-Cole频散介质电磁波方程推导为一组整数阶辅助微分方程,提出了一种适用于Cole-Cole频散介质的GPR有限元正演模拟算法.在复数伸展坐标系下,通过在频率域Cole-Cole频散介质电磁波方程中引入2个中间变量,并将其变换到时间域,从而以变分形式将PML边界条件加载到Cole-Cole频散介质GPR有限元方程组中,并给出了详细的求解公式.在此基础上,编制了基于Pade逼近的Cole-Cole频散介质GPR有限元正演程序,利用该程序对均匀模型进行计算,并与解析解进行对比,验证了本文构建的GPR有限元正演算法的正确性和有效性.设计了一个复杂Cole-Cole频散介质GPR模型,利用本文构建的GPR有限元正演算法进行模拟并与非频散介质模型的模拟结果进行对比,分析了电磁波在Cole-Cole频散介质中传播衰减增强、子波延伸,分辨率降低等传播规律,有助于实测雷达资料更可靠、更准确的解释.模拟结果表明,基于Pade逼近的GPR有限元正演算法可用于复杂Cole-Cole频散介质结构模拟,且具有较高的计算精度.  相似文献
