Using a sequential procedure of undrained cyclic and post cyclic tests, the strength and stiffness degradation characteristics of compacted composite clays are studied immediately after various cyclic loading paths by triaxial and hollow cylinder tests. The effects of cyclic loading paths, sand contents, cyclic loading amplitude and confining pressure on the post-cyclic mechanical behavior of the composite clays are evaluated. The results point out different peculiarities which can be of interest in assessing the mechanical behavior of the composite clays under post seismic shaking. The results show that effect of cyclic loading on post cyclic pore water pressure build-up is significant when pore water pressure build-up is considerably lower than the associated value in monotonic loading. The effect of sand content and cyclic loading path on degradation of stiffness is more remarkable than shear strength. Test results also reveal that the effect of sand content on the post cyclic pore water pressure build-up is minor. However, when the aggregate content increases the shear strength increases.  相似文献

为了研究土体结构破坏对软黏土一维变形的时效特性的影响,在Bjerrum的等时间线体系基础上,提出了等黏塑性应变率线等黏塑性应变率线概念,建立了非结构性软黏土的一维弹黏塑性模型;为了描述土体结构渐进破坏特征,定义了结构性参数--结构应变,在非结构性模型的基础上推导了结构性软黏土一维弹黏塑性模型;讨论了通过试验法直接确定模型参数的方法,并利用新建模型对温州天然软黏土的一维常规压缩试验、天然Ariake 黏土的分级快速固结试验、结构性Berthierville黏土的一维等应变率压缩试验及长期蠕变试验进行模拟。模拟与试验结果的对比表明,该模型能较好地描述结构性软黏土一维压缩变形的时效特征。  相似文献

在3种不同围压下进行了一系列重塑粉质黏土的静三轴和动-静三轴不排水剪切试验,得到了不同动应力水平条件下粉质黏土的孔压、动应变和不排水剪切强度值。通过对土样的不排水强度、孔压和动应变的无量纲化处理,确定了周期荷载作用后粉质黏土的不排水强度比与动载引起的孔压比和动应变比之间的相关关系。试验结果表明:粉质黏土在周期荷载作用后的不排水强度衰减程度取决于动载引起的动应变比值和孔压比值。当周期荷载引起的动应变比值小于0.1时,孔压比增长较快,土样的不排水强度几乎没有衰减;当动应变比大于0.1时,孔压比增长变慢,土样的不排水强度明显衰减;当动应变比值接近1时,孔压比值达到0.9,土样的不排水强度衰减程度约达到55 %  相似文献

通过循环三轴剪切试验,研究原状软土的变形和孔压发展规律。建议了一个循环荷载作用下孔隙水压力的发展模式。研究了不排水循环荷载作用下软土的动强度以及作用后饱和软土静强度的衰减特征,讨论了周围固结压力和荷载作用频率对动强度的影响。研究表明,在某一轴向应变条件下,循环次数随循环剪应力比的增加而迅速减小;随循环剪切应力比的增大,饱和软土的静强度有一定衰减。  相似文献

The cyclic behavior of soil–structure interface can be very important in dynamic problems. The cyclic behavior of soil–structure interface may be nonlinear, which includes hysteresis, hardening, degradation, and particle breakage. The breakage of granular soil particles during shearing of granular soil–structure interface is associated with cyclic degradation and can be critical to the dynamic behavior of soil–structure system. The critical state soil mechanics concept formerly used to simulate the nonlinear monotonic behavior of granular soil–structure interface was modified and extended to describe the cyclic behavior, especially soil‐particle breakage and degradation during cyclic shearing. Soil‐particle breakage was assumed to relate to the energy consumption during cyclic shearing and the critical state line of the soil–structure interface was assumed to translate with the consumption of shearing energy during cyclic shearing as the threshold value is attained. The model was formulated in the framework of generalized plasticity and is capable of describing the salient features of granular soil–structure interface under cyclic loading. Most of the model parameters have straightforward physical meanings and are calibrated using monotonic or cyclic interface test results. The proposed model was calibrated and validated against published test results. 在波浪循环荷载作用下饱和软黏土地基出现孔隙水压力升高,并导致不排水强度弱化,严重影响防波堤的承载性能。考虑静偏应力影响,基于最大孔隙水压力发展模型和正常固结软黏土不排水强度公式,推导出软黏土不排水强度随循环荷载作用次数和应力水平变化的动态折减规律。结合软黏土不排水强度动态折减规律和M-C屈服准则,在有限元软件ABAQUS上实现软黏土不排水强度循环弱化分析的数值开发和动力运算过程。运用该动力有限元方法对天津港防波堤地基软黏土的动、静三轴试验进行数值模拟运算。结果表明,最大孔隙水压力发展曲线以及循环荷载作用后不排水强度的数值预测结果与动三轴试验结果吻合良好。另外,动力有限元方法(DFEM)能够表示土体强度在循环荷载作用下的具体弱化过程。  相似文献

为了获得上海软土在循环动力荷载作用下的动力特性,特别是动剪切模量的衰减规律,采用原状第④层上海软土进行等向固结不排水动三轴试验,分析了加载频率和动应力比 对动剪切模量的影响。试验结果表明,对于上海第④层软土,动应力比达到0.2时,土样才发生破坏;土样的剪切模量-累积轴应变曲线不受加载频率和动应力比的影响;剪切模量的衰减下降主要发生在轴应变0~1%区间。最后提出了一个描述剪切模量衰减规律的数学模型。  相似文献

采用大型动三轴试验仪进行重塑高岭土试样的循环三轴试验,试样直径为300 mm,高度为600 mm。圆柱体试样中心放置了一块竖向排水板,在循环加载试验进行时和结束后都可进行径向排水。试验结果验证了径向排水可以有效地消散循环荷载引起的孔隙水压力。通过结合径向固结理论与不排水循环加载土体模型,提出了一个循环荷载作用下径向固结模型,用来描述在允许径向排水的情况下软黏土在循环荷载作用下的孔压累积特性。模型中考虑了应力历史和孔隙水压力消散对孔隙水压力生成的影响,并用大型循环三轴试验结果进行验证。研究发现,当施加较大循环荷载时,径向排水减缓了孔隙水压力累积到临界值的速率,因而土体在破坏前可以经历更多次的循环荷载;当施加中等循环荷载时,径向排水可有效阻止孔隙水压力增长至临界值。除此之外,还研究了加载间歇期对孔压累积特性的影响,结果显示3组循环加载结束后,累积孔隙水压力开始减小,表明之后更多的循环加载并不会引起孔隙水压力的累积增长。  相似文献

In dynamic geotechnical problems, soils are often subjected to a combination of sustained static and fast cyclic loading. Under such loading conditions, saturated and normally consolidated clays generally experience a build-up of excess pore water pressure along with a degradation of stiffness and strength. If the strength of the soil falls below the static stress demand, a self-driven failure is triggered. In this paper, a constitutive model is presented for the analysis of such problems, based on a general multisurface plasticity framework. The hardening behavior, the initial arrangement of the surfaces, and the nonassociated volumetric flow rule are defined to capture important aspects of cyclic clay behavior. This includes nonlinear hysteretic stress-strain behavior, the effect of anisotropic consolidation, and the generation of excess pore water pressure during undrained cyclic loading along with a degradation of stiffness and strength. The model requires nine independent parameters, which can be derived from standard laboratory tests. A customized experimental program has been performed to validate the model performance. The model predictions show a good agreement with test results from monotonic and cyclic undrained triaxial tests, in particular with respect to the strain-softening response and the number of loading cycles to failure. A procedure for a general stress-space implicit numerical implementation for undrained, total stress-based finite element analyses is presented, including the derivation of the consistent tangent operator. Finally, a simulation of the seismic response of a submarine slope is shown to illustrate a possible application of the presented model.  相似文献

研究表明,循环载荷作用下饱和黏土将发生软化,其机制主要有两个:一是孔压的积累;二是土体原有结构的不断损伤和新结构的不断重塑。针对上述机制,基于广义各向同性硬化准则建立了考虑饱和黏土循环软化的损伤单面模型。该模型在有效应力空间中引入损伤变量,表征土体结构的损伤和重塑程度,在连续的循环加载下,损伤不断累积,边界面则随着损伤的累积不断收缩,以模拟饱和黏土刚度和强度的软化;以应力反向点作为边界面的广义各向同性硬化中心和映射法则的映射中心,灵活地选择塑性模量的插值公式以模拟塑性变形和孔压的累积以及应力-应变的滞回特性。应用该模型对不排水循环三轴试验进行模拟,并且考查了循环周次、循环应力水平和固结历史对饱和黏土循环软化特性的影响,并与相关试验比较,验证了模型的有效性。  相似文献

This paper presents a kinematic hardening model for describing some important features of natural stiff clays under cyclic loading conditions, such as closed hysteretic loops, smooth transition from the elastic behavior to the elastoplastic one and changes of the compression slope with loading/unloading loops. The model includes two yield surfaces, an inner surface and a bounding surface. A non-associated flow rule and a kinematic hardening law are proposed for the inner surface. The adopted hardening law enables the plastic modulus to vary smoothly when the kinematic yield surface approaches the bounding surface and ensures at the same time the non-intersection of the two yield surfaces. Furthermore, the first loading, unloading, and reloading stages are treated differently by applying distinct hardening parameters. The main feature of the model is that its constitutive equations can be simply formulated based on the consistency condition for the inner yield surface based on the proposed kinematic hardening law; thereby, this model can be easily implemented in a finite element code using a classic stress integration scheme as for the modified Cam Clay model. The simulation results on the Boom Clay, natural stiff clay, have revealed the relevance of the model: a good agreement has been obtained between simulations and the experimental results from the tests with different stress paths under cyclic loading conditions. In particular, the model can satisfactorily describe the complex case of oedometric conditions where the deviator stress is positive upon loading (compression) but can become negative upon unloading (extension).  相似文献

非饱和黏土的结构性能够显著影响其力学特性。基于非饱和土经典模型BBM(Barcelona basic model)和一种可描述循环塑性的硬化法则,引入体积破损率的作为标准土体结构破损的参数,建立了一个描述常吸力下非饱和结构性黏土静态及动态力学特性的弹塑性双面模型。模型在应力空间中包含与重塑非饱和土屈服面几何相似的结构性边界面和加载面,采用径向映射法则和可移动的记忆中心原理,通过结构性边界面和加载面在应力空间中的演化来反映循环加载过程中非饱和结构性黏土的循环塑性特征和结构损伤过程。通过与相关非饱和黏土控制吸力试验数据的比较,表明该模型能够较好地反映静态加载下非饱和结构性黏土的力学特性,而模型预测的循环荷载下的应力?应变特征也具有一定的合理性。  相似文献

The critical state concept has been widely used in soil mechanics. The purpose of this study is to apply this concept in the framework of multi-mechanism elastoplasticity. The developed model has two yield surfaces: one for shear sliding and one for compression. In this model, the location of the critical state line is explicitly considered and related to the actual material density to control the peak strength and the phase transformation characteristics. The stress reversal technique is incorporated into the model for describing clay behavior under complex loading including changes of stress direction. The determination of the model parameters is discussed; it requires only one drained or undrained triaxial test up to failure with an initial isotropic consolidation stage. The model is used to simulate drained and undrained tests under monotonic loading with different over-consolidation ratios on various remolded and natural clays, including true triaxial tests with different Lode’s angles. Drained and undrained tests under cyclic loadings are also simulated by using the set of parameters determined from monotonic tests. The comparison between experimental results and numerical simulations demonstrate a good predictive ability of this new simple model.  相似文献

利用空心圆柱扭剪仪模拟斜入射地震波作用形成的斜椭圆应力路径,对比研究了等向固结条件下饱和福建标准松砂在循环斜椭圆、圆形、扭剪、三轴路径下的动力特性。试验研究表明:土体循环孔压发展存在陡升型和陡降型两种模式;圆形路径下累积孔压增长速率最快,循环扭剪最小;归一化孔压与斜椭圆的倾角无关,但受斜椭圆长短轴比及动应力比影响。砂土的不排水动强度与动应力路径密切相关,循环扭剪和循环三轴最大,循环斜椭圆次之,圆形路径最小。地震波从特定角度入射时,形成近似圆形路径,若只将地震波视为垂直入射的S波,将高估地基土体抗液化强度。  相似文献

通过开展红黏土中单桩轴向循环振动模型试验,研究不同循环荷载比和加载频率对桩长期动力特性的影响,从桩侧土剪切刚度和侧阻退化两方面出发,对循环荷载作用下桩顶累积沉降机制进行分析。在FLAC3D中,实现能够反映剪切刚度疲劳退化的修正Hardin-Drnevich(H-D)模型,并对常法向刚度(CNS)循环剪切下侧阻退化进行数值模拟。试验发现,循环荷载幅值是桩顶累积沉降变化的重要影响因素;桩顶动刚度在加载初期要先经历一个迅速降低的短暂过渡阶段,之后则不随振次的增加而改变;桩身振动在桩周土中引起的超孔压较小,有效应力的降低不足于使侧阻力发生较大程度的退化;随着加载速度的增大,桩顶动刚度和加速度均随之增大。采用修正H-D模型得到的理论滞回曲线与数值结果基本吻合,验证了程序编制的正确性。  相似文献

In thermal-related engineering such as thermal energy structures and nuclear waste disposal, it is essential to well understand volume change and excess pore water pressure buildup of soils under thermal cycles. However, most existing thermo-mechanical models can merely simulate one heating–cooling cycle and fail in capturing accumulation phenomenon due to multiple thermal cycles. In this study, a two-surface elasto-plastic model considering thermal cyclic behavior is proposed. This model is based on the bounding surface plasticity and progressive plasticity by introducing two yield surfaces and two loading yield limits. A dependency law is proposed by linking two loading yield limits with a thermal accumulation parameter nc, allowing the thermal cyclic behavior to be taken into account. Parameter nc controls the evolution rate of the inner loading yield limit approaching the loading yield limit following a thermal loading path. By extending the thermo-hydro-mechanical equations into the elastic–plastic state, the excess pore water pressure buildup of soil due to thermal cycles is also accounted. Then, thermal cycle tests on four fine-grained soils (natural Boom clay, Geneva clay, Bonny silt, and reconstituted Pontida clay) under different OCRs and stresses are simulated and compared. The results show that the proposed model can well describe both strain accumulation phenomenon and excess pore water pressure buildup of fine-grained soils under the effect of thermal cycles.

This paper presents a generalised critical state model with the bounding surface theory for simulating the stress–strain behaviour of overconsolidated structured clays. The model is formulated based on the framework of the Structured Cam Clay (SCC) model and is designated as the Modified Structured Cam Clay with Bounding Surface Theory (MSCC-B) model. The hardening and destructuring processes for structured clays in the overconsolidated state can be described by the proposed model. The image stress point defined by the radial mapping rule is used to determine the plastic hardening modulus, which varies along loading paths. A new proposed parameter h, which depends on the material characteristics, is introduced into the plastic hardening modulus equation to take the soil behaviour into account in the overconsolidated state. The MSCC-B model is finally evaluated in light of the model performance by comparisons with the measured data of both naturally and artificially structured clays under compression and shearing tests. From the comparisons, it is found that the MSCC-B model gives reasonable good simulations of mechanical response of structured clays in both drained and undrained conditions. With its simplicity and performance, the MSCC-B model is regarded as a practical geotechnical model for implementation in numerical analysis.  相似文献

碱渣是氨碱法制纯碱时排出的固体废弃物,经适当的加固处理后作为工程填垫土可以有效解决占地和污染问题。碱渣土的力学性质不稳定,在循环荷载作用下强度会发生明显弱化,导致承载力大幅降低。以天津港地区回填碱渣土为研究对象,开展了系列动三轴试验,以固结围压、动应力比和偏压固结比为试验变量,研究了不同应力组合下碱渣土中循环累积孔压发展规律以及循环后碱渣土不排水强度演化规律。基于等效超固结模型,引入强度弱化系数β,建立了考虑偏压固结比和动应力比影响的碱渣土循环强度弱化模型;引入强度提升系数α,建立了考虑偏压固结过程和循环加载过程耦合影响的碱渣土强度演化模型,并通过试验数据验证了模型的正确性。  相似文献

为探讨天津滨海新区典型结构性软土的动力特性,采用动三轴试验和压汞试验,对交通荷载作用下结构性软土微观结构变化进行了研究。取原状土和动荷载作用后的土样进行压汞测试,用分形理论对压汞测试数据进行分析,探讨孔隙分布特征,提出孔径划分的方法,给出了卓越频率与土体孔隙变化的规律。研究结果表明:在动荷载作用后,天津滨海新区典型软土的孔隙分布发生改变,可分为3种类型;利用Menger海绵模型研究交通荷载作用下结构性软土的孔隙分布特性是可行的;用孔隙分维数可实现对卓越频率的预测以及路基土体变形行为的机制分析。  相似文献
