通过对准噶尔盆地腹部陆西地区基底二叠系佳木河组-石炭系107个火山岩样品的全岩元素分析表明,其中38.7%属钙碱性系列,碱性系和强碱性系列占61.3%.该区火山岩不仅在纵向上分异、演化特征明显,在平面上也存在明显的分区分带性.研究表明,陆西地区火山岩喷发的构造环境具有岛弧体系特征,同时由于火山岩的主量元素和微量元素均具有明显的大陆稳定构造区派生的碱性火山岩特征,说明其岩浆源深度较大,可能为上地幔或洋壳物质在高等选择性熔融条件下形成.因此盆地腹部陆西地区火山岩的喷发环境应该是在岛弧发展后期,属于岛弧近大陆一侧、在地壳增厚的环境下喷发.  相似文献

Evidence is presented to show that the Tumut ‘greenstone’ occurrence is unlikely to be an example of Palaeozoic oceanic crust. First, new rare‐earth element analyses are unlike those obtained from oceanic tholeiites. Second, the published major‐ and trace‐element analyses of the metabasalts are not definitive of an oceanic magma type. Third, the juxtaposition of mafic volcanic rocks and ultramafic intrusives is not considered to be diagnostic of an oceanic crustal section. Fourth, the sulphide mineralization is not similar to that found in typical ophiolites such as those at Troodos in Cyprus.

In the light of the presently available data the basalts could have formed in a variety of environments including island‐arc, continental‐marginal or continental.  相似文献

通过对龙陵-瑞丽断裂与主高黎贡断裂夹持区内构造混杂岩进行地质填图和剖面研究,在原划的三叠纪扎多组中发现沿龙陵-瑞丽断裂带呈透镜状断续分布的中酸性火山岩,并获得LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb年龄130.0Ma±1.7Ma,首次证实滇西龙陵-瑞丽断裂带存在早白垩世火山岩。结合岩石学特征和地球化学特征判断该火山岩形成于岛弧环境,可能是早白垩世怒江洋闭合过程中岩浆活动的产物。  相似文献

The basement beneath the Junggar basin has been interpreted either as a micro-continent of Precambrian age or as a fragment of Paleozoic oceanic crust. Elemental and Sr–Nd–Pb isotopic compositions and zircon Pb–Pb ages of volcanic rocks from drill cores through the paleo-weathered crust show that the basement is composed mainly of late Paleozoic volcanic rock with minor shale and tuff. The volcanic rocks are mostly subalkaline with some minor low-K rocks in the western Kexia area. Some alkaline lavas occur in the central Luliang uplift and northeastern Wulungu depression. The lavas range in composition from basalts to rhyolites and fractional crystallization played an important role in magma evolution. Except for a few samples from Kexia, the basalts have low La/Nb (<1.4), typical for oceanic crust derived from asthenospheric melts. Zircon Pb–Pb ages indicate that the Kexia andesite, with a volcanic arc affinity, formed in the early Carboniferous (345 Ma), whereas the Luliang rhyolite and the Wucaiwan dacite, with syn-collisional to within-plate affinities, formed in the early Devonian (395 and 405 Ma, respectively). Positive εNd(t) values (up to +7.4) and low initial 87Sr/86Sr isotopic ratios of the intermediate-silicic rocks suggest that the entire Junggar terrain may be underlain by oceanic crust, an interpretation consistent with the juvenile isotopic signatures of many granitoid plutons in other parts of the Central Asia Orogenic Belt. Variation in zircon ages for the silicic rocks, different Ba, P, Ti, Nb or Th anomalies in the mafic rocks, and variable Nb/Y and La/Nb ratios across the basin, suggest that the basement is compositionally heterogeneous. The heterogeneity is believed to reflect amalgamation of different oceanic blocks representing either different evolution stages within a single terrane or possibly derivation from different terranes.  相似文献

大冰期的形成不仅需要气温低,而且需要大量海水转移到大陆上形成冰川。元古代晚期全球规模白云岩建造形成之后,火山作用在洋壳和陆壳上的表现大不相同:洋壳型火山作用是岩浆静静涌出,大量蒸发海水;陆壳型火山作用是猛烈爆发,烘烤碳酸盐岩层产生二氧化碳喷发形成“干冰制冷机制”,使大气降温。洋壳型火山与陆壳型火山共同作用形成大冰期。震旦纪大冰期后开始了显生宙。大冰期与生物的演化发展密切相关的原因是二氧化碳的大量介入。  相似文献

Velocities of a natural mid-ocean ridge basalt glass   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We report, for the first time, ultrasonic velocity values for a pure (>95%), natural, submarine basalt glass of mid-ocean ridge basalt composition, from 10 to 1000 MPa at room temperature. These new data show that basalt glass, abundant in the upper oceanic crust, has the lowest velocity of any primary solid component of the oceanic crust. In addition, natural basalt glass has a steeper pressure-dependence of velocity than previously measured in more crystalline samples, indicating that cracks in natural basalt glass are weaker than in more crystalline rocks. To obtain values for the pure glass phase, we correct the natural glass data for the low-pressure closure of cracks, and the presence of minor mineralogic components and vesicles. These new data provide a baseline for evaluating the effect of abundant basalt glass and glassy mesostasis in oceanic upper crust on in situ seismic velocities. In addition, data on the elastic and seismic properties of natural glasses are useful for a better understanding of glass structure, and glass relaxation, with potential applications to submarine volcanology.  相似文献

Paleogeographic restorations for the oceanic crust formed by the Cocos-Nacza spreading center and its precursors were performed to reconstruct the history and ages of the submarine aseismic ridges in the Eastern Pacific Basin, the Carnegie, Coiba, Cocos, and Malpelo ridges. The bipartition of the Carnegie ridge reflects the shift from a precursor to the presently active Cocos-Nazca spreading center. The Cocos ridge is partly composed of products from the Galápagos hotspot but may also contain material from a second center of volcanic activity which is located approximately 600 km NE of Galápagos. The Malpelo ridge is a product of this second hotspot center, whereas the Coiba ridge probably formed at the Galápagos hotspot. The geometric relationship of the Cocos and Carnegie ridges indicates symmetric spreading and a constant northward shift of the presently active Cocos-Nazca spreading center.  相似文献

在青藏高原中部中拉萨地块之上新识别了一套晚侏罗世-早白垩世早期岩浆岩,本次对其中麻米地区出露的火山岩进行了锆石U-Pb定年与全岩主微量元素分析研究工作.测年结果显示麻米火山岩形成于晚侏罗世(152~150 Ma),岩石地球化学具有高SiO2、高全碱含量(Na2O+K2O)、低MgO、低P2O5的特征,并显示明显的Eu、Sr、Ba等元素的亏损,具有高分异I型花岗质岩石的特征.结合区域上报道的同期中酸性侵入岩资料,麻米酸性火山岩起源于古老地壳物质重熔并经历了广泛的结晶分异作用.本文研究表明中拉萨地块上晚侏罗世-早白垩世早期岩浆作用形成于洋壳俯冲背景,应该是新特提斯洋北向俯冲过程中引发的弧型岩浆事件.   相似文献

岛弧火山岩主要为俯冲带的俯冲板片脱水形成的富大离子亲石元素流体交代地幔楔,并使其发生部分熔融,产生岛弧岩浆作用而形成的,岩石组合通常为玄武岩—安山岩—英安岩—流纹岩及相应侵入岩组合。它以Al2O3、K2O高,低Ti O2,且K2ONa2O为特征,相对富集LILE,亏损HFSE,特别是Ti、Nb、Ta等。本文主要从岛弧岩浆作用的起因着手,分析流体和熔体对地幔楔的交代作用,以及岛弧岩浆作用过程,进而分析岛弧火山岩的地球化学特征。  相似文献

研究了北祁连山造山带火山成因块状硫化物矿床(VMS)类型、金属来源与容矿围岩、火山岩类型及其构造环境的关系。结果表明,容矿岩石和地壳性质是控制矿床类型和金属来源的主要因素。多金属黑矿型矿床主要赋存于硅名质陆壳边缘裂陷带双峰火山岩系的酸性火山岩中,成矿元素源于深部长英质岩石,铜型矿床产于洋壳基性火山岩中,成矿元素源于深部镁铁质岩石。中寒武统双峰火山岩所赋存的多金属VMS矿床多、规模大,是主要含矿矿岩  相似文献

The Pb and Sr isotope ratios of Plio-Pleistocene volcanic rocks from the Aleutian volcanic arc are used as tracers of the lithospheric subduction process at the converging Pacific and Bering plates. Aleutian arc lavas do not have the same Pb isotopic compositions as volcanic rocks of the subducted Pacific ocean crust or the nearby Pribilof Islands, but appear to contain an ‘old continental crustal component’ with high 207Pb/204Pb ratio, as has been found in some other volcanic arcs.87Sr/86Sr ratios in the Aleutian volcanic arc rocks average 0.70322, slightly higher than fresh volcanic rocks from normal ridge segments, but within the range of values from ‘Icelandic’ ridge segments, oceanic islands and the Pribolof Islands. The Pb and Sr isotopic compositions of Aleutian lavas show a positive correlation and the range of values does not change for volcanoes distributed along strike in the arc, even though the crustal type in the hanging wall of the Benioff zone changes from oceanic in the west to continental in the east. Since the basement of the continental arc segment is older than the basement of the oceanic segment, and probably has a different isotopic character, the constancy of isotopic ratios along the arc argues against contamination by wall rocks of the type exposed in the arc.A sufficient explanation for the isotopic data is the mixture of several per cent of continent-derived sediment with melt derived from the underthrust oceanic crust and overlying mantle. This small amount of contaminant is difficult to document by geophysical observations. Such a model implies extensive recycling of Ba, Pb, K and Rb through volcanism at convergent plate margins like the Aleutians.  相似文献

The extended Saryarka and Shyngyz-North Tien Shan volcanic belts that underwent secondary deformation are traced in the Caledonides of Kazakhstan and the North Tien Shan. These belts are composed of igneous rocks pertaining to Early Paleozoic island-arc systems of various types and the conjugated basins with oceanic crust. The Saryarka volcanic belt has a complex fold-nappe structure formed in the middle Arenigian-middle Llanvirnian as a result of the tectonic juxtaposition of Early-Middle Cambrian and Late Cambrian-Early Ordovician complexes of ensimatic island arcs and basins with oceanic crust. The Shyngyz-North Tien Shan volcanic belt is characterized by a rather simple fold structure and consists of Middle-Late Ordovician volcanic and plutonic associations of ensialic island arcs developing on heterogeneous basement, which is composed of complexes belonging to the Saryarka belt and Precambrian sialic massifs. The structure and isotopic composition of the Paleozoic igneous complexes provide evidence for the heterogeneous structure of the continental crust in various segments of the Kazakh Caledonides. The upper crust of the Shyngyz segment consists of Early Paleozoic island-arc complexes and basins with oceanic crust related to the Saryarka and Shyngyz-North Tien Shan volcanic belts in combination with Middle and Late Paleozoic continental igneous rocks. The deep crustal units of this segment are dominated by mafic rocks of Early Paleozoic suprasubduction complexes. The upper continental crust of the Stepnyak segment is composed of Middle-Late Ordovician island-arc complexes of the Shyngyz-North Tien Shan volcanic belt and Early Ordovician rift-related volcanics. The middle crustal units are composed of Riphean, Paleoproterozoic, and probably Archean sialic rocks, whereas the lower crustal units are composed of Neoproterozoic mafic rocks.  相似文献

The seismic profile of the crust of the northern part of the Basin and Range province by its thinness and layering is intermediate between typical continental and oceanic crust and resembles that of marginal ocean basins, especially those with thick sedimentary fill. The geologic history of the Great Basin indicates that it was the site of a succession of marginal ocean basins opening and closing behind volcanic arcs during much of Paleozoic time. A long process of sedimentation and deformation followed throughout the Mesozoic modifying, but possibly not completely transforming the originally oceanic crust to continental crust. In the Cenozoic, after at least 40 m.y. of quiescence and stable conditions, substantial crustal and upper-mantle changes are recorded by elevation of the entire region in isostatic equilibrium, crustal extension resulting in Basin and Range faulting, extensive volcanism, high heat flow and a low-velocity mantle. These phenomena, apparently the result of plate tectonics, are superimposed on the inherited subcontinental crust that developed from an oceanic origin in Paleozoic time and possibly retained some of its thin and layered characteristics. The present anomalous crust in the Great Basin represents an accretion of oceanic geosynclinal material to a Precambrian continental nucleus apparently as an intermediate step in the process of conversion of oceanic crust into a stable continental landmass or craton.  相似文献

The nature of the oceanic crust produced through rifting and oceanic spreading between North and South America during the Late Jurassic is a key element for the Caribbean plate tectonic model reconstruction. Located in the Cordillera Central of Hispaniola, the Loma La Monja volcano-plutonic assemblage (LMA) is composed of gabbros, dolerites, basalts, and oceanic sediments, as well as metamorphic equivalents, which represent a dismembered fragment of this proto-Caribbean oceanic crust. Petrologic and geochemical data show that the LMA have a relatively broad diversity in composition, which represent the crystallization products of a typical low-pressure tholeiitic fractionation of mid-ocean ridge basalts (MORB)-type parental magmas, ranging from N- to E-MORB. Three geochemical groups have been distinguished in the volcanic sequence: LREE-flat to slightly LREE-enriched basalts of groups II and III occur interlayered in the lower stratigraphic levels; and LREE-depleted basalts of group I in the upper levels. Mantle melt modeling suggests that group III magmas are consistent by mixing within a mantle melt column of low-degree (<1%) melts of a deep garnet lherzolite source and high-degree (>15%) melts of a shallow spinel source, and groups II and I magmas are explained with moderate to high (14–18%) and very high (>20%) fractional melting degrees of a shallower spinel mantle source, respectively. Thus, upward in the volcanic sequence of the LMA, the magmas represent progressively more extensive melting of shallower sources, in a plume-influenced spreading ridge of the proto-Caribbean oceanic crust. Nb/Y versus Zr/Y systematics combined with recent plate tectonic model reconstructions reveal that Caribbean Colombian oceanic plateau fragments in Hispaniola formed through melting of heterogeneous mantle source regions related with distinct plumes during at least from Aptian–Albian (>96 Ma) to Late Campanian.  相似文献

采用"造山带混杂岩区"新理论,首次在贺根山-黑河缝合带中段发现海勒斯台俯冲增生混杂岩,建立由"基质"+"岩块"组成的俯冲增生杂岩体系,其构造样式为整体左行逆冲剪切.基质主要有糜棱岩、千糜岩、超糜棱岩及少量的沉凝灰岩、粉砂岩、细砂岩,构造环境为弧前盆地,时代主要为中寒武世;岩块有洋岛海山岩块、弧后洋盆洋壳残片、火山弧岩块、裂离陆块,岩块的年龄区间主要在中寒武世-中奥陶世,裂离陆块时代为新太古代.结合俯冲增生杂岩基质年龄、岩块的年龄、侵入混杂岩的TTG年龄(449 Ma)和变形程度、接触关系等,将海勒斯台俯冲增生杂岩的形成时代厘定为中晚奥陶世.认为研究区俯冲作用在早寒武世就已经开始,在大陆边缘形成火山岛弧;奥陶纪初期弧后发育弧后盆地,至中奥陶世弧后盆地出现洋壳;此时中寒武世的基质经俯冲下切后在中奥陶世时期折返上升;晚奥陶世时期由于区域的持续汇聚挤压,该弧后洋盆很快夭折;弧陆开始碰撞,导致双向俯冲.在弧陆碰撞过程中,晚期形成的弧后盆地洋壳等新岩块混入早期形成的基质中.海勒斯台俯冲增生混杂岩带的发现填补了贺根山-黑河缝合岩带中段的空白,对区域构造格架厘定具有非常重要的意义,为研究古亚洲构造域演化提供了新的证据.   相似文献

班康姆铜金矿床是近年来新发现的大型铜金矿床。前人研究初步表明研究区成矿作用与古特提斯洋壳俯冲消减所产生的岩浆作用密切有关,但是缺乏岩石地球化学证据。笔者于研究区地表、钻孔采集了13件火山岩-侵入岩新鲜岩石,开展了主量元素、微量元素、稀土元素分析测试。研究表明该区安山质-侵入杂岩具有岛弧钙碱性火山岩的地球化学特征,构造环境判别图显示该套岩石属于大洋弧环境,形成于大洋消减带,与洋壳板片俯冲有关。安山质-侵入杂岩来源于地幔楔,并经历了结晶分异作用,而煌斑岩形成于板片消减而富集的地幔部分熔融。通过与黎府构造带矿床稀土、微量元素特征对比,证实班康姆矿区与Chatree矿区火山岩及金矿床形成于同一期构造岩浆成矿作用,进一步表明了黎府构造岩浆带在晚二叠世—早三叠世发生了一次重要的区域成矿作用。  相似文献

对出露于班公湖-怒江缝合带西段聂尔错和拉果错地区的火山岩开展了锆石U-Pb定年和岩石地球化学测试,旨在查明该区火山岩的形成时代、岩石成因及构造环境。锆石U-Pb定年结果显示,聂尔错地区流纹岩及拉果错地区英安岩分别形成于112.5Ma和112.3Ma,与区域上大规模展布的早白垩世岩浆作用时代一致。全岩主量、微量元素特征显示,英安岩与流纹岩样品均属于钙碱性系列,且明显富集Th、U,亏损Nb、Ta、Ti等高场强元素。地球化学特征指示英安岩起源于增厚的下地壳部分熔融,而流纹岩是下地壳熔体经历广泛结晶分异作用的产物。研究认为,西藏中部早白垩世晚期大规模岩浆作用形成于碰撞后伸展背景,其深部动力学机制可能与北向俯冲的班公湖-怒江洋壳的板片断离有关。  相似文献

在哀牢山构造带的哀牢山断裂与花山-雅邑断裂之间出路大量不同构造环境的岩浆岩。除双沟蛇绿岩外,尚发现有景东火山岩和墨江火山岩。地球化学研究表明,景东火山岩具有类似于富集型洋中脊玄武岩(P-MORB)地球化学特征,形成于以双沟蛇绿岩为代表的哀牢山洋盆先期的陆内裂谷构造环境;墨江火山岩具有岛弧火山岩地球化学特征,形成于哀牢山洋盆向西俯冲消减作用下的岛弧构造环境。景东裂谷型火山岩和墨江岛弧火山岩分别代表了  相似文献

One of the keys to understanding the origin of Archaean greenstone belts lies in the geological relationships between mafic and ultramafic greenstones, felsic to intermediate volcanic rocks and terrigenous sediments. Traditional models for greenstone belt evolution have been based on in-situ stratigraphic relationships. Most of these models, for example an oceanic island-arc developed on oceanic basement, back-arc basins, and the recently popular plume model, predict concordant stratigraphic relationships among the various greenstone belt lithologies. However, rather than being depositional in nature, several authors have indicated that many of the relationships between the different lithologies in greenstone belts are in fact tectonic, suggesting an allochthonous origin for most greenstone sequences. All of these latter models make analogies to Phanerozoic tectonic processes involving accretion of oceanic materials with volcanism related to both plate subduction and rifting.

In this paper, we have evaluated the geological relationships between volcanic rocks and sediments in three regions in the Superior province, where the accretion of oceanic material can be documented, and direct comparisons are made to geological processes in Phanerozoic accretionary complexes. In the Malartic area in the southeastern Abitibi Subprovince, 3 to 4 km thick slices of komatiite and tholeiite, with intercalated terrigenous sediment, are tectonically imbricated and are overlain by calc-alkaline volcanics which postdate tectonic stacking. In both the Larder Lake region of the southwestern Abitibi belt and in the Beardmore-Geraldton belt, at the south-eastern limit of the Wabigoon belt, slices of iron-rich tholeiite and chemical sediments of an oceanic origin are tectonically imbricated with terrigenous sediment.

The Malartic-Val d'Or area is considered to be an example of accretion of an Archaean oceanic plateau, while the Larder Lake and the Beardmore-Geraldton regions are potentially typical of accretion of normal oceanic crust in an arc-environment. Phanerozoic accretion of oceanic crust is accompanied by a step-back in subduction, and in this paper we suggest that oceanic crust accretion may have been the principal mechanism by which the locus of subduction migrated towards the south of the Superior province. Asthenospheric upwelling associated with the isolated sinking plate may have been responsible for widespread late-magmatism. This scenario requires that magmas be erupted through previously accreted volcanic, plutonic and sedimentary material. Furthermore, later ridge subduction will result in transpressional tectonics and eruption of mafic sequences over mature and immature volcano-plutonic sequences. The combined result of the plate tectonic scenario envisaged would result in the well-described “cyclic stratigraphy” of many granite greenstone sequences.  相似文献
