根据菲律宾海的演化,指出菲律宾海板块的特点:以俯冲边界为主,易于产生形变.将理论结果与地球物理、地质以及GPS测量结果进行比较,发现菲律宾海板块内部及边界有明显形变.讨论了菲律宾海板块与欧亚板块的相互作用,指出其相互作用有明显的分段性.在南海海槽一带有较强的挤压,在琉球海沟一带由于两板块耦合较弱及冲绳海槽的开裂,没有形成对东亚大陆的挤压;台湾附近两板块碰撞,对中国东南形成较强的挤压;在菲律宾群岛一带形成两板块间的复杂变形带,使两板块间的作用减弱.  相似文献

从原欧亚板块划出阿穆利亚微板块,并建立一个包括太平洋、北美、欧亚、鄂霍次克及菲律宾海等板块在内的6板块系统,利用地震滑移矢量,转换断层走向,洋中脊扩展速率,以及最新的GPS观测资料,采用Monte-Carlo盒子法,反演得到该6板块系统的欧拉运动矢量.本文得到的有关欧拉矢量为:AM-EU(60.42°N,123.25°E,0.025°/Ma),AM-OK(53.20°N,141.95°E,0.476°/Ma)以及AM-PH(50.84°N,158.13°E,1.204°/Ma),AM-EU的欧拉运动极点位于贝加尔隆起的东北及斯塔诺夫山脉的西北,并给出在贝加尔隆起有0.4-0.7mm/a的扩张,与从地质学证据得到的估计结果一致;由AM-OK及AM-PH欧拉运动矢量可以分别得到日本海东缘的6-15mm/a及日本南海地槽带的51-66mm/a收敛速率,与最新的GPS观测结果并不一致.因此,东亚北部地区存在独立的南中国微板块及其它亚尺度的微板块,可以更好地描述该地区现今板块构造的运动规律.  相似文献

系统研究了1918~2006年间中国大陆及其周缘发生的3115个M4.6以上中、强地震的震源机制解,得到中国大陆地壳区域应力场的压应力轴和张应力轴空间分布的统计结果.探讨了大陆应力场的结构,以及周围板块运动对中国大陆应力场影响作用范围及其界线.结果表明,中国东部的华北地区受到太平洋板块向欧亚板块俯冲挤压的同时,又受到从贝加尔湖经过大华北直至琉球海沟的广阔范围内存在的方位为170°引张应力场的控制.华北地区大地震的震源机制解反映出,该区地震发生为NEE向挤压应力和NNW向张应力的共同作用结果.印度洋板块向欧亚板块的碰撞挤压运动所产生的强烈的挤压应力,控制了喜马拉雅、青藏高原、乃至延伸到天山及其以北的广大地区.在青藏高原周缘地区和中国西部的大范围内,压应力P轴水平分量位于20°~40°,形成了近北东方向的挤压应力场,大量逆断层型强震集中发生在青藏高原的南、北和西部周缘地区以及天山等地区. 本文结果表明,正断层型地震集中发生在青藏高原中部高海拔的地区.证明了青藏高原周缘区域发生南北向强烈挤压短缩的同时,中部高海拔地区存在着明显的近东西向的扩张运动.根据本文最新结果,得到了华北、华南块体之间地壳区域应力场的控制边界线,发现该分界线与大地构造、岩石圈板块构造图等有较大差异,特别是在大别及其以东地区, 该分界线向东南偏转,在沿海的温州附近转向东,最终穿过东海直至琉球海沟.台湾纵谷断层是菲律宾海板块与欧亚板块之间碰撞挤压边界,来自北西西向运动的菲律宾海板块构造应力控制了从台湾纵谷、华南块体,直到中国南北地震带南段东部地域的应力场. 地震震源机制结果还表明,南北地震带南段西侧其P轴大约为NNE方向,与青藏高原的P轴方位一致.南北地震带南段东侧其P轴大约为NWW方向,与华南块体的P轴方位一致.因此,将中〖JP2〗国大陆分成东、西两部分的南北地震带南段是印度洋板块与菲律宾海板块在中国大陆内部影响控制范围的分界线.  相似文献

自3 Ma至现今,在欧亚东缘太平洋、菲律宾海板块以较大速率朝NWW方向运动,并沿海沟向欧亚大陆俯冲;同时欧亚板块以较小速率朝SEE方向移动,构成双方向的板块汇聚格局.沿日本岛弧东侧,海洋板片以较小的倾角插入欧亚大陆下面,在浅部产生的挤压变形扩展到日本海东边缘.琉球岛弧的中、北部,菲律宾海俯冲板片的倾角较大,其西南段由NE向转变为EW向,正经历活动的海沟后退与弧后扩张.台湾是3种板块汇聚的交点:欧亚沿马尼拉海沟向东俯冲,吕宋弧与台湾碰撞,使台湾岛陆壳东西向缩短与隆升,形成年轻的造山带,菲律宾海板块沿琉球海沟的西南段向北俯冲到欧亚下面.位于南海与菲律宾海之间的菲律宾群岛是宽的变形过渡带,两侧被欧亚向东、菲律宾海向西俯冲夹击,中间是大型左旋走滑断层.总体上,现今时期的太平洋、菲律宾海板块的西向俯冲运动所产生的变形主要分布在俯冲板片内部及岛弧,未扩散到弧后地区,可能这种俯冲运动产生的水平应力较小,不能阻挡欧亚大陆的向东移动,对大陆内部的现今构造没有明显的影响.  相似文献

Euler vectors (relative angular velocity vectors) have been determined for twelve major plates by global inversion of carefully selected sea-floor spreading rates, transform fault trends, and earthquake slip vectors. The rate information comes from marine magnetic anomalies less than 5 m.y. old, so the motions are valid for post-Miocene times. Plate motions in a mean hotspot frame of reference have also been determined, and statistical confidence limits for all the Euler vectors estimated. Among the consequences of the global motion model is the conclusion that fast-spreading ridges (separation rates greater than 3 cm/yr) have plate motion nearly perpendicular to the strike of the ridge and magnetic anomalies. Four more slowly separating ridges have an average obliquity of spreading of almost 20°.For several plate boundaries, results that differ from previous studies are in agreement with geological evidence. The North and South American plates converge slowly about a pole east of the Antilles and near the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The results for Africa versus Somalia imply slow east-west extension on the East African Rift Valleys. The pole for motion of Eurasia relative to North America is located near Sakhalin, in accordance with evidence from Siberia and Sakhalin.  相似文献

根据德国卫星激光测距(SLR)数据分析中心GFZ对1980年1月-1991年7月获取的SLR观测数据处理后得到的41个SLR站的站速度,解算了北美、欧亚、太平洋、南美和澳大利亚板块之间的相对运动欧拉矢量,得到了第1个SLR实测的板块运动模型SPMM1.与地学板块模型RM2和NUVEL-1的比较指出,SPMM1大体上与地学模型一致,与NUVEL-1更为接近;SPMM1的欧亚与北美板块相对运动欧拉极与NUVEL-1的相应极很接近,但旋转速率明显偏小.还分析了各板块上SLR站的局部形变特征.欧亚板块东部和西部存在10-20mm/a的相对运动;板块边界附近SLR站的残差站速度基本上反映了该边界的构造形变特征.  相似文献

This study estimates the far field coseismic deformation of China and its surrounding areas caused by the Mw9.0 Tohoku earthquake of Japan using continuous GPS (cGPS) data and final orbits released by International GNSS Service (IGS). Based on these data, we feature the coseismic offsets of several plates affected by the event. Static far field coseismic offsets greater than 2 mm are detected in a wide area of China, which extends as far as about 3,000 km off the epicenter, consisting of that of the 2010 Maule, Chile earthquake. In northeast China, displacements up to 32.7 mm toward southeast are observed; meanwhile, offsets in North China reach about 5–11 mm toward east. Coseismic jumps of about 2–5 mm are measured in South China toward southeast. The southwest extrusion of the Philippine Sea plate is verified by GPS slip vectors, showing that the Philippine Sea plate is decoupled from the Pacific plate by the earthquake. We also infer that the Amurian plate and the Okhotsk plate couple well according to relatively continuous GPS offsets in these plates. Furthermore, the dense far field cGPS offsets due to the Tohoku event hopefully provide opportunities to model the coseismic slip distribution.  相似文献

Slip partitioning along major convergent plate boundaries   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Along plate boundaries characterized by oblique convergence, earthquake slip vectors are commonly rotated toward the normal of the trench with respect to predicted plate motion vectors. Consequently, relative plate motion along such convergent margins must be partitioned between displacements along the thrust plate interface and deformation within the forearc and back-arc regions. The deformation behind the trench may take the form of strike-slip motion, back-arc extension, or some combination of both. We observe from our analysis of the Harvard Moment Tensor Catalog that convergent arcs characterized by back-arc spreading, specifically the Marianas and New Hebrides, are characterized by a large degree of slip partitioning. However, the observed rates, directions, and location of back-arc spreading are not sufficient to account for degree of partitioning observed along the respective arcs, implying that the oblique component of subduction is also accommodated in part by shearing of the overriding plate. In the case of the Sumatran arc, where partitioning is accommodated by strike-slip faulting in the overriding plate, the degree of partitioning is similar to that observed along the Marianas, but the result is viewed with caution because it is based on a predicted plate motion vector that is based on locally derived earthquake slip vectors. In the case of the Alaskan-Aleutian arc, where back-arc spreading is also absent, the degree of partitioning is less and rotation of slip vectors toward the trench normal appears to increase linearly as a function of the obliquity of convergence. If partitioning in the Alaskan-Aleutian arc is accommodated by strike-slip faulting within the upper plate, the positive relationship between obliquity of convergence and the rotation of earthquake slip vectors to the trench normal may reflect that either (1) the ratio of the depth extent of strike-slip faults behind the trenchZ s to the subduction thrustZ t increases westward along the arc, (2) the dip of the subduction thrust increases westward along the arc, or (3) the strength of the subduction thrust decreases westward along the arc.  相似文献

The generation of interplate earthquakes can be regarded as a process of tectonic stress accumulation and release, driven by relative plate motion. We completed a physics-based simulation system for earthquake generation cycles at plate interfaces in the Japan region, where the Pacific plate is descending beneath the North American and Philippine Sea plates, and the Philippine Sea plate is descending beneath the North American and Eurasian plates. The system is composed of a quasi-static tectonic loading model and a dynamic rupture propagation model, developed on a realistic 3-D plate interface model. The driving force of the system is relative plate motion. In the quasi-static tectonic loading model, mechanical interaction at plate interfaces is rationally represented by the increase of tangential displacement discontinuity (fault slip) across them on the basis of dislocation theory for an elastic surface layer overlying Maxwell-type viscoelastic half-space. In the dynamic rupture propagation model, stress changes due to fault slip motion on non-planar plate interfaces are evaluated with the boundary integral equation method. The progress of seismic (dynamic) or aseismic (quasi-static) fault slip on plate interfaces is governed by a slip- and time-dependent fault constitutive law. As an example, we numerically simulated earthquake generation cycles at the source region of the 1968 Tokachi-oki earthquake on the North American-Pacific plate interface. From the numerical simulation, we can see that postseismic stress relaxation in the asthenosphere accelerates stress accumulation in the source region. When the stress state of the source region is close to a critical level, dynamic rupture is rapidly accelerated and develops over the whole source region. When the stress state is much lower than the critical level, the rupture is not accelerated. This means that the stress state realized by interseismic tectonic loading essentially controls the subsequent dynamic rupture process.  相似文献

省市级区域CORS(Continuously Operating Reference Stations)系统是当代城市数字化、信息化和智慧化的重要组成部分,便于获取各类物体的时空信息及其相关动态变化.为了进一步实现区域框架基准的现代化与自主化,全面提升现代测绘基准综合服务水平和应急保障能力,同时为了提高中国大陆区域水平速度场的精度,并精细地刻画其自身的局部运动特征,本文利用陆态网上千站2011—2017年的连续观测数据,采用GAMIT/GLOBK软件,获得高精度的定位和速度成果,进而提出和构建了基于欧拉矢量模型的中国大陆省级块体相对运动模型和部分省内子块体相对运动模型,并与欧亚板块、大陆整体和二级板块相对运动模型进行对比分析;结果表明,欧亚板块相对运动模型仅能描述大陆的部分运动趋势,中国大陆整体板块相对运动模型能够较好地展现大陆整体运动趋势,二级板块和省级块体相对运动模型均能够较为精细地反映区域的局部运动特征,且两者水平相对速度的内符合精度均小于2mm·a~(-1),其外符合精度均小于3mm·a~(-1),其中前者物理意义更为明显,后者使用更为简便,但在青藏、川滇等地壳运动复杂的地区两者精度仍有欠缺.因此,本文提出利用K-Means++算法对地壳运动复杂区域的水平速度场进行聚类分析,以快速准确地对这些区域进行子块体划分;结果表明,划分成果与现有部分二级块体成果相符合.为了兼顾省内复杂地质构造与地形地貌的影响,同时提高省级块体划分的物理意义,对地壳运动复杂的省份再细分块体,进而对各子块体构建欧拉矢量模型;结果发现,该模型平均误差和中误差均小于2mm·a~(-1),提高新疆、西藏、川滇等地区的速度场模型精度至2mm·a~(-1)左右,在确保精确度的同时,满足使用简便性的要求.  相似文献

K–Ar ages have been determined for 14 late Miocene to Pliocene volcanic rocks in the north of the Kanto Mountains, Japan, for tracking the location of the volcanic front through the time. These samples were collected from volcanoes located behind the trench–trench–trench (TTT) triple junction of the Pacific, Philippine Sea, and North American plates. This junction is the site of subduction of slabs of the Pacific and the Philippine Sea plates, both of which are thought to have influenced magmatism in this region. The stratigraphy and K–Ar ages of volcanic rocks in the study area indicate that volcanism occurred between the late Miocene and the Pliocene, and ceased before the Pleistocene. Volcanism in adjacent areas of the southern NE Japan and northern Izu–Bonin arcs also occurred during the Pliocene and ceased at around 3 Ma with the westward migration of the volcanic front, as reported previously. Combining our new age data with the existing data shows that before 3 Ma the volcanic front around the TTT junction was located about 50 km east of the preset‐day volcanic front. We suggest that northward subduction of the Philippine Sea Plate slab ended at ~3 Ma as a result of collision between the northern margin of the plate with the surface of the Pacific Plate slab. This collision may have caused a change in the subduction vector of the Philippine Sea Plate from the original north‐directed subduction to the present‐day northwest‐directed subduction. This indicates that the post ~3 Ma westward migration of the volcanic front was a result of this change in plate motion.  相似文献

The Philippine Sea at 5 m.y. B.P has been reconstructed by the following process. Firstly, it was rotated rigidly relative to the Eurasian plate around the pole of rotation at 45.5°N, 150. 2°E with a rotation angle of 6.0° for the past 5 m.y. Secondly, the evolution and deformation along the plate boundaries were incorporated in the rigid rotation. This reconstruction suggests: (1) the Izu Peninsula, which was originally a volcanic island of the Izu-Bonin Arc, collided with central Honshu in a west-northwest direction a few million years B.P.; (2) a TTT(a)-type triple junction east of Honshu has migrated west-northwestward relative to the Eurasian plate; and (3) the subduction zone of the Pacific plate, beneath the central part of the Mariana Arc, has remained fixed relative to Eurasia. Westward motion of the Philippine Sea plate and subduction beneath the eastern Eurasian margin resulted in the opening of the Marian Trough.  相似文献

传统板块构造理论认为板块是一个刚体,实际上板块是可变形的.板块内部几年到几十年时间尺度的变形主要是弹性变形,因此应当用弹性模型描述板块运动.推导了板块的弹性运动方程,由空间大地测量新的观测成果建立了菲律宾海、太平洋和澳大利亚板块的弹性运动模型.发现三个板块内部都存在明显的水平形变.板内应变场的空间变化有明显的规律:板块边界附近的应变率最大,从边界向内部逐渐减小;在板块扩散边界附近,主张应变率大于主压应变率,主张应变轴基本上与边界的扩张方向一致;在俯冲边界附近,主压应变率大于主张应变率,主压应变轴基本上与板块的俯冲方向一致;在走滑兼有俯冲性质的边界附近,最大剪应变的方向与边界断裂的走向基本一致.由GPS观测得到的主压应变轴与由震源机制解得到的主压应力轴方向具有很好的一致性.板内的应力-应变场基本上遵循广义胡克定律.  相似文献

There are 54 sites employed by ITRF2000 for ITRF2000 orientation. The deficiencies are obvious. First, these sites cannot well represent the rotation rate of the earth crust because there is no selected site in five out of fourteen tectonic plates and three of fourteen plates only have one site each. Second, the total angular momentum of the crust is non-vanishing in ITRF2000, even though it is declared that No Net Rotation (NNR) with respect to NNR-NUVEL1A is imposed on ITRF2000 construction according to the documentations of ITRF2000. So the NNR condition in conventional terrestrial reference system (CTRS) realization cannot be satisfied in ITRF2000. In this paper, the criteria of site selection for estimating the Euler vectors are suggested; the Tisserand system constraint equation in ITRF construction is derived; and as a product, the global plate motions can be obtained from the ITRF2000 construction.  相似文献

本文在最新一代板块相对运动模型(MORVEL模型)的基础上,通过最小二乘反演观测热点方向数据建立板块绝对运动模型.经过对前人用于约束板块绝对运动模型的所有热点数据与MORVEL模型的一致性作系统的统计学检验,发现存在离群数据.相应地,提出两种系统剔除离群数据的新方法:逐一剔除法和全局搜索法.结合对总残差的卡方检验和对残差频率分布的正态检验,逐步筛选最优模型,最终得到一个基于热点参考系的板块绝对运动新模型(T87模型).该模型能够合理拟合全球分布的87个热点方向数据,而模型预测的板块绝对运动速率比观测热点火山的迁移速率系统偏小,最大偏差达到4 cm·a~(-1).这样的偏差可由观测热点速率的系统误差或地幔返回流造成的热点间运动解释.不论是哪种解释成立,本文结果表明热点方向数据能够独立、有效地定义全球热点参考系.这样定义的热点参考系可方便地应用于板块绝对运动、地幔对流及真极移的研究.  相似文献

The distribution of earthquakes from 1973 to 1982 in the South China Sea, Indochina and their vicinity was studied using the data from I. S. C. It was found that the earthquakes are mainly concentrated along the boundaries of plates. Beside, some of shallow eartqhuakes are distributed in west part of Burma and the boundary between Burma and China, a few of earthquakes occurred in South China Sea. The features of Benioff zone along the boundaries between India plate, Philippine Sea plate and Eurasia plate were studied. The plate do not coupled well under the Java trench and the Philippine trench. The subducted India plate under Burmese range, Andaman—Nicobar arc moves NNE. The fault plane solutions of earthquakes were studied using the first motions of P wave. The stress state on subduction zones and within the area were deduced from the fault plane solutions and the fault movement. It was found that the direction of principal compression axis of stress is in the NNE in west part of Burma, in S—N in south and middle part of Bruma and Thailand, and in NNE or S—N in the South China Sea. It was also found that the stress state has close relation with the interaction of plates. We examine available marine geophysical and seismological data from the Caroline Sea region and conclude that a separate Caroline plate currently exists. The Caroline plate is moving relative to the Pacific plate on its northern and eastern boundaries, the Philippine plate on its western margin, and the Indian and smaller plates along its southern side in New Guinea and the Bismarck Sea area. The southern Yap Trench, the Palau Trench, and an accreting plate boundary within the Ayu Trough manifested as an axial rift valley comprise the Caroline-Philippine plate boundary. On the basis of sediment thickness and subsidence of basement away from the rift, we estimate that the Ayu Trough started to open during the Miocene. The northern section of Pacific-Caroline plate boundary coincides with the Sorol Trough which exhibits both strike-slip and extensional characteristics. The southeastern section of this boundary occurs along the Mussau Trench where Caroline plate underthrusts the Pacific plate. The section of plate boundary between the Sorol Trough and Mussau Trench is characterized by highly unusual deformational tectonics. Convergence between the Pacific and Caroline plates is apparently accommodated here by overthrusting of small slivers of sea floor towards the northeast. The intensity of deformation appears to increase southward towards the Mussau Trench. Our calculated instantaneous angular rotation vector for the Pacific-Caroline plates predicts that convergence rates increase uniformly south along the overthrust and underthrust sections of plate boundary. The transition in tectonic style from overthrusting to underthrusting occurs between 3° and 4°N.  相似文献

Tide gauge (TG) data along the northern Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts are compared to the sea-surface height (SSH) anomaly obtained from ocean altimetry (TOPEX/Poseidon and ERS-1/2) for a period of nine years (1993–2001). The TG measures the SSH relative to the ground whereas the altimetry does so with respect to the geocentric reference frame; therefore their difference would be in principle a vertical ground motion of the TG sites, though there are different error sources for this estimate as is discussed in the paper. In this study we estimate such vertical ground motion, for each TG site, from the slope of the SSH time series of the (non-seasonal) difference between the TG record and the altimetry measurement at a point closest to the TG. Where possible, these estimates are further compared with those derived from nearby continuous Global Positioning System (GPS) data series. These results on vertical ground motion along the Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts provide useful source data for studying, contrasting, and constraining tectonic models of the region. For example, in the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and in the western coast of Greece, a general subsidence is observed which may be related to the Adriatic lithosphere subducting beneath the Eurasian plate along the Dinarides fault.  相似文献
