The gravity gradient tensor (GGT) is deduced from products of second-order derivatives of the gravitational potential. A new method based on the invariants of the GGT has been proposed in this research to interpret gravity data due to sphere, infinite horizontal cylinder and semi-infinite vertical cylinder. The method estimates the depth of these simple causative sources from the multiplication of the maximum of the gravity vertical component by the maximum value of the invariants I 1 to I 2 ratio. To show the reliability and correctness of the estimated depths on 3-D models, the method has been tested using theoretical data with and without random noise. In addition, I have applied the method to a field-data example in Texas, USA and the depth obtained by the present method is compared with those published in the literature.  相似文献

位场全张量梯度数据以其信息量大、含有更高频的信号成分,能更好地描述小的异常特征等优点在地球物理领域中得到广泛应用.边界检测是位场解释中不可缺少的任务,需要新的边界探测器来处理位场梯度张量数据.为了充分利用位场梯度张量数据的多信息成分,本文定义了方向总水平导数和加强方向总水平导数,并利用其定义新的边界检测器.为了能同时显示不同振幅大小异常的边界,本文对其进行了归一化处理.通过模型试验,证明了归一化方法能更加清晰准确地显示浅部和深部的地质体边界信息.最后将该边界检测方法用于加拿大圣乔治湾实际测得全张量重力梯度数据和中国朱日和地区的磁异常数据中,并得到了较好的边界检测结果.  相似文献

The ‘depth from extreme points’ method is an important tool to estimate the depth of sources of gravity and magnetic data. In order to interpret gravity gradient tensor data conveniently, formulas for the tensor data form regarding depth from the extreme points method were calculated in this paper. Then, all of the gradient tensor components were directly used to interpret the causative source. Beyond the gzz component, also the gxx and gyy components can be used to obtain depth information. In addition, the total horizontal derivative of the depth from extreme points of the gradient tensor can be used to describe the edge information of geologic sources. In this paper, we investigated the consistency of the homogeneity degree calculated by using the different components, which leads to the calculated depth being confirmed. Therefore, a more integrated interpretation can be obtained by using the gradient tensor components. Different synthetic models were used with and without noise to test the new approach, showing stability, accuracy and speed. The proposed method proved to be a useful tool for gradient tensor data interpretation. Finally, the proposed method was applied to full tensor gradient data acquired over the Vinton Salt Dome, Louisiana, USA, and the results are in agreement with those obtained in previous research studies.  相似文献

The bipole-dipole resistivity technique, which uses a single current source (bipole) to map variations in (apparent) resistivity has been much criticized in the past. A series of 3D models are used to show that the use of two distinct current bipoles in the same location but with different orientations, combined with analysis in the form of a previously defined tensor apparent resistivity, can greatly improve many aspects of bipole-dipole mapping. The model study shows that, for measurement stations more than a few bipole lengths from the current source, the apparent resistivity tensor behaves, to a close approximation, as though the current bipoles are idealized dipoles, and hence is independent of the orientation of the individual current sources used. Any pair of current bipoles (in the same location but with different orientations) can therefore be used to determine the tensor resistivity properties. The invariants of the apparent resistivity tensor have considerable advantages over the normal scalar apparent resistivities. Modelling shows that although the electric field vector corresponding to a single current bipole can be highly perturbed by a local inhomogeneity for some considerable distance beyond the inhomogeneity itself, the tensor invariants are virtually unperturbed beyond the extent of the inhomogeneity. Hence false anomalies, which are a characteristic of apparent resistivity measured using only single current bipole models, are almost completely eliminated by the use of tensor invariants. Of the possible tensor invariants, the invariant given by the square root of the determinant gives the best representation of a buried 3D body. Resistivity anomalies are localized, and occur only over the causative body. Even with complex models involving several buried bodies, the tensor invariants clearly delineate the extent of each body. Outside the bounds of perturbing bodies, the tensor data can be analysed by conventional techniques, for example, to determine layered structure.  相似文献

本文提出了一种全张量磁梯度数据的斜导数边界识别方法,该方法利用全张量磁梯度数据定义了北向斜导数、东向斜导数和垂向斜导数.模型试验表明,北向和东向斜导数无法有效识别磁性异常体边界,异常形态复杂虚假异常较多,而垂向斜导数在高纬度斜磁化或者垂直磁化条件下可以清晰而准确得识别地质体的边界,具有一定的深度识别能力.与现有磁张量梯度的边界识别方法相比,识别效果好,可以有效均衡不同深度地质体的响应.将上述方法应用于大兴安岭地区实测航磁三分量数据转换得到的全张量数据,获得了研究区浅部磁性体的分布,并与三分量数据进行联合解释,取得良好的地质效果.  相似文献

Knowledge of the declination and inclination of the total and induced magnetization vectors is normally required for the interpretation and analysis of magnetic anomalies. A new method of estimating the direction of the total magnetization vector of magnetized rocks from magnetic anomalies is proposed. The unknown declination and inclination (D*T and I*T) can be found by applying a reduction-to-the-pole operator to the measured anomalies for different couples of total magnetization direction parameters (DT and IT) and by observing the variation of the anomaly minimum as a function of both DT and I*T.and D*T are estimated using the maximum of this function. Comparing our method to previous methods, one advantage is that our estimates are not zero-level dependent; furthermore, the method allows inclinations to be well estimated, with the same accuracy as declinations; finally declinations are not underestimated. Our method is applied to a real case and meaningful results are obtained; it is shown that the feasibility of the method is improved by removing the low-frequency components.  相似文献

常规欧拉反褶积法中构造指数的选取以及分散解存在较多的问题,提出了基于联立垂向一阶导数与解析信号的欧拉齐次方程的RDAS-Euler反演方法。该方法可以更为精确的估计场源的范围及埋深,且不需考虑构造指数N的影响,避免了因构造指数不当而引起的反演误差。通过对单一地质体及组合地质体模型的实验证明本文方法能有效地完成目标体的反演工作,反演结果与理论值之间的误差小于10%,且相对于常规欧拉反褶积法更加稳定准确,能够更好的得到地质体边界及深度信息。将RDAS-Euler法应用于黑龙江省虎林盆地实测布格重力异常数据,获得了丰富的断裂信息,说明RDASEuler法增强了对断裂平面位置的识别能力。  相似文献

谱矩方法可以对数据的表面形貌做较为细致的描述.它以随机过程为理论基础,用各阶谱矩及统计不变量等具体的参数表征表面的几何形态,算术平均顶点曲率是一种基于四阶谱矩的统计不变量.通常,埋深不同的场源所引起的磁异常尺度不同,从曲率的角度来理解即为磁异常曲面的弯曲程度不同.因此,本文应用算术平均顶点曲率提取磁异常的几何信息,并将所提取的信息用于场源深度的反演.理论上推导了基于谱矩的球状磁源体和板状磁源体的反演公式,得到了场源深度与磁异常、曲率之间的关系式.结合理论模型计算验证了方法的有效性,并与欧拉反褶积方法进行对比.与传统的方法相比,该方法快速简单,无需调节参数,且有较好的反演精度.最后,将该方法用于塔里木盆地航磁异常的反演和解释中,反演出的磁源体深度可满足区域磁异常数据分析和解释的要求,为克拉通沉积盆地磁异常源的深度划分提供丰富的信息.  相似文献

Inversion of magnetic data is complicated by the presence of remanent magnetization, and it provides limited information about the magnetic source because of the insufficiency of data and constraint information. We propose a Fourier domain transformation allowing the separation of magnetic anomalies into the components caused by induced and remanent magnetizations. The approach is based on the hypothesis that each isolated source is homogeneous with a uniform and specific Koenigsberger ratio. The distributions of susceptibility and remanent magnetization are subsequently recovered from the separated anomalies. Anomaly components, susceptibility distribution and distribution of the remanent and total magnetization vectors (direction and intensity) can be achieved through the processing of the anomaly components. The proposed method therefore provides a procedure to test the hypotheses about target source and magnetic field, by verifying these models based on available information or a priori information from geology. We test our methods using synthetic and real data acquired over the Zhangfushan iron-ore deposit and the Yeshan polymetallic deposit in eastern China. All the tests yield favourable results and the obtained models are helpful for the geological interpretation.  相似文献

A new interpretative approach is proposed to interpret residual gravity anomaly profiles in order to determine the depth, the amplitude coefficient and the geometric shape factor of simple spherical and cylindrical buried structures. This new approach is based on both Fair function minimization and on stochastic optimization modeling. The validity of this interpretative approach is demonstrated through studying and analyzing two synthetic gravity anomalies, using simulated data generated from a known model with different random noises components and a known statistical distribution. Being theoretically proven, this new approach has been applied on three real field gravity anomalies from Sweden, Senegal and the United States. The agreement between the results obtained by the proposed method and those obtained by other interpretation methods is good and comparable.  相似文献

全张量磁梯度数据具有高精度、高分辨率、多参量的优点,能更加清晰地刻画地质体的分布特征,综合利用磁张量梯度数据准确地获得地质体水平位置和深度信息是解释的主要目的.磁张量数据的方向解析信号具有减小倾斜磁化干扰的优点,常被用来圈定磁源体的水平位置,但解析信号强度随着地质体埋深的增加急剧衰减,难以有效识别较深的地质体.张量数据均衡边界识别技术,利用不同方向解析信号的比值函数,能有效地均衡不同深度地质体的响应,同时显示不同深度地质体的边界,提高了对较深地质体的分辨率.磁张量数据深度成像技术根据实测张量数据与假定模型张量数据的相关系数来给定地质体的深度,综合利用多参量数据联合反演提高了反演结果的准确性,且无需进行复杂的反演运算,是大数据量张量数据解释的有效方法.理论模型试验证明:磁张量数据均衡边界识别技术可清晰和准确地识别地质体的水平范围,受倾斜磁化干扰小;磁张量数据深度成像技术可准确地获得地质体的深度信息,具有较强的抗噪性.将上述方法应用于铁矿区实测航磁张量梯度数据解释,获得了铁矿体水平分布与埋深,深度结果与张量欧拉反褶积法计算结果一致.  相似文献

A part of the Békés Basin (an extensional sub‐basin of the Pannonian Basin, where the basement under thick Pannonian sediments is well known from deep boreholes and from seismic measurements, and where many magnetotelluric (MT) soundings have been carried out for frequencies ranging from 1 to 10?3 Hz) was selected as a test area to assess the imaging performances of various apparent‐resistivity definitions computed with rotational invariants of either the real part of the complex impedance tensor, or its imaginary part, or both. A comparison (based on earlier 3D numerical studies) has been made between the magnetotelluric images obtained in this way and the depths to the high‐resistivity basement, as known from boreholes and seismic investigations. The correlation coefficient between the series of basement depth values at 39 MT sites and the apparent‐resistivity values was found to be stronger and high correlation appeared at a shorter period when it was computed with apparent resistivities based on the real tensor rather than with apparent resistivities based on the imaginary tensor. In the light of our studies, ρRe Z and the impedance phase seem to be more informative than any other combination of magnetotelluric interpretation parameters.  相似文献

An example of magnetotelluric data is discussed which has distinctive phase values out of quadrant, and for which the Zxx element of the measured tensor is greater than the Zxy element in both real and quadrature parts. Mohr circle plots and principal value decompositions of the real and quadrature parts of the tensor clarify its understanding. An analysis of rotational invariants of the data suggests a case of galvanic distortion of a 2D structure. Results from phase tensor analysis are included, and the example is seen to be a dramatic instance of phase tensor analysis reducing an apparently 3D example to 2D characteristics.The Mohr circles of this example do not capture the axes origin, although there are phases out of quadrant. 磁梯度张量系统姿态的变化将影响梯度场测量和数据解释的精度,使得具有坐标变换不变性特点的张量不变量成为磁梯度张量数据解释的研究热点.本文在对磁偶极子产生的磁梯度张量进行特征值分析的基础上得到了:测量点与磁偶极子位置形成的位置矢量、磁偶极子磁矩矢量与绝对值最小的特征值对应的特征向量垂直;位置矢量和磁矩矢量与最大及最小特征值对应的特征向量共面,且两矢量间的夹角可由磁梯度张量矩阵的特征值表示.最后,将本文所得磁偶极子梯度张量的几何不变量用于磁性目标的跟踪中,取得了较好的实时跟踪效果.  相似文献

A new approach is proposed in order to interpret field self-potential (SP) anomalies related to simple geometric-shaped models such as sphere, horizontal cylinder, and vertical cylinder. This approach is mainly based on solving a set of algebraic linear equations, and directed towards the best estimate of the three model parameters, e.g., electric dipole moment, depth, and polarization angle. Its utility and validity are demonstrated through studying and analyzing synthetic self-potential anomalies obtained by using simulated data generated from a known model and a statistical distribution with different random errors components. Being theoretically tested and proven, this approach has been consequently applied on two real field self-potential anomalies taken from Colorado and Turkey. A comparable and acceptable agreement is obtained between the results derived by the new proposed method and those deduced by other interpretation methods. Moreover, the depth obtained by such an approach is found to be very close to that obtained by drilling information.  相似文献

A MS8.0 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China, on May 12, 2008, and subsequently, numerous aftershocks followed. We obtained the moment tensor solutions and source time functions (STFs) for the Wenchuan earthquake and its seven larger aftershocks (MS5.0~6.0) by a new technique of moment tensor inversion using the broadband and long-period seismic waveform data from the Global Seismic Network (GSN). Firstly, the theoretical background and technical flow of the new technique was briefly introduced, and an aftershock of the Wenchuan earthquake sequence was employed to illustrate the real procedure for inverting the moment tensor; secondly, the moment tensor solutions and STFs of the eight events, including the main shock, were presented, and finally, the interpretation of the results was made. The agreement of our results with the GCMT results indicates the new approach is efficient and feasible. By using this approach, not only the moment tensor solution can be obtained but also the STF can be retrieved; the inverted STFs indicate that the source rupture process may be complicated even for the moderate earthquakes. The inverted focal mechanisms of the Wenchuan earthquake sequence show that the most of the aftershocks occurred in the main faults of the Longmenshan fault zone with predominantly thrustingwith minor right-lateral strike-slip component, but some of them may have occurred in the subfaults with strike-slip faulting in the vicinity of the main faults.  相似文献

We have developed a least-squares minimization approach to determine the depth and the amplitude coefficient of a buried structure from residual gravity anomaly profile. This approach is basically based on application of Werner deconvolution method to gravity formulas due to spheres and cylinders, and solving a set of algebraic linear equations to estimate the two-model parameters. The validity of this new method is demonstrated through studying and analyzing two synthetic gravity anomalies, using simulated data generated from a known model with different random error components and a known statistical distribution. After being theoretically proven, this approach was applied on two real field gravity anomalies from Cuba and Sweden. The agreement between the results obtained by the proposed method and those obtained by other interpretation methods is good and comparable. Full Tensor Gravity Gradiometry (FTG) data are routinely used in exploration programmes to evaluate and explore geological complexities hosting hydrocarbon and mineral resources. FTG data are typically used to map a host structure and locate target responses of interest using a myriad of imaging techniques. Identified anomalies of interest are then examined using 2D and 3D forward and inverse modelling methods for depth estimation. However, such methods tend to be time consuming and reliant on an independent constraint for clarification. This paper presents a semi‐automatic method to interpret FTG data using an adaptive tilt angle approach. The present method uses only the three vertical tensor components of the FTG data (Tzx, Tzy and Tzz) with a scale value that is related to the nature of the source (point anomaly or linear anomaly). With this adaptation, it is possible to estimate the location and depth of simple buried gravity sources such as point masses, line masses and vertical and horizontal thin sheets, provided that these sources exist in isolation and that the FTG data have been sufficiently filtered to minimize the influence of noise. Computation times are fast, producing plausible results of single solution depth estimates t hat relate directly to anomalies. For thick sheets, the method can resolve the thickness of these layers assuming the depth to the top is known from drilling or other independent geophysical data. We demonstrate the practical utility of the method using examples of FTG data acquired over the Vinton Salt Dome, Louisiana, USA and basalt flows in the Faeroe‐Shetland Basin, UK. A major benefit of the method is the ability to quickly construct depth maps. Such results are used to produce best estimate initial depth to source maps that can act as initial models for any detailed quantitative modelling exercises using 2D/3D forward/inverse modelling techniques.  相似文献
