A theory for the bipole-dipole method of resistivity sounding is developed. Bipole-dipole apparent resistivities are related to Schlumberger apparent resistivities at two spacings. The theory can also be used to compute exact dipole-dipole apparent resistivity curves providing an improvement over the existing techniques which involve far field approximations. A comparison of bipole-dipole and dipole-dipole systems reveals the similarity between the two. However, the resolution of the bipole-dipole system depends on the azimuth angle. The flexibility of the theoretical expressions lead to a generalized field scheme independent of the bipolar or dipolar nature of the current source.  相似文献

利用三维(3D)全空间积分方程准线性解作为数值模拟手段,对包含电离层、大气层和地球介质层的“地-电离层”典型异常目标体多层介质模型进行了数值模拟,得到了偶极源长度100 km、电流200 A、收发距离远达1600 km的合理的异常电性目标体的电阻率-频率响应结果.通过对不同埋深异常目标体的电阻率-频率特征的讨论,认为当考虑电离层和大气层的“地-电离层”大尺度深层横向不均匀复杂介质模拟时,电磁场对深部目标体仍有很好的异常响应,但当异常体电阻率及同一电阻率的岩石埋深不同时,其电阻率-频率的响应特征有很大不同,这正反映了不同岩石物性参数的电阻率-频率响应特征.文中结果表明从长偶极大功率源(WEM)激励的电磁场观测资料区分岩石的电阻率参数是可能的,这为利用WEM观测资料建立电性参数和岩石/地层参数经验关系奠定了基础.  相似文献

The Mining Geophysics Institute of the University of Rome has tested focused electrode arrangements. These have been used both in the field for resistivity profiles in investigations for buried cavities and in the laboratory for model tests in an electrolytic tank with cylindrical and parallelepipedal bodies. Anomalous potentials due to superficial noise, assumed to be a hemisphere having an equatorial plane coinciding with the earth surface, have been calculated for focused current electrode arrangements. Similar anomalies have also been calculated for the Schlumberger arrangement. Model tests in an electrolytic tank have also been carried out for a Schlumberger arrangement and parallelepipedal buried bodies. It is interesting to know whether the focused current arrangements give better results than the Schlumberger arrangement. Since it is not possible to compare directly the results of the two arrangements, the comparison is made by considering the ratio of the anomalies to the superficial noise (considered as hemisphere) for Schlumberger and focused arrangements. The results of the comparison show that, generally, the focused arrangements give better results even in the presence of superficial noise.  相似文献

Gradient measurements in a homogeneous electrical primary field can easily be interpreted for simple models. The simplified solution (conducting or resistant body in a homogeneous space in a homogeneous electrical field) is often sufficiently accurate, as comparisons with the exact solution (body of finite resistivity in a homogeneous half-space in a quasihomogeneous electrical field) show. The exact geometry of the body cannot be determined by gradient measurements; the same anomaly of apparent resistivity can be caused by different bodies. In particular, the similarity between a sphere and a cube of the same volume is very high. There is a distinct influence of the resistivity of the overburden: the higher this resistivity is, the stronger is the effect caused by a buried body. If a deviation of 10% of the apparent resistivity is assumed as the lower boundary at which a buried body can be detected by gradient measurements, the depth of investigation for a three-dimensional body is approximately equal to its width; in the two-dimensional case the thickness of the overburden can be twice the width. If the overburden has a resistivity which is higher than the resistivity of the substratum, these depths are greater. The greatest possible depth is approximately three times the width of the body.  相似文献

This paper deals with the apparent resistivity as observed on the surface due to a dyke of arbitrary shape. In order to give a closed analytical solution it has been necessary to assume that the dyke is either perfectly conductive or resistive relative to the enclosing medium. Furthermore we have considered an infinite line source instead of a conventional point current source; however a simple integral transform is given to transform the point-source-data into the line-source-data. So the present study is equally useful where line sources are inconvenient to handle. Besides considering the conventional method of electrical surveying (bipole method) where the source and sink are separated by a finite distance, we have considered a new variation (unipole method) where the source and sink are separated by an infinite distance, and the source is split into two separate sources each of half strength. A series of apparent resistivity curves for both methods are presented for different parameters of the dyke. The usefulness of these curves lies mainly in the fact that they may provide the necessary guide-lines for semi-quantitative interpretation of the observed data.  相似文献

用石英砂、河砂和水泥模压制成1m×1m×0.3m的均匀和非均匀介质模型,对模型进行剪切和摩擦滑动实验,观测模型不同位置和不同方位的视电阻率变化幅度和各向异性特征. 均匀介质模型实验结果为:电阻率变化与测线的位置有关,距裂隙近的测线,电阻率变化幅度大,从百分之几到百分之几十;距裂隙远的测线,电阻率变化幅度小,从百分之几到不变. 对于非均匀介质模型,电阻率变化幅度要小一些,最大也只有百分之几. 电阻率变化除与测线的位置有关外,还与测线的方位有关,同一测点不同方位的测线,电阻率变化幅度不同,有的差别很大. 剪切与摩擦滑动两种加载方式的电阻率变化幅度数量级相同. 裂隙穿过部位及其附近测点的电阻率变化各向异性主轴方位解与剪切和摩擦滑动的实际裂隙方位吻合较好.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the effects of anomalous out‐of‐plane bodies in two‐dimensional (2D) borehole‐to‐surface electrical resistivity tomography with numerical resistivity modelling and synthetic inversion tests. The results of the two groups of synthetic resistivity model tests illustrate that anomalous bodies out of the plane of interest have an effect on two‐dimensional inversion and that the degree of influence of out‐of‐plane body on inverted images varies. The different influences are derived from two cases. One case is different resistivity models with the same electrode array, and the other case is the same resistivity model with different electrode arrays. Qualitative interpretation based on the inversion tests shows that we cannot find a reasonable electrode array to determine the best inverse solution and reveal the subsurface resistivity distribution for all types of geoelectrical models. Because of the three‐dimensional effect arising from neighbouring anomalous bodies, the qualitative interpretation of inverted images from the two‐dimensional inversion of electrical resistivity tomography data without prior information can be misleading. Two‐dimensional inversion with drilling data can decrease the three‐dimensional effect. We employed two‐ and three‐dimensional borehole‐to‐surface electrical resistivity tomography methods with a pole–pole array and a bipole–bipole array for mineral exploration at Abag Banner and Hexigten Banner in Inner Mongolia, China. Different inverse schemes were carried out for different cases. The subsurface resistivity distribution obtained from the two‐dimensional inversion of the field electrical resistivity tomography data with sufficient prior information, such as drilling data and other non‐electrical data, can better describe the actual geological situation. When there is not enough prior information to carry out constrained two‐dimensional inversion, the three‐dimensional electrical resistivity tomography survey is the better choice.  相似文献

2.5-D直流电阻率有限元数值模拟中,模型的剖分及加密主要通过手动实现.另外,采用的单元类型比较规则如矩形单元等,不易实现复杂模型的模拟.为解决上述问题,文中提出了一种自适应有限元算法.算法中采用稳健的后验误差估计来自动预测下一次网格的单元尺寸,直到设定的迭代条件满足为止.另外,采用非结构化三角形单元实现了任意复杂模型的灵活剖分.基于此,利用垂直接触面模型分析和对比了不同自适应策略的效率.通过对比发现,点源附近的单元得到了加密以消除源的奇异性.另外,对于任意一种策略,有限元结果均能最终收敛到精确解.最后,模拟了两个模型:2-D单个异常体模型和2-D地形模型.  相似文献

Boundary-value problems in steady-state current flow were solved numerically for one and two layers over a half-space. Solutions were obtained for layers of various resistivities where one of the current sources was placed below the surface and the second kept at some finite distance from the drill hole. When a fixed surface dipole receiving pair was used, it was found that as the buried source approached a conductive region, quite good determinations of the depth to the conductor could be made, hence reducing the possibility of extended drilling in “dry” holes resulting from poor surface data and/or interpretation. Numerous models were generated to find the optimum positioning of the two current electrodes for different field situations of this type. It was also found that by placing a current source in the conductive region, better resolution of the lateral extent of a possible ore zone could be obtained, due both to the more rapid convergence of the apparent resistivity to the resistivity of the conductor, and the fact that a smaller separation in the receiving dipole could be used. Numerous analog models were constructed to verify the digital results. Surface and down-hole resistivity field data are compared to show the strength of this technique in delineating structure.  相似文献

Electrical resistivity anomalies of a symmetrical four-electrode co-linear system across a single vertical discontinuity are treated in relation to: a) the ratio of potential electrode separation to the current electrode separation that are employed in the system and b) the angle which the electrode alignment makes with the discontinuity. Several conclusions are extracted from this treatment and methods for obtaining an optimum sensitivity of the system, with respect to these parameters, are shown. Disadvantages of special arrangements, such as the Wenner configuration, are indicated. Methods are outlined to utilise variations in the apparent resistivity plot for determining the angle between the electrode alignment and the discontinuity, quantitatively or qualitatively. These variations include certain deviations from the standard curves obtained in longitudinal traverses made at right angles to the discontinuity. Also, a comparison is made between longitudinal and cross traverses, in relation to the discontinuity.  相似文献

The magnetometric resistivity (MMR) method uses a sensitive magnetometer to measure the low-level, low-frequency magnetic fields associated with the galvanic current flow between a pair of electrodes. While the MMR anomalies of simple structures such as dikes and vertical contacts have been determined analytically, there is a lack of systematic information on the expected responses from simple three-dimensional bodies. We determine the characteristic anomalies associated with square, plate-like conductors, which are excellent models of many base metal mineral deposits. The anomalies of plates of finite size are determined numerically using an integral equation method. A plate is subdivided into many sections and the current flow within each section is solved by equating the electrical field within each section to the tangential electrical field just outside it. When the plate size is small in relation to either the depth or the transmitter spacing, the shape and amplitude of the anomaly produced is closely approximated by a current dipole model of the same length and depth. At the other extreme, a large plate is represented by a half-plane. The dipole and half-plane models are used to bracket the behaviour of plates of finite size. The form of a plate anomaly is principally dependent on the shape, depth and orientation of the plate. A large, dipping plate near the surface produces a skewed anomaly highly indicative of its dip, but the amount of skew rapidly diminishes with increased depth or decreased size. Changes in plate conductivity affect the amplitude of the anomaly, but have little effect on anomaly shape. A current channelling parameter, determined from the conductivity contrast, can thus be used to scale the amplitude of an anomaly whose basic shape has been determined from geometrical considerations. The separation into geometrical and electrical factors greatly simplifies both the interpretation and modelling of MMR anomalies, particularly in situations with multiple plates. An empirical formula, using this separation, predicts the anomaly of two or more parallel plates with different conductances. In addition, the relation between the resolution of two vertical, parallel plates of equal conductance and their separation is determined. The ability of the integral equation method to model plate-like structures is demonstrated with the interpretation of an MMR anomaly in a survey conducted at Cork Tree Well in Western Australia. The buried conductor, a mineralized graphitic zone, is modelled with a vertical, bent plate. The depth to the top of the plate, and the plate conductance, is adjusted to fit the anomaly amplitude as closely as possible. From the modelling it would appear that this zone is not solely responsible for the observed anomaly.  相似文献

本文以三层电剖面模型计算出由于电剖面参数变化而引起的视电阻率变化,进而说明因地下水位变化所引起的视电阻率变化是可能估计的。根据这个结果能够确定出由于地下水干扰所引起的视电阻率异常幅度,这将有利于视电阻率变化与地震关系的定性、定量分析研究。实际工作表明,视电阻率变化很复杂,许多因素都会使视电阻率发生变化,但水的影响很重要,因此,研究这个问题有重要意义。   相似文献

An earth model with a transition layer (anisotropic inhomogeneous) is considered. The inhomogeneity in σv (vertical conductivity) of the transition layer is represented by a power law variation. Expressions for potential distribution in the upper layer, transition layer and bottom layer are obtained by solving appropriate differential equation for each layer. By utilizing the boundary conditions, expressions of apparent resistivity for Wenner and Schlumberger configurations are derived. Numerical analysis is performed for linear and quadratic variation of σv. The results are presented in the form of theoretical apparent resistivity curves for both configurations. Negative apparent resistivities are the interesting feature of this analysis.  相似文献

The theoretical horizontal resistivity profiles over an outcropping vertical dyke for various parameters-electrode spacing, vein-width and resistivity contrast—with inline alpha, beta and gamma-Wenner electrode systems are described. The resistivity profiles present a most bewildering variety of shapes as compared to those in resistivity soundings. The analysis of type curves suggests suitable electrode configuration for detection of wide, moderately wide, and thin veins. The negative apparent resistivity values on the gamma anomalies for resistive vein over certain vein-widths of higher positive values of resistivity reflection factor contradict the concept of apparent resistivity hitherto held.  相似文献

将电阻率层析技术应用于地震监测,由视电阻率值重建出介质的真电阻率图像,取得了较好效果.在宝坻台和昌黎台设立的两个试验点上于1998年4月14日ML5.0和ML4.4唐山两次地震前的6天左右层析图像出现了明显的异常变化:宝坻台的电阻率图像一改通常的在平稳背景上叠加小量随机变化的特点,出现了一种有序性特征的新图样;昌黎台也出现了反差加大、高低阻区集中分布的有序性特征.上述异常图样均在震后消失.层析图像在震前出现的熵值降低可能是这次地震活动的前兆.地层导电结构和孔隙度的变化,是引起电阻率异常的直接原因.研究表明,常规的单一极距的视电阻率测量之所以对真电阻率的变化不敏感且丧失空间分辨能力,是由于该物理量同时具有积分值和位函数这两个固有特征所决定的.在地震监测中,改造现行观测系统,引入层析成像,是发展技术的方向.  相似文献

An account is given of the use of the square array technique in investigating the surface effects of rotational anisotropy when the axes of anisotropy are inclined to the surface. It is shown that, as with other arrays, two anisotropy parameters and n can be derived by varying the array orientation. On the basis of these considerations, the effects of such anisotropy on the values of the mean apparent resistivity and azimuthal inhomogeneity ratio normally obtained in square array measurements is reviewed. Particular attention is paid to the variation of resistivity with orientation and it is noted that, in areas of moderate anisotropy, this variation is lower for the square than for the Schlumberger array. In addition to this advantage, the azimuthal inhomogeneity ratio obtained from square array measurements may be used to indicate the severity of anisotropy in an area and two field examples of this use are given. Where anisotropy is severe, gross variations of apparent resistivity with orientation are obtained with either square or collinear arrays. In these circumstances, the use of crossed measurements is considered and the particular stability of the crossed square array demonstrated.  相似文献

Theoretical model study shows that when an earth model is composed of two (Cole-Cole) polarizable media, its normalized complex resistivity spectrum is approximately a multiplicative combination of the contributions of the two media. This also applies on inversion, but the two dispersions thus obtained are apparent rather than intrinsic dispersions. In models consisting of two media, either a multiplicative or an additive combination of Cole-Cole functions fits the complex apparent resistivity spectrum. On inversion each combination gives similar parameters except for the apparent chargeability of the component with the shorter time constant. However, this can be compensated simply. In this sense the two representations are almost equivalent. We show that the apparent spectrum due to a finite polarizable body is actually a true Cole-Cole dispersion, as is usually assumed in practice. The behavior of a complex apparent resistivity spectrum and its corresponding apparent Cole-Cole dispersion parameters is influenced by the variation of the dilution factor with frequency. Hence when estimating intrinsic parameters from the nomogram, based on constant (frequency-independent) dilution factors, particular care is required to correctly relate apparent parameters to intrinsic parameters.  相似文献

在一些地层层理发育的地区,地下介质存在显著的电各向异性,此时基于各向同性模型解释含各向异性效应的可控源音频大地电磁(CSAMT)测深观测数据会导致错误的结果.本文通过引入3×3的对称正定张量表征电导率各向异性,采用非结构四面体网格和矢量有限元方法离散电场满足的矢量Helmholtz方程,并将电磁场源等效为系列电偶极子,实现任意各向异性介质中CSAMT高效数值模拟.本文首先通过层状各向异性模型检验三维有限元算法的精度和有效性,进一步建立三维地电模型研究异常体各向异性和围岩各向异性对CSAMT响应的影响,最后使用视电阻率极性图来识别各向异性电导率主轴方向.数值模拟结果表明,各向异性电导率对CSAMT视电阻率幅值及分布规律都有很大影响,视电阻率极性图能够很好地识别各向异性主轴方向.  相似文献
