In the present study, nanocomposite polymeric membranes are fabricated using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), cellulose acetate (CA) as polymers, and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as the solvent. To enhance the performance of the membrane, nanoparticles like TiO2, CaO, CdO, and ZrO are added to the polymeric solution and the doped polymeric solution is cast on a glass plate. Nine combinations of membranes are fabricated with two different concentrations (0.1% and 0.2%) of nanoparticles. The basic properties of the membranes such as density, porosity, viscosity, permeability, pure water flux, and water content are studied for the samples. Membrane pore structure and surface properties are identified and it is found that doping nanoparticles on the surface of membranes improve mechanical strength, stability, pore size, etc., allowing the membranes to perform better in extreme industrial-level effluent treatment applications. High-resolution scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows the homogeneous dispersion of ZrO, TiO2, CaO, and CdO nanoparticles on the surface of the PVA-CA membrane. The doping of nanoparticles on the PVA-CA membrane results in improved mechanical strength and good chemical oxidation stability. In comparison, the PCD-TiO2 sample shows high thermal stability and oxidation stability at high temperatures until 200°C, which has a high potential for treating industrial effluents.  相似文献

In this study, the removal of nitrate ions from aqueous solutions with liquid membrane technique has been investigated for different organic solvent types in which solubilized tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (TDTMABr) as carrier. n-butyl alcohol, chloroform, and mixture of chloroform + n-hexane (n-hexane 85% + chloroform 15%) were used as organic solvent. Kinetic parameters (k 1d, k 2m, k 2a, t max, R mmax, J mmax, J amax) were calculated from obtained data. time R a values of mixture, butyl alcohol, and chloroform are 0.81, 0.78, and 0.55, respectively. Similarly R d, R m, and t max values of the mixture equal to 0.14, 0.04, and 87.92 min, respectively. This behavior of the system shows the organic solvent type is an effective parameter on separation yield. It can be concluded that the mixture is the most effective organic solvent type among the investigated ones, because liquid membrane systems should be operated within the range of having the R m, R d, and t max values are minimum while R a values are maximum.  相似文献

由于索膜结构的变形具有明显的非线性,使得传统的谱分析计算会带来的较大的误差,利用ANSYS有限元程序,对封闭式组合膜结构进行了自振特性计算,并输E l Centro水平波进行了动力时程分析。结果表明,对于索膜结构,时程分析方比谱分析法更为可靠;索膜结构耦合现象明显,结构响应复杂,地震下的位移变化显著;所讨论的封闭式组合膜结构工程中,中部和两侧膜面区域的地震反应较大,起封闭作用的膜面在地震作用下性能良好。  相似文献

Biological monitoring of metals in marine waters often employs tissue residue analyses from bivalves. Chemical residues in tissues do not elucidate biological injury, however, whereas biomarkers, do afford sensitive stress indices. Physiological and cytological responses were evaluated in laboratory experiments from the mussel Perna viridis in order to assess the species’ suitability for pollution monitoring in the tropics. Periodic copper exposure increased tissue residues but failed to perturb cardiac activity. Copper destabilized haemocyte lysosomal membranes in a exposure-dependent relationship showing a sensitive, rapid, indication of stress. Cytological biomarkers from P. viridis have potential as indices of pollutant exposure and could facilitate effective biomonitoring of water quality throughout South-east Asia.  相似文献

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), the major constituent of desizing water constituting 45% of the total BOD load has a significant environmental impact owing to its poor biodegradability. In order to prevent PVA from being discharged by the effluent stream, modern textile industries opt for membrane based separation techniques using ultrafiltration so that the recovery and recycle of PVA in tandem could be achieved. However, the process of ultrafiltration is still not widely accepted as expected due to the well‐known non‐idealities of concentration polarization and pore blockage. In this article, design and performance characterization of a lab‐scale novel shear enhanced ultrafiltration unit, named as spinning basket membrane (SBM) module are discussed. The proposed module is unique in terms of its inbuilt cleaning facility eliminating the effects of polarization and subsequent periodic fouling leading to its uninterrupted production operation. The test fluid, necessarily a solution of PVA was treated in the proposed module under different parametric conditions with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membranes of two different molecular weight cut‐off (50 and 100 kDa). After 2 h of continuous operation the permeate flux was observed to be within 95–97% of the respective initial fluxes. Such performance is rarely been attained in practice. Hence, the novelty of the present research is achieved. Considering the performance of the present module in terms of flux regeneration and product recovery, it may be regarded as an efficient device and can be potentially deployed for cleaning of other industrial wastewater.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of salt concentration on performance of a membrane bioreactor (MBR) for treating an olefin plant wastewater. For this purpose, a lab‐scale submerged MBR with a flat‐sheet ultrafiltration membrane was used for treatment of synthetic wastewater according to oxidation and neutralization unit of olefin plant. The synthetic wastewater was adjusted to have 500 mg/L chemical oxygen demand (COD). Trials on different concentrations of sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) (0–20 000 ppm) in the feed were conducted under aerobic conditions in the MBR. The results showed that increasing the salt concentrations causes an increase in the effluent COD, phenol, and oil concentrations. These results are due to reduction of the membrane filtration efficiency and also decline in the microbial activity that it is indicated by decreasing the sOUR in MBR. But in all the trials, the effluent COD and oil concentration was well within the local discharge limit of 100 and 10 mg/L, respectively. These results indicate that the MBR system is highly efficient for treating the olefin plant wastewater, and although high salt concentrations decreased organic contaminant removal rates in the MBR, the effluent still met the discharge limits for treating the olefin plant wastewater.  相似文献

地震及爆炸荷载下的结构连续倒塌问题对人民的生命财产造成重大威胁,是土木工程领域研究的一个热门方向。为了提高新型预应力空心楼板结构的整体性,防止由于竖向支承构件的失效形成楼板的局部或者连续倒塌,对2块新型预应力空心板足尺模型进行四分点静力加载试验,研究新型预制装配式两跨连续楼板的抗连续倒塌能力。试件均由预应力空心短板通过板端伸出U形筋和胡子筋进行对接连接,板侧纵向拼缝通过胡子筋和植筋与边梁的纵筋进行连接,2个试件的计算跨度相同。本文采用在加载过程中突然拆除中间支座,得到楼板破坏形态、裂缝发展、承载能力、应变、最大变形等试验结果。对试件的受力过程、悬索作用机理进行分析,最后得到楼盖拼缝及板侧边梁连接构造的布置合理,新型预制装配式楼盖采用合适的周边连系和横向拼缝连接可以达到理想的抗倒塌能力。  相似文献

A single bioaugmentation reactor and a side-stream gaslift membrane bioreactor combined with bioaugmentation are conducted to treat real wastewater from a centralized piggery slaughterhouse in Vietnam. The bioaugmented reactor is inoculated with heterotrophic microorganisms (Bacillus sp.) isolated from piggery slaughterhouse wastewater. The results of a single bioaugmentation experiment show high removal efficiency of chemical oxygen demand (COD) (84.8%–97.5%) and total nitrogen (TN) (69.9%–87.2%) at loading rates of 1.28–3.89 and 0.14–0.37 kg m−3 d−1, respectively. The combined system demonstrates a significantly higher TN removal efficiency (89.0%–96.1%) (p < 0.001), more stable flux (36.0–38.4 L m−2 h−1), and transmembrane pressure (0.95–1.05 bar), and better capacity of separation of solid–liquid phases compared to the single bioaugmentation. High COD and TN removal efficiency is possibly due to assimilation and simultaneous nitrification and denitrification processes. The results of this study also indicate the feasibility and propitious efficiency of the bioaugmented gaslift membrane bioreactor for piggery slaughterhouse wastewater treatment.  相似文献

In order to study the impact of produced water (PW) from a North Sea oil field on blue mussels (Mytilus edulis), chemical and biological markers were selected. A laboratory exposure (0.125%, 0.25% and 0.5% of PW) and a field study (6 stations 0.2-2 km from a PW discharge point) were conducted. In the laboratory study, PAH bioaccumulation increased in mussel soft tissue even at the lowest exposure dose. Micronuclei frequency demonstrated a dose-response pattern, whereas lysosomal membrane stability showed tendency towards a dose-response pattern. The same markers were assessed in the field study, biomarker analyses were consistent with the contamination level, as evaluated by mussel polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons body burden. Overall, obtained results confirmed the value of an ecotoxicological approach for a scientifically sound characterisation of biological effects induced by offshore oilfield operational discharges.  相似文献

Semi-batch seawater experiments were conducted to follow the uptake and release of selected PAHs (anthracene, fluorathene, pyrene and B[a]P) and organochlorine pesticides (-HCH, aldrin, dieldrin, p,p′-DDT) in semi-permeable membrane devices (SPMDs) and green-lipped mussels (Perna viridis). Mathematical models were applied to describe the uptake and elimination curves of the contaminants for SPMDs, and kinetic parameters, such as uptake rate constants, and equilibrium triolein/water partitioning coefficients were calculated. SPMD data showed a good fit to estimate rate constant and partition coefficient equations, but only those contaminants which partitioned mainly in the dissolved phase (-HCH and dieldrin) were well explained for mussels. Poor conformity of the other contaminants indicated mussels uptake by routes other than diffusion, such as ingestion of algae. An apparent equilibrium state was only noted for -HCH in mussels. Aldrin was not detected in mussels in the first few days of exposure, indicating potential metabolism of this compound. B[a]P was not detected in the triolein of SPMDs, which suggests that the membrane may act as a reservoir. Loss of spiked B[a]P from the triolein was evident in a depuration experiment, which may indicate transfer to the membrane. Rate constants for mussels were higher than those for SPMDs, but the reverse was true for partition coefficients. Overall, mussels and SPMDs had similar uptake rates for all compounds in this study, excluding p,p′-DDT and dieldrin. Contaminant elimination took place more rapidly in mussels, implying that SPMDs are better candidates for detecting episodic discharge of organic contaminants.  相似文献

The lysosomal membrane destabilization and the metallothionein content in the digestive gland cells of mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam.), collected along the east coast of the North Adriatic (Istrian and Kvarnerine coast, Croatia), were examined over a period of four years (1996–1999). The lysosomal membrane stability, as a biomarker of general stress, showed that the membrane labilization period in mussels from polluted, urban- and industrial-related areas was significantly decreased (p<0.05) when compared to mussels from control, clean sea water sites. In the harbour of Rijeka, the most contaminated site, the lysosomal membrane stability was reduced by more than 70% compared to the control. This method also proved to be a useful biomarker for detection of additional stress caused by short-term hypoxia that occurred once during this study inside the polluted and periodically quite eutrophic Pula Harbour. The concentration of metallothioneins in the mussel digestive gland, as a specific biomarker of exposure to heavy metals, did not reveal significant differences (p<0.05) between sites covered by this study.  相似文献

By using cellular biomarkers, such as the formation of the micronucleus, the morphometric alterations of lipids and the morphometric changes in the lysosomal system, we investigated effects of experimental exposure to phenanthrene, Cu, Cd, and Hg for 15 days in mussels. Concerning micronuclei, the evaluation of the total nuclear abnormalities, instead of the micronucleus only, as a biomarker of marine pollution, indicated more statistically significant differences between the control and the pollutant treated groups. Contrary to the existing knowledge showing that there is an increase in lipid content after pollutant exposure, our results showed that there was a decrease in the amount of lipid, as well as an increase in the number of neutral lipids. Furthermore, although prior studies found that fewer lysosomes formed after pollutant exposure, this was not confirmed by our work, as pollutant treated animals exhibited a decrease in the volume and an increase in the numerical density of lysosomes, compared to control groups.  相似文献

The interaction between membrane structures and their environment can be either static or dynamic. Static interaction refers to interaction with static air, while dynamic interaction refers to wind and its effects. They can be evaluated by two parameters, added mass and radiation /aerodynamic damping, which are experimentally investigated in this study. The study includes the effects of both the static and dynamic interaction on structural dynamic characteristics, and the relationship between the interaction parameters and the covered area of a membrane structure for the static interaction and the relationship between the interaction parameters and wind direction and speed for the dynamic interaction. Experimental data show that the dynamic interaction is strongly correlated with the structural modes, i.e., the interaction of the symmetric modes is much larger than the anti-symmetric modes; and the influence of the dynamic interaction is significant in wind-induced response analysis and cannot be ignored. In addition, it is concluded that the structural natural frequency is remarkably decreased by this interaction, and the frequency band is significantly broadened.  相似文献

水塘是连接上游集水坡地和下游水体的重要水文通道,也是氮素发生生物地球反应的重要场所.作为氮素高效去除的首要机制,水塘的反硝化脱氮潜力及其影响因素亟待揭示.本研究选择太湖上游丘陵区天目湖流域4类(茶园塘、村塘、养殖塘、林塘)共14个典型水塘为研究区,分别监测了其夏、秋季水质和沉积物变化特征,并利用膜进样质谱法(MIMS)直接测定水塘水体中溶存的反硝化产物N2浓度.结果发现,14个水塘上覆水中N2过饱和浓度在1.36~28.35 μmol/L之间,平均值为(8.23±6.04)μmol/L,夏季和秋季N2过饱和浓度分别为(8.81±4.08)和(7.64±7.46)μmol/L,夏季高于秋季,不同类型水塘N2过饱和浓度大小顺序为:茶园塘>村塘>养殖塘>林塘;结合水气交换通量模型估算了反硝化潜力,14个水塘的反硝化速率均值为(4.75±3.27) mmol/(m2·d),反硝化速率大小顺序为:茶园塘>村塘>养殖塘>林塘.相关分析结果表明,反硝化作用与水体中硝态氮浓度呈显著正相关,与溶解氧浓度呈显著负相关;反硝化作用同样与沉积物中硝态氮含量呈显著正相关,与容重呈负相关,说明水塘反硝化作用同时受上覆水中硝态氮、溶解氧以及沉积物容重等理化性质共同调节.进一步通过与传统的反硝化测算方法对比验证,发现采用膜进样质谱法并结合水气交换通量模型来估算水体反硝化潜力具有可行性,同时操作简便、所需样品少、测定速度快,适用于淹水环境反硝化作用的测定.  相似文献

在直径35.5cm、深100cm的试验桶内装填厚度80cm的江沙,选择形态和节数一致的菖蒲根状茎栽种到桶内江沙中,调节并控制试验桶水位埋深,模拟研究湿地水位埋深变化对菖蒲萌发和幼苗生长的影响.为湿地生态系统保育和受损区域植被恢复提供理论依据.试验结果表明:(1)水位埋深对菖蒲萌发和幼苗生长有不同程度的影响,水位埋深为-60cm至-20cm条件下菖蒲皆能萌发,且随着水位埋深减小,萌发率降低.试验70d,-20cm试验组菖蒲萌发率达到90%,分别为-50cm和-60cm试验组的2.25和3倍.而0cm水位埋深条件下,菖蒲不萌发;(2)菖蒲幼苗叶长、叶宽和叶面积随水位埋深减小而减小.各试验组间差异极显著(P<0.01),叶片数量也随水位埋深减小而减小,-20cm和-40cm试验组极显著高于-50cm和-60cm试验组(P<0.01),且-60cm水位埋深严重影响菖蒲幼苗的存活,试验70d后菖蒲幼苗相继死亡;(3)随水位埋深减小,菖蒲幼苗叶片Ch1.a和Ch1.b含量下降,Ch1.a/b升高,类胡萝卜素(Car)含量升高,植物通过形态调节和减少色素含量来减少叶片对光能的捕获;(4)水位埋深过小导致的低土壤水分含量还使菖蒲幼苗叶片细胞膜脂过氧化加剧,细胞质膜透性迅速增大;(5)水位埋深影响菖蒲幼苗叶片快速光响应曲线,水位埋深越小,ETRmax和最小饱和光照强度越低,光响应能力越弱,  相似文献
