区系是海藻生物地理研究的基本单位,是以一定时间、空间范围内的全部海藻为对象划分的生物地理单元,具有相对稳定的温度性质、物种组成和边界范围,且区系之间具有较明显的差异。然而,长期以来,海藻的区系研究仅以定生的底栖海藻为研究对象,对于漂浮海藻则没有明确的定位。近年来,世界各地漂浮海藻造成的藻华频发,在一些海域漂浮海藻已周期性存在,同时分子技术的发展为海藻生物地理学研究提供了有力支撑,为追溯、比较漂浮海藻及其与定生海藻的关系提供了可靠的参考。漂浮海藻对于认识全球变化和人类活动对海藻分布、适应与进化的影响具有重要的研究意义。本文结合漂浮海藻的特点和海藻生物地理学的基本研究方法,探讨漂浮海藻与海藻区系的关系,认为:(1)以海藻区系的标准尚难以对漂浮海藻进行明确定位;(2)漂浮海藻具有作为海藻区系之间联系途径的潜力。  相似文献

我国海岸线绵长,所属岛屿众多,除了台湾岛和海南岛两个大岛外,还有数以千计的中小沿海岛屿及众多的珊瑚岛,如我国三沙市的南海诸岛—西沙群岛、南沙群岛、东沙群岛和中沙群岛等。根据多年来我国科研人员在该海区的调查研究,对我国三沙市南海诸岛海区的海藻区系进行初步的植物地理学研究,以探讨我国该海域海藻区系的温度性质,以及与邻近海区海藻区系的关系。研究结果表明,我国三沙市南海诸岛底栖海藻区系与北太平洋西部海藻相同种数最多的是区系性质为热带性的南海南区,因此海藻区系的温度性质具有很明显的热带性。另外,三沙市南海诸岛海藻区系与印度洋海藻区系有很多共同成分,两地共有种数高达184种,为南海诸岛海藻总数的63%,进一步证明我国三沙市南海诸岛区系属于暖水性印度—西太平洋区,印—马亚区。  相似文献

甜菜碱是一种氨基酸或亚氨基酸的衍生物。1984年Blunden等用生物检测法测定海藻中细胞激动素的水平时,偶然发现了甜菜碱这类和细胞激动素有类似活性的化合物。目前已在两百多种海藻中发现了18种甜菜碱及3类甜菜碱脂。海藻中甜菜碱的分布十分广泛且结构多样。由于甜菜碱对植物的生长有明显的生理响应,所以被看作是海藻中的一类活性物质。 我国具有丰富的海藻资源,但对海藻中甜菜碱及其类似物的研究还未开展过,本研究旨在对我国的一些大型经济海藻中的甜菜碱含量进行测定,为含量较高的海藻资源开发提供依据。同时还对海藻中这类生物活性物质的提取建立基本的方法,以便为其作为药物和植物生长调节剂的开发打下基础。  相似文献

海藻区系的研究与其他动植物区系的研究一样,不但要对组成区系的种类进行分类研究,而且还要阐明这些种类的生态性质,从而确定区系的特点,特别是区系的温度性质和区系的起源,为进一步发展海洋生物地理学,为资源的开发、利用及养殖事业的合理布局提供参考资料。迄今,一般的海藻区系工作多停留在物种的描述;有的也讨论到地理分布,但很少深入分析区系组成种类的性质,以求认清整个区系性质的全貌。在这方面,海洋植物学是远远落后于海洋动物学的。当然,分类研究是区系的基础;没有准确监定的种  相似文献

本文报道了1986年7月至1988年10月在浙江北部中街山列岛潮间带进行的海藻定点定量调查结果,已鉴定底栖海藻94种。海藻组成以亚热带性与暖温带性种类占优势。区系性质与台湾暖流对本区的影响有关。底栖海藻的种类组成、垂直分布及生物量均存在明显的季节变化。本文对海藻生长的时空变化与某些环境因子间的关系作了分析探讨。  相似文献

大管岛礁区潮下带大型底栖海藻群落的初步研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
1990年5月和11月对大管岛礁区潮下带大型底栖海藻进行了两次定量调查。共采到23种大型海藻,其群落构成以红藻类占优。海藻种类的区系温度性质属明显的温水性区系。5月份平均生物量为240.939/m2,11月份平均生物量为164.399/m2。两季度月都以岛西侧的D7断面平均生物量最高,分别为820.159/m2和472.509/m2。就垂直分布而言,1—2米水层内海藻分布密度最高,达527.549/m2。优势种为海蒿子和石花菜。  相似文献

海藻场是生物多样性最高的生态系统之一, 其内部的沉积物有机质是支撑海藻场生物多样性的重要物质基础之一。本研究以浙江省嵊山岛北部无人村沿岸的天然海藻场为研究对象, 在大型海藻凋落期6~8月采集沉积物和端元生物样本, 分析了沉积物样本的粒径组成、总有机碳 (TOC)、总氮(TN)、碳氮比值(C/N)和碳氮稳定同位素(δ13C和δ15N), 通过贝叶斯稳定同位素混合模型评估了沉积物有机质的来源及变化规律。结果显示, 1)海藻场沿岸沉积物中粉砂占比最大, 砂的占比最低, 沉积物类型为黏土质粉砂; 2)沉积物TOC、TN、C/N、δ13C和δ15N范围分别为0.70%~2.41%、0.11%~0.41%、5.53~6.48、–21.79‰~–19.60‰和1.56‰~4.26‰, 在空间分布上, TOC与TN含量均随离岸距离增加而下降; 3)沉积物粒径组成、C/N比值、δ13C和δ15N之间的关系显示沉积物有机质主要来源于大型海藻和浮游植物的混合贡献; 4)根据贝叶斯同位素混合模型计算结果显示, 大型海藻对沉积物有机质贡献率在2.30%~45.60%, 在空间分布上, 大型海藻对沉积物有机质的贡献率随离岸距离增加而下降; 5)海藻碎屑产生量和沉积物有机碳沉积量评估结果显示, 大型海藻产生的碎屑有机质中有11.98%进入海藻场及沿岸海域的表层沉积物中。本研究为评估海藻场碎屑的产生规模和时空分布, 以及渔业资源养护功能提供了数据支撑。  相似文献

Floating seaweed is considered to be an important habitat for juvenile fishes due to the provision of food, shelter, a visual orientation point and passive transport. The importance of the presence of the highly dynamical seaweed clumps from the North Sea to juvenile neustonic fishes was investigated by analysing both neuston samples (without seaweed) and seaweed samples concerning fish community structure, and length-frequency distributions and feeding habits of five associated fish species. While the neustonic fish community was mainly seasonally structured, the seaweed-associated fish community was more complex: the response of the associated fish species to environmental variables was species specific and probably influenced by species interactions, resulting in a large multivariate distance between the samples dominated by Chelon labrosus and the samples dominated by Cyclopterus lumpus, Trachurus trachurus and Ciliata mustela. The results of the stomach analysis confirmed that C. lumpus is a weedpatch specialist that has a close spatial affinity with the seaweed and feeds intensively on the seaweed-associated invertebrate fauna. Similarly, C. mustela juveniles also fed on the seaweed fauna, but in a more opportunistic way. The shape of the size-frequency distribution suggested enhanced growth when associated with floating seaweed. Chelon labrosus and T. trachurus juveniles were generally large in seaweed samples, but large individuals were also encountered in the neuston. The proportion of associated invertebrate fauna in their diet was of minor importance, compared to the proportions in C. lumpus. Individuals of Syngnathus rostellatus mainly fed on planktonic invertebrates but had a discontinuous size-frequency distribution, suggesting that some of the syngnathids were carried with the seaweed upon detachment and stayed associated. Floating seaweeds can therefore be regarded as ephemeral habitats shared between several fish species (mainly juveniles) that use them for different reasons and with varying intensity.  相似文献

底栖海藻是海洋生态系统中重要的初级生产力,开展其固碳和储碳机制研究,有利于提高对我国海域海洋固碳和储碳潜力的认识。本文基于海区条件的模拟,开展了大连海域潮间带优势海藻的日固碳量、日呼吸量和日有机碳释放量的测定,结合海区生物量的调查,阐述了3个海藻床潮间带海藻固碳和储碳的季节变化规律。结果显示:在海藻固碳能力方面,绿藻类的固碳能力最强,褐藻类次之,红藻类最低。大连海域潮间带海藻的固碳量、储碳量和有机碳释放量在12月至5月处于较高水平,6月至11月较低,平均每个海藻床潮间带区域年固碳量和年有机碳释放量分别为1.72×105 g/a和2.1×104 g/a。潮间带海藻月固碳量是储碳量的1.7倍。  相似文献

Subtidal seaweed communities of the northern coast of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) have not been studied before. At Sodwana Bay, we tested the hypotheses that the seaweed communities would (1) differ floristically with depth, (2) be more species-rich in shallower water, (3) show similar biomasses within the depth range sampled and (4) be affected (biomass and/or species composition) by sand. Samples were collected (using SCUBA) from reefs ('sites') at depths of about 1m, 7m, 10m, 15m and 26m. Each sample comprised all macroscopic (non-crustose) seaweeds within a 25cm × 25cm quadrat (five quadrats per depth). Environmental factors, including percentage sand cover and depth, were recorded. The seaweed communities were mainly compact turfs; a total of 82 Rhodophyta, 14 Chlorophyta and eight Phaeophyta were recorded. Ordination (canonical correspondence analysis) and classification (Twinspan) of the data showed clear differences in the floristic composition (either as species biomass or presence/absence) with depth, mainly between shallow subtidal communities (0.5–1.0m depth) and those at intermediate depths (5.5–15.0m), followed by the deepest communities (25.7–29.0m) and those at intermediate depths. The shallow samples showed the greatest species diversity. Total seaweed biomass decreased significantly with depth and percentage bare (seaweed-free) substratum increased significantly with depth, possibly because of lower wave action, light penetration, or different grazing patterns. Sand (as percentage sand cover) also affected seaweed community composition, but this showed no pattern with depth. The algal communities on these reefs at Sodwana Bay showed exceptional α-diversity, with 104 taxa (>20% of the recorded KZN flora) occurring in the total sample area of only 1.56m2. The seaweed communities of northern KZN are structurally and floristically similar to those of other tropical coral reefs around the world.  相似文献

Reliable methods have been developed for the quantitative estimation of chitin, chitosan and chitin deacetylase in sediment samples, as well as two methods for the estimation of chitinase in these samples. The differing substrates used in the latter two methods have produced distinct ‘depth profiles’ for chitinase activity which suggest the presence of more than one chitinolytic system in the sediments of the Ythan estuary. Studies on the mineralization of chitin in these sediments have revealed a complex system with a number of unexpected features. The rate of chitin degradation was reduced in late summer, possibly due to the heavy seaweed growth which covers the mud flats at this time, although the potential degradative activities of the enzymes chitinase and chitin deacetylase were higher in summer than in winter. The proportional rates of degradation of chitin, chitosan and cellulose were similar in both the absence and presence of seaweed overgrowth, although the apparent rates of degradation of these substrates were higher in the absence of seaweeds. Core samples have indicated that the major input of chitin to the sediment ecosystem occurs via deposition at the surface, while the input of chitosan (the deacetylated polymer) occurs via its production within the sediment, primarily within the upper 5 cm of sediment. The concentrations of both these polymers decreased sharply below an ‘interface’ between aerobic and anoxic sediments.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to analyze the interaction of a non‐native macroalga (Acanthophora spicifera) with native macroalgae (Sargassum spp.) and sponge assemblages in a subtropical embayment of the Mexican Pacific. The intensity of A. spicifera epiphytism on the native seaweed Sargassum varied significantly over time and was inversely related to the Sargassum density and size. The higher intensity (up to 28 individuals per host plant) occurred when Sargassum was smaller and was lower in density (senescence period). The lower intensity was recorded during the growth period of Sargassum and the subsequent increase in intensity was attributed to a high fragmentation period of A. spicifera, which was evidenced by a decrease in its average size and biomass and by the presence of larger free‐floating accumulations on the subtidal zone. The facultative interaction between A. spicifera and Sargassum appears to be neutral, as no negative or positive effects were found for epiphytic or basibiont seaweeds. However, this invasive seaweed characteristically monopolizes almost all types of hard substrate, and its effects on other algae and benthic organisms should be investigated. Moreover, A. spicifera was often epizoic on epilithic sponges. This invasive seaweed was found anchored on the sponge tissue by rhizome‐like structures. In addition, free‐floating fronds of A. spicifera were frequently found carrying small pieces of the basibiont sponge in its basis (60% of them with eggs and embryos), which suggests a novel facilitation mechanism for some sponge species, as the A. spicifera epizoism could favor fragmentation, dispersal and recruitment of these invertebrates. This study shows that A. spicifera is not only a species that adapts rapidly to the new conditions of the receiving environment but, due to its epibiotic traits, it can directly interact with and influence the life histories of some native species.  相似文献

This paper examines the influence of aSargassum forest on temporal fluctuations in temperatures of surrounding water in relation to the thermal structure of water in and above theSargassum forest. Water temperature records were obtained at about one-minute intervals for almost two days in May 1977 during the season of luxuriant seaweed growth, and in August 1977 during the season of little growth. The fluctuations were divided into two types. (1) A diurnal fluctuation under the forest with about a three hour lag behind that above the forest during the season of luxuriant growth but with about a 30 min lag during the season of little growth. (2) Sharp spike-like fluctuations with periods shorter than five minutes appearing only in the dense canopy or floating seaweeds in the surface and subsurface layers during the period of luxuriant growth. The luxuriant forest ofSargassum seems to influence the spatial distribution of water temperature and consequently seems to induce the fluctuations mentioned above. The relationship between short period fluctuations and behaviours of larval fishes are discussed.  相似文献

Floating objects facilitate the dispersal of marine and terrestrial species but also represent a major environmental hazard in the case of anthropogenic plastic litter. They can be found throughout the world's oceans but information on their abundance and the spatio-temporal dynamics is scarce for many regions of the world. This information, however, is essential to evaluate the ecological role of floating objects. Herein, we report the results from a ship-based visual survey on the abundance and composition of flotsam in the German Bight (North Sea) during the years 2006 to 2008. The aim of this study was to identify potential sources of floating objects and to relate spatio-temporal density variations to environmental conditions. Three major flotsam categories were identified: buoyant seaweed (mainly fucoid brown algae), natural wood and anthropogenic debris. Densities of these floating objects in the German Bight were similar to those reported from other coastal regions of the world. Temporal variations in flotsam densities are probably the result of seasonal growth cycles of seaweeds and fluctuating river runoff (wood). Higher abundances were often found in areas where coastal fronts and eddies develop during calm weather conditions. Accordingly, flotsam densities were often higher in the inner German Bight than in areas farther offshore. Import of floating objects and retention times in the German Bight are influenced by wind force and direction. Our results indicate that a substantial amount of floating objects is of coastal origin or introduced into the German Bight from western source areas such as the British Channel. Rapid transport of floating objects through the German Bight is driven by strong westerly winds and likely facilitates dispersal of associated organisms and gene flow among distant populations.  相似文献

铜藻(Sargassum horneri)是主要分布于北太平洋西部的暖温带性海藻,是我国海藻场的重要组成物种之一,对于海洋环境、渔业资源具有重要支撑作用。除底栖生活外,铜藻可营漂浮生活。气囊和生殖托是铜藻适应漂浮生活的重要结构,但是二者与漂浮生活相适应的结构特点尚研究有限。本文对漂浮铜藻和底栖铜藻气囊、生殖托的数量以及主要形态学特征进行了统计学分析,结果显示:漂浮铜藻气囊体积显著小于底栖铜藻(P0.01),漂浮铜藻生殖托个数远少于底栖铜藻(P0.01),推测铜藻为了适应漂浮生境,其漂浮能力和有性生殖能力已经发生改变。  相似文献

伴随着经济的发展,我国沿海海域富营养化日趋严重。为了明确富营养化对底栖海藻群落的影响及作用机制,本文选择了与大连凌水河口(污水河)毗邻的海藻床作为野外观测点,研究底栖海藻群落对营养盐自然衰减梯度的响应规律;在实验室内,选择了在排污口附近优势分布、营r-生态策略的绿藻缘管浒苔和仅在寡营养区域分布、营k-生态策略的红藻柔质仙菜作为实验材料,开展了营养吸收动力学和生长动力学研究。通过二者在营养盐吸收、利用和繁殖策略方面的比较研究,剖析了底栖海藻群落对不同营养环境的响应机制。结果显示:随着海水中营养盐浓度的降低,底栖海藻群落呈现种类数增加、优势种覆盖度降低的趋势。根据底栖海藻在群落水平对氮源营养的响应,认为现行海水水质标准中无机氮一类水质标准的限值应该由目前的14.29 μmol/L降低为6.69 μmol/L。在富营养环境中,营养盐浓度的上升促进了r-策略海藻幼体的竞争力和种群繁殖力,使其占据了大量的生态位,形成优势种群,导致底栖海藻多样性较低;在寡营养环境中,由于得不到充足的营养盐供应,r-策略海藻幼体的竞争力和种群繁殖力都受到制约,占据的空间生态位有限,为其他种类的生存提供了条件,而那些对营养盐需求较低但利用效率高的k-策略海藻则表现出更强的竞争力,在竞争中取得优势,能快速突破早期环境筛的限制,形成成体,因此,在寡营养海域,底栖海藻的多样性比较丰富。  相似文献

While natural marine habitats with motion capabilities, e.g., kelps and seaweeds, have been studied alongside their associated fouling communities, little is known of the effect of motion on the communities of floating artificial habitats such as buoys, rafts, and pontoons, particularly in tropical systems. Hydrodynamic features greatly differ between floating and fixed artificial substrata, which in turn affect the structure of their associated communities. This study tested the hypothesis that floating and fixed artificial installations in a tropical reef system (Eilat, Red Sea) would support different benthic communities throughout space and time. Specifically, we examined differences in communities recruited onto settlement plates between floating and fixed installations deployed at three different sites, along a two-year monitoring period. The three sites exhibited distinct differences in species assemblages between the monitoring dates (6, 12, 18 and 24 months post deployment), mainly between the first and the last two dates. The average level of dissimilarity between floating and fixed installations increased over time at all sites. Over 50% of the dissimilarity between the floating and fixed installations resulted from five taxonomic groups i.e., bryozoans, bivalves, barnacles, sponges, including the amount of bare space on the settlement plates. The contribution of these groups to the dissimilarity changed both temporally within each site, and spatially among sites. The observed differences were related to the hydrodynamic characteristics of floating and fixed habitats, interacting with biotic features such as predation, successional processes and seasonality; and abiotic features including small-scale spatial changes, light, and position in the water column.  相似文献
