甘肃敦煌观音沟地区变质作用初步研究   总被引:9,自引:7,他引:2  
敦煌东南三危山观音沟地区,出露有石榴斜长角闪片麻岩,岩石中保存了三个阶段的变质矿物组合。进变质阶段的矿物组合(M1)以石榴子石变斑晶中的包裹体矿物组合(Hbl1+Pl1+Qtz1)为代表,形成条件约为550~575℃/5.2~5.7kbar(绿帘角闪岩相)。变质高峰期矿物组合(M2)主要由石榴子石变斑晶和基质矿物(Hbl2+Pl2+Qtz2±Cpx2)组成,形成温度670℃,压力11.9kbar(角闪岩相)。退变质阶段矿物组合(M3)为后成合晶矿物组合(Hbl3+Pl3+Qtz3),形成条件约为590~640℃/4.3~5.9kbar(角闪岩相)。观音沟石榴斜长角闪片麻岩记录了包含进变质、变质高峰、退变质过程的造山过程"西阿尔卑斯"型P-T轨迹,其中退变质阶段具有明显的近等温降压特征。变质作用P-T轨迹指示本地区可能经历了俯冲-碰撞-快速抬升的造山过程。结合年代学资料,该期造山事件可能发生于泥盆纪。  相似文献

太华变质杂岩广泛出露于华北克拉通南缘,总体呈SW-NE向展布.在河南洛宁地区,太华变质杂岩以TTG片麻岩、斜长角闪片麻岩和变泥质片麻岩为主.斜长角闪片麻岩中可识别出三个阶段的变质矿物组合:进变质阶段矿物组合(M1)为石榴子石变斑晶内部的包裹体矿物组合( Amp1+ Pl1+Qtz),变质高峰期矿物组合(M2)为石榴子石变斑晶边部和基质矿物组合( Grt2+ Amp2+ Pl2+ Qtz),退变质阶段矿物组合(M3)为“白眼圈”状后成合晶组合(Amp3+ Pl3+ Qtz).运用矿物温度计与压力计估算三个阶段的P-T条件分别为:进变质阶段约600 ~ 680℃/7.0~ 7.6kbar,变质高峰期为680 ~ 790℃/9.5 ~10.7kbar,退变质阶段为580~720℃/6.5 ~7.6kbar.变泥质片麻岩中保留了进变质阶段(M1)包裹体矿物组合(Bt1+Pl1+Qtz)和峰期变质阶段(M2)矿物组合(Grt2 +Bt2+Pl2 +Qtz)两个阶段.其中未发现后期退变质反应结构,石榴子石中也未发现成分环带.P-T条件估算结果分别为:M1阶段620 ~ 710℃/4.9 ~5.6kbar,M2阶段710~760℃/7.3~8.3kbar.洛宁地区太华变质杂岩记录了顺时针的近等温降压型的P-T轨迹,可能经历了与华北中部造山带其它杂岩类似的变质演化过程,推测其形成于华北克拉通东部陆块和西部陆块沿中部造山带的拼合过程中.SIMS与ICP-MS锆石U-Pb定年表明,斜长角闪片麻岩记录了1938~1967Ma的变质事件,比华北中部造山带其它变质杂岩区所广泛记录的~1850Ma变质事件早了约100Ma,暗示中部造山带的拼合可能是一个长期的、复杂的过程.  相似文献

长山子地区位于敦煌造山带东北部,瓜州南部约100km处。该区主要出露一套中-高级变质表壳岩,主要岩石类型有长英质片麻岩、变泥质麻粒岩、高压基性麻粒岩、斜长角闪片麻岩。高压基性麻粒岩岩块、斜长角闪片麻岩岩块以构造透镜体或布丁(长度为0. 5~15m)的形式,被夹持于长英质片麻岩、变泥质麻粒岩组成的基质之中,呈现典型"基质夹岩块"的混杂带特征。高压基性麻粒岩、斜长角闪片麻岩、泥质麻粒岩中,普遍保留了二至三个阶段的变质矿物组合。进变质阶段矿物组合(M1)为石榴子石变斑晶中的细小矿物包裹体,变质高峰期矿物组合(M2)为石榴子石变斑晶和基质矿物,退变质阶段矿物组合(M3)主要为围绕石榴子石变斑晶边部发育的"白眼圈"状后成合晶。本区各类变质岩石均记录了顺时针型变质作用P-T轨迹,系典型俯冲-碰撞造山带变质作用特征。退变质阶段P-T轨迹属于西阿尔卑斯型,说明变质岩折返速率较快。变质高峰期(M2)属于中压变质相系,P-T条件分别为790~870℃/1.29~1.37GPa(高压基性麻粒岩)、680~685℃/0.89~0.97GPa(斜长角闪片麻岩)、860~880℃/0.90~1.14GPa(变泥质麻粒岩),它们之间存在大的差异。这说明,它们是形成于同一俯冲隧道内不同深度的变质岩石,在构造折返阶段才混杂在一起形成构造混杂岩。二次离子质谱(SIMS)锆石U-Pb定年表明,长山子地区变质杂岩记录了早泥盆世的俯冲事件(419~417Ma)。  相似文献

出露于雅鲁藏布江缝合带北侧尼木县的变质岩主要由石榴黑云片麻岩和黑云斜长角闪角岩组成.研究表明岩石变质程度达到角闪角岩相-辉石角岩相;石榴子石变斑晶具有生长环带,角闪石均为钙质角闪石,黑云母大多为铁质黑云母和铁叶云母,长石多为更长石和中长石,少量为正长石.利用石榴子石-黑云母温度计、石榴子石-黑云母-斜长石-石英压力计和角闪石-斜长石温度及压力计计算获得石榴黑云片麻岩和黑云斜长角闪角岩的变质温度分别为619 ~661℃,695 ~ 702℃,压力范围分别为1.86~1.94kbar和3.69~4.56kbar.野外和室内研究认为岩石原岩为冈底斯带南缘叶巴组火山岩及其上部沉积岩,岩石经历了高温低压的接触变质作用.结合已有冈底斯带陆缘岩浆活动特征,对变质岩的形成环境和过程进行了反演.  相似文献

赞皇变质杂岩位于华北克拉通中部造山带中南段、太行山东麓低山区。出露于该变质杂岩区中南部的含石榴石的斜长角闪片麻岩、泥质片麻岩,均保存了三期矿物组合:进变质、峰期变质和退变质矿物组合。这两大类变质岩石中,进变质阶段矿物组合(M1)以石榴石变斑晶核部的包裹体矿物组合为代表,变质高峰期矿物组合(M2)由石榴石变斑晶"边部"和基质矿物组成,退变质阶段矿物组合(M3)主要是环绕石榴石边部发育的"白眼圈"状后成合晶矿物组合。泥质片麻岩中的石榴石变斑晶均保存了明显的成分环带,且在边部很窄的范围内XMn有所增加、Mg/(Mg+Fe)有所降低,指示存在变质高峰期后的退变质过程。温度与压力计算结果表明,赞皇斜长角闪片麻岩所经历的进变质阶段(M1)温度约为640~710℃、 压力约为8.2~8.6kbar;高峰期(M2)变质温度超过810℃,压力大于12.1kbar;退变质阶段(M3)的温压范围为590~670℃和3.2~5.6kbar。此前的研究已说明泥质片麻岩的进变质阶段(M1)变质温度为660~690℃,压力为9.0~9.2kbar;高峰期(M2)变质温度超过780℃,压力大于12.5kbar。变质高峰属于中压相系的顶部至高压相系的底部。斜长角闪片麻岩、泥质片麻岩均记录了典型的顺时针P-T轨迹,并显示近等温减压(ITD)的退变质片段。对泥质片麻岩中多颗锆石的变质增生边的SHRIMP U-Pb定年表明,变质高峰期时代为1821±17Ma。变质作用历史说明赞皇变质岩区卷入了华北克拉通东部陆块和西部陆块之间的俯冲-碰撞、随后的快速隆升过程,为华北克拉通中部造山带早元古代末期(~1850Ma)存在的造山事件提供了新的证据 。  相似文献

秦岭杂岩位于秦岭造山带北秦岭构造带,是研究秦岭造山带早古生代构造演化的重要岩石构造单元。喂子坪地区发育有典型的秦岭杂岩,其中的混合岩是由变沉积岩经历了强烈的深熔作用形成的。本研究对其进行了岩相学、变质相平衡模拟和LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb年代学研究,以深入揭示它们的变质温压演化特征,进而阐明它们指示的构造意义。混合岩的中色体由含石榴子石角闪黑云斜长片麻岩和含石榴子石黑云角闪斜长片麻岩组成。含石榴子石角闪黑云斜长片麻岩只记录了峰期变质矿物组合,为镁铁闪石+石榴子石+斜长石+石英+黑云母+钛铁矿+熔体,而含石榴子石黑云角闪斜长片麻岩记录了3个变质演化阶段,分别是早期进变质阶段(M1):黑云母+斜长石+石英; 峰期变质阶段(M2):镁铁闪石+石榴子石+斜长石+石英+黑云母+钛铁矿+熔体; 退变质阶段(M3):普通角闪石+斜长石+黑云母+石英+熔体。全岩成分视剖面图模拟计算显示含石榴子石角闪黑云斜长片麻岩和含石榴子石黑云角闪斜长片麻岩压力峰期的变质温压条件分别为790~810℃/990~1 040 MPa和840~862℃/1 000~1 190 MPa。含石榴子石黑云角闪斜长片麻岩3组局部矿物组合域成分视剖面图模拟计算得到压力峰期后变质阶段的温压条件为735~814℃/400~810 MPa、721~794℃/430~700 MPa、740~810℃/470~780 MPa。因此,本研究揭示了喂子坪地区秦岭杂岩片麻岩记录了近等温降压的p-T轨迹。LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb定年得到含石榴子石角闪黑云斜长片麻岩和2个浅色体样品中的变质锆石206Pb/238U加权平均年龄分别为383.2±7.0 Ma、400±3.6 Ma和406.7±7.8 Ma。结合已发表的数据,喂子坪地区变沉积岩麻粒岩相峰期变质作用和强烈的混合岩化作用的时代约为410~390 Ma,而约380 Ma的年龄可能代表退变质冷却到固相线的时代。片麻岩近等温降压的变质演化轨迹指示喂子坪地区秦岭杂岩的变沉积岩在下地壳经历了麻粒岩相变质作用和随后的快速抬升,与碰撞造山引起的地壳增厚和随后的地壳伸展有关。  相似文献

华山太华变质杂岩出露于华北克拉通中部造山带最南缘,区内斜长角闪片麻岩呈"透镜状"或"似层状"产出于黑云斜长片麻岩或TTG片麻岩中。大多数含有石榴子石变斑晶的变质岩中,保留了至少3期变形形迹和3个阶段的变质矿物组合。本文对斜长角闪片麻岩和黑云斜长片麻岩中的锆石,进行了SIMS和LA-ICP-MSU-Pb定年。斜长角闪片麻岩的岩浆锆石年龄为2.29Ga,表明其原岩形成于古元古代。斜长角闪片麻岩、黑云斜长片麻岩中的变质锆石及锆石变质增生边年龄为1.94~1.82Ga,表明华山地区比华北克拉通中部造山带中段及北段其他地区普遍记录的约1.85Ga的变质事件,不仅早了约0.1Ga,且变质事件持续达0.1Ga之久。这说明华北中部造山带前寒武纪期间的构造-变质事件是一个比较漫长的复杂过程。  相似文献

南阿尔金巴什瓦克地区石榴橄榄岩在空间上呈透镜体状与高压基性麻粒岩和含石榴子石长英质片麻岩伴生.基于矿物共生组合关系和变质反应结构特征,并结合矿物化学详细分析以及温压条件的估算,我们将该区石榴橄榄岩的变质演化划分为3个阶段:峰期变质阶段(Ml)、峰后早期退变质阶段(M2)和晚期角闪岩相-绿片岩相退变质阶段(M3).M1阶段的矿物组合为石榴子石(Grt)+橄榄石(O1)+斜方辉石(Opx)+单斜辉石(Cpx),所估算的温压条件为:T=891~ 1054℃、P=17.2 ~24.7kbar; M2阶段以石榴子石周围出现斜方辉石(Opx)+单斜辉石(Cpx)+尖晶石(Spl)的次生边为特征,在P=10kbar时,估算的温度条件为:T=711 ~ 796℃;M3阶段以形成角闪石(Amp)+蛇纹石(Srp)+金云母(Phl)+绿泥石(Chl)+磁铁矿(Mag)±滑石(Tlc)为特征.石榴橄榄岩具有与相邻的长英质麻粒岩和基性麻粒岩类似的P-T演化历史.结合成因矿物学和初步的地球化学特征,我们认为石榴橄榄岩的原岩可能为侵位于大陆地壳的镁铁质-超镁铁质杂岩,并在早古生代与长英质地壳物质一起俯冲,经历高压(超高压?)/高温变质作用以及随后的变质和地球动力学演化.  相似文献

太华变质杂岩("太华群")出露于华北克拉通中部造山带南缘,包括自西北向东南依次出露的华山、洛宁、鲁山、舞钢等四个出露区。鲁山地区太华变质杂岩中的斜长角闪岩类,变质演化历史记录得相对最为全面,其中普遍保留了三个阶段的变质矿物组合。第一阶段变质矿物组合(M1)为进变质组合,以石榴子石变斑晶中的包裹体矿物组合(石英+斜长石+角闪石±单斜辉石±钛铁矿)为代表,形成于约710℃/7.8kbar的条件下。第二阶段变质矿物组合(M2)为变质高峰期组合,以石榴子石变斑晶和基质矿物组合(角闪石+斜长石+石英±单斜辉石±钛铁矿)为代表,形成于约730~810℃/8.1~11.7kbar的条件下。第三阶段的矿物组合为退变质组合,以环绕石榴子石变斑晶发育的后成合晶矿物组合(石英+斜长石+角闪石±单斜辉石±钛铁矿)为代表,形成的温度与压力条件约为730~740℃/3.5~5.7kbar。这些斜长角闪岩类记录了顺时针变质作用P-T轨迹,其中包含近等温降压的退变质过程,其中变质峰期变质条件达高角闪岩相到麻粒岩相过渡区。二次离子质谱(SIMS)探针锆石U-Pb定年表明,变质锆石年龄介于1.93~1.87Ga之间。结合其他学者发表的资料,推测华北中部造山带的中段和南段似乎在~1.95Ga即已开始了俯冲-碰撞的造山过程,而且该造山过程几乎延续了150Myr之久。  相似文献

锡林浩特岩群出露于内蒙古锡林浩特市东南部,指原锡林郭勒杂岩中表壳岩部分,为一套片麻岩夹层状斜长角闪岩、磁铁石英岩和变粒岩等的变质岩组合。选取岩群中片麻岩及斜长角闪岩进行岩石学及岩相学分析,其中斜长角闪岩主要矿物组合为角闪石+斜长石;片麻岩样品中见夕线石+钾长石矿物组合,石榴子石具明显进变质环带,所以在计算其形成条件时选取了生长于峰期变质阶段的特定部位。运用角闪石斜长石、石榴子石黑云母矿物温压计分别估算锡林浩特岩群中准同时形成的变质基性火山岩及变质碎屑岩的变质温压区间。综合二者计算结果,得锡林浩特岩群峰期变质温压条件为660~707 ℃,0.5~0.6 GPa。变质达高角闪岩相。其变质年龄为1 000 Ma左右,推测锡林浩特岩群角闪岩相变质为中元古代末期锡林浩特微陆块与其他陆块碰撞的结果。  相似文献

阜平麻粒岩分布于阜平大柳树和坊时一带的原阜平超群下亚群索家庄组花岗质片麻碉中,以不同规模的透镜体,似层状体产出。麻粒岩主要由石榴石、单斜辉石、斜方辉石、角闪石和斜长石等矿物组成,含有少量的石英。根据岩石的矿物组合和结构特征可将其变质作用演化上个阶段;①石榴石中的角闪石、斜长石、单斜辉石等变质矿物包体代表峰前阶段;②粗粒平衡共生的角闪石、单斜辉石、石榴石、斜长石±紫苏辉石±石英等代表了峰期变质阶段;③ 石榴石变斑晶后生合品反应边中外侧细粒斜方辉石、斜长石和石英集合体代表了峰后变质阶段;④ 后生合晶反应边中内侧角闪石、斜长石等,代表了晚期退化变质阶段。这四个变质阶段演化的P-T条件依次为:峰前阶段636℃、0.824GPa.峰期阶段751℃~ 833℃、0.854~ 1.085GPa,峰后阶段670℃~ 740℃、 0.55~0.70GPa,退化变质阶段665℃、0.727GPa.构成了一条顺时针的P-T路径,反映了该变质区从早期褶皱增厚到晚期构造抬升的地质动力学过程。  相似文献

大同孤山石榴石基性麻粒岩出露在华北克拉通孔兹岩带与中部带的构造接触部位,以大小不等的透镜体形式产于孔兹岩带内的夕线石榴片麻岩和紫苏二长片麻岩中.根据岩相学观察、矿物化学研究、P-T视剖面图和传统温压计计算结果,揭示孤山石榴石基性麻粒岩经历了4个阶段的变质演化:早期进变质阶段(M1)的主要矿物组合为石榴石核心及其内部包体矿物单斜辉石+角闪石+斜长石+石英+钛铁矿±金红石.反环带斜长石富钠核部记录了早期压力可达11k bar;峰期变质阶段(M2)的矿物组合是石榴石斑晶和基质中的单斜辉石+斜方辉石+斜长石+钛铁矿+石英,记录的温压条件为850~900℃、9~10kbar;峰期后降压阶段(M3)的标志是石榴石外围发育的后成合晶和冠状环,主要有单斜辉石+斜长石、斜方辉石+斜长石和角闪石+斜长石组合,其形成温压条件为760 ~820℃、5~8kbar;晚期低角闪岩相角闪石的生长表明岩石又经历了降温冷却的过程(M4),温度降至690℃以下.石榴石基性麻粒岩记录了含有近等温降压(ITD)阶段的顺时针变质作用P-T轨迹,揭示了阴山地块与鄂尔多斯地块之间俯冲碰撞加厚下地壳的折返过程.石榴石基性麻粒岩的变质锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb定年得到了两组变质年龄数据,分别为1945±25Ma和1828±36Ma,它们与阴山地块、鄂尔多斯地块碰撞形成孔兹岩带的时代及华北克拉通东、西陆块碰撞形成中部带的时代一致.结合该地区其他研究结果推断,石榴石基性麻粒岩在~ 1.95Ga鄂尔多斯地块与阴山地块碰撞过程中俯冲进入下地壳底部,经历早期的高压麻粒岩阶段,随后缓慢地抬升到下地壳上部;之后在~1.85Ga东、西部陆块碰撞过程中,石榴石基性麻粒岩折返到中上地壳.  相似文献

In the Boi Massif of Western Timor the Mutis Complex, which is equivalent to the Lolotoi Complex of East Timor, is composed of two lithostratigraphical components: various basement schists and gneisses; and the dismembered remnants of an ophiolite. Cordierite-bearing pelitic schists and gneisses carry an early mineral assemblage of biotite + garnet + plagioclase + Al-silicate, but contain no prograde muscovite; sillimanite occurs in a textural mode which suggests that it replaced and pseudomorphed kyanite at an early stage and some specimens of pelitic schist contain tiny kyanite relics in plagioclase. Textural relations between, and mineral chemistries of, ferro-magnesian phases in these pelitic chists and gneisses suggest that two discontinuous reactions and additional continuous compositional changes have been overstepped, possibly with concomitant anatexis, as a result of decrease in Pload during high temperature metamorphism. The simplified reactions are: garnet and/or biotite + sillimanite + quartz + cordierite + hercynite + ilmenite + excess components. P-T conditions during the development of the early mineral assemblage in the pelitic gneisses are estimated to have been P + 10 kbar and T > 750°C, based upon the plagioclase-garnet-Al-silicate-quartz geobarometer and the garnet-biotite geothermometer. P-T conditions during the subsequent development of cordierite-bearing mineral assemblages in the pelitic gneisses are estimated to have been P + 5 kbar and T + 700°C with XH2O < 0.5, based upon the Fe content of cordierite occurring in the assemblage quartz + plagioclase + sillimanite + biotite + garnet + cordierite coexisting with melt. Final equilibration between some of the phases suggests that conditions dropped to P > 2.3 kbar and T > 600°C. A similar exhumation P-T path is suggested for the pelitic schists with early metamorphic conditions of P > 6.2 kbar and T > 745°C and subsequent development of cordierite under conditions in the range P = 3-4 kbar and T = 600-700°C. The tectonic implications of these P-T estimates are discussed and it is concluded that the P-T path followed by these rocks was caused by decompression during rifting and synmetamorphic ophiolite emplacement resulting from processes during the initiation and development of a convergent plate junction located in Southeast Asia during late Jurassic to Cretaceous time.  相似文献

定结(Dinggye)位于藏南高喜马拉雅结晶岩系的中部,研究该区域麻粒岩的变质P-T轨迹对于理解青藏高原的碰撞和抬升过程至关重要.通过对该地区的高压基性麻粒岩(退变榴辉岩)的岩相学观察,确定了4期矿物组合:(1)峰期榴辉岩相矿物组合(M1)由石榴子石(核部)+绿辉石(假象)+石英+金红石组成;(2)高压麻粒岩相矿物组合(M2)主要由石榴子石(幔部)+单斜辉石+斜长石+钛铁矿+角闪石+黑云母组成;(3)中压麻粒岩相矿物组合(M3)由石榴子石(边缘)+斜方辉石+斜长石+钛铁矿+黑云母组成;(4)角闪岩相矿物组合(M4)主要由角闪石+斜长石组成.在NCFMASHTO体系下,用THERMOCALC软件对该高压基性麻粒岩进行了热力学模拟.结合传统温压计和平均温压计计算结果,求得M2、M3、M4阶段的温压条件分别为786~826 ℃、0.78~0.96 GPa;798~850 ℃、0.71~0.75 GPa;610~666 ℃、0.51~0.60 GPa,这指示了一条以峰期后近等温降压(ITD)为特征的顺时针P-T轨迹.结合已有地质资料,表明定结高压基性麻粒岩(退变榴辉岩)是喜马拉雅碰撞造山的产物,峰期后经历了近等温降压的构造抬升过程.   相似文献

大量来自于华北陆块的高压变质岩被发现发育于苏鲁构造杂岩带中,给俯冲带上盘物质如何卷入陆-陆俯冲碰撞作用的研究带来新的契机.通过对乳山地区(含榴)斜长角闪岩进行岩石学、矿物化学及相平衡模拟的研究,发现其保留有3个不同变质演化阶段的矿物组合,峰前矿物组合为粗粒石榴子石+斜长石+角闪石+石英+钛铁矿;峰期矿物组合由石榴子石+单斜辉石+斜长石+角闪石+石英+钛铁矿组成,为典型高角闪岩相矿物组合;峰后退变质阶段矿物组合为角闪石+斜长石+石英+石榴子石+钛铁矿,发育有典型的“白眼圈”结构.相平衡模拟与温压计算表明,乳山午极石榴斜长角闪岩峰前变质阶段的P-T条件分别为P=6.4~7.0 kbar、T=610~640℃,表明其俯冲至30 km左右的地壳深度;峰期变质阶段P-T条件分别为P=9.3~10.0 kbar、T=700~730℃,表明其已俯冲至36~40 km的地壳深度,峰后退变质阶段P-T条件分别为P=5.2~5.8 kbar、T=680~710℃.锆石U-Pb定年结果表明乳山午极石榴斜长角闪岩原岩时代为1 734±24 Ma,龙角山水库斜长角闪岩变质时代为1 849±28 Ma,研究表明二者均来源于华北构造岩片.结合前人研究资料,推测乳山地区石榴斜长角闪岩原岩可能经历三叠纪俯冲作用并发生变质;其与杂岩带中来自华南的构造岩片发生混杂,共同构成华北-华南板块间宽约80~100 km的构造杂岩带.   相似文献

Thermobarometric estimates for Lesser and Greater Himalayan rocks combined with detailed structural mapping in the Modi Khola valley of central Nepal reveal that large displacement thrust-sense and normal-sense faults and ductile shear zones mostly control the spatial pattern of exposed metamorphic rocks. Individual shear zone- or fault-bounded domains contain rocks that record approximately the same peak metamorphic conditions and structurally higher thrust sheets carry higher grade rocks. This spatial pattern results from the kinematics of thrust-sense faults and shear zones, which usually place deeper, higher grade rocks on shallower, lower grade rocks. Lesser Himalayan rocks in the hanging wall of the Ramgarh thrust equilibrated at about 9 kbar and 580°C. There is a large increase in recorded pressures and temperatures across the Main Central thrust. Data presented here suggest the presence of a previously unrecognized normal fault entirely within Greater Himalayan strata, juxtaposing hanging wall rocks that equilibrated at about 11 kbar and 720°C against footwall rocks that equilibrated at about 15 kbar and 720°C. Normal faults occur at the structural top and within the Greater Himalayan series, as well as in Lesser Himalayan strata 175 and 1,900 m structurally below the base of the Greater Himalayan series. The major mineral assemblages in the samples collected from the Modi Khola valley record only one episode of metamorphism to the garnet zone or higher grades, although previously reported ca. 500 Ma concordant monazite inclusions in some Greater Himalayan garnets indicate pre-Cenozoic metamorphism.  相似文献

The ultrahigh-temperature (UHT) metamorphism of the Napier Complex is characterized by the presence of dry mineral assemblages, the stability of which requires anhydrous conditions. Typically, the presence of the index mineral orthopyroxene in more than one lithology indicates that H2O activities were substantially low. In this study, we investigate a suite of UHT rocks comprising quartzo-feldspathic garnet gneiss, sapphirine granulite, garnet-orthopyroxene gneiss, and magnetite-quartz gneiss from Tonagh Island. High Al contents in orthopyroxene from sapphirine granulite, the presence of an equilibrium sapphirine-quartz assemblage, mesoperthite in quartzo-feldspathic garnet gneiss, and an inverted pigeonite-augite assemblage in magnetite-quartz gneiss indicate that the peak temperature conditions were higher than 1,000 °C. Petrology, mineral phase equilibria, and pressure-temperature computations presented in this study indicate that the Tonagh Island granulites experienced maximum P-T conditions of up to 9 kbar and 1,100 °C, which are comparable with previous P-T estimates for Tonagh and East Tonagh Islands. The textures and mineral reactions preserved by these UHT rocks are consistent with an isobaric cooling (IBC) history probably following an counterclockwise P-T path. We document the occurrence of very high-density CO2-rich fluid inclusions in the UHT rocks from Tonagh Island and characterize their nature, composition, and density from systematic petrographic and microthermometric studies. Our study shows the common presence of carbonic fluid inclusions entrapped within sapphirine, quartz, garnet and orthopyroxene. Analysed fluid inclusions in sapphirine, and some in garnet and quartz, were trapped during mineral growth at UHT conditions as 'primary' inclusions. The melting temperatures of fluids in most cases lie in the range of -56.3 to -57.2 °C, close to the triple point for pure CO2 (-56.6 °C). The only exceptions are fluid inclusions in magnetite-quartz gneiss, which show slight depression in their melting temperatures (-56.7 to -57.8 °C) suggesting traces of additional fluid species such as N2 in the dominantly CO2-rich fluid. Homogenization of pure CO2 inclusions in the quartzo-feldspathic garnet gneiss, sapphirine granulite, and garnet-orthopyroxene gneiss occurs into the liquid phase at temperatures in the range of -34.9 to +4.2 °C. This translates into very high CO2 densities in the range of 0.95-1.07 g/cm3. In the garnet-orthopyroxene gneiss, the composition and density of inclusions in the different minerals show systematic variation, with highest homogenization temperatures (lowest density) yielded by inclusions in garnet, as against inclusions with lowest homogenization (high density) in quartz. This could be a reflection of continued recrystallization of quartz with entrapment of late fluids along the IBC path. Very high-density CO2 inclusions in sapphirine associated with quartz in the Tonagh Island rocks provide potential evidence for the involvement of CO2-rich fluids during extreme crustal temperatures associated with UHT metamorphism. The estimated CO2 isochores for sapphirine granulite intersect the counterclockwise P-T trajectory of Tonagh Island rocks at around 6-9 kbar at 1,100 °C, which corresponds to the peak metamorphic conditions of this terrane derived from mineral phase equilibria, and the stability field of sapphirine + quartz. Therefore, we infer that CO2 was the dominant fluid species present during the peak metamorphism in Tonagh Island, and interpret that the fluid inclusions preserve traces of the synmetamorphic fluid from the UHT event. The stability of anhydrous minerals, such as orthopyroxene, in the study area might have been achieved by the lowering of H2O activity through the influx of CO2 at peak metamorphic conditions (>1,100 °C). Our microthermometric data support a counterclockwise P-T path for the Napier Complex.  相似文献

海阳所堆积辉长岩由橄长岩、橄榄辉长岩和辉长岩组成。在橄长岩和橄榄辉长岩中发育有典型的变质反应结构:主要为橄榄石与斜长石之间形成由斜方辉石、尖晶石、角闪石和石榴石等矿物组成的多期次次变边,并有三个不同世代变质矿物,早期Cpx+Opx+Spl,中期Amp,晚期Grt;期次是钛铁矿与斜长石之间形成石榴石次变边,相对比较简单,只有一个世代变质矿物,为Grt+Amp+Rut或Grt+Rut岩中石榴石是通过斜长石与角闪石或斜长石与钛铁矿之间的变质反应形成的,虽为峰值变质作用的产物,但变质反应的期次及类型不同导致了所形成石榴石的温度和压力有所不同。堆积辉长岩形成演化的温压计算表明,堆积辉长岩在经过近等压降温的岩浆作用之后的变质作用早期,仍为近等压降温,而晚期则表现为近等温升压。这一特殊的P-T演化可能反映了堆积辉长冷侵位与深俯冲特征。  相似文献

依据对大别山太湖地区宿松变质杂岩中的石榴斜长角闪岩的岩相学、矿物成份分析和P-T条件评价,将变质作用分为Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ和Ⅳ4个阶段,其中Ⅰ、Ⅱ阶段经历了绿帘角闪岩相的变质;Ⅲ阶段为峰期变质,变质条件为T=580℃,P=1.31GPa,为角闪石—榴辉岩相变质;Ⅳ阶段为绿片岩相变质。构建的P-T轨迹显示了顺时针的演化特征,反映了宿松变质杂岩分阶段的、不等速的俯冲和折返过程:早期短暂的迅速俯冲→峰期缓慢俯冲→晚期可能的相对缓慢抬升。研究表明宿松变质杂岩的峰期变质条件偏离“俯冲梯度”线,显示了大幅增温、压力变化轻微的特征,这一增温可能是由于受到扰动的热结构恢复所致。结合前人对高压榴辉岩的峰期变质条件的研究,认为宿松变质杂岩与高压-超高压榴辉岩单元至少有0.5GPa的压力差,约15km厚的地壳损失,两者为太湖—马庙断层(F2)所分隔。  相似文献
