殷店—马垅断裂带是桐柏—大别造山带南缘一条重要的韧性断裂带,是桐柏—大别造山带内部发育的一条明显的岩地层单元界线,同时也是华北和扬子两大板碰撞挤压的产物。它与桐柏—大别造山带的形成,发展和演化,有着密不可分的联系。通过对殷店—马垅断裂带东西段野外岩性剖面对比分析、显微构造对比、有限应变测量对比分析、应力场分析等,发现尽管东、西段构造特征略有差异,但是殷店—马垅断裂整体是具有右旋运动性质的剪切带,殷店—马垅断裂带的形成对华北与扬子碰撞所产生的应力具有消减转移效应,它本身是一个塑性剪切最强的断裂带,它反映了造山带内部不同岩性的块体之间右旋流变的运动学模式,同时也可能充当着桐柏—大别山核部岩块相对扬子板块向东运动的的"润滑带"。  相似文献

Quantifying the variability and allocation patterns of aboveground carbon stocks across plantation forests is central in deriving accurate and reliable knowledge and understanding of the extent to which these species contribute to the global carbon cycle and towards minimizing climate change effects. The principal objective of this study was to quantify the variability and allocation patterns of aboveground carbon stocks across Pinus and Eucalyptus plantation forests, tree-structural attributes (i.e. stems, barks, branches and leaves) and age groups, using models developed based on remotely sensed data. The results of this study demonstrate that aboveground carbon stocks significantly (α = 0.05) vary across different plantation forest species types, structural attributes and age. Pinus taeda and Eucalyptus grandis species contained aboveground carbon stocks above 110 t C ha−1, and Eucalyptus dunii had 20 t C ha−1. Across plantation forest tree structural attributes, stems contained the highest aboveground carbon stocks, when compared to barks, branches and leaves. Aboveground carbon stock estimates also varied significantly (α = 0.05) with stand age. Mature plantation forest species (i.e. between 7 and 20 years) contained the highest aboveground carbon stock estimates of approximately 120 t C ha−1, when compared to younger species (i.e. between 3 and 6 years), which had approximately 20 t C ha−1. The map of aboveground carbon stocks showed distinct spatial patterns across the entire study area. The findings of this study are important for understanding the contribution of different plantation forest species, structural attributes and age in the global carbon cycle and possible climate change moderation measures. Also, this study demonstrates that data on vital tree structural attributes, previously difficult to obtain, can now be easily derived from cheap and readily-available satellite data for inventorying carbon stocks variability.  相似文献

Proponents of payments for ecosystem services (PES) schemes advocate targeting payments to geographical areas that can: (a) maintain or enhance ecosystem services, (b) permit economically efficient arrangements and (c) address poverty objectives. The location of these efficient, effective and equitable (or triple-win) solutions is viewed as the ‘holy grail’ of PES and is often sought in isolation to broader socio-economic pressures, political relationships, or local cultural conditions. While the plethora of PES design perspectives often follow the concepts of efficiency and effectiveness, they seldom relate to pluralistic value systems and may disparage local self-determination for influencing the form and terms of negotiation. This paper critically analyses the assumptions underpinning the design of PES schemes which seek to optimise or target efficient, effective and poverty objectives. Using a case study for a proposed PES initiative in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, we employ spatial analysis to geographically visualise the discrepancy between the location for a typology of targeted objectives and actual preferences which support local perceptions of natural resource use and conservation. The case study highlights the inequity inherent in targeting payments under a neoliberal framing. Instead, spatially differentiating incentives according to socially determined priorities and collective management is suggested.  相似文献

This paper investigates the spaces for participation that have been created by readiness preparations launched in connection with the international initiative “Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation” (REDD+) in Colombia and Costa Rica. I analyse the emergence of these spaces and who is leading the process in each country. My findings indicate that in Costa Rica, the public sector is leading preparation activities and creating the public spaces for participation in REDD to which private actors are invited. In Colombia on the other hand, NGOs, development assistance agencies and other private actors are leading the process and the state is the invited actor. I identify four factors that determine the scope of different actors’ possibilities to participate in the REDD+ spaces. These are (a) control of key resources, (b) ideological affinity, (c) the creation and dissemination of information and knowledge, and (d) the creation of norms to validate REDD+ pilot initiatives. The separation between these factors is not clear-cut and consequently they reinforce each other at different levels. The research presented here contributes to a better understanding of the implications that national REDD+ politics may have in the future functioning of the programme.  相似文献

The effect of fluorine on the solubilities of Mn-columbite (MnNb2O6), Mn-tantalite (MnTa2O6), zircon (ZrSiO4) and hafnon (HfSiO4) were determined in highly fluxed, water-saturated haplogranitic melts at 800 to 1000 °C and 2 kbar. The melt composition corresponds to the intersection of the granite minimum with the albite–orthoclase tieline (Ab72Or28) in the quartz–albite–orthoclase system (Q–Ab–Or), which is representative of a highly fluxed melt, from which high field strength element minerals may crystallize. The melt contains 1.7 wt.% P2O5, 1.05 wt.% Li2O and 1.83 wt.% B2O3. The main purpose of this study is to examine the effect of F on columbite, tantalite, zircon and hafnon solubility for a melt with this composition. Up to 6 wt.% fluorine was added as AgF in order to keep the aluminum saturation index (ASI, molar Al/[Na + K]) of the melt constant. In an additional experiment F was added as AlF3 to make a glass peraluminous. The nominal ASI of the melts are close to 1 for the minimum composition and approximately 1.32 in peraluminous glasses, but if Li is considered as an alkali, the molar ratio Al/[Na + K + Li] of the melts are alkaline (0.87) and subaluminous (1.09), respectively.The molar solubility products [MnO] 1 [Nb2O5] and [MnO] 1 [Ta2O5] are nearly independent of the F content of the melt, at approximately 18.19 ± 1.2 and 43.65 ± 2.5 × 10 4 (mol2/kg2), respectively for the minimum composition. By contrast, there is a positive dependence of zircon and hafnon solubilities on the fluorine content in the minimum composition, which increases from 2.03 ± 0.03 × 10 4 (mol/kg) ZrO2 and 4.04 ± 0.2 × 10 4 (mol/kg) HfO2 for melts with 0 wt.% F to 3.81 ± 0.3 × 10 4 (mol/kg) ZrO2 and 6.18 ± 0.04 × 10 4 (mol/kg) HfO2 for melts with 8 wt.% F. Comparison of the data from this work and previous studies indicates that ASI of the melt seems to have a stronger effect than the contents of fluxing elements in the melt and the overall conclusion is that fluorine is less important (relative to melt compositions) than previously thought for the control on the behavior of high field strength elements in highly evolved granitic melts. Moreover, this study confirms that although Nb, Ta, Zr and Hf are all high field strength elements, Nb–Ta and Zr–Hf are complexed differently in the melt.  相似文献

Abstract

Image texture interpretation is an important aspect of the computer‐assisted discrimination of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sea‐ice imagery. Co‐occurrence probabilities are the most common approach used to solve this problem. However, other texture feature extraction methods exist that have not been fully studied for their ability to interpret SAR sea‐ice imagery. Gabor filters and Markov random fields (MRF) are two such methods considered here. Classification and significance level testing shows that co‐occurrence probabilities classify the data with the highest accuracy, with Gaborfilters a close second. MRF results significantly lag Gabor and co‐occurrence results. However, the MRF features are uncorrelated with respect to co‐occurrence and Gabor features. The fused co‐occurrence/MRF feature set achieves higher performance. In addition, it is demonstrated that uniform quantization is a preferred quantization method compared to histogram equalization.  相似文献

This contribution to the 100th commemoration of the discovery of cosmic rays (6–8 August, 2012 in Bad Saarow, Germany) is about observations of those cosmic rays that are sensitive to the structure and the dynamics of the heliosphere. This places them in the energy range of 107–1010 eV. For higher energies the heliosphere becomes transparent; below this energy range the particles become strictly locked into the solar wind. Rather than give a strict chronological development, the paper is divided into distinct topics. It starts with the Pioneer/Voyager missions to the outer edges of the heliosphere, because the most recent observations indicate that a distinct boundary of the heliosphere might have been reached at the time of the meeting. Thereafter, the Ulysses mission is described as a unique one because it is still the only spacecraft that has explored the heliosphere at very high latitudes. Next, anomalous cosmic rays, discovered in 1972–1974, constitute a separate component that is ideally suited to study the acceleration and transport of energetic particles in the heliosphere. At this point the history and development of ground-based observations is discussed, with its unique contribution to supply a stable, long-term record. The last topic is about solar energetic particles with energies up to ∼1010 eV.  相似文献
