Solar evaporation studies of subsoil brines from three different locations of Gujarat State in India were undertaken. Evaporation
of brines from their initial densities to 29-30°Be’ density was studied and the data were compared with those of sea brine.
From the experimental data, the change in the quality of salts crystallized at various density levels with changing ionic
composition of brines is explained theoretically and the ionic composition of an ideal brine and proper density ranges for
the recovery of high quality salt are identified.

对柴达木盆地察尔汗盐湖区外围沙下盐湖的卤水及沉积进行了综合研究。沙下盐湖卤水化学组成与地表径流和开放性盐湖卤水之间存在明显的差异性,具有高Na~++Cl~-、低Mg~(2+)+Ca(2+)+SO_4~(2-)、贫K~++CO_3~(2-)+HCO_3~-等特征。沙下盐湖析盐层位含有新生矿物并夹带碎屑矿物,其盐类矿物组合为:石盐+羟氯镁铝石+光卤石。25℃等温蒸发相图表明,其卤水演化方向往光卤石析出区迁移,在穿越上覆盖层通道中卤水发生的物理化学反应与独特的沉积特征,可以作为继续寻找沙下盐湖的指导。 相似文献

Semicircular and crescent-shaped accumulations of salt crystals developed on salt crusts were measured on three Tunisian playas in September 1990. These features have been termed salt ramps. Their morphology and chemistry suggest that they are formed in the late stages of shallow ephemeral lake desiccation in playa basins. They form by salt precipitation from shallow brine lakes that are blown across salt-encrusted playa surfaces by the wind. Moreover, they appear to be short-lived features and their degradation is related to the flooding of playas with less saline water, and possibly rainfall and deflation. 相似文献

Determination of a Group Parameter for Organic Halogen Compounds in High Salt-laden Water Samples Using XAD-4 Resin Concerning the often discussed ‘chloride error’ in AOX determination, a method is described with allows the determination of the group parameter organic halogen compounds (OX) for chloride concentrations more than 1 g/L. In opposite to the standard method DIN 38409 part 14, no chloride influence up to a concentration of 10 g/L in real water samples occurs. The basis of the method is the adsorption of the organic compounds from the water sample on XAD-4 resin, a nonpolar copolymer of styrene and divinylbenzene. The organic compounds are concentrated on the XAD-4 resin conditioned with methanol. After the enrichment step, the adsorption columns are treated with sodium nitrate solution. Model experiments with p-chlorophenol and chloride concentrations of 50 g/L showed the effectiveness of this method. The loaded and washed adsorption columns are first eluated with acetone and then with ethyl acetate. Quantification of the OX compounds in the eluates is carried out by microcoulometric detection after combustion in a furnace equipped with a special injector for eluates. For optimal work, the instrument was modified and improved. The presented method was developed on model samples and tested on different real samples. 相似文献

Variations of chlorophylla and Margalef's pigment diversity index were studied in two solar salt ponds at Aveiro (Esmolas and Tanoeiras). Portugal.
In the Esmolas ponds, mean chlorophyll a values varied between 2.49 and 13.33 mg m−3 in the non-growing season, and between 5.43 and 40.55 mg m−3 in the growing season. In the Tanoeiras ponds, mean chlorophylla values were between 8.12 and 14.85 mg m−3 in the non-growing season, and 8.65 and 21.19 mg m−3 in the growing season. The paper discusses the distribution of Quaternary sediments, occurrence of saline minerals and phases of neotectonic movements and their manifestations in the Qaidam basin. The formation of four successive lacustrine terraces in Tertiary anticlinal zones in the western part of the basin was related to the neotectonic movements that took place 100 Ka ago, and the distribution of such terraces discloses, in a way. the evolutionary history of the Quaternary salt lakes. According to the distribution of the terraces coupled with the distribution of Quaternary sediments and features of salt deposition, four periods of Quaternary salt lake evolution in the basin may be distinguished, which correspond to four stages of salt deposition respectively. 相似文献
