Geographical indications are legal signs which identify a good as originating in a specific country or region, where the reputation of the product is attributable to its geographical roots. South Korea has operated with a geographical indication system since 1999. This research analyses the regional impacts of geographical indications using the case study of 'Boseong' green tea. The results show that geographical indication has enhanced the image of the product, leading to increased production and the stimulation of tea-related industries. We argue that geographical indication can be used as an effective policy to cope with trade liberalisation.  相似文献

Abstract:  This paper offers a geographical perspective on the way in which health regions have been defined and established in São Paulo as part of overall Brazilian health policy. To accomplish this, I first situate the Brazilian case in the international debate over the regionalization of health services. Second, I examine health regionalization in the case of São Paulo and show how the process is dynamic and complex, involving geographical scales that go well beyond the administrative boundaries of Brazilian municipalities.  相似文献

通过扩展传统的生命路径 ( life path)概念、并建立学术树 ( discipline tree)概念 ,研究已故当代中国著名地理学家、旅游学家陈传康教授的学术史。在统计了陈传康教授全部 1 2 1 2种次的学术著述的基础上 ,首先在时间纬度上建立了学术生命路径曲线、系统式和时序式生命路径表 ,用以统计分析陈传康教授的学术论著种次的分布情况和变迁过程 ,一方面反映出著作量随中国当代历史的脉动而出现的起伏变化 ,另一方面通过观察时间轴上这些著述的学科点的分布变化 ,不仅体现 2 0世纪 5 0年代～ 90年代陈传康学术偏好的转徙 ,也反映出 5 0年间中国地理学整体的变化轨迹。利用学术树的概念 ,统计分析陈传康一生构筑的个人学术体系 ,最终勾勒出其一生经营的学术群落的整体景观。  相似文献

在遥感技术与GIS技术的支持下，对中国近5年来土地利用的时间动态特征和空间动态特征进行了定量分析。具体表现为通过数学建模，利用土地利用动态度模型、土地利用程度模型、垦殖指数模型等对土地利用时空特征进行了分析。研究结果表明：5年间中国土地利用类型发生变化比较大的区域主要分布在东部和北部地区，特别是东北部地区土地利用类型变化比较剧烈，而西部变化相对缓慢；土地利用各类型中面积增加的有耕地、水域、建设用地和未利用地，而林地、草地面积减少；耕地增加的区域位于东北部地区，特别是黑龙江省耕地面积增加最多；林草地以及未利用地的面积变化主要发生在新疆、内蒙和黑龙江等地区，其它地区变化幅度相对较小。  相似文献

ABSTRACT. Recent attempts by U.S. politicians to reform the nation'sschools have shifted the goal of education to school accountability as assessed in standardized testing. Such an emphasis undermines geographical education in schools because of geography'ssuperficial representation in tests and in the social studies curriculum. Fieldwork done in the classroom can point to means of circumventing this dilemma. Collaborative fieldwork between college faculty members and public‐school teachers has the potential for adding geography to the social studies curriculum in a substantive way. Work conducted jointly by Hartwick College and the Oneonta (New York) Middle School exemplifies such a partnership.  相似文献
