Response surface experimental designs provide a framework for evaluating sensitivities and assessing uncertainties in reservoir-production forecasts for continuous parameters (i.e. permeability, flow rate, etc.). In this paper, the method is extended in order to integrate both continuous and discrete parameters (i.e. fault status: open/close, injection scheme: SWAG/WAG, etc.). This paper presents an appropriate experimental designs approach, notably the regression models associated with, and the statistical interpretation (sensitivity study, Monte Carlo simulations, etc.). The method has been successfully applied to a reservoir oil-production simulation problem. The objective was to define the best production scheme by optimizing the well-completion level. This application has highlighted the advantages of this new approach, both in terms of decreasing simulation cost and improving the interpretation quality. 相似文献

The reservoir of Fierza on the Drini River, Northern Albania, is Albania's largest reservoir and it is one of the world's largest reservoirs of high dams (reservoir volume at maximum water level, 2.8 * 109 m3; dam height, 167 m and dam capacity 8 * 106 m3). We compare pre-and postimpounding seismicity of the area surrounding the Fierza reservoir. An increase of seismic microactivity was observed after the impounding of the reservoir. More than 300 microearthquakes, occurred in the immediate vicinity of the main body of the reservoir, with local magnitude ranging between 1.3 and 3.6. A significant change of theb value in the magnitude-frequency relationship was observed. One swarm of microtremors occurred in the northern part of the reservoir on April 4–5, 1981, where an alteration of the tensor of natural tectonic stresses is revealed. The theoretical additional stress and displacement induced by water-load in the bank of the reservoir were estimated for four cross-profiles of the reservoir area and the maximum values resulted near the location of the above swarm. 相似文献

Abstract This paper discusses geological - geophysical - geochemical models of such typical deposits as the Tieshan - type Fe-Cu deposit, the Tonglushan - type Cu - Fe deposit, the Yehuaxiang - type Cu deposit, the Jiguanzui-type Cu - Au deposit, and the Tongshankou - type Cu(Mo) deposit. The models were established based on practical data of the polymetallic deposits dominated by copper ore in southeastern Hubei. These models, which are graphically illustrated in the paper, systematically summarize the metallogenic geological conditions and the geophysical-geochemical characteristics of copper deposits in this area. The models are of practical significance for studying copper deposits, predicting mineral resources, choosing exploration methods, and searching for ore deposits based on existing ones in the study area. 相似文献
