Much research has been conducted on the use of sketch maps to search in spatial databases, nevertheless, they have faced challenges, such as modeling of the data abstraction level, aggregated features in sketches, modeling of semantic aspects of data, data redundancy, and evaluation of the results. Considering these challenges, in this article a new solution is presented for searching in databases based on data matching. The main difference between this solution and the other approaches lies in the parameters introduced to match data and how to solve the matching problem. Using geometrical, topological, and semantic parameters in the matching, as well as performing the matching process in the two phases of partial and global, has resulted in an of about 78%. The evaluation process is performed based on the matching parameters and the matching procedure; finally, the result is acceptable compared to previous implementations.  相似文献

Sewage outflow resulting from a chlor-alkali unit of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC) has been released into the Persian Gulf (Khoor Moosa) for many years, leading to seawater contamination and finally influencing the ecological conditions and the marine ecosystem. In this study, in order to determine the distribution pattern of contaminated points in sea sediments, 15 stations were selected for Hg-content determination in sediments regarding its distribution and relation with contaminant source inflow into the sea. The Hg content of the samples ranged from 0.03 to 103.7 ppm, the maximum of which was detected in a sample collected from a depth of 0–10 cm, somewhere close to a sewage outflow channel of a chlor-alkali unit. Hg content of sediments had a meaningful relationship with chlor-alkali unit outflow volume. As geological setting within the area cannot provide the water with the present level of mercury, the resulting contamination should be due to BIPC activity.  相似文献

The East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia faces the South China Sea and is vulnerable to oil pollution because of intense petroleum production activities in the area. The South China Sea is also a favored route for supertankers carrying crude oil to the Far East. Consequently, oil spills can occur, causing pollution and contamination in the surrounding areas. Residual oil spills stranded on coastal beaches usually end up as tar-balls. Elucidating the sources of tar-balls using a molecular marker approach is essential in assessing environmental impacts and perhaps settling legal liabilities for affected parties. This study utilizes a multimodal molecular marker approach through the use of diagnostic ratios of alkanes, hopanes, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) to determine the source, distribution and weathering of tar-balls. Hopane ratios (e.g., C29/C30, and summation C31-C35/C30 ratios) were used to identify the sources of tar-balls. The weathering effects were distinguished by using alkanes, namely the unresolved complex mixture (UCM) and low molecular weight/high molecular weight (L/H) ratios. Similarly, PAHs were also used for the determination of weathering processes undergone by the tar-balls. This multimodal molecular marker gave a very strong indication of the sources of tar-balls in this study. For example, 16 out of 17 samples originated from South East Asian Crude Oil (SEACO) with one sample from Merang, Terengganu originating from North Sea Oil (Troll). The TRME-2 sample may have come from a supertanker's ballast water discharge. The second possibility is that the tar-ball may have been transported via oceanographic currents. All 'weathered' sample characterizations were based on the presence of UCM and other ratios. The multimodal molecular marker approach applied in this study has enabled us to partially understand the transport behavior of tar-balls in the marine environment and has revealed insights into the weathering process of tar-balls.  相似文献

Various seismic imaging methods are introduced to resolve some of the possible ambiguities of seismic interpretation in complex structures. Reducing dependency of imaging techniques on velocity or using diffraction energy for imaging more structural details are the main topics of the imaging research. In this study, we try to improve the seismic image quality in semi-complex structures by combining the common reflection surface (CRS) method with a diffraction based scheme in the common-offset domain. Previously introduced partial CRS and common offset CRS methods exhibited reliable performance in imaging complex media. Here, we were looking for stable and efficient solutions, preserving advantages of the previous methods. Herewith, the proposed operator fits better to diffractions than to reflections. Therefore, we call it the commonoffset common diffraction surface stack (CO CDS). In a previous study, improvement of the quality of seismic image by the CRS method was achieved by combination of the CDS method with the partial CRS. This resulted in the introduction of the partial CDS. Initially, in this study, the common-offset CRS traveltime equation was modified to the common-offset CDS. The hypothetical shot reflector experiment in the CRS method was changed to shot diffraction point experiment. In the introduced operator, two wavefront curvatures, observed at receivers positions, are set equal in order to satisfy the diffraction condition. In the proposed method, we search for accurate attribute sets for each considered offset individually, and then form a new operator by four coherent attributes. Application of the common- offset CDS method on synthetic and field data shows more details of the geological structures with higher quality, while preserving continuity of reflection events. The proposed method is, however, more expensive than the partial and common offset CRS for large dataset.  相似文献

Life cycle analysis (LCA) methodology was used to perform a quantitative, comparative analysis and rating of the construction and operation of a wind energy plant. For this case study, the Glacier Hills Wind Park (90 1.8-MW turbines in south-central Wisconsin) was evaluated. Significant environmental and economic benefits are often advertised with the installation of new wind energy facilities, although independent and comprehensive LCA and sustainable energy science are typically not implemented. Hence, a quantitative demonstration with LCA methodology of the life cycle emissions and environmental impact, from construction through operations, can greatly assist in highlighting significant areas of energy consumption and emissions during manufacturing, transportation, and construction of a wind farm. Results portray the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption/generation over the life cycle of the wind park. Transportation of large components from overseas led to the consumption of considerable quantities of fossil fuel, responsible for up to 22 % of the total greenhouse gas emissions due to transportation. The energy payback ratio (25.5), energy payback time (12.3 months) and the total grams of equivalent CO2(eq) per kWh of energy (16.9) produced were calculated over the life time of this onshore wind farm.  相似文献

A cloud point extraction procedure is presented for the preconcentration and simultaneous determination of Ag+ and Pd2+ in various samples. After complexation with 2‐((2‐((1H‐benzo[d]imidazole‐2‐yl)methoxy)phenoxy)methyl)‐1H‐benzo[d]imidazol (BIMPI), which was used as a new chelating agent, analyte ions were quantitatively extracted to a phase rich in Triton X‐114 following centrifugation, and determination was carried out by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). Under the optimum experimental conditions (i. e., pH = 7.0, 15.0·10–5 mol/L BIMPI and 0.036% (w/v) Triton X‐114), calibration graphs were linear in the range of 28.0–430.0 μg/L and 57.0–720.0 μg/L with detection limits of 10.0 and 25.0 μg/L for Ag+ and Pd2+, respectively. The enrichment factors were 35.0 and 28.0 for Ag+ and Pd2+, respectively. The method has been successfully applied to evaluate these metals in some real samples, including waste water, soil and hydrogenation catalyst samples.  相似文献

Mining activities pose a potential risk of metal contamination around mining sites. On May 6, 2010, a tailings dam failure of the Mazraeh copper mine near Ahar in East Azerbaijan province, Iran, released vast amounts of mine wastes. To better understand the magnitude of copper contamination in the waste-affected soils, it is important to assess the spatial distribution of soil copper content at unsampled points. A total of 30 soil samples and their surficial sediments together with the 6 uncontaminated control samples (0–10 and 10–30 cm) were collected along the stream flow that joined Ahar-Chai River. Some of soil properties as well as total copper concentration were determined in all samples. The mean value of the latter in the surface contaminated soils was found to be approximately two times more than controls. Furthermore, the mean concentration of copper in the surface loaded material was 10 times more than the soils. High copper concentrations were observed in surficial sediments of the soils near the broken tailings dam. The Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) method was employed in data analysis. The spherical and Gaussian semivariogram models were properly fitted to the data of copper contents in soils and surficial sediments.  相似文献
