This study investigates the mechanical characteristics of light-weighted soils (LWS) consisting of expanded polystyrene (EPS), dredged clays, and cement through both unconfined and triaxial compression tests. The mechanical characteristics of the compressive strength of LWS are analyzed with varying initial water contents of dredged clays, EPS ratio, cement ratio, and curing pressure. In the triaxial compression test, it is found that the compressive strength of LWS associated with EPS is independent on the effective confining pressure. When both EPS ratio is less than 2% and cement ratio is more than 2%, the compressive strength rapidly decreases after the ultimate value. This signifies that the compressive strength-strain behavior is quite similar to that of the cemented soil. The ground improved by LWS has the compressive strength of 200 kPa associated with the optimized EPS ratio of 3-4% and initial water content of 165-175%. The ultimate compressive strength under both triaxial and unconfined compression tests is almost constant for a cement ratio of up to 2%.  相似文献

通过厦门港潮汐水流整体物理模型试验,掌握了厦门港十万吨级深水航道二期工程疏浚弃土吹填造陆各方案实施前后港池航道水流流态,为规划设计单位和决策部门利用疏浚弃土吹填造陆提供可靠的科学依据,试验结果表明,海沧吹填工程可作为一期吹填方案,鸡屿西吹填造陆工程可作为海沧吹填工程的后续工程,仅从水流角度考虑,象鼻嘴吹填造陆方案1是可行的。  相似文献

用气相色谱仪和气—质联机等方法对黄条鱼师的腐败挥发性化合物进行了定性和定量分析。这将有利于对黄条做一步的生化性质分析和制定其鲜品的国家标准。样品在25℃贮藏5d期间,测定了某些化学指标。结果表明在贮藏1d后,鱼肉变腐臭,挥发性碱基化合物三甲胺和二甲基在贮藏中增加。在5d的贮藏期间发现的挥发性有机酸包括乙酸、丙酸、丁酸、异丁酸、戊酸、异成酸,并且它们的含量不断增加,检测出脂肪氧化产物和含硫化合物,正己醛、3—辛酮、3,5—丰二烯—2—酮,2—壬酮辛烯—3—醇,二甲基三硫化物、1H—吲哚等都是黄条腐败时产生的重要挥发性化合物。应指出的是,2—甲基丁醇、庚醇、苯酚、辛烯—3—醇己醛是黄条中所特有的化合物,其余化合物与其它鱼类的挥发性化合物几乎相近。  相似文献

Since the 1997 local ban on ocean dumping of dredged sediments, the States of New York and New Jersey have pursued a policy of environmentally sound solutions to the management of dredged material, including beneficial use of stabilized dredged material (SDM) in transportation applications. A pilot study was initiated in 1998 to evaluate the use of SDM in the construction of highway embankments. Utilizing 80,000 cubic yards of dredged material, two embankments were constructed from SDM on a commercial development area adjacent to the Harbor. Geotechnical properties and handling of SDM were evaluated both during and one year post - construction. This article presents the evaluation of the embankments themselves, including constructability and performance. The results demonstrate that SDM satisfies most of the geotechnical criteria for fill construction, except those for durability, requiring proper coverage and protection similar to that provided for fills constructed on cohesive soils. This same characteristic precludes long term stockpiling of SDM prior to final placement, limiting applications to those that have schedules overlapping with dredging projects. Increased costs for the use of SDM can be as high as $8 per cubic yard over traditional fills; however, this cost may be recouped through management fees collected from dredging projects.  相似文献

The use of loose spoils on steep slopes for surface coal mining reclamation sites has been promoted by the US Department of Interior, Office of Surface Mining for the establishment of native forest, as prescribed by the Forest Reclamation Approach (FRA). Although low‐compaction spoils improve tree survival and growth, erodibility on steep slopes was suspected to increase. This study quantified a combined KC factor (combining the effects of the soil erodibility K factor and cover management C) for low compaction, steep‐sloped (>20°) reclaimed mine lands in the Appalachian region, USA. The combined KC factor was used because standard Unit Plot conditions required to separate these factors, per Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) experimental protocols, were not followed explicitly. Three active coal mining sites in the Appalachian region of East Tennessee, each containing four replicate field plots, were monitored for rainfall and sediment yields during a 14‐month period beginning June 2009. Average cumulative erosivity for the study sites during the monitoring period was measured as 5248.9 MJ·mm·ha?1·h?1. The KC ranged between 0.001 and 0.05 t·ha·h·ha?1·MJ?1·mm?1, with the highest values occurring immediately following reclamation site construction as rills developed (June – August 2009). The KC for two study sites with about an 18–20 mm spoil D84 were above 0.01 t·ha·h·ha?1·MJ?1·mm?1 during rill development, and below 0.003 t·ha·h·ha?1·MJ?1·mm?1 after August 2009 for the post‐rill development period. The KC values for one site with a 40 mm spoil D84 were never above 0.008 t·ha·h·ha?1·MJ?1·mm?1 and also on average were lower, being more similar to the other two sites after the rill development period. Based on an initial KC factor (Ke) measured during the first few storm events, the average C factor (Ce) was estimated as 0.58 for the rill development period and 0.13 for the post‐rill development period. 为探明锥状工程堆积体坡面薄层水流剥蚀率与水力要素之间的关系, 室内模拟赣北红土区散乱锥状工程堆积体。通过人工降雨试验, 设计4种降雨强度(1.0~2.5mm/min)和3种砾石含量(10%~30%)完全组合。采用灰色关联度分析法, 评估坡面水力参数与土壤剥蚀率之间的关联度。结果表明:① 在试验条件下, 坡面水流功率与土壤剥蚀率呈幂函数关系;② 当堆积体砾石含量一定时, 以降雨强度为变量能反映堆积体坡面水力参数与土壤剥蚀率之间的关联度;③ 当降雨强度一定时, 大雨强下(≥1.5mm/min)堆积体砾石含量不宜作为灰色关联度分析的变量。综上所述, 水流功率是描述赣北红土区锥状工程堆积体侵蚀过程的最佳水力参数, 可用于建立堆积体侵蚀物理模型。  相似文献

This article investigates the influence of dimensions of a settling column on the settling mode and the settling rate. End conditions of the settling stage in the hindered settling were also analyzed. It was found that the settling mode in a column with a smaller diameter tends to be consolidation settling. The effect of a settling column wall decreases with increasing column diameter, and it can be ignored provided the column diameter is larger than 14.5 centimeters. For the difference in initial water content, the settling behavior of the slurry develops a different sensitivity to the diameter effect. The influence of column diameter reduces as the initial water content of the slurry becomes higher. It is suggested that the internal diameter of the column used in a sedimentation experiment should be 14.5 centimeters.  相似文献

建立了一个模拟开敞水域中航槽流场的平面二维数学模型.利用该模型计算得到的流速分布与袁美琦、李安中等人试验值相吻合,并计算了相当于天然情况下(各种水深、挖深比及航槽与水流的不同交角)的流场,得到了各种航槽与水流交角、不同挖深比的航槽流速折减系数变化规律图,及各种航槽与水流交角、不同挖深比的航槽中流向与航槽轴线交角的变化规律图,为开敞水域中航槽选线设计提供了依据.  相似文献
