This work develops a control system for the waypoint-tracking of a biomimetic autonomous underwater vehicle (BAUV). The BAUV swims forward by oscillating its body and caudal fin. It turns by bending its body and caudal fin toward the turning direction. The control algorithm uses the oscillating frequency to control the forward velocity, and applies a body-spline offset parameter to control the heading velocity. The motion of the BAUV is undulatory, so moving averages of swimming velocity and heading errors are used as feedback signals. The stability of the control system is discussed using a Lyapunov function. Finally, the effectiveness of the control algorithm is experimentally confirmed.  相似文献

In this paper, adaptive control of low speed bio-robotic autonomous underwater vehicles (BAUVs) in the dive plane using dorsal fins is considered. It is assumed that the model parameters are completely unknown and only the depth of the vehicle is measured for feedback. Two dorsal fins are mounted in the horizontal plane on either side of the BAUV. The normal force produced by the fins, when cambered, is used for the maneuvering. The BAUV model considered here is non-minimum phase. An indirect adaptive control system is designed for the depth control using the dorsal fins. The control system consists of a gradient based identifier for online parameter estimation, an observer for state estimation, and an optimal controller. Simulation results are presented which show that the adaptive control system accomplishes precise depth control of the BAUV using dorsal fins in spite of large uncertainties in the system parameters.  相似文献

This paper presents a technique for adaptively tracking bathymetric contours using an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) equipped with a single altimeter sonar. An adaptive feature mapping behavior is developed to address the problem of how to locate and track features of unknown extent in an environment where a priori information is unavailable. This behavior is implemented as part of the layered control architecture used by the AUV Odyssey II. The new adaptive feature mapping behavior builds on previous work in layered control by incorporating planning and mapping capabilities that allow the vehicle to alter its trajectory online in response to sensor data in order to track contour features. New waypoints are selected by evaluating the expected utility of visiting a given location balanced against the expected cost of traveling to a particular cell. The technique is developed assuming sensor input in the form of a single, narrow-beam altimeter sensor attached to a non-holonomic, dynamically controlled survey-class AUV such as the Odyssey II. Simulations of the Charles River basin which have been constructed from real bathymetry data are used as test missions. The 7-m contour line of a prominent trench in the river serves as the target feature. The adaptive contour following behavior tracks the contour despite navigation error and environmental disturbances, supplying the capability of autonomously detecting and following distinctive bathymetric features using a point sensor. This behavior provides a foundation for future research in tracking of dynamic features in the water-column and for concurrent mapping and localization over natural terrain using a point sensor  相似文献

This paper presents the design of an adaptive input–output feedback linearizing dorsal fin control system for the yaw plane control of low-speed bio-robotic autonomous underwater vehicles (BAUVs). The control forces are generated by cambering two dorsal fins mounted in the vertical plane on either side of the vehicle. The BAUV model includes nonlinear hydrodynamics, and it is assumed that its hydrodynamic coefficients as well as the physical parameters are not known. For the purpose of design, a linear combination of the yaw angle tracking error and its derivative and integral is chosen as the controlled output variable. An adaptive input–output feedback linearizing control law is derived for the trajectory control of the yaw angle. Unlike indirect adaptive control, here the controller gains are directly tuned. The stability of the zero dynamics is examined. Simulation results are presented for tracking exponential and sinusoidal yaw angle trajectories and for turning maneuvers, and it is shown that the adaptive control system accomplishes precise yaw angle control of the BAUV using dorsal fins in spite of the nonlinearity and large uncertainties in the system parameters.  相似文献

This paper describes decoupled stochastic mapping (DSM), a new computationally efficient approach to large-scale concurrent mapping and localization (CML). DSM reduces the computational burden of conventional stochastic mapping by dividing the environment into multiple overlapping submap regions, each with its own stochastic map. Two new approximation techniques are utilized for transferring vehicle state information from one submap to another, yielding a constant-time algorithm whose memory requirements scale linearly with the number of submaps. The approach is demonstrated via simulations and experiments. Simulation results are presented for the case of an autonomous underwater vehicle navigating in an unknown environment with 110 and 1200 features using simulated observations of point features by a forward look sonar. Empirical tests are used to examine the consistency of the error bounds calculated by the different methods. Experimental results are also presented for an environment with 93 features using sonar data obtained in a 3 by 9 by 1 m testing tank  相似文献

环境参数失配导致定位性能大幅度下降是匹配场定位所面临的难题之一。应用贝叶斯理论对环境聚焦,是当前解决该难题的研究热点。环境聚焦方法的实质是将未知环境参数和声源位置联合优化估计,当出现多个目标时,估计的参数会随着声源个数成倍增加,因此不得不利用有限的观测信息来实现众多参数的估计。本文采用最大似然比方法,获得信号源谱和误差项的最大似然估计,实现这些敏感性较弱参数的间接反演,有效降低了反演参数维数和定位算法复杂度。针对遗传算法的早熟和稳定性差的问题,改进了似然函数的经验表达式。将多维后验概率密度在参数起伏变化范围内积分,得到反演参数的一维边缘概率分布,求解最优值的同时进行反演结果的不确定性分析。本文仿真了位于相同距离、不同深度的两个声源,使用仿真实验验证了提出算法的有效性。  相似文献

This paper is a summary of a study of the effect of receiver position errors on the target localization accuracy of a multistatic sonar. The multistatic active system under examination consists of one or more transmitters and receivers, and the target is localized in the horizontal plane by means of echoes from the transmissions. Two-dimensional propagation of sound, with a constant sound speed, is assumed throughout. A simple analytic approach, implemented and illustrated numerically, is derived for calculating the sensitivity to receiver position error over a specified area. For many of the examples considered, there are considerable regions where target localization errors can be unacceptably large even for highly accurate receiver positions  相似文献

海洋环境参数失配是制约匹配场定位性能的主要因素之一。为了克服环境失配,本文基于贝叶斯理论,将环境参数与声源的距离和深度一起作为未知量进行反演。然而在进行多声源定位时,反演参数的维数几何增长,极大地增加了反演问题的复杂性和计算量。为此本文将声源强度和噪声方差表示成其极大似然估计值,从而将这些参数进行隐式采样,大大降低了反演的维数和难度。文章比较了两种贝叶斯点估计方法,最大后验概率密度方法和最大边缘后验概率密度方法。最大后验概率密度方法的解是令后验概率密度取得最大值的参数组合,可以利用优化算法快速获得。最大边缘后验概率密度法将其他参数积分,得到目标参数的一维边缘概率分布,分布的最大值为反演结果。该方法得到最优估计值的同时可以获取参数估计的不确定信息。在环境参数和声源参数都未知的情况下,利用蒙特卡洛法在不同信噪比情况下对两种声源定位方法进行分析,实验结果表明:(1)对于敏感参数,如声源距离、水深和海水声速,最大边缘后验概率密度法比最大边缘后验概率密度方法的性能好。(2)对于较不敏感的参数,如海底声速、海底密度和海底声衰减,当信噪比较低时,最大边缘后验概率密度方法能较好地平滑噪声,从而比最大边缘后验概率密度法具有更好的性能。由于声源距离和深度是敏感参数,研究表明最大边缘后验概率密度法提供了一种在不确知环境下更可靠的多声源定位方法。  相似文献

A common problem in sonar system prediction is that the ocean environment is not well known. Utilizing probabilistic based results from geoacoustic inversions we characterize parameters relevant to sonar performance. This paper describes the estimation of transmission loss and its statistical properties based on posterior parameter probabilities obtained from inversion of ocean acoustic array data. This problem is solved by first finding an ensemble of relevant environmental model parameters and the associated posterior probability using a likelihood based inversion of the acoustic array data. In a second step, each realization of these model parameters is weighted with their posterior probability to map into the transmission loss domain. This approach is illustrated using vertical-array data from a recent benchmark data set and from data acquired during the Asian Seas International Acoustics Experiment (ASIAEX) 2001 in the East China Sea. The environmental parameters are first estimated using a probabilistic-based geoacoustic inversion technique. Based on the posterior probability that each of these environmental models fits the ocean acoustic array data, each model is mapped into transmission loss. This enables us to compute a full probability distribution for the transmission loss at selected frequencies, ranges, and depths, which potentially could be used for sonar performance prediction.  相似文献

针对深海声定位受海洋环境变化影响明显、需考虑测量系统的环境适应性和宽容性设计问题,提出一种评估海水环境变化对定位性能影响的仿真分析方法,将声场计算、误差传播与交会解算联合建模,以西太平洋中纬度海域夏季和冬季环境为代表性场景讨论了季节性环境变化对定位性能的影响方式和影响程度。仿真结果表明,当接收器位于海洋近表层时,在夏季和冬季呈现出两种不同的声信道样式,夏季季节性温跃层影响下的定位精度较差,冬季表面波导影响下的定位精度相对较好,两者均方根误差(RMSE)相差超过50 m;当接收器位于海洋中上层时,直达波有效作用范围的季节性变化引起定位性能差异,冬季定位精度优于夏季,两者RMSE相差15~20 m;当接收器位于海洋近底层时,利用可靠声路径定位精度较高,定位性能季节性变化不明显。研究认为,海水的季节性环境变化能够改变半会聚区尺度水面声定位的声信道特性以及到达声信息、误差传播、交会求解等测量因素,进而对接收深度位于海洋上层的声定位性能产生明显影响。  相似文献

This paper presents a method for tracking a distant moving target using only bearing measurements obtained from a tracking platform. The method is an improvement of the Hinich-Bloom passive tracking approach presented in [1]. The target is assumed to be moving at constant speed on a fixed heading, whereas the platform maneuvers during the measurement period. The direction cosines of the bearings are computed with respect to a rotation of the coordinate system that places 0° at the mean estimated target bearing. This is done to minimize the approximation bias due to the linearization of sine bearing as a function of inverse range and time. The coordinate system is rotated back to estimate the target coordinates. When the noise is Gaussian, the estimates of target range and heading are approximately maximum likelihood when the target's relative range is slowly varying during the observation period. In this case the mean square errors of the target parameter estimates are the smallest achievable within the order of the approximation.  相似文献

The design of mooring systems for floating production units usually considers extreme environmental conditions as a primary design parameter. However, in the case of FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) units, the worst response for the mooring system may be associated with other sea state conditions due to the fact that its extreme response may be associated with a resonant period instead of an extreme wave height. The best way to deal with this problem is by performing long-term analysis in order to obtain extreme response estimates. This procedure is computationally very demanding, since many short-term environmental conditions, and their associated stochastic nonlinear time domain numerical simulations of the mooring lines, are required to obtain such estimates. A simplified approach for the long-term analysis is the environmental contour-line design approach. In this paper a Monte Carlo-based integration procedure combined with an interpolation scheme to obtain the parameters of the short-term response distribution is employed to hasten the long-term analysis. Numerical simulations are carried out for an FPSO at three different locations considering a North Sea joint probability distribution for the environmental parameters. The long-term analysis results are compared against those obtained using extreme environmental conditions and environmental contour-line methodology. These results represent the characteristic load effect for the design of mooring systems of floating units using the reliability analysis for mooring line. The results show that the long-term results are usually more critical than those obtained with the other approaches and even different mooring lines can be identified as the critical ones.  相似文献

无人岛礁及其周边环境复杂、基准不一,对其进行高精度测绘存在诸多困难。介绍了一种基于无人机和无人船的测绘系统,融合大地测量、无人机航空遥感、无人船水下测绘等多源观测技术获取无人岛礁一体化测绘成果。并在广东省珠海市的三角岛进行实地测量,获取了海岛水上水下一体的三维点云、等值线、DOM等数据,陆上成果精度达厘米级,水深测量成果符合相关规范要求,该成果可广泛应用于海洋、国土、测绘、规划、建设等领域,有助于解决无人岛礁缺乏控制点造成的数据精度低、各部门需求数据多次采集耗时费力等问题。实践证明该技术具有一定的工程意义。  相似文献

The problem of controlling an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) in a diving maneuver is addressed. Having a simple controller which performs satisfactorily in the presence of dynamical uncertainties calls for a design using the sliding mode approach, based on a dominant linear model and bounds on the nonlinear perturbations of the dynamics. Nonadaptive and adaptive techniques are considered, leading to the design of robust controllers that can adjust to changing dynamics and operating conditions. The problem of using the observed state in the control design is addressed, leading to a sliding mode control system based on input-output signals in terms of drive-phase command and depth measurement. Numerical simulations using a full set of nonlinear equations of motion show the effectiveness of the proposed techniques  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the measurement of motion of free floating bodies using accelerometers strapped to a cross-arm mounted on the body. The measurement system has been studied with the help of a formulation involving a set of coupled nonlinear initial-value equations involving the angular acceleration components. A PC-based software using the Bulirsch-Stoer technique has been developed to solve the initial-value problem so as to deduce the body motions from the measured accelerations. Suitable filtering strategy has been employed at every stage of numerical integration. The reliability of the strapdown accelerometer system together with software developed has been validated using a “dry” test. Typical motion measurements have been done in all the six degrees of freedom of a tug model in a wave flume. The method is deemed to be an efficient and cost-effective technique suitable for free floating bodies and for large motions.  相似文献

This paper presents an open-loop control system for a new experimental vehicle, named the biorobotic autonomous underwater vehicle (BAUV). The rigid cylindrical hull of the vehicle is attached with six strategically located fins to produce forces and moments in all orthogonal directions and axes with minimal redundancy. The fins are penguin-wing inspired and they implement the unsteady high-lift principle found widely in swimming and flying animals. The goal has been to design an underwater vehicle that is highly maneuverable by taking the inspiration from nature where unsteady hydrodynamic principles of lift generation and the phase synchronization of fins are common. We use cycle-averaged experimental data to analyze the hydrodynamic forces and moments produced by a single foil as a function of its kinematic motion parameters. Given this analysis, we describe a method for synthesizing and coordinating the sinusoidal motion of all six foils to produce any desired resultant mean force and moment vectors on the vehicle. The mathematics behind the resulting algorithm is elegant and effective, yielding compact and efficient implementation code. The solution method also considers and accommodates the inherent physical constraints of the foil actuators. We present laboratory experimental results that demonstrate the solution method and the vehicle's resulting high maneuverability.   相似文献

During the drilling of ultra-deep-water subsea petroleum wells, a blow-out preventer (BOP), a piece of safety equipment, must be assembled on the wellhead. The BOP is suspended using the drilling riser during the wellhead approach operation, and the riser's top end is connected to the floating platform rig. This article presents a feedback control system for the automatic approach of the BOP to the wellhead. Compared to state-of-the-art controls, ours does not require ancillary thrusters installed alongside the riser nor inclination sensors atop of the drilling riser. Additionally, our proposed control embeds a closed-loop dynamic positioning system, thus retaining the characteristics of the original control system and adding an extra closed-loop. This eases implementation of the BOP approach control to an existing platform. To calculate the optimal gains for the BOP controller, we assume a linear system for the riser, including only the pendulum-shape. The simulation is carried out using nonlinear models for both riser and floating platform. We assume an International Towing Tank Conference standard semi-submersible platform, coupled with a 3000-m free-hanging vertical riser for the time-domain simulation. The results show the BOP tracking to be a step-shaped input signal under current and wave loads. A discussion of the performance of feedback control under different environmental loads is also included.  相似文献

海上环境变化多端,造成溢油的漂移和扩散会出现不可预测的情况,精确、实时地监测海上溢油是现今亟待解决的问题.无人机以其部署快、成本低、环境适应性强的优势在海上溢油监测领域得到重视,但单架无人机监测能力弱,而多架无人机监测的准确性仍需提高.为此,本文提出一种无人机群海面溢油自动导航跟踪监测的架构和方法,根据海上溢油浓度的变化进行路径规划.该方法包括建立溢油模型和设计无人机跟踪控制系统.溢油模型主要描述海上溢油时空变化的形态复杂性;控制器可控制无人机追踪和监测溢油漂移及扩散的情况.同时,将无人机跟踪控制系统与人工势场法相结合,避免无人机相撞.最后,进行数值仿真,结果表明该跟踪系统与溢油的重合率达到70%~80%,验证了该方法的可行性.未来,该系统可广泛应用于无人机群对不同环境现象和灾害的跟踪监测.  相似文献

In the course of monitoring and evaluating fish population in the seas, sonar systems have proved a practical and efficient measurement approach. The results obtained, however, from the use of sonar for monitoring fish migration in rivers have been somewhat disappointing-the most troublesome problems being the inability to recognize invalid targets. It has been proposed [1] that a high-resolution Doppler sonar which recognizes a valid target on the basis of its Doppler signature would be a solution to this problem. This paper examines the feasibility of such a target identification scheme. In particular, an examination is made of the nature of returns to be expected from a fish, and of interference sources-principally surface reverberation. From this it is concluded that the Doppler approach is indeed feasible, but that the use of a high-resolution pulsed system capable of separating multiple targets is only possible in a channel width of a few meters.  相似文献

重物在落水和着底过程中都会产生瞬态声信号,这类信号可被运用于浅水区域水下目标定位。 针对浅水区域目标定位的问题,提出了一种基于小型立体五元基阵的瞬态声源快速被动定位算法。 在分析重物落水信号特征的基础上,选取合适的广义互相关加权函数求得传声器之间的声程差,运用快速最小二乘搜索算法进行声源定位。 结果表明:运用 5 传声器阵列可以同时兼顾定位精度和鲁棒性,且满足实时性要求,该方法可运用于浅水区域瞬态声源定位等领域。  相似文献
