Vertical distribution of underwater scattering radiances of the first, the second and the third order is estimated by the Jerlov's method. In the estimation the volume attenuation coefficient and the volume scattering function are assumed to be constant in near surface layer, and the sky radiation separated from solar radiation to be a parallel beam and to fall into the sea in the vertical direction only.In the zenith direction the second scattering radiance is more intense than the first scattering radiance in near surface layer. As for the total radiance which is a sum of radiances up to the third order, the zenith radiation is largest, the nadir radiation is moderate and the horizontal radiation is least.  相似文献

In the context of the sea level survey at the mm level, it is necessary all along the lifetime of the altimeter mission to survey the quality of the products from the microwave radiometer. The calibration of the brightness temperatures has been validated using reference brightness temperatures over selected continental areas as well as simulations for a wide range of oceanic and atmospheric situations. The validation of the wet path delay is performed by comparison with radiosonde measurements and pointed out that both the JMR and the TMR estimate wet path delay around 5 mm higher than the one measured by radiosondes. Furthermore, it appeared that the correction of the TMR drift degrades the product with respect to radiosonde measurements. The monitoring of the brightness temperatures since launch shows a mean drift around +0.1 K/year for the 18.7 GHz, ?0.6 K/year for the 23.8 GHz channel, and around ?0.4 K/year for the 34 GHz channel.  相似文献

A discussion of the influence of sea roughness and spatial atmospheric inhomogeneities on the precision of satellite microwave radiometric measurements of the atmospheric parameters is presented. The two-scale model for microwave radiation of the ruffled sea surface without foam and spray is confirmed by experimental measurements. Investigations of the brightness temperature fluctuations of the clear and cloudy atmosphere are made using aircraft experimental measurements at the wavelengths 0.8 and 1.35 cm. Calculations of the radiation averaged over a satellite antenna footprint are carried out on the basis of these results and of well-known results of optical and infrared measurements. It is shown that sea roughness and the nonuniformity of clouds may result in errors in the integrated atmosphere water vapor and cloud liquid water content determination by satellite two-wavelength (0.8 and 1.35 cm) radiometric measurements up to 30 and 70 percent, respectively.  相似文献

Compared with traditional real aperture microwave radiometers, one-dimensional synthetic aperture microwave radiometers have higher spatial resolution. In this paper, we proposed to retrieve sea surface temperature using a one-dimensional synthetic aperture microwave radiometer that operates at frequencies of 6.9 GHz, 10.65 GHz,18.7 GHz and 23.8 GHz at multiple incidence angles. We used the ERA5 reanalysis data provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and a radiation transmission forward model to calculate the model brightness temperature. The brightness temperature measured by the spaceborne one-dimensional synthetic aperture microwave radiometer was simulated by adding Gaussian noise to the model brightness temperature.Then, a backpropagation(BP) neural network algorithm, a random forest(RF) algorithm and two multiple linear regression algorithms(RE1 and RE2) were developed to retrieve sea surface temperature from the measured brightness temperature within the incidence angle range of 0°–65°. The results show that the retrieval errors of the four algorithms increase with the increasing Gaussian noise. The BP achieves the lowest retrieval errors at all incidence angles. The retrieval error of the RE1 and RE2 decrease first and then increase with the incidence angle and the retrieval error of the RF is contrary to that of RE1 and RE2.  相似文献

采用一维高分辨率大气边界层模式(OSUPBL),模拟了南海海面低层大气,得到高分辨率的海面低层大气的各种气象要素及界面通量和能量平衡关系,并将模拟结果和南海季风试验(SCSMEX)观测结果和日本气象厅(JMA)再分析资料进行对比分析.结果指出,OSUPBL模式模拟得到的海面大气边界层的风速、温、湿垂直廓线,大气边界层高度以及海表面短波辐射、长波辐射、感热、潜热通量、净辐射和海面热收支等与实际观测结果基本一致.  相似文献

The sea surface emissivity in the infrared region is determined on the basis of data analyses. Net radiation, surface irradiance and other oceanographical and meteorological variables are measured throughout most of the year at the oceanographical observatory tower in Tanabe Bay, Japan. We have found that 0.984±0.004 is a reliable emissivity value from the night time data. Surface emission radiates not from the subsurface water but from the sea surface. The thermal skin layer on the sea surface, however, is disturbed and disappears under high wind speed over 5 m/s through the analyses of the radiation observation using the emissivity value of 0.984. Under low wind speed, the sea surface can be cooler or warmer than the subsurface due to overlying thermal conditions and the skin layer can be neutral as the transient process between them. By using an emissivity value of 0.984, the temperature difference between the sea surface temperature and the temperature determined from surface irradiance that has been reported in the satellite data analyses is found to be reduced by half.  相似文献

The present work describes the various corrections necessary in order to deduce ocean surface temperature fromS-band microwave radiometer measurements and applies these results to a series of data obtained with a high absolute accuracy radiometer. Measurements made with a 2.65 GHz radiometer from an aircraft flown over the Chesapeake Bay area are presented and compared in detail with accurately obtained sea truth data. For the calm sea, it was found that the observed brightness temperature agreed well with that calculated from the known sea surface and atmospheric properties over a fairly wide range of surface salinity values (0.2 per mille to 25 per mille). For cases where the surface wind speeds are of the order of 7 to 15 knots, an excess brightness temperature was observed which is attributable to surface roughness and microscale surface disturbances. The excess brightness temperature dependence on wind speed was found to correlate to a certain extent with the rms wave slope dependence on wind speed.  相似文献

基于 2003-2018 年的遥感反演和再分析数据, 分别在时域和频域上分析了渤海海表面温度、光合有效辐射、气溶 胶厚度、风速与叶绿素 a 浓度之间的响应关系。通过傅里叶变换在频域上得到各因素之间的相关性系数, 其显著高于直接在 时域上计算得到的相关性系数, 表明由于相位差的影响, 直接在时域进行相关性分析很可能会低估各因素之间的相关性。傅 里叶变换后的频谱图显示, 叶绿素 a 浓度存在一年、半年、4 个月与季节周期; 风速与气溶胶厚度存在明显的一年和半年周 期; 海表面温度和光合有效辐射具有明显的一年周期, 半年周期较其他几个因素不明显。交叉谱分析的结果表明: 叶绿素 a 浓度和所选的环境因子都在一年周期下具有最大的交叉振幅, 表明在此频率下响应最大; 风速、气溶胶厚度、光合有效辐射 分别超前于叶绿素 a 浓度约 5.0 个月、0.2 个月、0.2 个月, 海表面温度则滞后 1.9 个月。各环境因子之间相互关联, 共同影 响叶绿素 a 浓度的时间分布。  相似文献

A close correlation is found between dynamic processes in the near-earth tropical atmosphere, conditioned by air pressure anomalies in the Azor maximum, and the inter-annual ocean surface temperature variability in the north equatorial current area and in some other areas of the North Atlantic. A regression relation is proposed for calculating the sea surface temperature from the air pressure maximum in the Azor maximum. We discuss the anomalously high (low) upper ocean layer temperatures in the north equatorial current area induced by dynamic anomalies in the near-earth atmosphere and by the bottom topography.Translated by V. The results of in situ measurements of the characteristics of intrinsic microwave radiation from the sea surface are presented. The studies were carried out on the oceanographic platform of the Experimental Department of Marine Hydrophysical Institute during the summer–fall periods for 3 years, which made it possible to accumulate a significant amount of information on the change in the radiation intensity of under different meteorological conditions. Attention is primarily focused on the construction of wind-radiation dependences and their steepness analysis based on the measurement data obtained by a radiometer-polarimeter with a central frequency of received radiation equal to 37.7 GHz. The results are compared with the previous experimental studies and the model estimates of this effect.  相似文献

相比于实孔径微波辐射计,一维综合孔径微波辐射计具有高空间分辨率和多入射角观测特点。本文提出采用观测频率为6.9,10.65,18.7,23.8和36.5 GHz,且入射角范围为0°~65°的一维综合孔径微波辐射计遥感大气海洋环境要素。基于构建的微波大气海洋辐射传输正演模型,分析了辐射计亮温对大气海洋环境要素的敏感性,为辐射计关键指标确定和大气海洋环境要素反演算法设计提供技术支撑。结果表明:一维综合孔径微波辐射计的垂直和水平极化亮温对大气海洋环境要素的敏感性表现出不同特性,且敏感性随入射角的改变而变化显著;6.9和10.65 GHz对海面温度的敏感性较大,且随着入射角的增大,垂直极化亮温的敏感性增大,水平极化亮温的敏感性减小;10.65和18.7 GHz对海面风速的敏感性相对较大,且敏感性最大的风速区间位于10~20 m/s;23.8 GHz对大气水汽含量最敏感,且水汽含量较低、入射角较大时,敏感性越大;36.5 GHz对云液态水含量最敏感,随着入射角的增大,垂直极化亮温的敏感性减小,水平极化的敏感性增大,但两者均在液态水含量较小时表现出较大的敏感性。  相似文献

Temperature and radiation effects of the 2010 summer fires are estimated on the basis of measurements at the Zvenigorod Scientific Station (ZSS) of the Obukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), in the Moscow region. The surface air temperature during the 2010 summer smoke varied in antiphase with the aerosol mass concentration, and the thermal radiation balance in the surface layer of the atmosphere varied in phase. Under extreme smoke of the surface layer in August 2010, the reduction in surface air temperature at ZSS has been found to reach 4 K with an increase in the downward flux of thermal radiation by an average of 20 W/m2 and a decrease in the difference between upward and downward fluxes of thermal radiation by an average of 24 W/m2.  相似文献

利用相对湿度方程,结合数值模式研究了在海雾生成过程中平流、湍流和辐射的效应。结果表明,海雾生成的主要“推动力”是长波辐射冷却,湍流冷却在低层主要发生在平流的初始阶段。随着时间的推移,湍流对低层大气很快变为起加热作用,不利于海雾的生成。湍流和辐射效应在低层大气中符号相反(仅在海雾生成的初始阶段符号相同),量级相同,在高层大气中湍流和辐射效应符号相同,但辐射效应占优势。湍流效应和辐射效应是影响海雾生成的主要因素,平流直接作用似乎不大。平流、湍流和辐射效应及其总效应均随时间推移而减小。另外,还初步研究了风速大小和海温高低对平流、湍流和辐射效应及海雾生成的影响。  相似文献

This paper reports a case study of atmospheric stability effect on dimethyl sulfide(DMS) concentration in the air. Investigation includes model simulation and field measurements over the Pacific Ocean. DMS concentration in surface sea water and in the air were measured during a research cruise from Hawaii to Tahiti. The diurnal variation of air temperature over the sea surface differed from the diurnal cycle of sea surface temperature because of the high heat capacity of sea water. The diurnal cycle of average DMS concentration in the air was studied in relation to the atmospheric stability parameter and surface heat flux. All these parameters had minima at noon and maxima in the early morning. The correlation coefficient of the air DMS concentration with wind speed (at 15 m high) was 0. 64. The observed concentrations of DMS in the equatorial marine surface layer and their diurnal variability agree well with model simulations. We consider some peculiarities of the behavior of thermal and radio thermal (microwave radiation) characteristics of the atmosphere during prestorm situations in water areas monitored directly and remotely. The objects of research are (a) a region of the SMKF1 station (Sombrero Key) in the Florida Straight in August 2005 and (b) Golubaya Bay in the Black Sea (Gelendzhik, the territory of the Southern Branch of the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences) in September 2010, several days before an intensive storm. Using meteorological and satellite microwave radiometric data, we have studied some common and specific features in the behavior of surface air temperature and humidity, surface fluxes of sensible and latent heat, total heat and water vapor content of the atmosphere, and microwave radiation characteristics of the “water surface-atmosphere” system during time periods preceding the approach of Hurricane Katrina to the region of SMKF1 and development of the sea storm near the Golubaya Bay. In both cases the effect of the accumulation of the latent heat of water vapor in the atmosphere was observed during the prestorm periods (of several days).  相似文献

基于中尺度大气模式WRF及其3DVAR.模块,采用循环3DVAR数据同化方案,针对6次明显的黄海海雾过程,实施了一系列直接同化ATOVS卫星辐射数据数值试验.在试验中设计了不同化任何观测数据、仅同化GTS常规数据、仅直接同化辐射数据,同时同化二者,以及同化不同疏密程度辐射数据的对比研究方案.利用地面水平能见度与卫星云图对模拟的海雾雾区进行了评估,并比较了各种同化方案所形成初始场的差异.对试验结果的统计分析表明:同化试验较好地再现了影响海雾的天气系统,模拟雾区与实际观测较为吻合,并且初始温度场和湿度场对比不同化任何观测数据的试验有明显的改善;仅同化辐射数据的结果略优于仅同化常规数据的结果,疏化或者只同化海上辐射数据几乎不影响模拟的雾区,但却可以大幅节约计算资源;同时同化常规数据与辐射数据的结果为单独同化它们所得结果的综合体现,总体效果最好.  相似文献

Mercury evasional fluxes from the sea surface into the atmosphere play an important role in the Hg biogeochemical cycle, especially in the Mediterranean basin, which is characterized by the presence of large cinnabar deposits, intense solar radiation and high temperatures for many months of the year. Since the available experimental methodologies to measure mercury flux can be used only in good weather conditions, at present it is necessary to make use of exchange models that require the knowledge of the dissolved gaseous mercury (DGM) concentration in seawater. In this paper, the main factors affecting DGM levels are discussed considering the determination of the DGM daily behaviour in different meteo-marine and weather conditions at coastal and offshore locations of the Mediterranean basin. A fully automatic device for continuous analyses of DGM concentration with a high time resolution was used. Results show that the daily trend of DGM concentration tracks that of the solar radiation intensity, often mapping the movement of the clouds. DGM levels can be decreased by the presence of high winds that increase mercury evasion from the water surface, as well as by the mixing of the surface water layer. The presence of high levels of dissolved organic matter favours the photo-induced reduction of mercury as observed by the measurements performed in a lagoon water.  相似文献

We examine the difference in modeled thermohaline circulation under an atmosphere with no heat capacity (NHC) and infinite heat capacity (IHC) in a series of numerical experiments using the Bryan/Cox OGCM. An NHC atmosphere allows ocean sea surface temperatures to respond to changes in oceanic poleward heat transport, inferring an atmosphere that is allowed to seek its equilibrium temperature, whereas an IHC atmosphere does not. This is responsible for the following different behaviour patterns under the two atmospheres: 1) under NHC atmosphere, oceanic thermal oscillation persists, whereas under IHC atmosphere it does not; 2) under NHC atmosphere, the oceanic thermohaline circulation is less sensitive to high latitude freshening than under IHC atmosphere; 3) under either atmosphere, multiple equilibrium solutions are possible. However, under NHC atmosphere, two equilibria of the thermohaline circulation are generated in the same way as in the GFDL fully coupled model, while under IHC atmosphere, they are not.  相似文献

由东海PN断面夏季温鼻度及化学要素CTD资料分析表明,东海夏季的温跃层和盐跃层在次表层生成,其强度随着跃层自陆架坡折区至近岸和外海的上移逐渐减弱。陆架区近表层的温度和盐度呈垂直均匀分布,冲绳海槽次表层呈高温、高盐,近表层呈高温,近表层呈高温、低盐,底层呈低温、次高盐特征。溶解氧浓度自近岸到外海由低变高,表层至底层溶解氧浓度在陆架区由高变低,冲绳海槽区则先由低变高然后又由变低。总二氧化碳浓度自表层至底层和自陆架坡折区到近岸和外海由低变高。磷酸盐和硅酸盐浓度自近岸至外海由高变低,而自表层至底层由低变高。陆架区的近表层和陆架坡折区分别有一个高碱度区。温盐及化学要素的分布特征与夏季海区垂直环流的反气旋运动、长江冲淡水及黑潮水入侵和海面强热辐射有关。此外,化学要素分布还与夏季海区的温盐结构、表混合层与大气间二氧化碳气体交换及表混合层中碳和营养盐光合作用的利用有关。  相似文献
