为研究风急流对吕宋海峡处黑潮路径的影响,本文使用1.5层约化重力浅水模式,设置了与吕宋海峡跨度相接近的缺口宽度,考虑西边界流在西边界缺口处当处于迟滞过程的临界状态时,其路径受风急流影响的动力机制,并初步探讨了在实际海陆边界条件下,实际风急流对黑潮路径的影响。结果显示,理想情况下,当西边界流处在由入侵流态到跨隙流态转变的临界状态时,西风、南风以及西南风风急流可以激发西边界流由入侵流态转变为跨隙流态。当西边界流处在由跨隙流态向入侵流态转变的临界状态时,北风、东风以及东北风风急流可以激发西边界流由跨隙流态转变为入侵流态,并且在风急流消失后西边界流不能再恢复到初始流态。实际情况下,冬季风急流有利于黑潮入侵南海,夏季风急流有利于黑潮跨越吕宋海峡,这和理想情况下的模拟结果以及实际观测结果相一致,这对进一步研究南海北部的上层环流以及南海的质量、能量输送有重要意义。  相似文献

使用1.5层约化重力准地转模式,研究了西边界流在西边界缺口处当处于迟滞过程的临界状态时,其路径转变受中尺度涡旋影响的动力机制,初步探讨了中尺度涡旋影响西边界流在缺口处路径变化的几种形式.结果表明,气旋和反气旋中尺度涡旋都可能使西边界流产生由入侵流态到跨隙流态的转变,而只有反气旋式中尺度涡才有可能诱发西边界流由跨隙流态向入侵流态的转变.当西边界流远离其临界状态时,其路径不容易受中尺度涡旋的影响,此时跨隙的西边界流会阻挡中尺度涡旋在缺口处的向西传播,并迫使涡旋在吕宋海峡东侧向北移动.以上结果用来解释了吕宋海峡黑潮变异的某些结构特征.  相似文献

使用1.5层准地转约化重力模式研究了周期性的或伴有贯穿流的西边界流跨隙流动的迟滞变异过程。当西边界流变化的周期比罗斯贝波在缺口处调整的时间尺度大得多时,在雷诺数增加和减少过程的霍夫分叉点都发生延迟,从而产生新的雷诺数迟滞区间;并且西边界流流态转变的临界值变化显著;且周期强迫越短,雷诺数迟滞区间越大。当西边界流变化的周期与罗斯贝波在缺口处调整的时间尺度相当时,西边界流在缺口的流态呈无迟滞的周期性变化,且西边界流入侵西海盆的程度随周期减少而变小。此外,当贯穿流的流量大于西边界流的一半时,会显著影响西边界流在缺口处的迟滞变异过程;西边界流向西入侵程度和流态转变发生的临界雷诺值均发生变化,且贯穿流流量越大变化越大。  相似文献

利用ECOM si模式 ,1 0′× 1 0′水平分辨率 ,垂向 2 0个σ层 ,由H/R( 1 983)气候学月平均风应力场和开边界流量驱动 ,模拟了南海风生环流的季节变化 ,并针对南海冬夏季风生正压环流的动力机制进行了数值实验。实验中考虑以下动力因子对南海冬夏季环流的影响 :1 )开边界入流和出流 ;2 )风应力旋度 ;3)地形 ;4)惯性效应 ;5 ) β效应。数值实验表明 ,通过开边界进入南海的流量与风应力在南海内部引起的流量量值相当 ,特别是冬季两者对北部陆坡边界流和南海西边界流均有重要贡献 ;冬季南海海盆尺度气旋式流圈主要是由风应力旋度引起的 ,但平均风应力可以加强卡里马塔海峡的出流 ,而北部反气旋风应力旋度可引起南海暖流 ;陆坡地形使得海盆尺度冬季气旋式流圈中心限制在深海区 ,南海北部陆架的存在大大削弱了南海暖流的强度 ;惯性效应对南海环流的整体结构无明显影响 ,但使得黑潮入侵和台湾西南的流套变弱 ;深海海盆环流中 β项是与风应力旋度平衡的基本项 ,且 β效应对环流的西向强化和吕宋海峡入侵作用至关重要  相似文献

根据1984年8月水位、1993年9月湖流资料,通过建立太湖风生流模式,并在此基础上采用数值嵌套技术,设计太湖风生流套风格模式,对不同风情下的东太湖风生流进行模拟研究,结果表明:湖区风场了东太湖风生流的流型及流向,对峙方位风场形成的风生流流向几乎相反,稳定风生流流态表现为湖中若干环流区和沿岸流的有机结合风场作用初期,风生流流各与湖区风向近乎一致。偏NW风向作用,西太湖湖水流水流入东太湖,并在东太湖  相似文献

利用二维全流水动力方程组,在考虑了海面风应力,潮余流和一开边界入流等条件下,首次模拟出了石了石岛附近的中尺度反旋式涡旋海水运动,并对南黄海西部冬季环流的特征作了初步探讨。数值模拟结果和实测吻合良好,数值模拟表明:冬季南黄海西部环流形式主要决定因子是海面风应力、潮余流及从开边界的流入该海域的黄海暖流及黄海沿岸流。黄海暖流在偏北风作用下沿西北方向可直达山东半岛近岸,后分为两支:一支向南汇入黄海沿岸流流  相似文献

本文利用2010年6-7月的实测温盐、水位、海流等资料,结合风场数据,讨论了在台风影响较小的情况下,粤东及闽南近岸上升流对局地风场变化的响应特征,主要结论如下:(1)谱分析结果显示,沿岸风、水位、海流、近底层水温均具有3.5~4.0 d、5.0~5.5 d、8.3~9.0 d的波动周期,沿岸风的变化引起上升流强度在3~9 d周期上的波动;(2)上升流对局地风场变化的响应过程如下:利于上升流产生的局地风场发生变化时,沿岸风作用下产生的Ekman输运促使的上升流区水位的下降幅度发生改变,随即向岸方向的压强梯度力也发生变化,进而导致沿岸流及近底层向岸流的增强或减弱,而近底层向岸流强度的改变又会引起近底层水温的变化;(3)相关分析及交叉谱分析的结果表明,沿岸风的变化将在3 d以内影响上升流区近底层水温。以34 m向岸流代表近底层向岸流,则“沿岸风-水位-近底层向岸流-近底层水温”这一过程的响应时间依次为24 h、7 h、27 h左右。  相似文献

利用POM模式对南海环流进行了数值模拟和数值试验 ,结果表明 :南海北部SSH的变化主要应归于南海局地的动力、热力强迫和黑潮的影响 ;黑潮对南海北部SSH平均态的影响要大于对SSH异常场的影响 ;对于南海北部深水区冬季局地风应力与浮力通量的作用相反量级相同 ,黑潮对南海北部SSH的控制作用在冬季显得最重要 ,约占 50 %~ 80 % ;春季 ,夏季和秋季 ,局地风应力、浮力通量和黑潮三者都使深水区SSH上升 ,局地风应力使深水海盆SSH上升的作用约占 4 0 %~ 6 0 % ,浮力通量的作用约占 2 0 % ,黑潮的影响约占 2 0 %~ 30 % .在夏季 ,尽管南海北部深水海盆SSH达到全年最高 ,但黑潮对南海北部深水海盆SSH的贡献最小 .在广东沿岸陆架海域 ,SSH季节变化的机制与深水海盆SSH季节变化的机制不同 :春、夏季 ,局地风应力使SSH上升的作用几乎与浮力通量使SSH下降的作用相当 ;秋、冬季 ,东北季风使SSH上升的作用大于浮力通量和黑潮使SSH下降的作用 ,陆架区SSH为正 ,且在海南岛附近达到最大值  相似文献

基于Pedlosky(1987)的线性Muck边界层模型,引入一随纬向空间变化的侧摩擦系数AH(x),以探讨该参数对西边界流的强化结构的影响。结果发现,在风应力和内区解保持不变的情况下,适中线性变化的AH(x)会使西边界层内的向北急流和其靠内区一侧的逆流均得到加强。文中还给出摩擦应力、相对涡度及平均动能向涡动能的转化率在西边界层内的分布情况。  相似文献

本文应用热带西太平洋海面风资料,讨论了风应力涡度场的年际变化,及其对棉兰老冷涡和北赤道流分叉位置的影响。分析结果表明,风应力涡度场、棉兰老冷涡以及北赤道流分叉位置三者之间的年际变化存在密切相关。特别是在ENSO期间(厄尔尼诺-南方涛动),热带西太平洋风场的变异,导致了风应力涡度场的变化,从而致使棉兰老冷涡加强和扩张,最终引起北赤道流分叉位置北移。相反,在LaNina(反厄尔尼诺)期间,风应力涡度减弱,冷涡减弱和西缩,从而引起北赤道流分叉位置南移。  相似文献

Significance of High-Frequency Wind Forcing in Modelling the Kuroshio   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Motivated by an analysis of a satellite sea surface temperature image suggesting that a train of extra-tropical cyclones induces amplification of the Kuroshio meander, a regional Kuroshio/Oyashio general circulation model was used to investigate the impact of high-frequency wind on the Kuroshio path variations. Near Japan, the standard deviation of the wind stress curl can be 10 times larger than the monthly mean, so the synoptic variations of the wind stress curl cannot be neglected. With the bimodal Kuroshio case realized in the model, sensitivity tests were conducted using monthly and daily mean QuikSCAT-derived wind stress forcings. The comparison showed that the high-frequency local wind perturbed the Shikoku recirculation gyre (SRG) and caused a transition of the path from straight to meander. The strong anticyclonic eddy within the SRG triggered the meander in the latter case. The high-frequency wind perturbed the motion of the eddy that would have otherwise detached from the Kuroshio, migrated south and terminated the meandering state. The result reinforces the suggestion from previous studies that the anticyclonic eddy within the SRG plays an active role in controlling the Kuroshio path variations.  相似文献

Principal components analysis was used to examine monthly data on sea level obtained from tide-gauge records from the west coast of southern Africa over the period 1957—1975. After a simple correction had removed the effect of local atmospheric pressure, this statistical analysis revealed the structure of nearshore ocean variability over time periods of months to years. The first principal component, accounting for over 55 per cent of the variability in monthly mean sea level, was a near uniform rise and fall everywhere along the west coast of southern Africa. The spectrum of this large-scale structure showed a strong interannual trend, which correlated well with long-term trends of temperature anomaly over the entire South-East Atlantic, and a high-frequency term, which could not be resolved at a time period of one month. The second principal component showed the contrasting response of the northern and southern sites on a seasonal scale, and it could be correlated with seasonal wind data. These results compared well with similar analysis carried out in the North Pacific Ocean.  相似文献

基于1.5层浅水方程模式,利用条件非线性最优参数扰动(CNOP-P)方法,研究模式参数的不确定性对黑潮大弯曲路径预报的影响。研究表明,单个模式参数误差如侧向摩擦系数误差、界面摩擦系数误差以及在不同季节具有不同约束的风应力大小误差,对黑潮大弯曲路径预报的影响较小,并且对背景流场的选取具有一定的敏感性;所有模式参数误差同时存在时对黑潮大弯曲路径预报具有一定的影响,并且预报结果在9个月左右不能被接受。因此,要提高黑潮大弯曲路径的预报技巧,模式中的参数需要给出更好的估计。  相似文献

利用1961—2005年台湾海峡西部沿岸平潭、崇武、东山及厦门等4个气象代表站的地面风观测资料,通过计算各代表站的年、季、月平均风速气候趋势系数和各风向频率趋势,较详细地分析了近45a来台湾海峡西部沿岸地面风的气候变化特征.结果表明:(1)近45a来各代表站年平均风速呈明显减小趋势,其中秋、冬、春季平均风速减小趋势明显,夏季风速减小趋势不明显.(2)海峡西部沿岸主导风向有沿海岸线由北向南顺转的特点.(3)海峡西部沿岸地面风速在上世纪80年代初存在着气候突变现象,80年代中期后年平均风速减小明显.  相似文献

On the basis of numerical simulation of the mean circulation and relevant thermal-salinity fields in June with a three-dimensional ocean model (ECOM-si), the model outputs are used as first guess of initial fields for numerical integration of the model equations and the numerical results are applied to investigating the dynamical responses of the Huanghai Sea and the East China Sea (HECS) in the course of a weak land-to-sea cyclone‘s passage over the Huanghai Sea on 15-16 June 1999. Predominance of the dynamic impact of cyclone over the thermal one in June in the HECS is justified using observations and model simulations.The cyclone and its surrounding weather system, i.e,, subtropical high ridge to its south could influence current and thermal fields in the Bohai Sea, the Huanghai Sea and the northern East China Sea even though the intensity of cyclone was rather weak. The response of oceanic currents to the wind stresses driven by the cyclone and its southern subtropical high were strongly characterized by the wind drift with its extent of equivalent scale of cyclone in the horizontal and of Ekman layer in the vertical. The sea response at a given site was closely related to the transient local wind speed and direction,especially was sensitive to the local wind direction,which is demonstrated at three points locating at the southern and western Huanghai Sea and the northern East China Sea. So the sea responses at locations differed considerably from one another. Current responded to the wind stress in a simple way:directly to the wind-driven current and subsequent gradient current and slope current, etc., whereas sea temperature responded to the wind stress in two ways: directly to the cyclone-induced cooling and indirectly to water movements both in the horizontal and the vertical by the cyclone‘ s wind stress. So the sea temperature variation under the influence of cyclone was more complicate than the current. The HECS in response to the cyclone and its ambient weather system was likely to be a fast process and such a response could last at least for more than 1d. Current increased with the duration of wind stress exerted on the surface and decreased with the increasing depth. Affected by the cyclone, the maximum sea surface temperature decreased by almost 1.6℃ during the 24h cyclone.  相似文献

The statistical characteristics and mechanisms of mesoscale eddies in the North Indian Ocean are investigated by adopting multi-sensor satellite data from 1993 to 2019. An idealised two-basin model is used to investigate the impact of the wind field on the heat exchange between the ocean basins. The scalar potential of the divergent component of the horizontal heat flux is computed, which gives a 'coarse-grained' image of the surface heat flux that captures the large-scale structure of the horizontal heat transport. Further the non-divergent component is examined, as well as the meridional heat transport and the temperature–latitude overturning stream function. A sensitivity analysis examines the heat transport response to changes in wind stress at different latitudes. The results are compared with results from an eddy-permitting global circulation model. The westerly wind stress over the Southern Ocean has two effects: a local reduction of the surface heat loss in response to the equatorward surface Ekman drift, and a global re-routing of the heat export from the Indo-Pacific. Without wind forcing, the Indo-Pacific heat export is released to the atmosphere in the Southern Ocean, and the net heat transport in the southern Atlantic is southward. With wind forcing, the Indo-Pacific export enters the Atlantic through the Aghulas and is released in the Northern Hemisphere. The easterlies enhance the poleward heat transport in both basins.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Understanding how and why the world’s coastlines are changing is a pressing international concern in a context of rising sea levels, increased climatic variability and intensifying coastal development. Medium to long-term records of coastal change are rare worldwide and often limited to individual beach compartments. This study presents a 70-year (1940–2010) aerial imagery record to compare decadal changes in shoreline position across four high-energy west coast beaches near Auckland, New Zealand/Aotearoa: Whatipu, Karekare, Piha and Te Henga (Bethells). The common exposure of these adjacent mesotidal beaches to changing wind and wave conditions might, if they present the dominant controls on shoreline position, be expected to produce synchronous change. Whatipu (935?m), Piha (32?m) and Te Henga (52?m) showed net overall progradation for the study period, while Karekare retreated slightly (?4.1?m). All except Whatipu underwent periods of beachwide erosion. Shoreline change was not coherent between beaches, despite similar exposure to variations in wind, wave and sea level. Variable sediment supply from northward littoral drift is implicated as the primary control on decadal-scale shoreline change for these beaches, highlighting the importance of local context in influencing shoreline response to changing environmental conditions.  相似文献
