This paper systematically reviews and synthesizes peer-reviewed, English-language scientific publications (n=212) to identify relevant research about how Ecosystem-Based Adaptation (EBA) is integrated with coastal planning. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) methodology is applied in this study. Attention was given to studies concerning human-environment interactions as opposed to physical or biological climate change issues alone because the coastal planning and EBA approach addresses the management of human actions in nature. The literature references include the issue of climate change (77%); however, limited evidence of EBA in coastal areas are reported (18%), and it is evident that the issues have become relevant in the scientific literature published in recent years. Broad texts demonstrate that SLR is one of the major long-term impacts (68%), and all of these papers recognize the most affected ecosystems in the tropics would be mangroves. EBA is an emerging option that can offset anticipated ecosystem losses and improve coastal planning to cope with SLR because it provides benefits beyond climate change stressors. There is a need to synthesize a road map for incorporation of mangrove regulations into local planning instruments and for building capacity for their implementation. Application of PRISMA in marine science will enhance future reviews, facilitate the systematic search and adequately document any theme, and also be useful in determining research gaps or information needs. 相似文献

研究了福建九龙江口秋茄(Kandelia candel)红树林潮间带的红藻鹧鸪菜(Caloglossa leprieurii)的氮、磷、钾、钠、钙与镁6种营养元素含量的季节变化。氮、磷、钾与钠均以春季含量最高;钙与镁分别以秋季和冬季最高。氮与磷含量冬季最低,钾含量秋季最低;钠、钙、镁均以夏季含量最低,6种元素含量的季节变化模式不一致。营养元素含量的季节变化表明鹧鸪菜春季富集的营养物质较多,与春季有较高的生物量一致。营养元素含量的季节变化反映了鹧鸪菜的生长与环境因子的季节变化。鸥鸪菜的氮、磷含量高于土壤含量。并明显高于水体氮、磷含量,说明鹧鸪菜能强烈富集环境中的氮、磷,因此鸥鸪菜类的大型藻类的存在可能是红树林区赤潮极少发生的原因之一。 相似文献

ABSTRACTMangroves are critical in the ecological, economic and social development of coastal rural and urban communities. However, they are under threat by climate change and anthropogenic activities. The Sunda Banda Seascape (SBS), Indonesia, is among the world’s richest regions of mangrove biomass and biodiversity. To inform current and future management strategies, it is critical to provide estimates of how mangroves will respond to climate change in this region. Therefore, this paper utilized spatial analysis with model-based climatic indicators (temperature and precipitation) and mangrove distribution maps to estimate a benchmark for the mangrove biomass of the SBS in six scenarios, namely the Last Inter-glacial Period, the current scenario (1950–2000) and all four projected Representative Concentration Pathways in 2070 due to climate change. Despite mangroves gaining more biomass with climate change (the increase in CO2 concentration), this paper highlighted the great proportion of below-ground biomass in mangrove forests. It also showed that the changes in spatial distribution of mangrove biomass became more variable in the context of climate change. 于1994年3月,采用样方法分析、探讨深圳福田自然保护区车公庙林区白骨壤红树林重金属Cu,Ph,Zn,Cd元素的累积及分布。结果表明:该林地表层土壤(0—3cm深),Cu,Ph,Zn,Cd的含量分别为383.28.7,1140,0136×10-6,储量分别为5285.40,3960.60,15732.00,18.77mg/m2、植物体各部位Cu,Pb,Zn,Cd含量范围分别为1.81-13.8,0.402-3.51,3.42-69.5,0.013-0295×10-6对表层土壤加权平均富集系数为Cd>Zn>Cu>Pb.该群落Cu,Pb,Zn,Cd现存累积量分别为53.70,19.27,187.89,0.72mg/m2;年净存留累积量分别为4063.91,1318.14,16358.62,60.21μg/m2;林地残留物相应元素的储量分别为2091.18,1958.66,5046.60,19.30μg/m2。该林区不同群落叶层Cu,Pb,Zn,Cd现存累积量为白骨壤林>桐花树林>秋茄林。 相似文献

Grain size and geochemical analyses have been carried out on 58 samples collected from different areas of mangrove environment
of the Egyptian Red Sea coast. The texture characteristics of mangrove sediments show that the mean size decreases in sediments
of coastal areas while increase in island sediments and the sediment type generally changes from sand to slightly gravelly
muddy sand. The sediments are composed mainly of poorly sorted, negatively nearly symmetrical and leptokurtic fine sands.
Cluster analysis showed that, distribution of gravel, sand and mud fractions is related to bottom facies and type of sediment
source. Generally, sand fraction is the main category among the three constituents. Geochemically the factor controlling the
carbonate content of studied sediments includes material supply of biogenic and terrigenous components. Therefore, sediments
of Hamata area, km 17 south Safaga, Wadi El-Gemal Island and Abu-Minqar Island are terrigenous sediments, while sediments
of km 37 north Quseir are highly carbonates. In general organic matter is higher in the mangrove sediments relative to adjacent
areas. The high organic matter in the mangrove sediments is primarily due to the high supply from primary productivity, terrestrial
and reworked sediments. Texture is the main controlling factor for the organic matter enrichment. Spatial variations in the
phosphorus content in the different studied localities are related to the sources of phosphorus to the area. In comparison,
cluster analysis indicates that phosphorus might be transported from terrestrial source to the sea through wadis draining
the excavated Upper Cretaceous phosphate rocks. Also, the abundance of phosphorus content may be attributed to phosphatization
of calcareous skeletons. Our observations provide knowledge on the physico-chemical effects and will be useful in the management
and suitable development of the areas under study. In addition it represent database in the future. 相似文献
