一、前言在我国,现代珊瑚岸礁主要分布在台湾省南部、雷州半岛和海南岛等沿岸地区。岸礁的发育对捕鱼、港工和航运等事业都有重要意义。海南岛鹿回头岸礁,许多中外学者对它进行过考察和研究工作,积累了丰富的资料,特别是解放后,中国科学院南海研究所进行的调查最多,亦较为系统。近两年来,为寻找古代礁相油、气田的规律,我们又在该岸礁区进行了沉积相的调查,以便进行古今对比,根据工作中所获,现对鹿回头岸礁区的沉积发育历史提出一些粗浅的看法,错误之处,恳请批评指正。  相似文献

本文以石炭纪的后生动物格架礁为例,从礁体生长过程和群落竞争关系的角度,对赋存于造礁生物群落中的海百合与造架珊瑚之间的关系,以及其在礁体发育过程中的作用进行详细探讨,揭示了礁生态系统内的生物因子之间的关系。研究发现:在礁体发育初期,以海百合为主的群落是造架珊瑚定殖的初始条件;在礁体的生长过程中,海百合与造架珊瑚之间存在一种受环境控制的竞争关系,两者在数量上呈现此消彼长的关系。当环境变化导致造架珊瑚死亡,礁体停止生长,海百合仍存活并不间断地为礁体提供沉积物,对已停止发育的珊瑚格架起到覆盖作用,从一定程度上保护了礁体  相似文献

南海北部大陆架现代礁源碳酸盐与陆源碎屑的混合沉积作用   总被引:18,自引:4,他引:18  
在南海北部大陆架陆源碎屑沉积占优势的背景上,在珊瑚岸礁和堡礁周围,广泛发育着礁源碳酸盐和陆源碎屑组成的混合沉积。它们以砂屑、砂砾屑结构为主并含有生物格架结构。混合沉积的形成条件是具备碳酸盐和硅质碎屑两类物源,活跃的水动力,干湿交替的气候,此外,海平面的相对波动,也会造成积极的影响。混合沉积方式有随机式、相变式和随机 - 相变式等三种。混合沉积体常是多种混合方式交替、叠加而成的沉积复合体。礁源与陆源混合沉积相模式是从岸礁 - 堡礁相模式基础上发展而来,按沉积相和沉积结构可以分为五种混合沉积:1)礁基混积岩和礁格架混积岩,2)礁坪砂砾屑混积岩,3)礁后海滩 - 沙堤砾砂屑混合沉积,4)礁后泻湖砂屑混合沉积和5)礁前(翼)浅海砂屑混合沉积。礁源与陆源混合沉积的鉴别标志是珊瑚骨屑和岩屑各占10 - 50 %,其它生物碎屑不计。南海大陆架现代混合沉积是一个典型的实例,可为全面研究现代南海沉积学和比较沉积学提供依据。  相似文献

黔南布寨生物礁受同沉积断层控制,发育在开阔台地边缘,其西南部和东北部分别是台盆相和滨海相沉积区。礁主要由以层孔虫和床板珊瑚为主的群落建成。礁相可明显划分出礁前、礁核、礁翼和礁后等亚相,其中礁后亚相与邻区的生物礁有很大区别,显示它发育在比邻区礁相对较深的环境中。生物礁的发育受到海平面升降的控制,分为两个大的旋回,分别形成鸡泡段和鸡窝寨段的生物礁  相似文献

对柴达木盆地东北缘石炭系地层中生物礁的发育特征及区域展布进行了系统阐述。基于野外实地考察与室内镜下分析,采用地球化学与岩石学方法相结合,总结归纳柴达木盆地东北缘石炭系生物礁的岩石学特征、生物特征以及地层特征,分析生物礁主要产出层位及规模大小,探讨其古环境与油气地质意义。研究结果表明:柴达木盆地东北缘石炭系造礁生物主要为四射珊瑚,其次为横板珊瑚,发育锥状、盘状的单体珊瑚和管状、丛状、蜂窝状的群体珊瑚,附礁生物为腕足、等;珊瑚礁在岩层中以点状产出,呈不连续带状分布,依据其在地层中的发育规律与展布特征,分为簇状竖直丛生管状珊瑚、簇状水平延伸管状珊瑚以及簇状顶端向下倾斜管状珊瑚;根据岩石中的生物颗粒含量,生物礁灰岩储层岩石类型分为珊瑚骨架灰岩、珊瑚颗粒石灰岩、生物颗粒质石灰岩、含生物颗粒石灰岩以及泥晶灰岩。柴达木盆地东北缘早石炭世以碳酸盐台地环境为主,晚石炭世以海陆交互的潮坪环境为主。研究区石炭系生物礁主要位于下石炭统怀头他拉组三、四段,在石灰沟、旺尕秀等剖面可见厚层油砂,指示柴达木盆地东北缘石炭系具有良好的生烃潜力。  相似文献

广西贵港蒙公下泥盆统郁江组珊瑚层状礁是广西早泥盆世塘丁期生物礁的代表。通过野外剖面的测制及详细的室内镜下薄片研究以及微量元素地球化学分析,认为该区发育由单个层状礁在垂向上反复出现形成较大规模的礁复合体。主要造礁生物为床板珊瑚、四射珊瑚,含量为70%~80%,附礁生物主要有单体珊瑚、腕足、腹足等。生物礁的生长发育与C、O同位素值呈现正相关关系。礁下部混积陆棚相泥岩是良好的烃源岩,导致了后期同层砂岩裂缝内烃类物质充注。  相似文献

对雷州半岛西南部珊瑚岸礁区1995~1997年生长的造礁珊瑚Poriteslutea的骨骼密度、生长速度和δ18O分析表明:1)造礁珊瑚骨骼的密度、生长速度和δ18O与其生存环境的表层海水温度之间存在很好的相关性,高密度、低生长速率和高δ18O值对应于冬季;2)δ18O具有明显的年际和季节性变化。根据δ18O估计的表层海水温度变化范围与实测基本一致,进一步揭示了珊瑚骨骼δ18O可作为定量研究高分辨率表层海水温度变化的温度计。  相似文献

西藏改则地区上三叠统日干配错组发育有大量生物礁,造礁生物有六射珊瑚、钙质海绵和钙藻类,附礁生物为双壳类、有孔虫、苔藓虫、棘皮动物、腹足类、腕足类等。单个礁体的生物发育顺序可分为5个阶段,自下而上依次为:钙藻类+双壳类+腹足类→钙藻类+双壳类+六射珊瑚→六射珊瑚→六射珊瑚+钙质海绵+苔藓虫→生物碎屑。与此相对,各礁体岩性演化顺序也包括5段:生物碎屑灰岩→障积岩→骨架岩→粘结岩→生物碎屑和内碎屑灰岩。台地边缘生物礁的发育经历了3个旋回,各旋回组成结构相似,礁体均由礁基、礁核和礁顶构成,生物礁经历了生物礁奠基、初期繁盛、最大繁盛和生物礁衰亡4个演化阶段。旋回Ⅰ和旋回Ⅱ规模较大,内部构成复杂,旋回Ⅲ规模较小,内部构成较简单,自下而上构成一个海侵大背景下的次级进积序列。  相似文献

珊瑚是地球上最古老的原住民,具有近6×108年的发育史,弱势群居、喜温和原地长成是珊瑚的基本特征。作者介绍了珊瑚-珊瑚礁的基本特征,综述了跨十年调查的研究区珍贵照片资料和相关认识,指出中国是全球主要的珊瑚-珊瑚礁国家,地位举足轻重;珊瑚-珊瑚礁作为地球生物多样性的代表,造岛、固礁、护鱼、防护岛岸流失,形成南海四大群岛280余座岛、礁、滩、沙,所构建庞大海洋生态系统是无与伦比的海洋生态资源和寸土寸金的南海海洋国土。提出划分南海珊瑚-珊瑚礁为中央区和周缘区2个分布区,阐述了南海中央区珊瑚-珊瑚礁的基本特征,系统汇集报道了间隔10年2个科考航次调查在浅水礁盘浮潜、至20 m水深浅潜-深潜和礁盘及开展岛、礁、滩、沙地质调查的发现,包括科学定名46种六放石珊瑚和6种八放软珊瑚等成果,同时,收集了西沙、中沙、东沙和南沙群岛海域的相关调查航次珊瑚照片;进一步阐述了单体环礁和复合环礁的特征及分布,并进行了初步对比,指出永乐环礁是南海唯一一个真正的切合达尔文模式的环礁,也是环礁发展到最高阶段的产物,构成现代海洋珊瑚-珊瑚礁形成演化研究最好的天然实验室。  相似文献

Down‐faulting at the north‐west margins of the Gulf of Aqaba is inferred to have triggered a catastrophic sedimentary event at 2.3 ka that killed the Elat fringing coral reef. Whereas segments of the Holocene reef were perfectly fossilized and preserved beneath a veneer of siliciclastic sediments, other segments were abraded, settled by nomads, and later re‐submerged under 4 m of water. Repeated damage triggered by down‐throwing earthquakes degenerate the fringing reefs of the north‐west end of the gulf. Conversely, on the north‐eastern and southern parts of the gulf, where earthquakes uplift the margins, modern reefs are thriving, attached to uplifted fossil reef terraces. Therefore, coastal subsidence moderates the development of fringing coral reefs during the late Holocene sea‐level stand still.  相似文献

海南三亚鹿回头半岛珊瑚礁和连岛坝的发育   总被引:8,自引:1,他引:7  
海南岛南端三亚市鹿回头半岛由鹿回头岭陆连岛、椰庄连岛坝和南边岭-火岭三部分组成。该地珊瑚岸礁发育良好。为揭示珊瑚礁发育历史,作者在椰庄连岛坝上打了一口深达26.5m穿透第四纪松散沉积物的钻孔,并对钻孔岩芯进行了微体古生物和孢粉分析以及14C和热释光年龄测定,从而区分出晚更新世和全新世两套海相地层,其间隔以晚更新世末期的陆相沉积。研究表明,本区的珊瑚礁主要建造于标高-13—-9m左右的松散沉积物基底上,开始出现于8500—8000aB.P,繁盛于6300—4800aB.P.的全新世最高海面时期,当时海面高于现今2—3m或更多。近五千年来,随海面波动和下降,珊瑚礁发育渐趋衰退,连岛坝随之开始形成。  相似文献

Coral reefs are often constrained by diagenesis as a sound environmental archive. The correct understanding and evaluation of diagenesis is the key to the paleoenvironmental reconstruction of coral reefs. The diagenesis of coral reefs mainly includes cementation, dissolution, neomorphism and dolomitization etc. On the one hand, the diagenesis itself can record the paleoenvironment that coral reefs underwent, such as sea-level fluctuation, climate change, change of sea water, hydrothermal alteration, microbial activity and so on. The diagenetic evolution thus can be used for the reconstruction of paleoenvironment change. On the other hand, diagenesis also destroys the original environmental information which recorded of coral reefs recard, and it is necessary to know the degree of the impact of diagenesis. In the future, we should pay more attention to the study on the relationships among diagenesis, modern climate, sea-level change, atmospheric water transformation and microbial activity. It can provide more accurate and longer time series of paleoenvironmental information that coral reefs recorded.  相似文献

海南岛南岸的珊瑚礁,是我国全新世珊瑚岸礁最为发育的地区之一,仅次于台湾岛南端的恒春半岛沿岸。前人从生物学[1-5]、地貌学[6-8]和地质学[9-12]角度对海南岛南岸的珊瑚礁进行过较为广泛的研究。作者报道过崖县鹿回头水尾岭剖面珊瑚礁样品的C14年代测定结果[13,14]。1979年底至1980年初,作者在海南岛南岸东起小东海沿岸西至西瑁岛西岸地区进行了野外调查与采样。根据野外和室内分析资料,本文公布了一批新测试的C14年代数据,并进一步讨论了全新世珊瑚礁的发育历史及其与海岸变迁、海面变化和地壳运动的关系等问题。  相似文献

The importance of intertidal estuarine habitats, like salt marsh and oyster reef, has been well established, as has their ubiquitous loss along our coasts with resultant forfeiture of the ecosystem services they provide. Furthering our understanding of how these habitats are evolving in the face of anthropogenic and climate driven changes will help improve management strategies. Previous work has shown that the growth and productivity of both oyster reefs and salt marshes are strongly linked to elevation in the intertidal zone (duration of aerial exposure). We build on that research by examining the growth of marsh-fringing oyster reefs at yearly to decadal time scales and examine movement of the boundary between oyster reef and salt marsh at decadal to centennial time scales. We show that the growth of marsh-fringing reefs is strongly associated to the duration of aerial exposure, with little growth occurring below mean low water and above mean sea level. Marsh-shoreline movement, in the presence or absence of fringing oyster reefs, was reconstructed using transects of sediment cores. Carbonaceous marsh sediments sampled below the modern fringing oyster reefs indicate that marsh shorelines within Back Sound, North Carolina are predominantly in a state of transgression (landward retreat), and modern oyster-reef locations were previously occupied by salt marsh within the past two centuries. Cores fronting transgressive marsh shorelines absent fringing reefs sampled thinner and less extensive carbonaceous marsh sediment than at sites with fringing reefs. This indicates that fringing reefs are preserving carbonaceous marsh sediment from total erosion as they transgress and colonize the exposed marsh shoreline making marsh sediments more resistant to erosion. The amount of marsh sediment preservation underneath the reef scales with the reef’s relief, as reefs with the greatest relief were level with the marsh platform, preserving a maximum amount of carbonaceous sediments during transgression by buffering the marsh from erosional processes. Thus, fringing oyster reefs not only have the capacity to shelter shorelines but, if located at the ideal tidal elevation, they also keep up with accelerating sea-level rise and cap carbonaceous sediments, protecting them from erosion, as reefs develop along the marsh.  相似文献

波浪的传播变形对珊瑚岛礁附近的营养物质输送以及近岸珊瑚沙运动都起着关键的作用,同时也是礁盘顶部建筑物在设计和施工过程中需要重点考虑的因素,因此,对波浪在礁坪上的传播变形进行研究具有重要意义。利用FUNWAVE 2.0数值模型模拟了不规则波浪在不同形状岸礁上的传播变形过程,讨论了礁前斜坡坡度以及珊瑚底面粗糙程度对波浪在礁坪上传播变形的影响。结果显示,随着礁坡斜率增大,不对称度参数绝对值的增长趋势逐渐变缓,波浪在光滑礁坪上的不对称度绝对值要略大于粗糙底面上的值,而不同地形下计算得到的波浪偏度参数则基本相同。说明礁坡坡度对波浪的不对称度特征具有显著影响,礁坪粗糙度的影响则相对较小,而上述因素对波浪偏度的影响则完全可以忽略。给出了考虑这两个影响因素的礁坪区域内波浪偏度和不对称度经验公式。  相似文献

Studies on the coral reefs of the South China Sea (SCS) was the theme of the 6th Session of the 3rd Conference on Earth System Science (CESS) in Shanghai, 2014. This session discussed the most recent study developments on the SCS coral reefs, including coral reefs’ responses to global changes, coral reefs’ records on past climatic variations, and the activities about constructions and oil gas explorations in the coral reefs areas of the SCS. Disturbed by intensive anthropogenic activities and global climate warming, coral reefs in the SCS have declined dramatically, reflecting the up to 80% decrease of living coral cover and many areas having less than 20% of living coral cover. Geochemical data of SCS coral skeletons clearly show that since the Industry Revolution, the pollution situation of the SCS have dramatically increased and the seawater pH values have been continuously lowering, i.e. oceanic acidification. All these environmental phenomenon are further stressing the healthy development of the coral reef ecosystem in the SCS. Meanwhile, the poor coral reef ecosystems in the SCS are facing more anthropogenic disturbances such as coastal developments and engineering constructions. Obviously, the SCS coral reefs will be faced with more environmental challenges in the coming future. We therefore suggest that the policy makers should realize the extreme importance and the fragile of the coral reef ecosystems, and scientifically and with great cautions design construction project when in coral reef areas. We initiated the concept of “green engineering” for future developments in coral reef areas. Coral reefs are widely spreading in the whole SCS, and most of them developed since Miocene. Variations in coral reef structures provide good future oil-gas exploration. Because the SCS coral reefs have a long-developing history and a wide spatial distribution, they provide great potential in recording past environmental changes.  相似文献

Elizabeth and Middleton Reefs are atoll-like structures that have developed on top of volcanic edifices and are close to the southern environmental limit of reef development in the southwest Pacific. Reef morphology and vertical accretion rates during the Holocene appear similar to those on other more tropical reefs. Sediment samples were collected from the lagoon of both reefs and around the flanks of Middleton Reef. A distinctly chlorozoan assemblage was observed with coral, molluscs, Halimeda, coralline algae and foraminifers being the dominant sediment constituents. Lagoon sediment samples show little variation within or between reefs, lacking the concentric zonation characteristic of larger atolls. Samples collected from the flanks of Middleton Reef, and subsurface material from vibrocores, differ compositionally from the surficial lagoon sand and were typically more tropical in character. A comparison of the sediment constituents from these reefs with those of samples from within a fringing reef and from the shelf around Lord Howe Island, further south, indicated regional patterns in sediment composition. Halimeda rapidly decreased in abundance with increased latitude, and appeared confined to deeper water, whereas coralline red algae increased significantly. The rapid change in these major sediment contributors is coincident with the general decrease in coral growth rates with latitude. This reinforces the notion that the latitudinal limit of reef development is constrained by factors other than coral growth alone.  相似文献

本文以政府间气候变化专业委员会(IPCC)于2001年专门报告中关于21世纪内全球气候变化的温度和海平面变化的预估为前提。简要介绍了中国珊瑚礁的定位、类型和分布,对其进行了成熟度分类,评估了全球海平面变化对中国珊瑚礁的影响。据预测,21世纪我国各海域海平面上升以南海最大,为32 ~ 98cm,其平均上升速率为0.32 ~ 0.98cm/a。从海平面上升速率与珊瑚礁生长速率的理论对比分析,中国珊瑚礁基本上能与前者同步生长,即使海平面以预估高值上升,也不会威胁其生存。从中国珊瑚礁成熟度较高、其生长趋势以侧向生长为主的现实状况出发,未来全球海平面上升能为其创造向上生长的有利条件。从古地理学“将古论今”观点出发,自全新世6000aBP以来曾存在过的高海平面和较高表层海水温度的历史,也可以佐证,21世纪的全球海平面上升不会对中国珊瑚礁的存在和发育造成威胁。现存的珊瑚礁岛应对于全球海平面上升,可以做到“水涨岛高”,它们能够屹立于上升了的未来海平面之上;但对于岛上的人工建筑物则会被浸、被淹,或被淘蚀和破坏,因此必须根据海平面上升的幅度和速率,采取相应的防御措施。  相似文献
